No wake up call and this is not the first time. We stay at this location every three months due to Doctor visit and I do like the site but we seemingly can never get a wake up call on time and sometimes not at all.
Very good multi-night room rates. Rooms are spacious, clean, well-supplied. Comfortable bed. Parking is limited, not enough spaces. No central ice machine (just refrigerator in room, but no ice pre-made).
Plenty of room and nice kitchen. Spacious and very functional. Fantastic breakfast and staff was helpful. Maintenance of the buildings and grounds could be improved. Tub faucet leaked and couch cushions torn. Dishes missing from kitchen.
The room had a mold problem in the bathroom. The tub had rust around the base of the faucet. The tub was chipped in several locations. The thermostat had a glowing blue light that could pass for a night light. After parking the car we had an unusually long walk from the parking space to the room.
Other than being excessively noisy my stay was enjoyable. If you want to experience sleeping in the median of I75 this is the spot for you! Very loud traffic noise for entire stay. You better be a sound sleeper if you are staying here.
convenience rugs shampooed and still wet
Location, the quiet and the cost. (Many hotels in the area are in the noise of the Dayton Mall) bed was comfortable everything was clean! I am spoiled by more expensive hotels--I missed breakfast and microwave....but everything was just right for this inexpensive stay. Staff was nice--we had all we needed.
Inexpensive, comfortable bed. Front desk attendants, blood on toilet, water to shower didn't work, scary drug addicts. Checked in and desk attendant was on phone with ebay on a personal call. Creepy guy came in and asked for a spoon and stared at me for no reason...guessing he was using it for drugs. Ended up seeing him two doors down from us..people coming and going from his room...guessing drug related. Blood on toilet. Water to shower didn't work. Told desk as I checked out and he laughed and said it was probably frozen but didn't apologize or attempt to make up for it.
Location was convenient for early morning flight. My son had a flight as an unaccompanied minor and the extra time needed for paperwork is understandable but it was a 6am flight. There wasn't anything out for breakfast before we left because of the early flight. Additionally, they closed the pool precisely at 10p. They cited security reasons for the promptness but it sounds a bit unnecessary. We weren't able to take part in any of the 'added conveniences' due to our circumstances.
Service, food, cleanliness, the total experience was excellent!
It was clean, staff was friendly and they served warm dinner and breakfast included with the stay.
The staff were very pleasant. It was a great value for me and my kids. Breakfast and evening food were great. Popcorn in the afternoon was an unexpected bonus!
Very nice hotel. Great breakfast. Website suggests room service which was not available.
While the Homewood is a somewhat dated, the beds are comfortable and suites contain essential elements to ensure guest comfort. I enjoy staying here. Many hotels now consider guests who do not consume red meat. I skipped the breakfast because of this and spent money at local restaurants. Also, rates are higher than comparable properties.
This makes the second time I have stayed in a Drury Inn. Both experiences were pleasant. The facilities are always clean, the people friendly and I like that I can bring my pets if I need to. The hot breakfast was a selling point the first time, and now it is a welcome reminder of how I will look for Drury whenever I travel. The staff was pleasant and helpful and I have felt very safe during both stays. We were all impressed by the price of our stay. The benefits of breakfast, evening snacks, friendly staff, cleanliness and feeling of safety far outway the cost of the stay.
We reserved our king Suite at the Drury Inn in Middletown, Ohio three months in advance. One week before our arrival date, we were sent an email reservation confirmation for a suite with two queen beds instead of the king bed that we had reserved. I called to correct the problem and was told that the king suite was no longer available for the dates of our stay. Had I received the email confirmation immediately, I would have corrected the problem right away. But since they waited until right before our arrival date to send the confirmation, the king suite that we wanted (and had reserved) was no longer available. I was told that we could move from the queen suite to the king suite on the second night of our stay. But we would have to check out of the queen suite by 11:00 am and check back into the king suite after 3:00 pm. So the morning after our arrival we packed our bags again and checked out of our queen suite, with reassurances from the staff that the king suite was waiting for us when we were allowed to check back in at 3:00. When I arrived just a few hours later to check into the king suite that we had been promised, it was not available! No suites were available at all at that point! The management at this hotel had better get their act together regarding reservations. Every staff member we talked to at the front desk was confused about the reservation system. I understand this hotel is new, but it's not going to last long if they can't take and honor a simple reservation.
Enjoyed our Stay. Staff Very Polite. Hotel very clean. Nice dining area. Decent breakfast (biscuits and gravy, sausage, juice, waffles, scrambled eggs, cereal + more) Free soda fountain until 11pm, free popcorn too (kids enjoyed this) Pool was nice (indoor/outdoor), but pool chemicals smelled a little strong. Great T.V. in the room - LCD flat screen (LG). Great value for the price. Will stay again.
Liked the amenities (wifi, LCD TV, refrigerator, coffee maker, etc). Rooms were very clean and quiet. Unlike other hotels in the area, lots of TV channels available including local weather. Close to restaurants, Kroger, Meijer, but a bit of a trick to get to gas (Meijer is closest). First time at this property, but not the last.
The front desk staff were very friendly. We were there for a family funeral and were given their condolances several times with our stay. There were a total of four rooms that were taken up by other family members that also enjoyed there stay. \n\nWe stay in 3 -4 hotels per year and loved this hotel. We are planing a family reunion and planing on staying here again!!! We didn't know there was a pool and small hot tub, so we didn't bring swim suits. The pool is inside/outside. The free hot breakfast was good also. All the staff were very friendly and eager to please.
We stayed here for the Southern & Western tennis tournament which was about 15 miles away. We only paid * a night which I think is a great bargain for a hotel room these days. The room was large, very clean and had comfortable beds. Each bed had 3 pillows, each with different thicknesses to choose from. It had a flat screen tv(!), a microwave and a mini-fridge. We had leftovers from dinner one night and were able to save them in the fridge and reheat them the next day for a snack. The bathroom was also large and actually kind of luxurious with granite and marble throughout. They had nightly free cocktails and snacks (which I sadly had to miss everynight since I was at the tournament), but it sounded nice. The free breakfast was the usual cereals, fruits, yogurts, eggs, sausage, etc. Not bad. The only reason I gave dining was because there was no restaurant in the hotel, you had to go out to eat. We got back late one night and couldn't find anywhere to eat and had to order a pizza. Other then that, I would stay here again, much nicer then other mid-price hotels.
Very nice, clean hotel. Worth the extra money for nightly stays...snacks in evening and great breakfast buffet. Staff are always willing to please and very friendly and helpful. Great Location!! Plan on staying at this hotel on future visits to town to visit family.
Nice new hotel. Had problems with tv, maintenance came quick. Have nice LCD tvs. Had 2 room suite. Large living area with pull out sofa sleeper. Daughter said it slept decent. She had very good wireless reception on her laptop in that room. Nice bathroom and bedroom was good size with wonderful king sized bed and plasma tv. Nice closet area also. Room had not been cleaned properly. Crumbs all over bedroom floor. Refrig had not been cleaned, items left from prior quests. Trash had not been changed. Elevator was out of order. Had to take luggage up 4 floors. Other parts of the hotel seemed very nice. Had great breakfast and evening reception. Our dog was accepted very well. Great to have a good place to stay that not only allow pets, but do not charge fees. Managment took the time to come up to our room and address issues. Staff was impeccible, from front desk, management and also maintenance. We were compensated for our problems and that revealed to me that they did care. Lots of restaurants close. I would definitely return to this hotel again. Have stayed at many Drury's and will continue to patronize their corporation because of the staff I have encountered and their williness to do things right.
Itt was a clean and nice place to stay. There wasn't a lot of noise exept for some taffici. They had a nice pool and spa. I would stay again.
This is a very nice, new hotel,. The only problem is the location, which is close to the freeway and the main road is right out front. Late at night when going to sleep and early in the morning you will hear all of the traffic gunning their engines to make it through the lights or the semi's 'jake braking' to stop at the light. If you are a light sleeper, be prepared. Breakfast was ok.
Very friendly staff and room was great. Parking is a difficulty as the complimentary is hard to find and the valet is expensive.
The location was perfect for New Year's Eve as the hotel was centrally located near the bars downtown and the room was quite large. The furniture was starting to look outdated and light switches were everywhere rather than near the door. Parking was also a bit confusing as it was across the street at the convention center. The staff was very friendly; however, I was charged twice for the room and it took 14 days to resolve this issue.
Very nice place!
Comfortable suite with 2 queen beds and pullout sofa sleeper Use of styrofoam plates for breakfast
Comfy after long day of driving. Pool was perfect.
Large room, clean, front desk personnel were very helpful and outgoing.
The manager was terrific. She went out of her way to make sure that our reservation was handled. I had booked online and the company that handled the payment transaction never paid for the room.
The free breakfast was really good. It was a little quiet but nice
Awful hotel. Rooms smell, carpet wet and dirty, bathrooms not clean, breakfast not good either.
Close to hospital DIRTY ! Smelt like urine. Was charged a $ 20.00 deposit for key that has NOT showed up yet.
The management did everything they could to help and they were very solicitous. We were booked into a smoking room. I didn't see where to select this when I reserved the room.
Close to highway, restaurants close by,shopping center close, petrol stations close
Price is good, dog friendly. Found a crack pipe under the desk
customer service was great!!
Friendly staff Not so clean
clean room smelled funky
The staff was responsive to taking care of problems. But, they should not have occurred in the first place. Upon arrival either kayak or the hotel had lost our reservation fortunately I had a copy of the confirmation. When we arrived in the room the room appeared to be acceptable after turning down the bed I discovered the sheets had not been changed from the previous occupant this is something I find completely unacceptable. To their credit the staff did changes to another room
The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. I didn't like having my name on the receipt with a different credit card number and an unknown address. It turns out that because I made the reservation online, the credit card number and address were from Priceline.
The entire hotel was run down and dirty. Our bed sheets were stained and everything seemed to have a layer of dust on it. Also the air conditioning would not work and the room was very hot. We would never suggest anyone to stay there. Definitely not a 3 star hotel!
Very clean! Easy to get to - Nice staff - indoor pool Dark depressing old expensive for what it was I think something must've been going on in town for the rates on everything around there to be so high
No smoking room had a musty almost smokey odor. Woke with headache.
Beds are comfortable and rooms are clean. Set up of room is logical
We were on the third floor in the corner. It was nice and quiet and didn't hear the highway traffic. Breakfast of eggs and sausage plus more was good. There wasn't enough seating area for breakfast.
Right off the interstate. Plenty of restaurants and stores near by. Room was dated, but clean. Lots of shady looking people hanging outside there rooms drinking into the night.. DID NOT FEEL SAFE!!! After normal business hrs front desk has to buzz you in to the lobby like a prison. Booked on Kayak, but charged by Red Roof Inn. They did issue a refund, but it takes at least 3 business days to process the refund. I would not stay here again!
Proximity to airport and restaurants. Staff seemed a bit lost. Room smelled dirty and moldy. Comforter was stained. Gnats and flies in the room. Stained counter top beside sink. Numerous light bulbs were shot.
convenient to I-70/75; comfortable beds room smelled strongly of smoke; road noise and parking lot construction
Room was fairly clean, good TV, clock radio worked ok, shower was good. They gave us a handicapped unit (which we didn't ask for) that had virtually no counter space in the bathroom. We had to use the floor. Also, when we arrived at the motel in Dayton, we went to the office to check in at about 6pm on Saturday evening. There was no-one in the office and the door was locked. We had to wait nearly 15 minutes (it was very cold outside) until the clerk showed up. By that time there were three customers waiting to get in. She had been out at one of the units trying to fix the lock mechanism. There was no-one else on duty. If I hadn't already pre-paid for the room on line, I would have left to find another motel. I'm not sure if I'll be back to Red Roof because of it.
Nothing about this hotel was appealing, other than it was cheap. The TV did work as did the shower but not much else went well. This was sold as a non-smoking room, it clearly was not. The room stunk of cigarette smoke and it was everywhere. The walls even smelled of smoke. The manager was not willing to do anything about it other than offer 15% off our next stay. That is useless as we do not intend on using a Red Roof Inn again.
Room was clean enough although smelled a bit musty Sketchy part of town, was a female traveling alone and was a bit scared to sleep there
Staff Room smells really bad although i took "100% Smoke Free"
The location and the room The couch was horrible, uncomfortable and old.
Bed was clean and comfortable.. the lay out was nice.. The bathtub and the cabinets and the sink.. the carpet need to be pulled updated to wood floors..
Bed was very uncomfortable, dated decor and musty smell
Staff was friendly, bed was comfy. Lots of damage to ceiling, kind of dingy... Lots of trash laying around outside of building
Hospitality was awesome
Staff was Awesome and surprisingly helpful, friendly, and courteous. The evening check in clerk Arminta was exceptional. Breakfast was very well stocked and variety provided a good selection for all breakfast styles. Breakfast area TV a tad too loud in eating area. But that's just.
- Large room low cost - Clean beds - Wifi connection was good - The breakfast bar is Fantastic! Best one I have been too in the US -parking lot was pretty packed with large trucks -carpeting in room was coming up in spots and looked as if it was in place since the 90's -Water fixtures in shower need maintenance (pressure/flow) - No way to adjust heat (bring extra blanket) - Stove dirty and busted up
This is a run down, dirty place. The beds were sagging, the carpet dirty, the furnishings old, the shower rod broken - This is at best a 2 start and really a one star. The parking is horrible with a long walk outdoors to building 5 where my room was. Please take this off your 3 star rating.
The front desk clerk who checked us in was excellent. The room was terrible. It was dirty, and even though we asked for it to be cleaned, housekeeping never touched it. We checked out early due to the uncleanliness of the place.
Wonderful location, helpful staff and great complimentary breakfast. Our room was in need of an update. and deep cleaning. Furniture was worn and soiled, and mattress was very bad on the fold-out sleeper sofa and needed new/newer linens.
The full kitchen, the pullout couch, more than just a hotel room, excellent lighting, a balcony or patio with appropriate doors, plenty of closet and cupboard space, the dishes, glassware and utensils that were provided. A fully functioning fireplace. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The next visit I will be more prepared to make full use of the facilities. The balcony was small. The carpet seams were rough. Water temperature was hard to adjust on all of the faucets. The stairs were rotting. They were fuzzy due to lack of direct sunlight.
Struggled to find a room late at night while traveling. They had a room available. In very bad need of cleaning and remodeling.
