Adjacent to the Carson Valley Inn is the Carson Valley Motor Lodge. The Lodge is located less than two miles from Carson Valley Museum, and about five miles away from the Mormon Station State Park. Less than 10 miles away is the Lake Tahoe State Park, and the hotel provides free airport shuttles to the Minden Airport. There are two golf course nearby: Carson Valley Golf Course and Genoa Lakes Golf Course. The Galaxy Ski Lift is just over six miles away. Popular landmarks in the vicinity include Heavenly Ski Resort, South Tahoe Ice Arena, Balloons over Lake Tahoe, and South Lake Tahoe Massage.

The guest rooms can be equipped with either an extra-large king-sized bed or two double beds. Pets are not allowed at the hotel.
