Great if you like staying in a hotel next to an abandoned construction site. hotel is seperated from site by ugly chain link fence. Hotel entrance hard to access.
My friends and I stayed at this hotel in February and it was actually pleasant. I was a little hesitant booking the hotel because of the reviews but the rooms were clean, it was not scary, and we did not have any problems with noise. The Concierge was a little off-standish when we were checking in but he warmed eventually. The breakfast buffet was not worth even checking out. Go to the McDonalds across the street. I would stay there again just because it was clean and we (four girls) felt safe. Even though it's in Nevada it was very close to Kirkwood and Heavenly.
The room was clean and nice, nothing over the edge but good to stay and the staff was helpful!
We stayed in this new hotel during July 4th 2009. It was a lot more economical than those in S and N Lake Tahoe. About half hour drive to S. Lake Tahoe and it was easy to drive around other places, like Kings Beach. Because it is new, I did expect the interior neat and clean. And it was. Here is my list of dissatisfaction. We were given a handicapped room because they were out of standard rooms. There was no bath tub which was a big disappointment for me. We asked for a couple more of pillows, they could only find one and seems they were short of supply. Air conditioner was so lousy. Cleaning lady knocked on your door at 8 AM in the morning. In the middle of night, other hotel customers talked and laughed loud right outside your window, We were on the 2nd Floor. We called front desk for help, nobody there. We ended up calling out loud to stop them. Interior swimming pool and jacuzzi were so small and cloudy. Complimentary breakfast area is small and would become so crowded when everyone went there at the same time. Anyhow, some of these problems I should have expected beforehand.
Check-in was a little shakey......staff person a little overwhelmed. Breakfast was great! A/C in our room was very loud.
I booked our trip a month in advance, we arrived at 7:00pm to find out there was a screw up in their system and no king size bed was available as requested. We were put into a room with what they claim were two queen beds but they were only fulls. We had our two dogs with us so the first night was impossible for 2 people to sleep in one bed, we slept in seperate beds or the third night opted to push the beds together. The room set up was tight with an oversized desk chair blocking the isle and a corner chair jammed in the corner of the room. They only had 13 channels no option for a pay channel, the walls were thin you could hear your neighbor. If there was any other place that took dogs I would have stayed there. They didn't even offer to move us to antoher room the next day or anything. The only nice thing is we took advantage of the free breakfast. This hotel is pricey for the rural town of 'Minden NV'.
We enjoy the Holiday Inn Express brand and have stayed at this location before. Service and condition have deteriorated. Convenient location to Minden, Carson City and Lake Tahoe. Especially nice to have only a short drive to Tahoe. The property is clean and neat, but was badly understaffed when we visited. The beds were very hard and the air conditioner was noisy and had no fan function, just on/off. Other Carson/Minden properties offer nicer rooms for less money.
located near my events and within easy driving distance of area attractions.
Place was clean. Staff was freindly helpful and courteous. Continental breakfast was good.........something to put in your stomach. Pool was freezing !!
Room was clean Beds was comfortable Weren't aware we were staying at the lodge until we registered-information not provided when room was booked Used the spa-water was lukewarm Bar drinks were inexpensive, but practically non-alcoholic
The Cvi did not have our reservations on file when we arrived. They were able to get us rooms, not the rooms we needed, but way cheaper.
Over all everything was very Convenient, JOB's coffee shop needs more help. Coffee took forever and was never made right. I ordered the same thing every day and everyday is was different and consistently getting worse. The staff was very friendly in there however she needs more help !
Free WiFi, clean basic rooms. Staff is reasonable and allows later check outs. Check-in process was much more difficult than it needed to be.
Nice room and facilities. Noisy people next door but hotel was responsive.
The fridge was stocked and they even had his / her bathrobes Shower did not have the curved bar that allows more room
Comfortable clean friendly quiet and inexpensive Everything was perfect and the price was great
Room was large, staff friendly Bed was too soft, air conditioning worked poorly - never got to desired temp
Roomy, clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Nice lounge area.
Room was small but comfortable nice bed Lots of street noise (traffic). Pricey for what u get.
Cleanliness and comfortable
Lobby, decor, staff
The geographic location is terrific. The location has great potential. The room is filthy. The carpet is frayed, The shower had black mold around the seals in the door. There was no coffee pot the first night. The beds, mattress, linens are old. The room smelled like stale smoke. The windows are dirty. The carpet needed to be cleaned. The room did not look like anything in your advertisement. The staff was only marginally interested in helping us. I would have never stayed there if I had known how crappy this place is. I want my money back. Do not let them book your clients into the "old section". This is just a cash machine for a company that does not care about quality or price. I am surprised the franchise lets them get away with it. Stu
