Pros: location and quiet

Pros: Great staff! I will definitely go back.
Cons: A little pricey.
Pros: Location, spacious clean room.
Cons: Understaffed cleaning and in 4 days my room never got serviced despite my card in the door that said service please. I had to ask for extra towels daily and linens were never changed and other things like trash, etc. only changed out once.

9.2 Excellent (32 reviews)
Experience the beauty of coastal North Carolina from the Bask Hotel at Big Rock Landing, part of the Trademark Hotel Collection. This modern hotel offers large, condo-style rooms, harbor views, and convenient amenities like free breakfast, a fitness center, and bicycle rental desk. Located off Highway 70 near Atlantic Beach, you will be steps from restaurants, breweries, and water activities like fishing and boating. Coastal Carolina Regional Airport is also within driving distance.
Pros: The room was very nice. The openness of the room felt like I was in someone's townhouse!
Cons: Not really, there are some things that are beyond your control like the ponding in the lower parking lot from the heavy rain.
Pros: Instead of just a room we had a very nice Efficiency. It was like a small apartment. The breakfast, although not a full breakfast, had a nice selection. The staff was also very helpful in helping me to set up my internet.
Cons: 'How would you like us to identify you?' I'm not from CT. The bathtub needs grab bars and non slip strips or something similar on the tub floor.
Pros: The lobby, outdoor seating, size of the guestroom, and breakfast were all great!
Cons: One hotel drier was marked "out of order", and multiple attempts to use the other resulted in hot but soaking wet clothes. We had to take our washed clothes to a laundromat. However, the staff gave us great directions, so we got there quickly.
Pros: Location. Bed...
Cons: Peeling paint in hallway.
Pros: The location was awesome for my needs.... I am very familiar to the area and it was central to all my favorite restaurants and dining. Honestly I was more than pleased with my accommodations.
Cons: Honestly not one thing.
Cons: Breakfast bar was not good, no pool.
Pros: Thye quietness along the waterfront
Cons: Parking area is a little hard, but we managed
Pros: Remodeled two bedroom condo with awesome views for the price of a regular hotel. Great location on the water and next to cool restaurants and bars.
Cons: I could hear people in the hallway pretty much everywhere in the room. Could use better sound proofing.
Pros: Rooms were roomy, and staff was nice.
Cons: The continental breakfast was disappointing. A hotel such as this should have more hearty offerings.

Pros: Very relaxing and great location.
Cons: Couldn't stay longer.
Cons: No fridge in room
Pros: Breakfast was exceptional. Porch above garden was pleasant. Average b&b.
Cons: Lots of stairs. Not handicap accessible.
Pros: Warm welcome and homemade cookies and snacks. Lovely house , very nicely furnished. Large room with a comfy bed and everything nicely presented and clean. We particularly liked the use of cycles and we enjoyed a ride on the waterfront. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful.
Pros: The beautiful gardens, yummy breakfast and friendly proprietors
Cons: Nothing to note
Pros: Enjoyed the quiet stay! Nicely decorated and comfortable. The hosts are great!
Pros: The food was excellent
Cons: The shower was very small
Pros: This is a lovely old property, where the attention to detail is magnificent. There are beautiful gardens and many special places to chill out. Appreciated 2 luggage racks. The communal breakfast was a treat and I was especially grateful for a breakfast that met my dietary requirements.
Pros: Breakfast was 5 star. Gardens are out of a magazine!
Cons: Not a thing
In addition to an indoor pool and a seasonal outdoor pool, Peppertree Atlantic Beach Villas a Festiva Resort provides outdoor tennis courts, miniature golf and a spa tub. High-speed wireless Internet access is complimentary. This beach condominium resort also offers a splash pad and barbecue grills. Onsite self parking is complimentary.
Pros: Location was great. Right next to the beach. The rooms were nice. the beds we're comfortable. Overall we all had a good weekend at the beach.
Cons: Fridge and phone were not working in the room they put me in. Housekeeping could have done a little better. The first thing my husband noticed was fruit loops on the living room floor when we first came in.
Pros: Clean, well-staffed facility with great access to the beach, restaurants, grocery store, and the aquarium. Fantastic Wi-Fi.
Cons: If I have to say something negative, I'd say the mini-golf course was too small. The only down side was the family above us making a racket every night, but that's not the resort's fault.
Pros: Check in was very quick and friendly. The location is great, very close to Beaufort and Morehead City. There is a grocery store about 5 minutes away. One shower had a built-in steam sauna! The beds were comfortable. Very quiet and close to beach.
Cons: The unit we stayed in was a little dated and the carpet needed repair.
Pros: We stayed for 2 nights in the one king bedroom condo with the pyramid trundle, it worked great for our little family. Kitchen is appointed with cooking items, well enough for us to make several meals and not eat out too much. Living area is comfy, plenty of seating, heated indoor pool was a short walk away, bathroom and bedroom are on the large side. Complex is a short drive from Pine Knoll Shores Aquarium, we drove to Morehead for most of our meals out as we stayed in February and many local restaurants were closed. Staff was friendly and helpful, especially Kelly who assisted with our reservation. We will stay again! Thank you!
Cons: Wifi didn't work in our condo during our 2-night stay, guest has to call customer service to figure out the problem, which was time consuming. Tech couldn't figure out the issue, said router needed to be reset on property which we were told Maintenance would do in the morning, didn't get done. Room was a little dirty, old pretzels under and in couch and coffee rings on counter. Otherwise, really good.
Pros: Location and activities.
Pros: Indoor and outdoor pool
Cons: The ice maker and tub drain did not work. I called some one to report it . Some guy came with terrible attitude and said he fixed it but didn't. Housekeeping only left one dishcloth and was given hard time about getting another set.
Pros: excellent location and facilities....only downside was dishes and laundry were not clean....have to watch those things....has never been a previous problem, and needs to be attended to asap. Otherwise it is a wonderful place to stay
Cons: see above

Cons: Maintanance person in room watching TV and talking on phone when we walked into the room. And then listening to stupid excuses why he was in the room. Finding clothing left in the room by previous occupant.
Pros: Bed was the BEST. Linens, towels: great. Room was a good size. Toiletries were OK. Fruit and coffee in the lobby was nice. Breakfast was above average. Parking: well-lit.
Cons: Did not like the shower head. Kind of flimsy. Would have like two plastic cups for cold drinks. Hotel only provided four paper cups for coffee and for the bathroom. I would have REALLY liked a bottle of water in the fridge upon arrival or to have been offered water at check-in. (But definitively did not detract from a courteous staff and clean hotel!)
Pros: Breakfast is very good . Plus coffee fresh and cookies and lemonade all day for guests Staff is Great!!
Cons: They closed the pool at 10pm and there is not any other place outside to set In the summer who wants to set inside at 10 need some chairs outside facing the water. Especially since you don't have balconies to sit out on
Pros: Convenient- lady at front desk around 5pm was SUPER NICE and great- comfy beds- breakfast was good
Cons: Water pressure wasn’t great- toilet and shower were both clogged- when we went to the front desk to get help she handed us a plunger instead of getting maintenance to fix it- disgusting. Not happy about that.
Pros: The employees were extremely friendly
Pros: Breakfast is ok, location is great, room view good
Cons: We checked in and the room was just finished, the next few days the room still was not cleaned, had to find someone for towels, this is after 4pm, made our own bed. Just not what I paid for, and the room was not cheap
Pros: Good breakfast Travel breakfast to go was very good Too!
Cons: The front desk staff hides in the office too much. People had to wait when they needed question answered.
Pros: Within walking distance of several restaurants. The view and closest of the sound. Very quiet..
Pros: Staff was awesome, the place was very clean, the view was great. And the breakfast was on par.
Cons: Everything was great.
Pros: The decor was very nice and the rooms were in great condition! There is a nice view of the water from one side of the hotel. When we had problems, the manager was very nice and helpful.
Cons: Inexperienced staff, didn't get good view and room wasn't ready when said it would be. Rude staff at breakfast, elevator broken and housekeeping carts everywhere when trying to eat breakfast.

Pros: Nice location
Cons: Maid service timing was just annoying. I would leave the room for hours at a time to give them a chance to do up room but ALWAYS came back to find it untouched. Then they would show up when I was in the room and wanted to rest very late in the day. I spoke to the front desk and they said they would take care of it, even going as far as writing down my room number and asking what time of day would be good for the maids to come in. Nothing happened. Also, the wifi was terrible. I overheard many people complaining about it. It disconnected constantly.
Pros: We only stayed one night due to Hurricane Florence, but we loved the room, the staff were great and we were right at the beach a few steps and we were there, the pool was large, clean and very refreshing the little bit were got to enjoy it anyway. We plan on staying again.
Cons: We liked everything about DoubleTree.
Pros: Great view from the room. The hotel has chairs and umbrellas for the beach, and pool towels. There is a bar near the pier, good place to watch the sunset.
Cons: Could not check in until 4.
Cons: The pillows
Pros: The closeness to the beach and pier were great.
Cons: The sliding glass door in room 720 did not work to enable us to stand on the balcony to view the roof tops / beach. The sink leaked, and the toliet plugged up.
Pros: Love Molly's Bar and Grill connected to hotel and on the beach.
Cons: Ocean view doesn't mean ocean front. You get an angle view of the ocean and rooftop on part of the hotel.
Cons: Had to leave because of mandatory evacuation due to hurricane!
Pros: The beach
Cons: The restaurant
Pros: location also easy to find
Cons: We did not that it was pet friendly
Pros: Clean, oceanfront location with a nice swimming pool as well. Convenient to restaurants and shops.
Cons: Showerheads need to be replaced. Poor water flow, some clogging.
Cons: The air conditioner was noisy due to the filter not having been replaced recently. It was very dirty, we did advise the front desk and they said they would send someone up, but no one did. Although I must admit, we were awaiting the hurricane so other things were a little more important. Also we stayed at another Hilton property on the way down and breakfast was included and also on the way back up after being evacuated. Much better value if breakfast is included.
When you stay at The Inn At Pine Knoll Shores in Atlantic Beach, you'll be on the beach, within a 5-minute drive of North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores and Theodore Roosevelt Natural Area. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, a safe deposit box at the front desk, and an elevator (lift). Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Beach easily accessible with only short distance, pool also but not open as outdoor pool and it is November!
Cons: doors to rooms are very heavy.
Pros: This place is decent. It does have a good beach location, right on the water and convenient to both Emerald Isle and Atlantic Beach. Beach quality at that location is also pretty good. Staff were super friendly and helpful and that always makes a big difference. Nice that all rooms have an ocean view - ours was great!
Cons: Mostly this place was mediocre and just seemed a little off and run down. The showers/foot spray coming back from the beach were out of order; there was a hose but you had to stand in a pool of old water that everybody else was using too (yuck). One elevator was broken, the outdoor kiosk was boarded up and abandoned, the shower in our bathroom was loose and the ceiling cheap; when we arrived a lampshade was missing from the main lamp in the room (they did fix it next day). On arrival they told us, you need to keep your AC on at 65F or you get condensation on the walls, which was weird. The AC was loud and blew on me while sleeping (I was able to shield it next night with a beach chair). We did not go to the restaurant after reading others' reviews.
Pros: Front beach balcony
Cons: The shower
Pros: This place is very welcoming and friendly would definitely stay here again
Pros: The property was nice and well decorated. Provided a wonderful view of the ocean while also maintaining comfort.
Cons: Your car will be soaked in ocean spray and will need to be washed and the elevator is dinky but other then those two things it’s a very nice stay for the price.
Pros: It was still construction and there were hand prints, etc on doors, appliances, tables.... Water pressure was awful in bath rooms, even though they put a new shower head, it didn’t help.
Cons: I told it above
Pros: Good quite location on the beach. The staff was super friendly.
Cons: The floors were damp from moisture in the air. The shower was tiny. The beds are very small and uncomfortable.
Pros: The beach was the only nice thing about this stay
Cons: Room was not ready until 5. We waited an hour for room and staff could care less didn't even apologize or give estimate when it would be ready. Found large toy under bedskirt. doors to bathroom stick and so did room doors. Elevator doors did not operate properly I started taking stairs. Ice machine was out of order. Definitely not worth the money.
Pros: Very nice staff wonderful.
Cons: The entertainment was poor. I have been coming for over 27 years been here through all name changes. The last 7 years we have come for a ladies weekend have always enjoyed however last 2 has been very disappointing. The lounge is not inviting to spend money on drinks cause there is no action or excitement going on and a 3 drink limit is crazy that is why we stay here cause we can go right up to our rooms and don’t have to drive anywhere...
Pros: Location great restaurant very good
Cons: 1st morning no water in bathroom shower or sink !!! Called front desk and they said they knew about it hoped to have issuer resolved by afternoon. Could have at least offered a complimentary bottle of water so we could at least brushed teeth or something.of course after that for the rest of the stay no ice machines were working water was back by late afternoon. Had to run for long time due to sediment. Too expensive for poor management. But great location.
Pros: It’s super sandy in the beds and they are very small if they are supposed to go queens
Cons: How sandy the floors stayed and no bath tub just a shower
With a stay at Sand Dollar Motel in Atlantic Beach, you'll be by the ocean, just steps from Triple S Marina and a 2-minute drive from Anchorage Marina. Free self parking is available onsite.
Cons: The place is misleading on line. I had to go to the back of a building to get to my room. The shower was nasty and the towels were stained. The chair in the room needed cleaning. I could not even sit in the chair. I will never book there again.
Cons: It is very small. They seem to cater to people renting by the month for work. I had to spray the place for bugs before I could sleep there. I give it one star.
Pros: Very close to the beach
Cons: Type of the room, but it was last minute booking so we had no choice
Pros: The quiet and safe environment.
Cons: Closeness to the beach and family friendly.
Pros: Proximity to beach, friendly staff
Cons: No paper towels, bathroom dated
Pros: Price was great. Room was the basics, but super clean and comfortable.
Cons: No place to sit comfortably. No place to put clean clothes in bathroom.
Pros: Location 2 blocks from the beach
Pros: Good location, about a .4 mile walk to the ocean, (3 blocks). They charge for extra guests
Cons: The coffee was old

Pros: Staff was good, updated rooms
Cons: Rooms not being cleaned, towels and those types of things
Pros: Not a thing.
Cons: Everything! It was filthy, bugs, trash everywhere, too much to list .... If I could give it negative stars I would!
Pros: Breakfast was minimal but OK
Cons: The blond female desk clerk on the evening shift was not helpful. I am 81 years of age. I had ordered in the first night and had food left over in the refrigerator. I politely inquired as to whether or not she had a paper plate that I could use to heat my food ( The aluminum foil container from Pizza Hut cannot be placed into a microwave). She answered "NO!". The next morning the very kind and elderly daytime clerk named Carol asked if I would like to have a waffle for breakfast. When I answered with a yes, she opened a cabinet door and there was a stack of paper plates! In other words, the night time clerk chose to lie and chose to NOT help a little old lady who had traveled across the country to see her only living sibling!!. Please get this person out of the office and do not have her as a representative of 'Econo-Lodge'. Thank you. Rosalie K. Allely
Pros: Located in Morehead City.
Cons: The room was not clean. The door was open when we arrived and there were flies buzzing about. There were no hand towels or wash cloths. The shower was gross.
Pros: The staff was the best part of my stay there. They were friendly and in general helpful.
Cons: The AC in the room I was assigned did not function (I set it to 61 and my room was at 80). It backed against a utility room that had a compressor that would turn in at random times, keeping me awake all night. The room was outdated, broken bathtub, rusted fridge, peeling mirror, disgusting desk chair, etc. Towels and sheets appeared clean but the pillow under the pillow case was yellow and so gross. I will not go back there.
Pros: They were able to switch my room to a cleaner one
Cons: Bugs were in the room and no telephone
Cons: Nasty and bugs
Pros: Free breakfast. Good water pressure
Cons: The floor was filthy, it turned my daughters feet black. There were only two pillows per bed. The thin blankets had holes. Our room wasn’t cleaned. The sink faucet wouldn’t turn so only hot water came out. There weren’t enough towels. There was a bar of soap left in the shower from the previous guest.
Pros: The lady who checked me in was very nice. Had to wait to get in room because maid was cleaning but she said she make it extra clean for me she was very sweet.
Cons: I saw breakfast was 5to9 so I went down at 5 tuesday. No breakfast..noone at desk. I went back to room waited til 530 went back nothing again. I went back to room called front desk couple times some girl answered you could tell I woke her I asked what time breakfast start she said what time is it? And hung up before I could answer. I waited 30 more mins and she was half done making stuff when I came back. Dissappointing. Ice maker never worked once whole time we werw there. We kept going to buy ice for drinks it was so hot we carried cooler everywhere. And I would have loved a pool for the kids
Cons: this was the most nasty hotel I have ever been in. I am 74 years old and for 55 years I traveled the US with my work. I have been in all types of hotels this one was the worst !
Cons: It was a smoking room. It never said that on the reservation
Pros: The location was very convenient.
Cons: Our room had several cockroaches and other insects. The breakfast was very limited and crowded. Overall the room was very dated and needed much improvement. The ice machine only produced enough ice for about two glasses -on both mornings of our stay. Several locals flinched when we told them where we were staying. They said we were definitely on the bottom end of the lodging ladder!
When you stay at Sandpiper Motel in Atlantic Beach, you'll be by the ocean, within a 5-minute drive of Anchorage Marina and Hoop Pole Creek Nature Trail. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Very very clean
Cons: Room was a bit Small
Pros: I love the location.
Cons: There was only 1 key, so it was hard to go different places between me and my husband.
Pros: Bed was ok
Cons: It was very dated.
Pros: The bed was very uncomfortable. The place is very out dated not even ice machines
Cons: The bed , no ice machine no counter space in bathrooms . The towel rack was on opposite side of bathroom from sink . The place is very outdated
Pros: It is a budget hotel but it is much nicer than the budget places that I usually stay at. It has all of the basics that I need, it feels safe, it is a short walk to the beach from the hotel, and the staff are very reasonable people. I enjoyed my stay here.
Pros: The comfort of the bed, it didn't have head boards so it wasn't very appealing.
Cons: The electricity went out at least 3rd, the 3rd time no one came to fix it. It wasn't worth $169.
Cons: I didn't see a ice machine and found alive and dead roaches in the room.
Cons: Small bathroom
Pros: Location Reasonably clean
Cons: No working smoke alarm No inside motel locking chain or bar Door was badly damaged- you could see where someone had pushed or smashed the door open Definitely safety was a great concern. I would never brought my wife here
When you stay at Oak Grove Motel in Salter Path, you'll be near the beach and 8 minutes by car from North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Good location for the price. More secluded area of the beach, which was very nice.
Cons: The air conditioning didn't work well, and we had to supply utensils and plates, etc for the kitchenette. Luckily, there was a Dollar General across the street.
Cons: Bugs in room, dirty furniture, bathroom facilities, parking facilities, staff - overcharged after we left! Heard neighbors fighting all night
Pros: there was no breakfast. Location good.
Cons: No hanger space provided for clothing. No table or chairs. No mirror in bedroom.
Pros: Close to the beach
Cons: Loud drunk neighbors smoking weed. Parking area not big enough. Roaches, moldy windows, too many things bad about this property. Would never stay here again.
Pros: Motel is small and quiet. A refreshing change from the chain motels. Motel has private access to the beach which is very convenient. Motel is centrally located to shopping and food.
Cons: The bed and pillows could have been a bit more comfortable.
Pros: Location, location and super friendly helpful property managers
Cons: Absolutely nothing...it’s a great place.
Pros: Relaxed staff and atmosphere. Was perfect little spot for us. Easy access to the beach, pretty clean rooms.
Cons: Coffee pot was never cleaned and was super nasty. Otherwise, it was perfect.
Cons: No ice machine. Dingy washcloth. Roach in room. Bed sank in middle.
Pros: It was near the beach.
Cons: Light fixtures uncovered, wires hanging under TV, no cable unless customer messed with wires, no WiFi although it was promised, was still under rebuilding after hurricane and should have been priced a LOT less.
Pros: The whole place in general was amazing
Pros: Nothing. I'll never ever go back.
Cons: ROACHES (I took pics), water damaged walls, door trim broken from being kicked in, chipped wall paint, rusty light fixtures, boarded windows, terrible grounds. Claimed they were rebuilding from Hurricane but NO work was done the entire time we were there)
Pros: Close to beach with nice privste board walk.
Cons: There were roaches! The staff was working hard to make repairs and improvements after the last storm and eventually they'll get it up to speed.
