Pros: John and Anna were friendly and welcoming. Their garden was very nice and full of lovely flowers. The room was a good size. The breakfast had a good variety of food available.
Cons: The local town had few bars open during the week. Many of them only opened at the weekend. It could do with a decent sized general restaurant as we had to travel about 10 km to Port Laoise to The Bog Road which was very good.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: I am a golfer and it is the perfect location to base yourself for golf in the area. Mary is a wonderful host. The standard of provision and cleanliness in the home is beyond reproach. Bedroom with the velux windows is wonderful.

Cons: Nothing to report had a wonderful stay.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Mary and Magaret were super host Super stay
8.0 Excellent
Pros: High quality, very clean with nice bathroom, towels and bed linens.
Cons: I didn’t realize that there was no breakfast, and nowhere convenient to get breakfast, when I booked it. Typically in Ireland breakfast is included and makes for a more seamless start to the day. I would not have stayed here if I realized that ahead of time. This was my oversight but payment is required up front so no opportunity to change after the fact. It should be more clear that breakfast is not included so others do not make the same assumption.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Mary greeted us at the door and showed us around. The room was big with an en-suite bathroom and a big wardrobe. Coffee, tea and biscuits were left in the room in case we were a bit peckish which made it so sweet. Everything was clean and tidy. Shower was amazing and the bed super comfy. When we were checking out this morning Mary again met us downstairs and asked about the weeding we attended. Overall it’s a 10/10 place to stay and you will not be disappointed. Thanks for everything Mary I’m sure we’ll be back soon!
Cons: N/A

Pros: This is a totally charming and captivating place to stay! It combines the warmth and friendliness of being in the heart of a family home with sublime fare, incredible grounds, a host of interesting creatures and delightful finds around every corner. We had one of the best meals of our entire 3 week road trip around England, Wales and Ireland here - with a bit of fun thrown in when the chefs turned musicians and played for us at supper! Thank you Hannah and Paddy - you have some magic going on in that beautiful spot! We could have spent 3 days just in your library!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The candlelit homecooked breakfast made to make you feel relaxed, welcomed and get you ready for your busy day.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The bed was comfortable. The sink taps were easy to grip and turn - I hate those "modern" grooved taps which you cannot turn off with soapy fingers. Some of the best designs of the past have been irrevocably destroyed by so-called "modernism".
Cons: The room door locks were slightly awkward to get the key into.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was an award winning breakfast. Everything was home made, locally sourced and beyond excellent. The house was beautifully decorated and first class. Our room was a gorgeous sea green. This is the best B&B we've staying in for a long time. The staff was also great and helpful. Cute town.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely smashing! I was surprised because I booked a shared bathroom, and then only had to share it with one other room- which meant no stress or rush at any time. Super clean bathroom as well, generally everything super clean, comfy bed, super friendly host and the breakfast was absolutely smashing! Fresh berries instead of canned fruit, millions of choices and even home baked bread. I really cannot recommend any higher. Plus the price was absolutely amazing. Traveling for work I also loved the friendly but super quick check- in and check out, the light in the room which gave me the chance to work until late plus the perfect curtains to have a good nights sleep darkness.
Cons: Really nothing to moan about.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: All was brilliant with hotel room, staff, bar and room service food. Room was especially quiet despite a wedding and conferences going on. Ambience with lovely comfo couches on each landing for general use which was nice touch.
Cons: Staff at spa which is not owned by staff were lovely and very efficient. The spa was smaller, the decor was not very nice, reception area had extension cords were visible looked like they just moved in. Jacuzzi had sign, no children allowed in it but a dad was sitting it it for ages with 2 very young children usjng it as a baby pool, had to wait until he left to get into it. Also its used by general public not exclusive to hotel guests. Bathing mandatory so i bought 1 but then people in pool with no hats on.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Bed very comfy Staff really nice Lovely bar, wedding room and Decor Lovely food such a pity about bedroom
Cons: Serious smell of stale smoke in the room got it when we first arrived. It we just dropped bags and went out. When trying to sleep last night it was so bad really annoying but it was late and I knew we couldn’t have moved rooms. It is a non smoking room but someone didn’t listen. Bathroom needs a like work on grout etc and find a few hairs in the bathroom. Paid a lot for the room and it didn’t include breakfast so would have assumed the room would have been 100% and was disappointed.

Locker room ya needed a lock .. maybe supply one as who just carrys a lock around?? After checking in sitting waiting for key. Receptionist just came over gave key. I asked cud she book Kelly's for food for us she said yes.. when we went over nothing was booked. She did not direct us to the rooms or breakfast times ect. The room was roasting and only duvet on beds to top flat sheet how could just sleep in that. Bathroom outdated.. shower pressure dreadful and bath way too slippy.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Everything else was first class. Nice food and dining area.

Cons: Nothing !!
4.0 Okay
Cons: Well we were seated for breakfast 10 minutes after waiting in line. When seated we were told somebody would be over shortly to take our order, almost 30 minutes later we had to flag down a member of staff to ask to order as nobody came near us to ask if we wanted tea or coffee even! And the only excuse we were given was we were short staffed which I don’t see is a applicable excuse as I myself work in a high class hotel! Being honest it ruined our experience completely as it ended on a bad note

Cons: The two private rooms share a bathroom but they're on different floors, guess there's not too much they can do about that? It's a listed building I think. Would've been nice to have an icebox or freezer for cool blocks but that's a tiny thing really.

Cons: The kitchen although modern in appearance was dirty, with layers of grease on every surface.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice building. Got kitchen facilities.Lots of space
Cons: Nothing
7.5 Good
Pros: The spirit of the past is always present in this sympathetically renovated former 19th century chapel, but nowadays the building is full of the laughter and conviviality of the hostel guests, not the stern words of a preacher! If you're lucky, you may even catch sight of a ghost!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Paul - our host - was incredibly nice showing us around the facilities when we arrived. The room with private bathroom we booked was great with plenty of space and a great en-suite wetroom. Having been to Mountmellick to visit family everything was right on our doorstep with the hostel being right in the middle of the high street.
