The valet that greeted us was stellar, positive and patient. Discarded at Lobby Desk! I was amazed! The valet was the best supportive person to assist us. He welcomed us and took all or bags right on to a cart. I walked to the lobby to check it. They said you do not exist in our data base. Good bye. I was like excuse me? Anyway after this they pointed down the hall and told me to look up my reservation on my own. My cell phone had died in the long drive, so I walked down the hall expecting a bank of computers for guest? No I was sent to a gaming room and told to pay 5 dollars to use the computer!!!!! I then looked up my reservation number and proceeded back to the lobby. (THERE WERE NO OTHER CUSTOMERS AT THIS TIME) The same clerk took my reservation number and walked away. No explanation, No apology, No Service. I then asked for a manager. After 15 minutes they returned and said your booking date is incorrect, we cannot provide you with this rate tonight, 220 buck is all we have. I was blown away. The manager and the clerk were unfriendly, no supportive and obviously did not want to deal with us or any customers. They obviously do not desire kayak.com customers and they did not desire my business. We as a family will never return to Twin Arrows Casino. The advertising also stated non-smoking this is not the case, the only casino area they had was all electronic slots and all smoking and very dirty.
The service was good and the room was comfortable. The wifi and the tv did not work. Traveling with small children, this was not acceptable.
The hotel is still new and clean after being opened for over two years. Rooms are large and comfortable and nicely decorated. The staff, view, and comfort.
Clean Quiet location
Very few have Pai Gow a card game we love, friendly dealers and not smokey. Wonderful rooms for those who just want to relax. Our tv reception was on and off.
Very beautiful hotel rooms. Bathrooms in room were wonderful. Casino is too smokey wish there was a non smoking section and the public restrooms were extremely dirty
Love the accommodations. the room and bathroom facilities are beyond comfortable.. Have stayed at the casino several times. rooms are gorgeous. but, this time there was a pulsating "noise" that kept us from sleeping. probably the location of the room
The property is new...or new enough that makes no difference. The rooms are aesthetically appealing and clean. The bed was unbelievably uncomfortable. Traveling frequently, the bed rates among the worst I've ever experienced. I attribute my absolute inability to sleep to the quality of the mattress. The staff did not show any courtesy or interest at any point during our stay. During check-in, the associate had a laundry list of policies and rules that he rattled off in a monotone voice at lightning speed as if he were giving the terms and conditions at the end of a radio advertisement. He stopped halfway through when a maintenance employee interrupted him. The desk associate then proceeded to have a separate conversation with the maintenance person for several minutes, before continuing his speech without apology or inflection, as if nothing had distracted him in the first place.
Location was a bit off.
Rooms have always been very comfortable; layout of casino floor is excellent, plenty of space to move around in, and plenty of machines available to play!
Room was clean and well kept. Quiet.
I like the fact that there was a handful of food merchants on the grounds. The smoke that I inhaled each time I walked into the Lobby. As a non-smoker I do not want to breathe in the stench/toxins unless I choose to go into the Casino.
Great for the family, spacious and clean.
Fast Internet A little outdated, but they are remodeling.
Loved my view into the woods; it was quiet & the room was larger than normal and comfortable. Staff is nice. We have stayed over the years and enjoy the hotel & less busy location. I wish I could have used the jacuzzi but it was always full of people. I know the hotel can't control but maybe extend the hours a little when you are so full? I don't get the sense much recycling, or green efforts are being made? I like to see the message about towel re-use & hope my sheets were not washed since that would be wasteful. I really appreciate & choose hotels, when I can, that are GREEN. check out the soap progarm, it makes sense. https://cleantheworld.org/
The staff were very good, helpful & professional. The rooms are quiet, large, and very clean. Very nice pool, there's a nature trail out back (walking or running) , good restaurant. Nothing to complain about here.
Extremely clean. Huge grounds with hiking trails on the property. Kids playground. Large pool and spa. Great Resturant. Cocktail lounge. 250 rooms. Manicured grounds, grass looked like a putting green! Lots, again lots of trees. Great staff. It's a little dated. Pricy.
We loved the clean large room and view of the trees. The room was quiet which made for a good night's sleep. Easy access to freeway, restaurants and tourist attractions.
Nature trail on site Furnishings were good, style was a little "period"
Room was spacious and clean. Many amenities, onsite restaurant was nice. Attached gas station. Close to many things like NAU, downtown and other places. None
The rooms at this property have not been updated in years. Should have stayed at a Hampton Inn for less money and a free breakfast.
This is only the second time we've been to Flagstaff, AZ, but we stumbled across this place last year & knew we had to go back. This is a very charming hotel with an old school feel. The rooms are large, suite type rooms & the bathrooms are absolutely wonderful. The beds are very, very comfortable. The surroundings (hiking trail and all) are great! If you've got energy to burn, the trail behind the hotel is wonderful. There is construction going on right now, but it's not really a big deal as it only really affects the front lobby.
Love the view of the pines and being able to take a short hike right near the hotel. The staff was excellent and friendly. The rooms are large and give you plenty of space to relax. My bed wasn't as comfortable as it could be. Maybe needed a new mattress. The decor is getting a little dated. They were prepping for repairs, so there were tarps in some of the areas, but the staff alerted me to this. It wasn't noisy while I was there (due to repair work), but would have been a good time to offer reduced room rates. The dining area was also being renovated--which I was unaware of when I booked. The new dining room will be beautiful.
Despite undergoing construction there in March 2016, we had a very nice stay. Construction really wasn't an issue. Best part of the stay is that we felt the hotel was very clean. Most hotels especially ones without a big brand name leave you feeling dirty, but that was definitely not the case here. Rooms were very spacious. The older couple also traveling with us absolutely loved the decor of the rooms. Our room was pretty feminine, but most hotels are more masculine so it's about time my wife had something up her alley. Pool looked very nice although we didn't swim. Nice they have a playground for kids too Parking lot is a bit funky how it's laid out, but that isn't really a negative. And hallways, at least in our building, look a bit aged.
Location of hotel was excellent and value couldn't be beaten. Nice, comfortable, and quiet stay. Nothing
I thought the hotel was great. Centrally located and clean. The continental breakfast was good too! My son leved the waffles!!!
The bed was very uncomfortable, I am sure the mattress is pretty old and pillows should also be replace. Thank You
This hotel is currently practicing consumer fraud, basically...website advertises "free breakfast", and next morning guests find out that they are "under renovation" and no breakfast available, and no local restaurant voucher provided to compensate..."BUYER BEWARE"...not as advertised or contracted for...had we known that "breakfast" was a lie, would have stayed elsewhere (as we will do next time in Flagstaff)...enough said
Continental breakfast had a variety of choices, location was ideal and close distance to variety of stores / restaurants.
Nice rate $50 lower than competitors. The WiFi was almost non existent. If you are planning on doing business, find somewhere else. Breakfast not so great.
Location and free breakfast. This place has the most uncomfortable beds I have ever tried to sleep on in my life. Plus the rooms are surprisingly small for what you pay per night. Not worth it.
Everything No meat at breakfast
The grounds of Amara are beautiful. Red rocks serve as a backdrop to the pool/hot tub and common area. I liked that it was a small hotel and not too crowded. They have a wine hour every evening which was fun (but the trade off is no breakfast in the morning). The rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. The young guy with glasses at the front desk made a big deal of announcing we booked our room through a "third party" on arrival (through Kayak's Getaroom). Not sure exactly why he made such a big deal of that fact, but let it go. When we got to our room we saw that it had two double beds instead of a king size bed like we had reserved. I went back to the young guy at the front desk to ask for the correct room and he said it wasn't the hotels fault and that I would need to take it up with Getaroom (once again making a bid deal of booking through a 3rd party). His customer service skills were very weak and he would benefit from additional training on making guests feel welcome and comforting. FYI: The hotel allows pets and we heard dogs barking in the morning. Didn't bother us too much since we were early risers due to jet lag, but if you're looking to sleep in you may want to find another location or specify you want to be far from rooms with pets.
Location was great and so was breakfast. Appears that some rooms have been updated to a degree. Ours wasn't one of them. Train noise bothered our kids. And if you want comfortable pillows that aren't lumpy, bring your own.
Great location. Near downtown and half mile from NAU. Bottom floor is loud. Upstairs squeaks and rooms are dated. Mattress too soft for my taste. However, considering we were hardly there, it was a good value for what we paid. I might stay there again.
Price was acceptable Location convenient on Route 66 No house phone in room Walls too thin - could clearly hear noises from neighboring room Cleaning staff made up once during 4 day stay. For some reason, a do not disturb sign (not ours) was placed on our room door. Mentioned these issues to front office staff
The employees, from front desk to cleaning services were very nice. I also enjoyed how clean the rooms were and the size of the room, which was perfect for a couple people staying for just two nights.
For the price it works as a place to sleep for one night. The breakfast buffet was very nice. Our first room had a bad heater and the second room had a mediocre heater. A painted plywood countertop almost gave way when I leaned on it. Choose parking for an easy exit as someone will likely park in the middle of the road and keep people from leaving.
Clean room, friendly staff, great rate No complaints from our night
The bathroom and room had been updated. The location is about .5 mile from downtown bars so easy walking distance. Check in was extremely quick. Breakfast area was a large space. We stay frequently in Flagstaff and wanted to try a different hotel. I went into it with some concern with proximity to the RR tracks but thought we could drown it out with the AC unit. That plan partially worked as the AC would cycle off for about 60 secs about every 10 mins. Breakfast was just medicore, several outlets didn't work. In the end we likely won't go back.
Nothing This was the worst hotel experience I've ever had. It would impossible to enumerate all the problems. I will NEVER stay at this run down, dirty, dangerous joint again. I'd like to know the owners so I can avoid anything with which they are associated. They should be EMBARRASSED.
Comfortable beds, hot breakfast, clean room and pretty view of the trees in the morning. Smokers hanging out in front of room and muffled train noise that may have hindered sleep if I wasn't so exhausted.
Location Will not return or reccomend. Nore I am a road warroori
I love the hotel but the only thing is missing is electric plugs next to the bedside
Adrion at the breakfast buffet has exceptional customer service skills. Very attentive and kind. The outdoor heated pool was very NICE. The shower/room remodel was well done. Breakfast could have been better and included more items but still was reasonable.
Spectacular venue and uniquely situated. Property is run down. Massive investment needed. Rooms: had a junior suite and found it fine. Curtains were a thin sheer fabric that was dirty. Shower head didn't function properly so shower wasn't relaxing. Furniture outdated. Porch dirty and unkempt. Spa: Shocking that the spa is so highly rated - locker room lockers didn't work, showers grungy, dirty towels everywhere as attendant never there, the masseuse was 15 min late for one of my treatments. You get it.
Location was amazing. Boynton Canyon was gorgeous and there were a lot of activities to participate on the properties. Facilities were top-notch. Had multiple issues with the staff. Service at View180 and Che-Ah-Chi was pretty slow. Had to ask on multiple occasions for drink refills or to get a check. They ran out of towels at the pool and weren't able to send anyone down in the few hours we were there to put out new ones.
Room staff environment beauty spa overall wonderful Very hard to find parking if you bring a car. $5 for a cup of coffee confusing to get around
The location is great, especially being able to walk to Elote for dinner. Beds were very uncomfortable, and although I applaud the management for wanting to have eco-friendly rooms, it wasn't worth rough towels, crummy toiletries, and toilet paper that seemed as if it had been beamed in from Soviet-era Russia.
First of all, Andy from the front desk was super accommodating, friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. She did a wonderful job making us feel welcome and helped us get the most out of our stay. The hotel provides awesome cruisers which I now know (after many years of visiting by car and foot) is the best way to get around the uptown/oak creek area of Sedona. The bed was super comfortable and the only thing that made me get up out of bed was the idea of the bike ride! The restaurant on the property had excellent margaritas, corn hole game, and the hotel property has a cozy fire pit and ample seating. They even offered late checkout which was wonderful! I will return! It's a little strange some of the balconies are shared but I will ask for a room without a shared balcony next time. Also the table had some dried coffee on it and there was a bunch of construction, the hot tub was not working but I didn't know there was another hot tub on the other side of the property :/
When we checked in the staff was courteous and friendly, they accommodated us to a better room just by asking! Also, getting free appetizers during our stay was a plus! I wish I would have known about the expansion project going on but it didn't really affect our stay. I'd like to go back and see the finished section.
We went to Red's two times and once a friend in the group was told there was a 5 drink minimum and he was cut off. He wasn't even driving and he was still told this. We went to get coffee the morning we checked out which was about 10:50am. We got coffee and sat down and a lady named Rose came over and took away the coffee. We asked why she was taking it down (because it was 10 til 11 and we were told there was coffee until 11). She rudely said "Well, its been here since 7am". We got up and walked out. I'm sure they were upset because we weren't eating breakfast there we were just getting coffee that was part of the $22 per day resort fee. If the staff at Red's is going to get upset when customers get the coffee and nothing else, you should move the coffee into the lobby. Not impressed and we wont be going back.
The location, staff, room were top notch. Everyone had an attitude of caring that the guests had a great experience. We paid extra for a premium room, but had a view of the roof top air conditioning and heating units. Guests of the rooftop observation area next to these units, in turn, had a view of our room. No view of any red rocks from our room. Also, there are no icemakers and you have to go to the restaurant when it is open for ice. May be uncomfortable if you find yourself underdressed to go to the restaurant.
Location Spa Services Beautiful room
The view from the third floor rooms were great for the Red Rock. It was a solid 3 star hotel, but fading. Dingy and hesitant to provide service. Rooms were not cleaned unless you forced a request, bar staff was unskilled, and the Spa services (massage good, meditation weak). Towels and robes looked over worn, and service was slow. Seems like it needs an update and new management.
Staff, amenities , and little things like bottles water
Great location across from golf course. Very minimal train noise. Check in was a breeze. Staff was helpful. Check in is at 4PM. Staff was willing to check us in earlier when a clean room became available. Breakfast was average. Beds comfy with extra in room sheets & pillow. Big size studio room w/full kitchen a plus. Moderately thin walls-could hear college party next door well into the night. Air filter could've been changed sooner and/or checked more often. Twin sized pullout bed was not comfortable at all. Minor issues but will definitely be back.
Rooms were just updated, staff was professional. Bedding was very comfortable and HDTV's in all three living areas. Breakfast included. Decor is very plain, basic. Bathroom was small with very low ceilings. Bathroom light not flush mounted, easily hit while drying. Hot water only luke warm in shower. Vanity area outside bathroom, part of bedroom area.
Nice modern design Our 14 yr old son didn't get a good night sleep on the pull out bed.
We love that we felt like we had our own little apartment. We were pleasantly Surprised to find a very contemporary suite with every ammenity you could want.
Was very surprised by the room and how comfortable the bed was for the price! Was driving cross country and after a long day that bed was just what I needed.
Everything was wonderful! The room was devine, all staff was kind and wonderful, breakfast was delicious and the grounds were gorgeous!
The rooms were very clean and had all the basic amenities. The check-in was smooth and the staff were nice. Had some options to order food for delivery and the lady at the check-in desk gave us some nice options for restaurants. The pool and the hot-tub along with a nice breakfast in the morning were definitely a plus! I would stay again if I visit Flagstaff.
Great value for the money. Clean, comfortable and spacious. Would absolutely stay here again. Property is under construction which limits access to some of the amenities.
I was not happy with the pillows. They were small and not comfortable. The TV made a crackly noise and almost every channel.
Foam pillows Pool and hot tub were way over clorinated.
Location Old property that needs a lot of work.
The views, hot tub, pool, exercise room, guestvroom with fire pits and outdoor space
Gorgeous view from our terrace. Great staff. No elevator, the pillows.
Great location, very nice hotel facilities and resort services Quality of bath towels poor, similar to ones that are used at a fitness club (thin, smells like bleach and washed over and over again type of towels). Shower water pressure weak.
Was surprised to find this placed doubled as a kennel.....the barking and howling of the dogs was a big nuisance. It was handled after 3 calls to the front desk...was not told of this when we checked in...
Great location and staff. Rooms were great Complicated to get on Internet and the Internet service was unreliable and when it did work was slow
Staff, amenities, spa, and view were all five stars. Hilton Bell Rock definitely will get my business again. I wished I could have stayed longer ;)
The staff and concierge were very helpful. Concierge booked a wine tour for us on Saturday. We stayed in a suite poolside, and enjoyed the view and sound of water flowing. The two free drink coupons on arrival was a great gesture. The bartender struggled with the pace of handling customers, failing to acknowledge new guests on arrival or making eye contact and a simple "I will be right with you". Timeliness and order, such as maybe offering a food or appetizer menu. We asked for a menu after 30 minutes of sitting down, at the bar. We actually made light of our situation along with other customers, saying they're definitely on a "Sedona" pace. We didn't come to Sedona to hurry, however, we were hungry and there are some expectations of The Hilton having higher standards of customer service. Very nice people, again, but way too slow. We also watched multiple people, new guests stand and wait 10 minutes without being addressed. I greeted guests myself, along with my boyfriend. The restaurant was fairly steady, due to rain, however, definitely not busy.
So many things if this hotel is a 2 or 3 stars. When we arrived to checking in, no Welcome, just "last name on the reservation"... rude... The second day, our room was not clean. Their answer was "room are clean every two days"... So they sent a cleaning lady...We asked why we have a cheap room for disable people, not convenient for people who are not disable, they said "you reserved from a Third party", like those website company, so they treat us like a Third class people with disdain
After 7 AM no complimentary coffee. $14 for a roll, donut, coffee, cold cereal, some canned mixed fruit, or a green banana. Come On! Comfort Inn's give you a better breakfast than that for free! It's no wonder no one was eating breakfast in the restaurant. Even the staff shrugged their shoulders and shook their heads. They suggested a great little place for breakfast just a short walk away.
The lobby was nice. All staff was very friendly and accommodating. Good, free breakfast. Rooms are very old and in need of repairs and remodeling. Facility is right next to a major freeway, so it was very noisy.
Very clean and accommodating staff. Best free breakfast of the trip. Had to stand in 2" of water in shower due to faulty drain. Reported to staff at checkout and they stated they would get it fixed right away.
Good staff, Location Some rooms are isolated which make us feel little in secure.
I am glad I was only there one night. Would not recommend traveling as a sigle female with kids to this hotel. They did not have my reservation and the doors were accessible from outside.
Very clean and well maintained. The price was right. Staff were courteous and friendly. Didn't get the King room I booked online. 2 Queens instead which was not what we wanted. Exit to outdoors instead of a hallway. The heating/cooling unit was noisier than usual. The water faucet for the bath/shower was tricky to use.
Staff was extremely helpful including baggage handling. No complaints
Great value for the money when you consider the cost of other hotels in the area The bathrooms could use some "sprucing up".
The location was fantastic! So much to see and do around Flagstaff. The room was clean and there was not much noise from other patrons. Comfortable beds.
Breakfast Shower was hard to set, no HBO, room was not in good shape, front desk person was rude, they said they had a hot tub when we booked, but they didn't say it was closed for the season. Refused to give a discount.
Staff were great! Good rooms, very comfortable beds
The bed was comfortable & linens clean. Breakfast was very good - dining area was clean. Pet area was provided. The separate sink area was ok, but separate shower/toilet in need of regrouting & paint. Room was on Highway side of building - truck traffic is naturally noisy. Pet area was very small - fence would be nice.
We were able to get a room where we could keep an eye on our moving truck. We were also able to walk across the street to a restaurant for dinner and then when we woke up we walk up the street to breakfast. Staff was nice, room was clean and location is great for travelers. I had to get my room key reactivated after the first try. Once I got in line there was another person who needed the same thing.
Flagstaff is a great town.. Hotel is right near everything. Big Rooms with Flat Screen TVs and great indoor Hot Tub. Excellent value for the price, I very much enjoyed my stay. Staff forgot to clean out the bathroom before we got there but I called down to the front desk and they got it resolved quickly
Cheap room & located close to the freeway. Facilities were very run down. I would not take my family there.
It is not worth the money! The bed was so uncomfortable. Noisy neighbors we couldn't wait to leave!
The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The free breakfast came in handy, and the kids loved the waffles. The hotel is pet friendly and allowed all sizes of pets. There was a dog that kept us up with it's barking. And another dog that jumped on my daughter when we entered the elevator.
Free breakfast and dinner Free wifi
Room size and comfort Barking dogs.
Of course the view was fantastic from both the back window and the porch. Locaston is everything. It was very clean and spacious, and felt like I was in my own home. I reserved on-line, and was not given the hotel number, but someone else's number. I had tried calling the number to no avail 4 or 5 times..just wanted to make sure someone would be there since we were arriving late.
