Coming home...
Pros: I came in town for the tri centennial celebration of Nacogdoches, Texas. Renee Watts is an excellent manager for Comfort Suites. Friendly staff, local people who know Texas hospitality done right. For example, one Saturday morning when I went to the coffee bar and tried to get some coffee out of a coffee dispenser it sputtered out coffee blowing air bubbles. From the kitchen the older woman spoke up and asked, "Which one is it? I can tell them like my grandchildren. Is it the Bold Coffee Decanter? Hold on. I'll get it." Sure 'nough here she comes with a new Bold Coffee Decanter and it worked like a charm. Simple things that mean the most...
Great place to stay.
Pros: Breakfast was unusually good and much more "presentable" and "clean" compared to other "free breakfasts" I have had in comparably priced hotels. Staff was unusually friendly and thoughtful. I will definitely stay here again, should the need arise.
Cons: Window A/C was a bit noisy, but I tend to ignore that kind of thing easily.
Nice hotel, good location, friendly staff
Pros: The premises are in very good condition and the personnel is very attentive, courteous and effective. Finding a hotel like this in Nacogdoches during our family vacation was a relief as I use the chain extensively for my work travel and was sure everything was going to be fine as it was. No over the top luxury, just good clean spacious rooms and good service. Parking lot well illuminated. Felt safe. We will likely return to this facility to explore the city and surroundings as it is well located.
Cons: Some noise bursts from some louder guests happens to filter through the door/walls, but this happens in any hotel with rooms sharing walls. To avoid this you would need a bungalow type facility. It's unfortunate some guests just are not considerate of others.
Exceeded Expectations
Pros: The rooms were nicely appointed and the property was clean. Breakfast was very good. The staff was very helpful.
Cons: The pool, though indoors, was not heated and there was no Hot tub.
