Best if one wants to experience living in a traditional japanese house.
The downside of living in a traditional japanese house is that one has to to be very cautious in moving especially during night time and after 23:00.
Staff is quite friendly.
Breakfast is expensive. Location is quite far. Bathroom is so small and toilet is only one unit. The tatami is too thin and my body felt discomfort for the 3 nights stay. The bathroom is at the back of the house and to be in and out the toilet can be very cold during winter time. Should allocate a pantry area for guests to heat up food (provide a microwave is best option) instead of keep requesting the staff's help to heat up the food. Not allowed to on the heater during sleep made our body so cold to sleep in comfort.
- The staff were friendly and helpful - Room was good, relatively comfy. - Bathroom facilities were good - the shower was in an outhouse but still good quality with hot water, good pressure and plenty of space. Location - out of Nagoya city but close to station and frequent services into the city.
Not a gripe about the hotel particularly, but more a warning and something to be aware of - it got rather cold during the night when I stayed in mid-January and the heater had to be off overnight. While in bed, this was fine was the covers and blankets were pretty much sufficient (although not entirely) to keep the cold out, however, going out to the shower in the early morning was not too pleasant!
Located at quiet and historic neighborhood Within 10mins walk to subway station and Aeon Mall
It is a traditional Japanese house, and therefore it has very poor soundproofing rooms. Light sleeper might need to bring earplugs.
I like the experience of staying in a traditional Japanese house with tatami.
They did not provide a service to leave your luggage before your check-in time and after check-out time which made my trip was a little bit uncomfortable. I only stayed there for one night, on my way to Kyoto from Tokyo, and I brought a big luggage.
