Easy access by car and good hotel parking Not as well located as indicated on website. Longer walk to town than anticipated.
comfy quiet room No service, no coffee or tea available until 7PM, no lunch, dinner only available as room service. No internet available. Unhelpful staff.
It was very clean
Easy to get into old town The address is not adequate, especially for GPS
Very clean and comfortable hotel. Excellent breakfast. A bit of a walk to the nearest bar & still further to town. No bar in hotel.
The hotel is very convinient. Not so far from from the historuc center. Nothing
Very helpful and efficient reception staff. Good facilities and clean, pleasant room. Secure parking if required. Only a 15 minute walk approx; to old city. This is the only hotel that I have ever stayed in that didn't have a bar to relax in.
Reception staff was extraordinary and allowed us to check in at 4 AM! Very friendly and helpful. Great value for the money.
Very comfortable hotel nice and quite.dinner was very good A distance from the old city.pool was dissapointing hours restricted.
The receptionists were fantastic, the bathrooms wonderfully clean and there was a pleasant feel to the place. Nice Spa too.
The hotel was in a great location. It was smack in the middle of Toledo's old town. It was about a 5 minute walk from all the shopping and restaurants. At night the streets of Toledo are full of young drunk British men and or unemployed. It can be a bit sketchy there at night and you definitely have to watch your back. All the tourists leave during the day.
good location Little of original structure left. Unimaginative design. Heating of room could not be lowered
very nice hotel , excellent staff the location of the hotel is very problematic while coming with a car , very difficult to reach the hotel
Nice staff at the reception desk. Very attractive Hotel with excellent Location and very reasonable room rate. A few small things that can be improved: 1) in a five star Hotel I expect at least two free bottles of water every day 2) no Kleenex box in the bathroom 3) staff was overwhelmed during busy breakfast hours. Breakfast items running out fast and being replaced only very, very slowly and after asking for them. 4) staff answering incoming calls did not make any effort to locate us in the breakfast room when an international call came in for us. As I said, nothing important, but should be improved.
Within short walking distance of the Cathedral, old synagogues and other sights. Comfortable rooms; well designed hotel. Good value. Excellent local cuisine in restaurant; fairly expensive menu. When driving, hotel was very, very hard to find in oldest part of Toledo (took us 1-1/2 hrs.), with steep hills, one-way streets; people on the streets didn't know of the hotel, or didn't know where it is; or didn't know how to get there by car. GPS had nervous breakfdown. Parking in the nearby garage was expensive (17 euros/night). This was the only Spanish hotel of eight we stayed in that didn't have a computer for use of guests. They advertise a spa, but only a very small exercise room is available free to guests; you can pay for a massage or sauna.
Parking garage adjacent. Excellent beds. Quiet close-in location. Friendly, helpful staff. 5 star hotel at a good price. Park your car and walk, everything is close.
This was a very clean, classy hotel. The staff was more than helpful and it was very quiet. I liked that it was next door to a little market which allowed us to buy juice and bread in the mornings.
We loved this hotel. The welcome and service were warm and wonderful, hotel itself was classy but not stuffy, and everything was managed very nicely.
Excellent location, great staff, modern luxury. Room was smallish, but well decorated with nice bathroom. A gem in the middle of an incredible old city. Staff very attentive and lobby and main area very impressive. No iron, room was a bit small.
room not ready. pool not open. service slow
View of Toledo, from our room. We booked this hotel because they said they accepted dogs...well they do, but at check in you are told it is 35EUR per night for your dog. Guests with dogs are allocated certain ground floor rooms, ours had a small dog bed and food/water bowls. As dogs are forbidden in all communal zones, except for access to/from your room...and you are not allowed to leave your dog alone in your room...you are 'suggested' to use room service for meals/drinks. We did so for breakfast/dinner and didn't find the prices that bad...however, we would have been happier if the hotel explained the many restrictions that applied to dogs, at the time of booking. Security at the hotel also appeared very poor (i.e. non-existant)
The view and location is the best in Toledo and the room is quite spacious Don't quite know how some of these hotels get 5 stars (compared to 5 star chains like Four Seasons/Oriental it's a world away). Front desk staff were quite unhelpful and seemed to lack initiative, and in some cases seem completely unable to understand quite basic questions in English. Water pressure in shower is surprisingly poor. Although it has 24h room service it took over 1 hour to get food at night, so they seem not set up for this.
Room and catering good. Views superb. Much noise from family in adjoining room but staff changed our room. Noise from A/C, low drone all night even when switched off. Very thin walls so no sound insulation between rooms.
This was a nice clean hotel with lots of little perks. Huge beautiful bathroom.... nice view from the deck..... free WIFI..... just outside of town, we walked into the downtown quite easily. Free parking as well.
Superb location, excellent rooms, great views.we only stayed overnight but wil return whe we actually visit toledo again. The restaurant food should be better, our steaks were overcooked.
The view of the old town of Toledo is really beautiful.
It was quiet and the view was great. The crib and set up for my toddler was top quality. A clock/alarm was not provided. The floor was full of dust, grass, and dirt. The room did not include an area rug. As a result, could not remove shoes.
Staff was quite unhelpful. Breakfast was a mediocrity, almost ludicrous for a five-star hotel, with industrialized orange juice and a poor choice of cold cuts. Facilities seem quite dates, the last renovation probably took place some twenty years ago. Pricey and definitely not worth your dollar...
Very comfortable, stylish room. Friendly, professional staff. Could not fault the hotel.
Excellent parking facilities- Access to broadband facilities not possible without a wireless connect card- "wireless" facilities are however referred to in the site details
The location was terrific. I thought it was a little overpriced
very noisey all night long, both nights,
Hotel Carlos V is well situated for visiting most of the town, cathedral etc.It was an easy stroll to the Zocodover Plaza.Very attractive entrance area with comfortable settees! There was quite a lot of hammering and work noises but I expect that was only a temporary problem!
the location. we did not get the type of room we booked (got 3 single beds instead of a double) and were told that was the only room left for the night. the room was smelly "musty". the door did not shut in the bathroom. little to no natural light in the room. room was located on the ground floor in the very back need all the service & office area's. overall very, very disappointing and as it was a not refundable offer there was nothing we could do like change or cancel our booking.
The room was very hot. I would leave the window open to cool it but would find it closed when I would return. I did not complain to hotel.
location was great. the staff was rather rude.
absence of internet connections
The Carlos was smack in the middle of almost everything we knew we wanted to see, and extremely close to a bar, Ludena, which is elsewhere named as having the best tapas in Toledo, and based on our limited experience (two days) I'd have to agree. There was one waiter at dinner who was downright rude - I've only travelled to a handful of countries spanning the globe and this man was rudest of all foreign waiters I've met. He was evenly offset by an extremely nice older gentleman at the front desk, though, and generally nice staff everywhere: hence my "good" score. Please remember to tip the maid a little extra for us: she was quite good but we forgot to tip her and are very sorry for that.
clean hotel and non intrusive staff: clean rooms, the elevator worked
Beautiful hotel, very nice spacious room, friendly staff. Location not great to visit city centre, not much to do/see around hotel itself.
situation good would like ability to control room temperatures and change bed linen - duvet to blankets etc.
Super brand new hotel.Very clean.Nice room.Nice bkfst.Personnel at bkfst very kind. This hotel is a bit far from cental Toledo and too close from the Highway. With a nice terrace and couches you can't enjoy because of the noise.D'ont get a room with a river view they are also Highway view.Personnel at rception a bit amateurish. They don't even propose luggage service.
Room spacious, terrace restaurant location lovely. Reception staff pleasant and helpful. Food truly appalling. No hot water. Service very slow and inconsistent.
The very professional staff, the huge size of the rooms and the marvelous spa
excellent service from staff distance from city centre
beautiful hotel, with fantastic bathrooms, clean, luxurious overpriced internet connection, $18 Euros for the day, and a bit out of the way
Great customer service, beautiful hotel and views, after all everything was great. It is a little far from the tourist attractions and there is nothing around it and the pool was a little dirty but nothing big.
Nice property, big rooms, helpful staff Location - but the hotel makes up for it with its service and quality
Luxurious interiors, wide spaces, very good value for money. The dinner offer was very limited and the quality of food was poor. However, the breakfast was better.
very good location
we really enjoyed our stay at the hotle, the reception staff were very friendly and accomodating. Our room over looked the city and having a balcony was an added bonus. Location was excellent. We would definatly recommend this hotel.
Interesting hotel in a good area Smoking allowed in the adjoining bar
parking garage was close by located at the top of a major hill so walking could be a problem for some
Location of hotel next to the Alcazar was fantastic. View from balcony was superb. Hotel was, in my opinion, not of a four star standard. Hotel was adequate in all respects but room was "tired" and needed brought up to modern standards.
We had a corner room on the 2nd floor that gave us a great view of the plaza and a nearby street from our balconies. We especially enjoyed watching the people on the plaza going about their daily lives as well as the two demonstrations that took place during our stay. The hotel was conveniently located so we could walk to all of the attractions that interested us. The staff was friendly and helpful. They answered all our questions even though we speak no Spanish and they sometimes had to struggle to understand us. WiFi was a bit weak in the room. It was faster in the lobby.
The location was perfect in the downtown area The room was beautiful and spacious and very clean. Parking next-door was very easy, and was discounted from €20 to €14 for hotel guests. The front desk staff was very helpful in planning our tour through the city, as well as with any questions about our stay. The room was air-conditioned, although it was a struggle to keep the room cool. The temperature outside during our stay was 108°F,
Loved the old-world style and was particularly impressed with the dining area/restaurant in the cellar which had the feel of a mediaeval dungeon.
Great location and friendly staff. No WiFi internet and internet access not free. ALso beds are always twin rather than double in Spain !
Our room had a balcony and chairs with a view of the rooftops - great for a glass of wine. Beds were comfy and breakfast was plentiful. Room architecture felt medieval with the heavy wood doors and red accents, definitely fit Toledo! I would recommend this hotel. Nothing.
Location & kind staff the room was not equipped with a minibar
Beautiful setting; great panoramic view of Toledo. Room was lovely with balcony overlooking the city of Toledo. Pretty far removed from the city. Only three scheduled shuttles into the city each day--none of which had a return option. The breakfast at the hotel was fantastic; the dinner was expensive and not that tasty..perhaps we selected the wrong items.
The setting above the city was extraordinary. Our room was just as we had requested. Meals were excellent and service at dinner was attentive.
The view Restaurant was full
Comfortable room and beds, ample parking The hotel has an incorrect address on the promotional material. I use a GPS to find locations. The street address for this hotel does not exist at Toledo and so I had an exasperating experience trying to find this hotel. The hotel is outside the city of Toledo on a hill in adjacent town. The address that is given for this hotel is a good marketing exercise but is incorrect and will cause problems for other GPS users.
Hotel generally excellent with views over Toledo. Food is poor value for money. Dinner portions very very small. Would not stay again or would eat out!!
The view of the city of Toldedo from the Parador is unbelievable! The parador sits up on a hill above the city and the view at both sunset and sunrise is spectacular.
Fabulous view of Toledo with great services and availability of transportation to and from the downtown core.
Clean, modern facilities, restful place. Free parking. It was hard to find.
view, the wet grass outside the room. the smell of the room - lovely and clean, and good decor, lovely bathroom and great bath stuff! thank you. Very very poor information about Toledo... gave incorrect information on train times, poor map, nothing in english, did not promote night time activities in Toledo and staff on the desk were very abrupt and unfriendly. Did not make us feel welcome. Amazed that the hotel could not tell us about evening events - you should promote what is happening in the city!! it is tourism after all...!!!
View was great from the Parador with clean rooms overall Some staffs were very very rude. Which ruined our stay overall. The person working at the reception was rude and also at the breakfast cafeteria.
Very good place to stay some days. The extremely nice views from the hotel. The cost is quite expensive.
Clean, spacious room, very comfortable, helpful front desk.
One of the nicest Hotels we have been to Ambience, Great Bedroom and Bathroom. Excellent Breakfast service
The location was excellent, as were all members of staff who could´nt do enough for you great. Unfortunately the bar and restaurant were closed when we were there and this did prove inconvenient.
Great location, stylish rooms, polite personel , all english spoken. Unfortunately we had a room with no view at all. I suggest some rooms could have it and it was great
Was a tourist looking at various sites We arrived at 3pm - room not ready - asked to come back in an hour - we did - taken to our room which was still not cleaned. We were then moved to another room.
central situation, immaculate condition of building and room
centre of city a few weeks before we had a much bigger room (than 001) on the first floor for the same price. We would have expected a reduction for a smaller room.
The location was excellent for walking around the city. I wish the shop attached to the hotel had been open--but it might be just seasonal and we were there in late Nov. Everything was fine.
The location was excellent inside the walls and a short walk up to the Cathedral, Alcazar etc The wifi was only suitable for pc Internet connection. This seems minor but every other hotel on our visit has had wifi for Apple Ipad which only requires a password. This should be easy to update.
Position, nice room, private parking Staff not always kind
Nice decoration Problems with WiFI
Good location although hotel was a little difficult to find. One room was below street level with a grill-type window. Very claustrophobic.
Beautiful hotel with lovely rooms in a perfect town. If you arrive at the bus station the number twelve bus goes past the hotel - wish we'd known that! our basement room was rather smelly, though our daughters' room next door was fine. Ask for a room upstairs to avoid the problem!
The location of the hotel was excellent for a two-day visit to Toledo; the whole purpose of this portion of our trip. The staff was helpful enough when asked and the room comfortable and clean. The parking option offered by the hotel was very useful.
Very centrtal hotel with secure underground parking. hotel staff very helpful. excellent breakfast. No room service, so it would have been good to have tea making facilities in the room.
Price, staff, big bed. I requested a non smoking room, but was given a smoking room.
It was closed to most of the places we wanted to visit and the garage was very convinient next to the hotel. We could not reach the third floor were our room was by the elevator. the elevator only went to the second floor
Location No elevator to third floor so we had to pull our own luggage up one flight of steps. Overpriced breakfast.unfriendly front desk
We found very little to recommend it other than for business conferences It was too large and impersonal for our liking. The cafe/restaurant was noisy with staff cleaning and drying crockery within the customer area and very impersonal
Swimming pool, facilities, ... acoustic insulation between rooms breakfast not really at appropriate level
Just perfect for parents with small children. My oldest 5 year old got to play with the kids in the pool (some kind of "Miniclub) and they also had a childrens playground.
The hotel turned the room air conditioning 1am until approximately 5am. this made it unbearable to sleep. At no time did anyone explain that the A/C would be turned off. Also, the website described the hotel as being 2km from city centre, we believe this to be inaccurate.
Easy to find and park. V large. Picked it becasue it was listed as having a swimming pool but outide pool was closed and the only option was 55 Euro day pass at the spa. This was the only dissapointment.
the hotel was easy to find and very impresive lobby bar and dinning area rooms of a good size 5 mins to old city was drive time / use of spa only seemed possible if you bought minimum of 30 euros
difficult to follow city signs posted
Pool and pool bar, friendly staff.
The rooms, the view from room, the pool and garden The pool could not be used in the morning (as it was being serviced at 10 a.m.). It would be nice to have a shuttle bus to the City Center
we got this for 50 euros for one night.....bargain!
A delight - as a solo, ageing, female traveller - not to be stashed away in the equivalent of the doghouse, but to be given a room that was, in its own way, really quite special. Thank you, Hotel Santa Isabel.
The hotel is located in the very center of the town in a beautiful ancient building. Good price-quality relationship. Maybe the room was rather small, although it didn't affect our impression of the trip and of the hotel itself. The staff doesn't speak English at all.
The location The room walls were too thin and you can listen other people TV´s
excellent location - very near the cathedral - lovely terrace on the roof with fantastic view
Friendly well-appointed hotel near city centre Hard to get there by car
Location, value for money and roof terrace
Well located in the center of the old town. Has a parking facility for a reasonable price (10 euros) but be ready to drive in very small streets (you need to fold back the mirrors in several places). The parking is also quite small so you need to be very good at parking in small spaces between columns (easier with a very small car). THe view from the terrace on the roof is great. We were in a room in the older part of the hotel. The rooms in the newer section (from peeking in opened rooms during their cleaning) are much nicer.
It was located in the heart of town, clean as a whistle and very comfortable. No
Location, cleanliness, overall comfort Reception staff seemed indifferent (at best) -- didn't take any interest in greeting guests.
Superb location in the old town, interesting historic building that was thoughtfully modernised Excellent location meant that it was difficult to access by car and the garage was very tight and required careful manoeuvring - but helped by the staff.
This is a chic, modern hotel in a beautiful old building. It is right in the heart of the city, walking distance to all of the sights. The staff were very welcoming, friendly, and gave great recommendations for nearby tapas bars, restaurants, etc. There was a point when the hot water seemed to decrease. It didn't cause us too much trouble though, since it was so hot during our stay. The cool shower was refreshing. We loved this place, and will stay again.
The view from the room. The inadequate directions to the hotel.
All of the above -- and a great location. Also pretty well signed so quite easy to find.
Beautiful patio with view of the city for relaxing. Nice breakfast buffet. The internet service was very expensive and not available in the rooms. The swimming pool was not available but we did not know the months it was available beforehand.
The location of the hotel was absolutely perfect. the hotel itself is a beautiful building and the views over Toledo were breathtaking. --
Site, we had our own transport beautiful view of Toledo need a car
A pleasant well furnished modern hotel with a superb restaurant The location is in a beautiful setting but there are no immediate other facilities within walking distance.
Clean room, friendly staff, restaurant in hotel with good dinner choices. Nice view of the city of Toledo. Breakfast wasn't worth the price.
a really comfortable hotel on the outskirts of toledo,in a wonderful position with great views of toledo, very comfortable, good food, a car is needed to get the full benefit. nothing
Our arrival was 5 AM the front desk guy was great. The swimming pool is nice. We were asked to leave at 1 :30 PM. We were about to, but we did arrive at 5 AM. I would have given me a later check-out, say 3 PM.
We only stayed the one night, but we all thought that, were we to come back to the area (and it is well worth visiting again), this would be an excellent place to stay.
Lovely hotel, beautiful outlook over city, friendly staff. Free parking. Restaurant in the evening was good value, but not fantastic food - good but not fantastic........
The view The fact that they I broke my foot when tripping over a loose board outside their front door.
There was a wedding banquet just above our rooom and the noise was horrific!!!!!!! We called reception and they apologised and told us the wedding was coming to an end soon. I think staying on the 1st floor during such events is a no no and the hotel should at least, warn the guest. Also the room service/ restaurant was really expensive and I found the food to be very basic. Not worthwhile!
Very comfortable hotel with a very good in house restaurant
Hotel rooms were nicely appointed and the view from the private balcony was great. It can be quite noisy. We were able to hear neighbors and people in the hallway as if they were in the room.
Nice location, with good view of Toledo and within walking distance ot old town
The situation, the lounge and the bedrooms The hotel did not inform guests until it was too late that meal times had been altered for the New Year, which meant that most guests went without dinner.
Nice new hotel with lots of Spanish character. Quiet location out of the city and on very convenient bus route. Free parking. Breakfast was expensive if not included already in the price.
Ideal location for a city in Toledo. The city bound bus pass the front entrnce about every hour. Facilities good. The restaurant offers a menu suitable for European travellers. Bar srvice is limited but the free room mini bar facility is a suitable alternative.
Very nice views The hotel is a long way from the centre and sights of Toledo. It has limited facilities no bar or cafe open all day. Dinner menu was restrictive and breakfast was overpriced. No free WiFi throughout hotel but expensive voucher. Layout of hotel very noisy from floors above. On the whole overpriced and not a hotel to be recomended for the tourist to Toledo
Hotel was in a lovely location with a balcony overlooking Toledo. Staff were extremely helpful & spoke good English.
Location and the staff. Arnljótur Arnarson. We bought standard room with king size bed for 3 nights paying 90£ per night. Buying room in 4 star rated hotel you don´t expect to be put in a celler. In a room with small window faceing a wall. This room 114 should be priced down a lot. When we complain we were informed that the hotel was full, but we could try to talk to the staff the day after. In my opinion should the staff, if they care about their customer offer them to change roomms, and in my mind giving a discount, when they knew about our wish to change from this 114 celler room.
We received an upgrade upon check-in, so our room opened up onto a big veranda with chairs and tables. It was a great bonus. The beds were more comfortable than your standard European hotel and the views from the hotel were breathtaking. There is no free WiFi in the rooms, although there is WiFi in the lobby. Breakfast from the restaurant was very expensive ($15), and a lot of the services were closed since it's the off season.
Great location for walking to centre
Room was comfortable, although not too spacious. Staff were very helpful and welcoming. quite a way from the centre of town, but very quiet
the staff was gracious and helpful, the hotel and room spacious with a cool Spanish feeling. the buffet breakfast was fantastic! I have already recommended it to travelers I meet who are headed to Toledo.
Staff is friendly and location is good View from the room on floor -1 at backside of the hotel is unsightly
Staff and location Plumbing noise from pipes travelling through room
excellent lobby and also wonderful room , very good breakfast, too cold to eat in the breakfast room.
Hotel very comfortable and easy to drive to and find with parking available. As it is outside the old town, it is necessary to use taxi or bus as can be too far to walk in hot weather, although this is beter than staying in old town as driving and parking could be very difficult.
The room was very spacious as was the bathroom the location was good as you can get a bus and be in the cit centre in five minutesy
Good location, good value for money Needs refurbishing, clean but a little tired
Beautiful building, polite staff, good location. Nothing
comfortable room, pleasant staff was ready to help you in any cases breakfast was the poorest I've ever seen at a 3-star hotels
Great location; friendly staff and free parking on weekend. TV set in the room was too small. Cafeteria was usually occupied by smokers. Mediocre breakfast.
Excelent location just beside the old city walls, very nice and helpful desk staff, the hotel clean, cozy, nice atmosphere. Very good and cheap dinners.
the closeness to the centre of Toledo, all toiletries were provided, clean & comfortable, friendly staff finding it
Convience and location was good. The resturant noise was horrible. The noise lasted to midnight and we had a baby that needed sleep
Nice staff, good location and very clean
helpful staff, good location the decor (everything was very dark) the smell of cigarette smoke
The hotel was fairly close to the city. very good value for money. we easily found parking on the street (3 euros for 18 hours). Very good experience overall Breakfast was simple but then again it was included in the price of the room.
Simple clean hotel close to town centre The usual poor spanish breakfast. Not that easy to find by car.
Location to Toledo centre, train & coach links.
Around 15-20 mins from Toledo. A very good hidden gem. The restaurant is very nice.
Very, very nice!
tranquility poor signposting to hotel
All of the hotel staff and the hotel itself was excellent No only the direction about getting to the hotel which took some time to find
Hotel rooms spotlessly clean and furnished comfortably. Location superb. Reception staff spoke English. Staff could not have been nicer. Good dining experience. Good spa.
Although only dinner guests excellent service Very poor value breakfast - no choice - provided with toast and coffee for euros 6.50 per person
It stood out on the landscape with nothing for miles, a true oasis No
landscape awkward layout overall and in the rool
View from balcony was nice, but had to wonder of dust from the nearby quarries was good for our lungs. Decor in bathroom was attractive. Hotel had many spa services. No help with luggage. No carpet anywhere in hotel so very noisy. No double beds in entire hotel! Tacky room decor. The receptionist hung up on me when I inadvertantly asked in English if she spoke English. Had she not been so rude, she would have found I also speak Spanish. I can't recommend a hotel with that kind of front desk behavior.
Total Trranquility Food
The location is the best there is! Right within the northern wall of the city. Parking is free and easy access. The room is simple but clean. The building itself is historic.
Location and very quiet. Restaurant was very good Breakfst was poor and overpriced. Would have liked at least one tv channel in english
It is located in a good place to tour Toledo There were no Tea or Coffe facilities avaliable in the rooms which was a shame as most hotels now have this facility although the staff were able to get us coffee when requested it would have been better to have it avaliable in the rooms.
The ambience was excellent as was the restaurant. I also loved the lanscape and garden. nothing
The location was excellent right next to the city walls. The staff were extremely helpfull and the hotel was splendid. The restaurant coped very well with my requirements for glutton free food. The gardens make it a peaceful oasis within a busy city.
great old building and grounds. Easy to drive to. Restrauant food was great staff was indifferent
The hotel and grounds were wonderful, restaurant also worth eating at. Breakfast was not worth the money Staff were polite but reserved and not particularly helpful. We asked several questions about getting around Toledo and were given no help, when it was clear in retrospect that one or two pieces of information would have been easy for them to provide and they weren't interested in being helpful
Location, environment There are three flights of steps required to arrive in lobby from entrance. Staff did not offer to help with heavy suitcases in either going up or down.
Excellent location, very quiet. Old, old, old.
We loved everything from the location, architecture, to the history of this hotel. Top notch and beyond romantic. Having loved almost every facet the lack of air conditioning in 96 degree heat was brutal. There was an ac unit but barely worked and made sleeping next to impossible.
The setting of the room overlooking the old city was wonderful & romantic. Everything was clean and comfortable. The food and service was very good. The workers in the restaurnat and at the front desk were warm and freindly & helpfullI My wife & I would stay there again & and did look to stay at other Kris hotels along our trip
We were given a suite - due to being the only room left - and really enjoyed it. The bed was kingsized and comfortable, the bathroom appointments were very nice, and the jacuzzi bathtub was quite a pleasant surprise. I really appreciated the free internet. The hotel staff was knowledgeable and helpful. The restaurant/cafeteria was nice and the food good and moderately priced. The view is good, and the surroundings rural. The parking lot enjoyed adequate space and pleasant landscaping. The hotel address was not on Google, and required sharp eyes to catch the signs. An automobile is required (not necessarily a drawback).
Easy to find, very well sign-posted. The views were excellent
eating outside on terrace - food was great room did not have view as requested - some staff were cold
the position swimming pool
Lovely hotel overlooking Toledo. Although we were only staying one night we were given room with balcony and the view was amazing. The staff were extremely helpful. We hadn't intended going into Toledo but couldn't resist, so managed to fit into our itinerary. Well worth a visit - hotel and Toledo.
Very good restaurant, large rooms, music in the bathroom. Bathroom little out-of-date; far from the city center.
Very nice modern hotel. Big room with a amazing view on the old city. Great breakfast. You need a car to reach the city. We stayed in hotel during national holidays and many locals celebrated them in the hotel. So it was quite noisy but it is not the hotel fault.
Hidden costs in Restaurant
view from the terrace not all of the staff had good command of English
quiet, nice interior, nice design rooms small rooms, dark because of small window
The beautiful romantic settings
Very helpful staff, nice decor and good location. The room could have had some better lighting
Stylish small boutique hotel in brilliant location with secure parking close by. Charming characterful room. Adequate breakfast. Excellent value for money. If you like coffee then avoid it at breakfast!
The hotel Abad has a very pleasing ultra modern design and is very easily accessible with free parking within a few metres - we will definitely return
Location, fit for purpose, helpful friendly staff Nothing negative but breakfast bit basic
The hotel is a nice base for a citytrip in Toledo. It has an original and intimate atmosphere. The third bed (for a party of three) was very basic and saggy.
Very sweet woman at the front when we arrived, spoke english, but also responded in Spanish when I spoke to her. Location was great. Double paned windows kept out the noise. View was very nice. Room was nice sized and very clean. Wifi worked great. Breakfast was spendy and the coffee there was bad. But there were several places within walking where you can get breakfast for under 3 Euros each. For that reason, I don't understand why it was so expensive to get the breakfast at the hotel. It was 8 Euros a person and it wasn't super fancy.
