Hotel The Originals du Grand Monarque Nantes Gare

The hotel is located close to the train station, across from a beautiful church and the gorgeous Jardin des Plantes. Except for the badly stained carpet, everything was clean. The staff was really nice.

The parking situation isn't the best, appears to be three spaces but hard to book and the public parking is a walk and quite expensive. So it is best for foot travellers.

The breakfast buffet was very limited.

The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The location is excellent.

Location perfect for me -close to city centre but also train station which I needed to access during my stay.

The hotel does not have an elevator, so if you have heavy luggage or mobility issues, consider requesting a room on the lower floors to avoid climbing multiple flights of stairs.
