Pros: Everything, it was a great pleasure to release baby turtles to the sea.
Cons: Too much food, although I already told them to reduce the amount of food, they still gave us a lot.
Pros: The staff was attentive and everything we needed was provided. The island was private and perfect for an “unplugged” vacation.
Pros: The staff were absolutely fantastic and the secluded beaches were quite beautiful. Loved the privacy and overall atmosphere of the place.
Cons: Power supply was not continuous even within the times stipulated. They have electricity rationing so there's no power from 7am to 11am. However the power was out sometimes until 3pm. Also there was little to no water pressure in the shower so it was very difficult to have a shower to get the sand out of your hair.
Pros: Loved everything about Arena Island! We stayed in Casita Uno and it was brilliant. It was so comfortable, nicely decorated and we loved the outdoor private bathroom. We knew another couple were in the casita beside us but we still felt like we were on our own wee island, it was so private. Even walking around the entire island, which you can do in about 15 minutes, we met hardly another other guests. We chose mostly to eat on our balcony but did really enjoy our dinner by the water on the last night with the fire. We were also so blown away by being able to release two baby turtles, it was an amazing experience and definitely a highlight of our trip to the Philippines. I wish we had stayed for longer but I would say three days is probably enough, there isn’t a huge amount to do but that’s exactly what we wanted, just a few days to relax and spend time together. We did take one of the kayaks out to the floating deck and snorkelled around there which was great. The staff couldn’t have been more accommodating, they were so lovely. One of my highlights was also the complimentary massage, as my partner chose not to have his I had a four hand massage which was amazing! Our only comment would be that the food they prepare, which was delicious, was far too much for two people. We hate to waste food and felt terrible each time they came back for the plates that we had left so much. I had worried about the food beforehand as I don’t like eating fish but there were plenty of choices given to us. Our stay at arena island was wonderful and we would recommend to anyone, it is well worth the money and the views are gorgeous.
Cons: Nothing, we loved it all!
Pros: A beautiful location, secluded and quiet. The staff were discreet, kind and attentive. They really made the place. Also having baby turtles on the island was amazing! If you are looking to completely switch off and relax this is the ideal place, also you get picked up At the airport and taken to the island which is a huge bonus.
Cons: The food was a real let down. For the price we paid, and the pictures we saw online we expected a choice of good quality fresh meals. There was plenty of food but we were served rice 3 times a day and It was low quality, repetitive meals. They also ran out of tea, coffee and eggs while we were there and there was only beer and wine, no other soft drinks or alcohol. There was noisy building work going on which was a bit loud at times.
Pros: Turtle sanctuary . The generous servings of food . The peacocks. Angel the wild duck .
Cons: The bathrooms, broken and rusty faucets and sliding doors. Rusty thermoses for coffee, warped and cracked wooden closets, stained towels . Weak water for showers,
Pros: It's a beautiful island and beach! You almost have the whole island to yourself. It is relaxing, and you won't find anyone to bother you here. The staff is friendly and will help you get snorkel gear. They also notified us when two turtles arrived at the island so we could see them. Also, they had karaoke at night if you want to try your singing skills.
Cons: The food was average. People described it as good. I would not go that far. There were a couple of meals I liked. However, you do not get a choice of what you eat. They also did not accommodate someone with allergies in our group.
Pros: - The place is just amazing, a whole island for you with just othe 3 more guest rooms. - Good food in terms of quality and size of the portions. - Staff very kind and pleasant. - In the price is included the water activities and transfer
Cons: - For the price, the maintenance of the rooms should be better. - Cannot be considered eco resort when you are running a generator the whole day and you burn the leaves every afternoon or you can find debris every where in the island.
Pros: Good environment, excellent staff and service, homelike atmosphere.
Pros: The staff super polite happy to help. Food was good. Snorkeling, kayaking, karaoke if you like feeling I owned own private island. Only 4 cottage s and only once I seen what neighbors looked like. Fun helping release turtles to race to sea. But sad to see one go especially I named Blackie. High tide comes up fairly close late at night when I was there. We ate meals on our deck at a table in the sand surrounding our cottage. On a specially set up table on beach other side our little island. In 2 different tree houses and few other places. It was only your family wife or girlfriend you went there with who you ate with. By way fiat day there. Flew into Puerto princesca where they picked us up drove 2 hours then 45minutes boat ride. When arrived at the island a group of 5 young ladies met us put necklaces around our necks. Took us to a little place where 4 cool non alcohol drinks were waiting. Asked if wished to eat and we said yes. They took us to our cottage were 2 gentleman had carried our luggage. This allowed us to get settled in at which time they served us fresh cooked crabs. Chicken , rice, and vegetable. It was delicious. I know I will be back. By the way everything above pop lus 3 meals a day along with 2 snacks a day included in your cottage rate. The tip we left when leaving was only money we spent besides the cost of the cottage which you just have to see to believe. There was 1 king bed and 2 twin beds in our cottage which is fine it was me my wife and 2 daughters on College break. You had a nice size table on deck. Table besides house in sand. Table in sand in front of deck 2 hammock sand a nice big blue ocean all around you. The island the size of a city block.
Cons: I hated leaving is what I did not like.

Pros: Quiet comfortable and clean
Cons: A little hard to get to
Pros: We love all the food that they serve, a beautiful view in the Resort and also a coconut plantation.
Cons: We don't like is about the distance of supermarket to macapuno beach. Because its to far! And also the Comfort room is to clean!
Pros: Great rooms and location, and helpful owner (who prepared a takeaway breakfast for before 5am for me!)
Cons: Not obvious how to reach it... the main route has a bridge that is currently unsafe to cross, and then there is a long sandy road to pass. Beware if you're driving yourself!
Pros: Peace And helping staff
Pros: The owner was amazing, super friendly and helped me out a lot.
Pros: Very quit, peaceful and great food
Cons: Little bit far from supermarket
Pros: The owner is so accomodating, the place is so relaxing and the food is so good
Cons: A bit far but its okay, it's worth the wait
Pros: The staff spoke good English, the food was freshly prepared and very tasty, the room was clean and the location was very quiet.
Cons: The beach is at the mouth of a river and the sand is quite muddy. the breakfast was only eggs and toast and my wife can't eat eggs. finding and getting to the resort is quite difficult as it's down a long Sandy road and the bridge that is on the road with the sign post is not working properly.
Pros: Booked through 3rd party website a few months before check-in. Messages to the property needed sometime to get response. Once got the reply, the information was comprehensive and in great helpful detail. The resort ground and environment is just amazing. Spacious and calm, beautiful with lots of coconuts trees. I love very much the resort setting with peace and quiet. Remember, you get what you pay for. It is a basic, classical, and tasteful resort, similar to those in the Indo China, Thailand, etc... The room description and pictures are as per advertised, including fan and NO air conditioner. The liens and room are sparkling cleaned. The toilet and bathroom condition is acceptable according to this resort level. The host was very welcoming and the host's son cooked some tasty dishes, unlikely the usual food I had in the other parts of the Philippines. I enjoyed each and every meal there over my 2 nights stay. The resort is located a bit out of the place and about 7km northeast from the town. If coming from PP by public shared van, the guest should tell the driver the name of this resort and get off about 3-4km "before" reaching the Narra town. A transfer to a tricycle is required for about 100-150 pesos from that junction. From Narra town, the tricycle fares can be 200-300 pesos. Highly recommended.
Cons: None as I have prepared myself accordingly to the information available from the property's description.
Pros: Friendly family ran property with a personal touch.
Cons: The detour to the property made it difficult to find or reach.
