The service was fantastic from the moment I checked in until the time I left. The front desk, bar, maintenance and cleaning staff were all very friendly and went out of their way to make sure everything was to my satisfaction. The fitness center was very nice with a variety of equipment. Very close to downtown!
The ambience was calm and structured which made us feel like we had nothing to worry about. The staff was always eager to assist when the concierge wasn't available. I really appreciated sitting down to check in, it's not something I would normally consider but it is well worth it. The rooms were spotless and I had room 1515 with an outlook on downtown. The sheets were clean and I sunk into the down comforter. The shower and bathroom soaps were to die for, I actually bought some of it I enjoyed it so much.
I had to travel to the Java station for a simple coffee instead of allowing for my own in the room. However I'd gladly do it again for the other commodities to be available.
Staff was friendly.
Dogs barking. Noise in room above ours at 1:30 am. Food in restaurant was very bad
Extremely helpful staff Hotel car was free to use extensively Good location Nescafe machines on each floor Overall, would gladly stay again
Hotel staff replaced out towels, even though we did not need Parking at @ $25/night is a bit steep, especially when the parking deck was mostly empty
Nice room, good location, great restaurant and friendly (if not overall helpful) staff
KAYAK checkin day before went well. Reply from hotel that room ready by 3pm. Checked in at 2 and told room ready at 3. Returned at 345 and had to wait until 515 pm for room. No offer of drinks, food, credit or anything....just a lot of "sorry". Sofa couch permanently canted forward at 15 deg - couldn't fix it. Football game at 6pm Saturday - called front at 3pm and asked for cleaning service while we were gone and made clear we would be gone for 7hr + , returned at 1130 pm, room not cleaned or anything. Really nice place - have eaten at 1808 several times. But they must not empower their employees to accomplish service recovery, and don't understand the advantages to under promise, over deliver vs. over promise and under deliver disaster for customer relations. Made me feel I was getting cheated for my $$ on a not so cheap room.
I didn't like how the shampoo, conditioner, and body soap were super purfumey.
Well appointed rooms. Bistro 1808 (on site restaurant) is very good. Fiona was very helpful.
It "stinks." The lobby has perfumed air pumped through it and they also spray your room. Careful if you suffer from allergies.
Our room wasn't ready to check in and wasn't going to be until 6pm. We had to check in to a smaller room. Our newspaper was not delivered. Had to call twice to get one. The service staff uses the same elevators so we were usually riding with a cleaning g or room service cart on board. After calling ahead to have the car brought around it was not ready for us and no one had even called the valet to request it for us. It had been more that 10 minutes and it was NOT busy. We were not impressed on any level. Clearly poor management. We won't stay again or recommend The Hutton. Too bad as it looked like a great place.
The staff was fabulous!
Everything was perfect.
I had the privacy sign marked but the staff still knock on the door and walked in when I was sleep.
The Hutton is absolutely one of my favorite hotels. The staff, from top to bottom, are amazing and really make the experience fantastic. I stay here about once every six months and it is always consistent. This past stay was the first I booked through a third party and we were given a great room on a high floor. They could not have been more accommodating. I look forward to being back soon! Thanks
Staying in Nashville, the Hutton was in a great location on the West End. We used the free shuttle service to downtown several times and took a cab back, usually no more than $7.00. Walking distance to Vanderbilt and some good eats even closer. Valet service was excellent. Even though I could have saved a few bucks by parking myself, I never thought twice about skipping the valet during our 4 night stay. I always tipped the valet staff and they were awesome. Super restaurant, the 1808 Grille on the first floor. Reasonably priced and the quality of the food and service was fantastic. We will definitely consider the Hutton again during our next trip to Nashville.
The construction to some buildings surrounding the Hutton were a little unsightly, but we had a room on the 11th floor, so we saw above and had a view of downtown Nashville.
Great location, not far from all the sights off of Broadway. The hotel itself reminded me of the Kimpton chain; lots of similarities in style and amenities.
There is currently construction on the property next to the hotel, so there is some noise on weekdays starting at 7:30. Self-parking on level 3 (level 1-2 is valet only) was only a very mild annoyance, but nothing that would deter me from staying again.
