Cons: Reserved my car online, then received a phone call an hour before I was due to pick up my car saying that they didn't have a car for me. Unfortunately, I was already on a flight and didn't get the message until I landed. Their counter agent was unfriendly and wasn't willing to try to help find a solution. I called anther location and they couldn't transfer my reservation because apparently airport and non-airport are separate contract systems and can't be moved. Then I called their central reservations group only to be told that they would need to create an updated reservation for me and it would be TWICE the price I had originally reserved at. I went elsewhere and actually got a car at a better price immediately. I won't be renting from Hertz again if I can avoid it.

Convenient location - friendly staff
Pros: The staff was friendly and they helped me get my luggage in the car.
This was a short notice rental that I made online the night before - so I was thankful for a location in Nashville away from the Airport, as the Nashville Airport rates for all rental cars are some of the highest I've seen. The location was convenient.
Cons: The wait was a bit longer than I had hoped it would be, but only about 20 minutes.

Cons: They were overwhelmed by the 4 customers they had & didn't have cars ready despite reservations. I accepted a dirty car rather than wait even longer for it to be cleaned. Not a big deal, but not what you expect from what is supposedly a premium brand.

Pros: I have had several good rentals with Hertz in the past, but this time was not that way...
Cons: We verified the reservation the morning of the rental, showed up to the airport Hertz terminal upon arrival, and we were told that our car was actually at another location 10 miles away. A $35 cab fare later, the location we were sent to told us that they had no cars available at all at that location and we were told that we would have to go back to the airport location as it is the only location around with any cars to rent.
We took another $35 cab fare back to the airport while on the phone with Hertz customer service who had to cancel our existing reservation and remake it due to system problems, and then was unable to match the existing rate and couldnt restore the deleted reservation. So after being out $70 for cab fares, we were being told we would have to pay $40 more on our rental due to additional fees charged at the airport.
My reservation was only for $80 total, I am bad at math but they really screwed me this time... Back to Enterprise I guess, lesser of the two evils.

Pros: The only thing that I found helpful was a lady named Carrie at the call center. And even tho I still have not received my money back yet(because of another employee negligence to do their job properly) she was very helpful.
Cons: Everything! When we got there, we had to wait almost r0 minutes for a car because they didn't have 1. Then because I used my card and paid online(fuel account) but the reservation was in my fiancé's name they were not going to rent to us any way. They tried to run my credit and were going to charge an additional $200. Then I had several more problems when I called the 800 number to get my money released. Just horrible and I will never use them again!
Cons: Went around to all the rental agencies at Nashville Air terminal to get the best deal for sar rental one way to Cleveland Ohio

Cons: You need to be careful with what they tell you. I upgraded to a larger vehicle and they told me no extra charge. Then when I go to check out there is an additional charge of almost 40.00$s. Their explanation was since I prepaid the gas I brought it on empty but because it was snigger car I had to pay the extra gas. 40.00$??!! So I did not have to pay, but it was a fight. No way to do business.

Great car, tricky changes at the counter.
Pros: The car, a Nissan Altima, was comfortable, clean, and fun to drive.
Cons: I made the reservation online with all my preferences, but my husband picked it up and ended up paying more than I'd planned or reserved because they sold unnecessary insurance at the counter (our policy covers rentals). I know it's our responsibility to know what we need, but if they had kept my reservation details and not tried to upsell at pickup, we would have saved money and stayed in our travel budget.

Don't extend your rental without reading the fine
Cons: I needed to extend my rental by one day. That day would have cost me a weekly rate and a 175.00 additional charge for the car and coverage. I turned the car in and rented a car from another company, saving me $100 or so.
Pros: Visited Nashville and rented a car for the day. The staff were extremely nice and helpful. The newer model car was in great condition with many extra features. It was spotless inside and out. And when we brought it back the next day, they were nice enough to give us a ride to the airport at no extra charge.

Pros: The car was good and the fact that I can give back the key when the agency was closed was a very good surprise and it was very convenient.
Cons: I was in a hurry when I picked up the car because I had an appointment less than an hour before ( and I had 40 minutes drive). The agency opened at 9. They let me in at 850am but they didn't want to help me before 9. (That I can understand). But then, they started to answer the phone, go to see another car for his colleague etc. it took about 20 min to do the contract and get the car... Except that, it is a very good agency and I recommend it.

Pros: The enterprise facility was offsite from airport. Very friendly they allowed me to return at airport without incurring a drop penalty
Cons: I chose airport code BNA as my pick up and drop off point when selecting options for my car rental. An offsite rental facility should not be shown unless the rental agency will pick you up from the airport. Enterprise has a company slogan "we'll pick you up" - apparently not because I had to pay a $30 Uber fare to get to the facility. If Kayak chooses to show options a warning should pop up letting the user know that an off site rental facility Had been selected, and in that case wether or not the rental facility has shuttle service

Pros: The people working the drop off/pickup desk in Nashville were very nice and extremely helpful.
Cons: My mom and I drove from Nashville to Lynchburg, Va with this car. Check engine light and low tire pressure light came on along with oil change warning light. All 4 tires were quite low & we were a quart low on oil! Never again, Advantage.

Pros: The check out woman at the gate was very helpful; she called the manager and helped get me a cleaner car.
Cons: The car I was assigned was dirty - large patch of sticky substance on the front windshield, a big stain on the driver's seat and dirty, splotchy side view mirrors. When I requested a cleaner car, I was told, unpleasantly, that there were none.

Pros: We were fortunate to have a short line, so a minimal wait. They upgraded us from an economy to a small SUV without even asking. The clerk was polite and helpful.
Cons: The walk to the parking garage at the Nashville airport was a little long especially on the cold day we were there. I can't fault the rental company for that. They were great.
Cons: The agent asked me if I would like a roomy Corolla or Sentra. I said "the Corolla is fine." Upon signing, my bill went from the quoted $133 to $240. I questioned the increase and was told "the difference is the upgrade you requested." How is answering a question about a vehicle preference an upgrade. HIGHLY deceptive. I declined and got the $133 as promised. So sad.

Great Memorial Holiday Deal
Pros: The weekend rate for an economy car in Nashville TN was great. In and out in less than 20 minutes.
Pros: I read some reviews that made me nervous I was going to have a hard time, but it ended up being a good choice for me. I picked up my car in Memphis, and returned it after driving to Nashville. In both places, I found friendly staff, short lines, enough cars to choose from, car was in great condition and very clean, and a super easy return process. And all for a really great price.
Cons: nothing - my experience went very smoothly.

Terrible car rental
Cons: I reserved a Large car because I was traveling with 2 kids and my wife. We had two car seats, 1 facing forward and the other backwards, along with a crib, stroller and our large suitcase. When we arrived the attendant said he had one car left and it was a midsize with no offer to refund any of the fees. When we go to the car it took 30 minutes to get the car seats in along with the other luggage because it was like a puzzle, we almost could not get everything in. I sat in the passenger seat and had my knees up on the dash as there was no room left after putting the car seat in and having to push the seat all the way forward. I have heard of upgrades on car rentals but never a downgrade and not even an apology. I call the 800# number the following day to complain and they took down all my information and said I would get a call within 72 hours. 72 hours is pretty much the end of my trip, so much for getting the car I reserved. Oh and I am still waiting for that call or email from the customer service center and we are on day 5. I will never use Payless and I would suggest that you don't either. Read Twitter if you want more feedback.

Nice car! But cost more than stated.
Pros: It was a great, new car. Pick up was uneventful but finding the car wasn't the greatest. But it was the size of the airport.
Cons: It ended up costing $75 more than originally stated. It ended up being maybe an hour extra maybe but we were charge for like 3 extra hours. I think we picked it up 15 minutes earlier. They get you for every single extra minute by charging you an extra hour no matter if it is 2 minutes or 58 minutes. AND trying to find the drop off was insane. That added a whole extra hour to our time! The signage is horrible and completely missed it 3 times. They had one agent handling 3 different companies. These companies end up being the cheapest when reserving a rental but in the long run probably are not worth it because you end up paying so much more in the end.

Cons: Very deceptive... I was told to sign here and here; agent never said sign for loss damage waiver. I never accept that. I should have looked more closely, but they need to tell you what you are signing, not just "sign here". Bad business practices... I won't be back!
Pros: The car was clean, modern, easy to operate and very economical. At less than twenty-eight dollars a day, I don't see how you could beat it.
This was definitely one of my best rental car experiences.
Cons: Can't think of anything negative to say. The Nashville Airport needs better rental car return signage, particularly when coming back to the terminal.

Pros: I had a good experience. The car was nice and the sales representative was helpful and knowledgeable. The price of the car was exactly as I was expecting it to be.
Cons: The line to check in to get the car was ridiculously long and slow moving. The insurance was almost twice as much as advertised on here when I got there.
