Pros: Great and very friendly place. Cosy room with comfortable beds. Good breakfast with Local food. Excellent dining room.
Pros: Comfy and large room with kitchen, dining table and sofa/couch. Good view of mountain from room.
Cons: It’s a quite town with limited dinner options. Breakfast is light but good quality.
Pros: Charming location and property. Host was very nice and helpful.
Cons: The only minor complaint was that internet access was very spotty.
Pros: Nice clean place, good host and very good breakfast.
Pros: Cute and atmospheric, nicely done. Good breakfast but another egg would not have gone amiss.
Cons: Quite a way from the station so for us we would look to stay elsewhere next time as taxis are expensive for a 5 minute trip. TV was a 1996 15 » version which would not have mattered but we anted to watch the football so it wasn’t great.
Pros: Everything was perfect
Cons: Everything was perfect
Pros: I only booked for 1 night, with my mother. An absolutely charming host and a lovely typical house. Great location as well, I regret not having more time to explore the surroundings. The room was very comfy and clean. Amazing overall, and I will definitely come back
Pros: Very quiet location for a great night’s sleep. Comfortable and clean. Nice breakfast. It broke the drive from Bergen to Oslo perfectly.
Cons: The bathroom is a little small with no real space to put toiletries.
Pros: Friendly owner and cosy cottage. We arrived very late in the night but the owner gladly waited up for us to hand over the cottage keys personally. She is a lovely dear lady.
Cons: A little pricey given the location in a small village away from the main road.
Pros: The property was beautifully decorated, with private entrance, WiFi, a sofa, a little kitchenette. Close to the shops and walking distance from the station.

Pros: The place was beautiful and the food was very good! The staff was really friendly and nice. If you her come I recommend the dinner, because it was very delicious!
Cons: It was a little bit expensive.
Pros: Very friendly host who provided us with a fantastic meal taking into account the location of the place. Breakfast was also above expectations.
Pros: This hostel is a chef husband and a hotel manager and his wife and wife they very friendly and nice.
Pros: - Location - Beautiful area to visit if you like hiking, biking, riding, swimming, fishing, animals, etc. - The hotel had freshly baked bread every morning. It was really tasty! - Typical simple Norwegian breakfast with bread, juice, milk, spread, cold cuts, eggs, bacon, jam, fruit, müsli, with more. - The hosts, who upgraded my room free of charge, since I'm pregnant. He was extremely polite and service-minded. I felt very safe and welcomed. - Down the road you can buy groceries at a small supermarket - Langedrag Naturepark is not far away, which I really enjoyed
Cons: - It would be nice to see the entire place renovated - Some areas are a bit shabby - More snacks in the reception - Not the mountains lodge fault, but the many sheeps nearby were my alarm clock

Featured amenities include a 24-hour business center, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk. This hotel has 15 meeting rooms available for events. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: A little bit remote. But a good price. Nice to have a bar for a change.
Cons: Why do they try to charge you for a road that isn’t even asphalt?
Pros: Parking facilities
Pros: The restaurant was very nice
Pros: Probably Norways best buffet, top notch food!
Pros: Spacious rooms. Convenient parking.
Cons: Lights not working in our room. No shower curtain. Signage not very clear. Menu not available in English which is unusual for Norway.
Pros: Well suited for children, many activities. Friendly staff in restaurant. Well kept and clean property.
Cons: We arrived somewhat earlier than check-in time, and did not feel welcome. Staff at reception was surly, and made no attempt at giving us a time when room would be ready, and we had to wait until 1700, while watching busloads getting their rooms. We had reserved a superior room, which Booking has described as having a mountain view and air conditioning. The room did not have a view and the air con was turned off. We were told that many of the superiior rooms in fact do not have a view. This should be reflected on Booking's description. All in all we feel we did not get value for money.
Pros: I liked the friendly staff in reception. The beds were comfortable
Cons: The food we got served was horrific! First day we had pizza for lunch which looked and tasted like something that has been frozen for 3 years before cooking. Dinner same night was cold and the burgers were not homemade, they were like the ones you buy at a gas station. The waiters did not have control, one of the waiters dropped her note pad in the food of the woman next to us and instead of getting new food for her she just pulled her pad out and wiped it off. The waiters didn’t seem to have had much training, the were clumsy, messy and confused. We were forgotten several times, which was stressful for us since we had a baby with us that got quite impatient. The swimming facilities was something we were excited about taking our baby to. But the big pool was too cold and the hot tub was too hot. I thought when the ad said swim land that it would be a bit more modern and comfortable. It was disappointing.
Pros: Nice swimming pool with a separate child swimming pool and a water slide. Very friendly personnel.
Cons: Quite distant, road is partially gravel. Looked significantly overpriced (probably because of high season).
Pros: Views around and from property are fantastic
This hotel is located in central Gol and overlooks the Hallingdal Valley. It offers free Wi-Fi internet access and free private parking. Gol Train Station is only 2.3 km away. All guest rooms at Solstad Hotel & Motel have a TV. Solstad Hotel’s in-house restaurant offers a variety of dishes, and the café serves home-made meals. In summer, guests can relax out on the large terrace. The surrounding mountains provide easy access to skiing and hiking.
Pros: Good breakfast, my husbond miss eggs/bacon. We went by trail/bus/taxi
Cons: Problem with the room-key, got good help.
Pros: The hotel and staff were great. They even had craft beer for sale at the front desk. We arrived late but they stayed till 11pm to meet us.
Pros: I loved the staff, the comfortable bed, and the onsite restaurant.
Cons: Gol is a grim little town and I would not choose to stay there again. It did prove to be convenient to many stave churches, which was the purpose of our visit.
Pros: Good place to stay while driving from Oslo to Bergen. Some restaurants and supermarket nearby.
Pros: The front desk lady who checked us in was very friendly and pleasant.
Cons: The bed was way too soft! We had to put the mattress on the floor and when we moved the sofa to accommodate this there was an empty candy box and a lot of dust clumps on the floor. They should do a deep cleaning at least before the main tourist season starts. Also the extra pillow in the storage area had a blood stain on it. Very gross!
Pros: Lovely spacious room, with a comfy bed and sofa. It was clean and warm, and the breakfast options were great.
Cons: A kettle with for hot drinks in the room would have been ideal.
Pros: Excellent Breakfast and an excellent location near shopping. Nice big room.
Cons: Wish they provided free transportation to the train station.
Pros: No space on February
Pros: Large variety of breakfast food.
Cons: Too few towels, room must have been a former smoking room as it still smells from cigarettes. No temperature control in room and postage stamp size towels..
Pros: The breakfast buffet in the 100+ year-old upstairs room was particularly good with excellent selection and many Norwegian choices. The family that runs the hotel are very nice and very helpful. It's a short walk to everything on Gol's main street. There is a nice little walk across the bridge upstream on the river to a restored 100 year-old power hut with a swimming pond.
Cons: It is about a 30 minute walk from the train station. That is fine if the weather is good, but consider taking a taxi in bad weather. We were there during an unusual heat wave and the hotel, like many in Norway, wasn't really equipped to keep rooms cool.
The Pers Hotel provides a great place for travelers to relax after a busy day. When guests have some time on their hands they can make use of the onsite facilities. Guests of this Gol hotel can make use of the parking facilities.

Pros: Dinner was amazing felt like home cooking during holiday breakfast also amazing
Cons: Bring mosquito spray
Pros: The breakfast was awesome. So many choices. The room was exactly what was promised.
Cons: I would prefer a shower stall not just a curtain. I always end up with water all over the floor.
Pros: The staff was very friendly and were able to accommodate our late check-in. They were able to provide a baby cot for my younger child which was greatly appreciated! The breakfast was very nice, with many options: delicious homemade bread, fresh fruit and many others treats!
Pros: - sheep in the front
Cons: - really aged
Pros: Great breakfast, very friendly staff, and wonderful amenities (including rec room with table tennis)
Pros: Smedsgården hotel is located in such location far from crowd, nice view that it is very good to get proper rest before I continue my travelling by car.
Pros: breakfast is great, a very warm host
Pros: Good location for a stop while driving from Bergen to Oslo. Nice staff and excellent views
Cons: Discoloration in water. Poor wifi Bad smell in room. Squeaky Floors. People can be heard while walking in upper floors.
Pros: We stayed in a cottage while visiting. It was basic, but had everything we needed. The best part of the stay was the breakfast that was included with our stay. It was sumptuous --- abundant, fresh and had something for every palate. The staff was extremely welcoming, attentive and friendly. We just wish that we could have arrived earlier and stayed longer. Smedsgarden was the perfect location for our stay as we completed one of Norway's scenic routes and needed accommodations before heading on to Oslo in our journey.
Pros: Breakfast was fine. The location was nice - off the highway a little. It is quaint and old. We needed lodging for 6 family members, so we rented 2 rooms in the lodge and the 2 bedroom cottage. The rooms were better than the cottage. Rooms were clean and the beds were fine.
Cons: The 2 bedroom cottage is probably past being updated again. It needs to be torn down and replaced. Ants in the bathroom.
Cons: The toilet shower and only water source were far from the cabin. Luckily the weather was dry and mild. I hate to think what it would have been like in the cold and rain. I am not exceptionally tall and the bed was short for me. Anyone over t6ft 2 (188 cm) would not have been happy
Pros: Nothing of that.
Cons: Too little informatiom on website and no telephone number to inquire about the place ant its facilities.
Pros: Cozy, warm and quiet place. Nice view to The Valley. Very friendly stuff. Clear rooms and sanitary zones. Atmosphere of relaxation. have to go back here and Norway also. Thanx a lot
Pros: Cute place a little out of town which was nice and quiet and had some good walking trails around. I stayed in the loft which had a good little kitchen in it too
Cons: Extra 120 Kr for bed linen
Pros: The owner was very nice and accommodating as we arrived an hour late due to travel complications. The bungalow was very cute and cozy though there were a lot of flies inside. The location is nice if you are looking for a country-side stay.
Cons: We were not aware that you had to bring your own sheets in towels and were only informed of this a few days in advance. The owner did provide linens for a fee, which worked out well. Cleaning fee, linens and towels are extra. The shared bathroom is a bit dated and rundown (there is only one bathroom/shower on premise) but it works well for a camping style accommodation.
Pros: Very nice location out the beaten paths in a farming area on top of the city. Nice view and nice staff. Access is easy, and we got good recommendations for our diner in town.
Cons: Be aware you’ll be charged 250NOK extra for bed sheets and towel, and extra more for room cleaning (or you can clean on your own like we did). Strong impact on the bottom line if you’re staying just one night and chose this place because it was the cheapest on booking... which is not whit all charges included. Furniture and equipments are old and should be refreshed to fit with this price range standards.

Rooms are traditional in design with pine-clad walls and either private or shared bathroom facilities. The bedrooms look out onto the farm and feature access to free Wi-Fi. Langedrag Naturpark is a functioning dairy farm, producing goat milk as well as offering homemade Norwegian dishes in the on-site café. Guests can take part in feeding the animals, while horse riding and dog sledding can also be arranged. 1 hour’s drive from Geilo, this area of Norway is known for its skiing and spectacular mountain scenery. Oslo is a 3-hour drive to the east and Bergen is within 5 hour’s drive to the west.
Pros: Just fantastic! We arrived here by chance and were amazed by the place, surrounded by unspoilt nature, all sorts of animals... An unknown jewel!
Cons: Food is relatively simple but fits well with the place
Pros: The accommodation was amazing, really atmospheric and authentic! we loved the animals and the proximity to the enclosures where we could pop out see animals and come back to warm up then go out again. The staff were so friendly and the food was amazing! Highly recommend staying here and experiencing an amazing Lynx and wolf enclosure experience!
Cons: No toilet in the room, but it was only in the hallway so not far away.

Pros: Staff, breakfast
Cons: Old outdated room
Pros: Great friendly check in the owner let me use his garage for my motorcycle good dinner and plenty of it
Cons: Dinner was at 1830 no other time there is no menu you eat the one choice that's on offer or nothing else hahaha luckily for me I liked the food... breakfast was at 0800 no earlier since I had 700 km to drive for a ferry I had to leave before breakfast no refund offered even though I'd just paid nearly 300 nok for dinner also no tv in the room
