Quiet, pleasant location. Terrace and gardens. Noisy door locks and latches and slamming doors echo around what is a large old building. Evening meals/snacks, good quality but pricey.
A nicely appointed and clean hotel with character and in very peaceful and pleasant grounds. The hotel was decorated with original paintings and had a classy feel to it. Finding the hotel may have been difficult without satnav but there was ample parking. The staff were friendly and helpful.
We booked 2 bedrooms, we arrived at around 20:00, I had a very nice bedroom however my collegue received a very low quality bedroom in the cellar without window, we asked to change however the hotel was fully booked, they booked another hotel for us but gave us the wrong address, took us 1 hour to find hotel, very bad experience and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone!!!
facility was excellent and staff was very hospitable. nothing
The rooms are all on the second floor and there is no lift, so if you have a problem with stairs this is not the hotel for you. Other than that this is one of my favourite hotels. It’s not perfect but I rate it 10 out of 10 because once I get here I can completely relax. The food is excellent and the staff are genuinely friendly.
Hotel staff. location (green and peace) It is a little bit tricky find the hotel... but with a Tom tom you can go everywhere...
Nothing Hotel did not offer Facilities as advertised. Resturant was closed. Themed room Morroco was with Swedish Furniture Albiet ratan the only morrocan feel was the casablanca movie picture one wall mirror and 3 small camels on top of the ikea style wardrobe.
The general appearance of the building and the beautiful guest lounge The ultra modernised bedrooms which were clinical, being all white and sparsely furnished
The room was very clean, the staff was friendly and the breakfast was good. Value for money. The room could offer a little bit more comfort ( everything is there, but basic)
The location was excellent. It was quiet and great for exploring the Rhine and Mosel regions. Manager was outstanding and very helpful in all respects. Pillows were very poor, but were replaced immediately upon request. Heating was also inadequate.
Fantastic view of the Rhine. Wonderful location. I was also pleasently surprised by the free WiFi. Good receptiion in most rooms.
window view over the Rhine. Quiet. Character of the building. Ate dinner and had a very nice meal. Nice breakfast also included in price. Had a couple of restaurants close but not too much nearby.
The restaurant staff was very helpful. I wish the staff had spoken more English. I asked the room be cleaned one day. New towels appeared and the glasses were not replaced with clean ones.
The rooms were big and comfortable. Nothing was translated into English, all the way through the hotel.
The hotel catered well for English speaking guests with English translated menu in the Schloss Engers restaurant. We found the food, both breakfast and dinner, to be excellent. Most of the staff did speak English and were very helpful.
Design and comfort of room was amazing, everything perfectly done and attention to detail was impressive Indoor swimming pool would have made the spa facilities perfect (separate from the spa area, another room next to the spa area could be an option)
The welcome, food etc, were all very good, distance from river, Market Place and transport - all very good. I have not ticked any of above boxes, because they did not really apply to our small group. (for myself the weather was on the hot side, but that is an advantage for some) There was room for improvement in the en-suite, there is no reason for complaint,
It is near station
The staff were very friendly and approachable - a really pleasent atmosphere.
total concept of a hotel garni very well executed with a very good eye for details. very well served our purpose of an overnihgt stay in the beginning of a trekking along the Rhein
It was good value for money. We were well informed of the layout of the town and where to find interesting places and resturants. Nothing specific about the hotel except that it is an uphill walk from the station, made more difficult with luggage.
We were met at Reception by Conny , a very friendly and helpful person, who showed us to the room which was very clean indeed. There were 2 bottles of water plus biscuits for us free of charge, which was a very nice touch. The location was reasonably quiet and the comfortable room ensured a restful night. Breakfast was very good indeed with the servery being replenished very frequently. Their brochure describes the hotel as a two star, but in my opinion it is worth much more and very well worth the money charged. In Andernach itself the Restaurant Zum Franziskaner is well worth a visit as the food was fantastic and the prices very good indeed. No. Everything was just right for us.
The location was very good-near the staion and town. We had a warm welcome and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. We had lovely breakfasts and could come and go as we pleased keeping our own key. Quiet location.
Hotel was immaculately decorated in typical German style and very comfortable. Breakfast was very good. The only power point was for the TV - one or two additional power points in the room would have been useful
Close to the city center. Good and nice hosts. Good breakfast with the possibility to make your lunch and bring it with you for the day. Better ventilation from the bathroom could have been very nice. Bit more parking space just near the hotel. A bit larger TV.
Convenient to the motorway and to the centre of Andernach.
Nice hotel, well placed near city center. Nice staff with english knowledge. Wireless Internet included. Only a few food choices (only one kind of cheese, one kind of meat, no vegetables) for the breakfast. No parking at the hotel and very difficult parking in the area.
Nice, clean, comfortable hotel. Very nice breakfast buffet.
Location to central station
Near Newwied station(about 10 min by walk),near city central and also near the Rhine river. If they have inter-net facility, It might comfortable for me.
The room was a generous size with a great view of the Rhine; beds were comfortable and everything was clean. The breakfast was luxurious. We didn't feel like going to the restaurant the first night and ordered room service, and the food was delicious. Overall, it was the relaxing, off the beaten path experience we were looking for. Putting guides in the hotel room on how the hotel works (room service, breakfast hours, internet etc) would go along way for those used to seeing that info spelled out, but reception was helpful when we called and we got the information and services we needed. If you take the train to Urmitz to get to the hotel, be aware that you have to walk out to the main street to catch the bus or any taxis; the hotel website doesn't point this out.
Friendly reception, fun Brauhaus restaurant, excellent breakfast - I would happily revisit Strange "wet room" bathroom. Floor slopes away from drain.....
Breakfast was good, although we had to pay extra and it was in another building.Water for tea not boiled properly. Even though we arrived after 17.00, our room was not ready. Hastily made up so some cleaning was a bit cursory. Overhanging bushes in reception parking need trimming as they restrict parking access. No key for room safe - staff said the previous owners had taken all the safe keys!
A nice and quiet place. Friendly atmosphere. Very good breakfast. Nice suroundings. Definitely recommended for those who want to stay away from a noisy city. A traffic sign "traffic forbidden" at the beginning of the access road to the hotel makes a sort of confusion, especially at night when it is hard to find somebody to ask the way.
Hotel is good, room is big and clean. Breakfast is OK. Distance to restaurant 200 meters, 3 days WiFi is not working. First day hot water in bathroom, only after 5 oclock:(
This hotel is only 16 months old, and is wonderful. The rooms are the most modern and comfortable for a business traveler in Europe that I have ever stayed in over the past 10 yrs. In addition, it was an incredible bargain....and the Oktoberfest menu at the Bauhaus was delicious!
The hotel was very new, modern in design, and the staff really helpful and friendly. The swimming pool was beautiful also
Very modern, cosy and friendly as its name suggests! There are still some touches to be added, a bit incomplete
Good hotel, staff is Ok. Room is good and clean. Location:(( Breakfast in other building:(
nice room, good atmosphere, excellent food !
Le personnel de service est exceptionnel. Room-service.
very helpful staff good accomodation and an excellent chef great!!!!
Nice location and very pleasant staff. Hotel room was old and bathroom could use a remake.
Excellent location, excellent location of rooms with to the river , view to the chateau Cold ambiance of main lobby and lounge, sublime terrace along the river
The location of the hotel was very scenic, situated in a wonderful little tow and the staff were very helpful and friendly
When we arrived they did not have our booking, any way they give us a room.
hotel was located next to the rhine river we were upgraded to a larger room with a window over the river which was nice we wanted to take a boat tour but boats leave that town only rarely
we could not get an evening meal in the hotel because we had not booked but we were never informed we had to book for this facility.
Very good situation with a beautiful view on Rhein There was no wi-fi in the hotel
Clean modern well equipped guest room, tasteful bathroom, excellent breakfast.
The distance from the guesthouse to the hotel. There was no parking as stated due to the grounds being laid out for an open air concert. The evening meal was a disaster despite a fabulous menu A formal complaint was made and the cost was deducted from the bill. It took 2 hours from starter to main course, despite several complaints
Both the staff and the room were very welcoming after a long journey. The room was clean and comfortable and had a very contemporary feel to it. The mini bar / fridge was out of order.
The Staff was friendly at the reception. Very friendly in the restaurant ( which offers excellent food) but was rather empty that evening, just another table. From the website you might understand you will sleep in a castle at very attractive prices. In fact the lower pricing is offering rooms in a guest house located at 300 m distance from the reception. Rooms are clean, but located on the side of a very busy trafic road. So If you want to sleep in the castle you will have to book higher prices rooms. Not also sure the price from the Booking.Com reservation was the same than the one invoiced.
calm, peaceful Wifi was not working on the 2nd floor and the photos on the internet did not reflect the reality (it is the Gästehaus and not the Schloss, so please make it clear)
It was a beautiful palace. The staff was more than courteous and helpful. Information said breakfast was $8.00 per person. While my son and I had only coffee the first morning and nothing the second morning, $32 was added to the room cost. a surprize, but am writing them directly as it could have just been an assumption on someone's part.
clean the street beside the room was too noisy
Rooms a short walk away from schloss but large, modern and clean. B'fast was superb and easily the best we had during our stay in the Rhine. Food in Restaurant v good but wine expensive (no bottle for less than 23 euro).
excellent room, lovely staff
wireless Internet, the arrival at the night is possible It is not enough of a soap in the holders of a toilet and shower
The cleanliness and comfort of the rooms combined with high service from the hotel staff and good food and drinks. Early breakfasts. The W-lan quality varied a lot from room to room and over the time. A strong fire wall prevented my SonicWALL Global VPN connection (a safe 128-bit coded communication) to my desk top in Sweden.
I could not fault this hotel. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, and the staff were very welcoming and helpful. We found the food to be excellent value for money. The only downside to this hotel is that they still allow smoking in the bar area.
Convenience and closeness to the centre of Andernach
wonderful service, location and food
Excellent large room with all facilities required, very clean and excellent food available in the bar area. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Restaurant attached serving good food. Free ample parking. Quiet. The restaurant has two sitting areas: smoking and somewhat less smoking.
The staff were very Kind. We have two children and they were very happy to help
Friendliness and welcome from staff
The kindness of the family Reuter and their staff
Fraindly Helpfull Staff
Location...The hotel is right on the river. Very nice. Nothing. We had avery nice stay.
The hotel is located on the promonade and has it's own car park. The owner was very helpful and went out of his way to ensure we had a good stay. No
The Hotel Zur Mühle is located beside the Rhine River in Bad Briesig, 30km south of Bonn. It was a very peaceful place to stay with friendly staff. Our room was very clean and confortable. The hotel has a well-kept garden, including a very pleasant terrace just beside the river.
Location close to Rhine very good. Breakfast good. Hotel is a bit old fashioned some areas like the dining room look rather dated
Friendly staff, very helpful . Nice location at the border of the Rhine .
lovely hotel ,good position by rhine ,very friendly helpful owner ,lovely 1st floor bedroom ,excellent breakfast, will stay there again .
The staff were really helpful and sorted out car parking immediately I arrived and made recommendations to what to see nearby.
Welcome from reception, shown to very large room for the 3 of us. Small ensuite but excellent shower. Good breakfast with Rhine views. Helpful staff. Easy to find parking. Homely decor.
The restaurant was not open during my stay which was a little inconvient
A beautiful view of the Rhine river and right next to the old city with many shops and restaurants. The hotel was very clean and the owner let us park our motorcycles in her garage.
The hotel is good and have a perfect stuff.
Breakfast very good, good standard of hygiene. Room clean, mini-bar very useful, not too expensive. Liked the balcony, chairs not very comfortable, loungers would have been nice. Would have liked someone to have been on site when we arrived.
Nothing much, but brfeakfast was reasonable. Ghastly building design.
Staff friendly and very helpful. Quiet location - mid week Sept
Excellent service, good breakfast, plenty of parking, proximity to the centre of the town and river. The hotel web site indicated a vibrant nightlife in the town and was one of the reasons we chose to stay there. However, whilst there was a full street of bars they all remained closed over the weekend - on checking out of the hotel was told they only open for around 10 weekends a year. Still a good selection of local bars and restaurants but very quiet.
Reception staff spoke good english and were very helpful. None
Good location in Bad Honningen town centre and close to Rhine. Nice breakfast and friendly staff. Good parking. Quiet. Nothing.
Very central to the town and within easy reach of most facilities, comfortable rooms, although a bit noisy from the trains The breakfasts were not too imaginative and some of the cold cuts looked quite curly and dry, as they were out for the 2 days we were there
