Very historic and romantic. Room and bath a bit small, but made do.
Not real clear how to get your car upon departure.
Could not have been on better location , staff helpful, Bed was comfortable, nice shower, nice but small room
No free wifi, no hair dryer, small bathroom
The hotel has a great atmosphere. All the hotel staff were very attentive and friendly. Conveniently located in the French Quarter with many restaurants, bars and not far from Bourbon Street.
Booked this room over 6 months in advance for the night before our wedding. Turns out we booked a day earlier than what we needed. I called the hotel to see if we could switch, but was rudely spoken to, hung up on twice when I asked to speak to a manager and when I finally did get ahold of someone in charge, they were unwilling to work out anything. I was at a loss for words. I travel to NOLA every few months and have always wanted to stay at hotel monteleone. So disappointed with the customer service, the way they spoke to customers, and although we did end up staying there that night, it will be the last time. Go to the bar, don't spend the night
The Monteleon is a great hotel in the heart of the French quarter . Loved the atmosphere, Carosel Bar, and friendly staff. Our stay was wonderful. Will look forward to stayintg there again on our next visit to New Orleans.
Great location, ambience was nice.
Very limited room service menu. The directions to elevators and floors were confusing.
- The location was in perfect proximity to the French Quarter (in the French Quarter) on the gorgeous Royal St which is, in my experience, the prettiest street in the French Quarter - There are ample antique shops, art galleries, restaurants, jazz clubs and cafes nearby - The hotel is exceptionally lovely, very clean and well-maintained - The rotating carousel bar on the first floor is fabulous with a great jazz band on Saturday nights. - Rooftop pool is gorgeous but was always full - The Spa sounded fantastic
- The cost of the parking was extremely high (~40+ per day) Even after checking out and only being in the area for < 15 hours the last day, we still had to pay the full amount for the day. - The pool was always really crowded which speaks to the popularity of the hotel
Rooftop Pool and Carousal Bar are a must to see when you stay here. The beds are also very comfortable and plush and the built in mini-fridge was very convenient (not filled with items meant to upcharge which I appreciate). This place is definitely a go to place to stay in New Orleans
For the price, the room furnishing is a bit aged, but still functional and not cheap feeling.
The staff and cleaning crew were wonderful. Always going above and beyond to make our stay perfect.
The pool had debris in the pool. It was also very cold and we were told it would be heated. Thr 60.00 a day fee for parking, and room service was a complete a suprise. I was under the assumption that I could pay directly for parking....however, the hotel put a hold on my debit card for services I didn't use...for example, room service. It will take 3-5 business days to receive my refund. That caught me off guard and caused my finances to be tight for a few days until I could move money around at my bank. I wish I had been aware of these charges.
Everything. But make sure you ask for a suite. They have 1.5 bathrooms a jacuzzi and a giant glass shower. Room also has 2 rooms.
Great location, comfortable beds, clean, nice staff, fun bar. Will stay definitely stay here again.
The hotel was very nice, located in convenient place and prices are reasonable.
Front entrance is very congested, rooms were a bit smaller.
The hotel was clean, beautiful, and the beds soo comfortable. But the best part if our stay was the service. The reservations specialist, front desk, and concierge all went out of their way, hands down, to give us top of the line experiences. Which included booking last minute reservations at best restaurants!!! I wouldn't stay anywhere else in the French Quarter!!
The Hotel was very beautiful, the staff was very nice and courteous, the rooms a little small but comfortable. The bed and pillow ultra comfortable. Fun bar, decent restaurant.
I could nt believe the fact that they would not give you not even a complementary small bottle of water, while in the mean time they would sell the same for almost $3.00 in the gift shop.
I thought th staff was very rude. We arrived early before check in we were told we would get a call. After a few hours we went back to the hotel and asked if the room was ready and was responded very rudely we would get a call.
I like the style of the hotel in that old hotel feel. You could see the history in the main lobby
My room was out dated and the bed was old. There was marks all on the wall paper, the trim was coming off, and the room was cramp
The location and the staff. Service was excellent.
The room was old and tiny. Everything cost something there, even a pitcher of water. They wouldn't provide one to us. The parking price was exorbitant. I believe they make people pay for the bar downstairs and the location. Nothing about this hotel was worth the money. I won't stay there again.
Friendliness and helpfulness of the staff.
Door handle on my room had not been upgraded, and the door would not open. It took 4 trips down to the lobby plus the manager coming up to my room to fix the problem. A real hassle. Also, thermostat broken, and I nearly froze to death in my room. Would not recommend this hotel.
Great location, amazing old but extremely clean hotel
Room service was good but very expensive. If you can, go downstairs and dine in some five star restaurants and it will be the same price.
