Downtown location, close to restaurants and activities. Friendly, helpful and efficient staff
Rooms updated but small, adequate for my business needs. Onsite restaurant, excellent food and service but is pricey.
Parking is free, good news, finding a parking spot can be difficult but attendant is helpful, may have to park 1/2 block away.
Location & Price are great! Good breakfast included with hotel stay.
Had to switch rooms b/c of a grainy picture in tv and shower stopping up. Also, b/c of warmer temperatures during this winter season the hotel decids no to offer heat in the rooms...WTF? IT STILL WAS COLD AT NIGHT!
Good location for getting into NYC. The breakfast was pretty good. Employees were very friendly. Room was clean.
Bathroom door did not close and some of the walls had paint/wallpaper peeling off. Vending machines were all either non-functioning, didn't take bills, or were not well-stocked. We ordered a cheese pizza when we got in for a quick bite to eat and it was possibly the worst pizza I've ever had, especially from a restaurant. A frozen pizza would have been better. Our neighbors rolled in around 2 AM and were loud and woke us and kept us up until about 5:30 - 6AM when we finally had to call the front desk to ask them to do something about it and even then it still took a while for them to quiet down.
- Good complimentary breakfast - Decent gym facilities - Convenient free shuttle to the train station and airport - WiFi fairly fast and reliable
I was put on a floor that was renovating (maybe all floors were renovating). As a result, the entire floor looked really run down, it smelled like paint, and it was loud.
I asked for a "quiet" room and ended up next door to a group of women who were clapping, cheering, and in general having a good time. I don't mind people having fun but at 1:00 in the morning I really wanted to get some sleep.
I had low expectations based on reviews, but rooms were clean and spacious and recently renovated. Wifi worked fine for me. Staff were friendly and attentive. Good value for the money. Maybe I just got lucky this time, but nonetheless I'd stay again. Fine for a night.
The area is a bit dicey, but not so much so that it should prevent you from walking to the train station, etc.
Clean! Helpful, nice staff! Checked in the minute I got into town. Didn't feel rushed out on checkout day. Super close to ptudencial center-got more than my money's worth!
Place has an amazing location from the standpoint of access to mass transit; however the specific location is in a transitional neighborhood. I was confirtable walking there with my 18-year old son, but could imagine most women would not be
Tissue-thin walls. Heard everything from violent fights in adjoining rooms, to loud moaning sex. We were there five night and only one night was reasonably quiet Place seems to cater to not-so-great clients who are incredibly loud, late into the early morning. One of my worst stays from that standpoint
Complimentary breakfast and WiFi
Found a glass vile with white substance in plain sight. Not clean, not family safe. If I didn't get in at 1am I would have requested a new room
Free shuttle, free breakfast
The shuttle to/from EWR is free but incredibly inconvenient. Lack of hot water WiFi very slow
Staff seemed overwhelmed, felt targeted in some cases for being a young black male
Although I inadvertently booked a smoking room by accident, I asked if We could be moved to non smoking room, the front desk said we could not be switched. The smoking room smelled disgusting. this hotel needs to start using FEBREEZE. The sheets on the bed smelled like a dirty ashtray. Couldn't wait to get up and take a shower and leave. Bed is also old and there's a ditch in the middle. Old sheets as well. Really??? I would expect more form a best western across from NJPAC. This is my second time here and the first time was just fine... After this time, not sure if I will ever stay here again. Will try the Marriott-court yard down the road on our next visit to Newark.
Hot breakfast, proximity to Newark Penn Station, free shuttle pick-ups and drop-offs to Newark Penn Station, staff friendliness.
Wifi wasn't very good, but not a big deal.
Helpful staff, willing to answer questions and find answers for us. Breakfast was very good.
I didn't get a discount for my AAA.
Bathroom was grubby and could do with a good paint, bath especially looked dirty
The staff was friendly and helpful.
I stayed on a non-smoking floor and when I got off the elevator at my floor the entire hallway smelled of pot smoke and was greeted by an entourage for a hip hop group headed down stairs. The hotel was clearly dated and could use a renovation but overall was not too bad.
