Staff were very friendly, and went the extra mile, turning down the covers and displaying my daughter's stuffed animal nicely on the bed. Location view of the waterfront is beautiful. Beds very comfortable. The first night we stayed there the parking lot was completely full, including all handicapped slots and we, with several others had to park on the street with no shoulder.
True sleeping comfort and water view. Shower head to high for short people and tub bottom was very slippery.
The hotel was very clean and the accomadations very nice. All the Staff were very friendly and the breakfast was great. Audrey the assistant manager was fantastic helping us with directions and information about the area. When our time share let us move in a day earlier than we were scheduled to she helped us cancel one night at the hotel thru Kayak. We highly recommend this hotel Thank you Audrey and staff for a very enjoyable stay.
My husband is a Hilton Honors Gold Member and we have stayed at many Hamptons. I must say this one was exceptional. The staff were all wearing the same Hampton branded shirts so it was easy to identify who was an employee. Everyone had a kind word or can I help you attitude. I can't say enough about Amanda who took care of our room. She was so incredibly friendly and we didn't want for anything. This was the very best experience we have ever had at a Hampton. We will definitely stay here in the future when we come to the Destin area. Everything was top notch
Location was good, staff was pleasant. Hair in the bathroom tells me that the place was not clean!
The a/c was not cool enough in our room. We complained, but it did not improve.

The staff greeted us very nicely and they were really friendly. Next morning when I went for breakfast, there was only 1 omelet so I asked lady if she can bring more and she said there is only 10 mins left so no more breakfast. That is really rude. I went there 10 minutes before the closing of cafeteria and I was refused for breakfast.
The maid service staff was exceptionally friendly.
Hotel room is clean and comfortable. Nothing extraordinary but above average. Breakfast is very satisfactory with eggs, sausage and bacon, bagels, etc. nice.
Great breakfast. Good location. Nice rooms.

Their thoughtfulness in making sure that my daughter had a room where there was currently no vacancy. no
Great staff, comfortable bed, clean! Can't think of anything.
Clean and as expected
I liked that the rooms has a DVD player, refrigerator, and a microwave. The lobby will amenities like DVD rentals (free of charge) and the workout center. The large heated pool was nice, because the weather was so cold and gloomy. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was clean, but there was some thing dated about the color and layout. It was muggy in the room, and you had a choice of making it extra cold, and the mugginess was gone, or room temperature with all the mugginess. The rooms facing the big pool had nice views, but they crank up the music at 9:30 (even on a Saturday) and it doesn't end until 10pm at night, so no sleeping in or taking a nap during the day here.
Friendly, helpful staff. Comfortable bed.
Location was nice as well as the pool with beach access. The staff was friendly. Everything was good except that I had to call twice and go to the front desk to request them reset the wifi. None of our devices would connect and everytime I called, they said they would send someone up right away to fix it. The day we checked out they finally fixed it.
Our over all experience was great! The room we had was in the 300 range, which is closer to the view of the pool. Hence it's loud if you have small children it will be loud at night til 10pm when the pool closed. I recommend the family with kids or early sleeper get the higher floor. Our room was loud so the representative in the front was so nice and awesome. Her name is Morgan and she is friendly and helpful. She helped us get a room with less noise. All and all we enjoyed our stayed and it was good Mimi vacation we had. Not much disk-like depending on your lifestyle and what to expect.
We had a patio that was beach view when we opened the door we could hear the ocean waves roll up on beach. Great hotel for family: the beach is beautiful great pools & hot tub. The restaurant had great food & they had movies you can use for free. We will be back. We had a great time!
The staff was very friendly and the hotel was right in the water. We had a balcony with a view of the pool and ocean. They also had a movie rental section where the movies were new and free. We went over to Destin which isn't far at all and the water was so much prettier and the nightlife was much better. I'm the future, I will probably stay in Destin for those reasons which the hotel has little control over.
The beach access was great, we really enjoyed waking up to a beautiful day right in front of the ocean. The pools were also a favorite to my family. They had activities every day for my young children to do, and they had plenty room for everyone to feel comfortable and not too tight. The access to the free beach chairs and umbrella were a wonderful addition. They also had free bike rentals. I wasn't satisfied with my room location. I was told i was getting an oceanfront room with a private balcony ( which we did) however, it was on the third floor and we could barely see the beach above the sand dunes. I would recommend to get a room from the 4th floor and above if you really want a beach view.
The resort was right on the beach, but there are literally dozens of other resorts right on the beach so that's not saying much We killed one cockroach and saw another. The wifi never worked in our room. The bed was like sleeping on cement with a downy layer on top and worst of all, when we told the front desk about these problems (twice!) they said I needed to talk to a manager who wasn't there the first time and didn't even care the second. Not accountable for their failures AT ALL! There are literally dozens of other hotels nearby I would never stay there again.
We are a young family with a 3 year old and a 5 month old and decided to take a weekend trip last minute. A lot of surrounding hotels were booked full so we went with the Wyndham and it all worked out. Our first room was on the ground floor and unfortunately had some small roaches. After voicing our concerns, the Management quickly rectified the situation by offering us another room. The second room was very clean and had everything we needed. The hotel offers two pools, (one with a small waterslide for the kids), free DVD rentals with a current selection, free chairs and umbrella on the beach, an arcade, and a gym. Our 3 year old had so much to do she didn't want to leave. We watched a pod of dolphins from the balcony and enjoyed our time at the beach before leaving. They also let us use the pool for the rest of the day after we checked out. Overall, I would say minus the setback of the first room it was a perfect stay. The staff and management were above and beyond helpful in taking care of all our needs.
Right on the beach! View was beautiful! The rooms on each end are on the outside of the building because the stairs wrap around. We had one of those rooms....and since it is actually outside I guess the weather or humidity has made the door have a big gap (killed a roach while we were in there ~gross!) also our refrigerator did not work. (Also downstairs by the bar and pool area the trashcans have a bunch of roaches!)
The beach access is great. Beach umbrellas and chairs are great. Beach staff very helpful. Pool is nice. The location is great. I checked in with my family, we went to the room. Once I opened the door I was hit with a musty smell, come to find out it is due to the leaking toilet. I will tell you more of that in a bit. After putting up the luggage, my wife went into the bathroom and found some one else's clothes in there!! I am not sure how house keeping cleaned a room and left clothes hanging on the back door you can not miss it, it is a tiny bathroom. At this point my trust in a clean room is gone, how do I know if the sheets were changed or the rest of the room cleaned up. The main door to the room did not close tightly it is loose when you touch it, this made my family feel unsafe, the backdoor handle is also very loose (about to fall off), again not feeling safe compounded by the not feeling clean. I used the phone to call the front desk and complain and handset did not work, It only worked using conference speaker. As for the toilet the floor kept getting puddles, the toilet was leaking from the base, I had to place towels around it to keep from my kids and myself stepping into leaky toilet water and transferring to the rest of the room. I tried to talk with the manager that night but she was not in and the front desk staff told me "they can send a tech that night to see if they can fix it or wait until the morning to talk with the manager" (I had just driven 8 hours from Orland heading home to Texas, I did not want to stay up half the night with a tech in the room). I went the next morning to talk with the manager and was told she would not be in until noon or so. By this time I had given up - I was only staying two nights and wanted to enjoy the beach before getting no the road for 11 hours heading home. I will definitely not go back there. I stayed at a Hampton Inn on the beach in Biloxi for only $80 and it was great. I spent more than $225 a night at this place that carries a great name Wyndham. Wyndham Management should be aware of their rooms and have them fixed. On a last note, my children got to see a drunk man escorted out of the pool in the evening while families were watching Zootopia on the Pool screen, that was eye opener for them as well as for many other guests that night.
Breakfast not included
The layout and design
The beach & grotto The breakfast was a little pricey, most hotels we stay at include free breakfast
The view from the room was great Staff was friendly Convenient location The hallway are creepy The tub needs updating now! The green door need to be painted another color Smelled like cigarettes and air freshener in the hall and elevator BAD PARKING not enough spaces guest room doors slamming shut all night
the resort seems pretty old...
I liked the view and closeness to the beach. I didn't like the fact that the house keeping staff could not speak English and made it very difficult to get the room cleaned in the proper way.
Waterfall bar Dirty and small rooms
I loved that it was right on the beach, comfy beds, fridge in room, decent restaurants on site and within walking distance, awesome pool and grotto bar area, laundry room on site, heated pool for night time, grills to use on beach patio, would definitely come back!!! DO NOT EVER GO ON 4th of JULY WEEKEND!!! There is a HUGE, very weird Christian cult that comes every year. There were at least 200 of them, doing baptisms in the ocean all day, and at night was just trying to walk to my chair with my boyfriend to have a drink, listen to music, talk, look at the stars, and had to walk through a huge gathering of them all kneeling in rows staring at the ocean silently--thought they were looking at fireworks or something at first but noooo. Felt weird to have to walk through them but too many to go around. Pick another weekend and it will be great! Also, they make you check out at 11:30 and want you to turn in your wristband, so if you want to stay that afternoon, hide them and tell them you lost them. You will have to pay $10 a piece but worth it if you want to enjoy rest of day
Not much Smelled, bath tub wouldn't drain, light shades broken and old
The location to my personal destinations The entire property is unstaffed and spread too thin to accommodate the occupancy during my 8 day stay. Breakfast area was not clean and never a suffice amount of food to support the guest. The outside propert lights in the parking were burned out or never turned on even after I advised the Manger or General Manager of the unsafe conditions at night. The staff although very friendly had the "not my job, go tell it someone else" attitude. Too many times we had to go off site for the "Free Breakfast" included in our pricing. Housekeeping was always it or miss, to inconsistent for a property like this. I would not recommend this property for a stay in this area. Too many other options available until this Hotel makes some changes or trains additional stakeholders.
Very nice and restful at a very reasonable price!!
Breakfast was good. Scrambled eggs and sausage were a nice surprise. Orange juice was bit watered down but drinkable. Coffee was very good. Room was comfortable and smelled clean. Slept very well. Not enough table/shelf space for our stuff. A little extra table would have been nice. The toilet paper they are using is absolutely horrible!!!
Good location, excellent price, great breakfast, courteous staff The mattress was worn out and uncomfortable.
I got such a great deal on the room! I loved that it had a pool and hot tub. I didn't use them this trip, but maybe I will on another one. The bed and bedding were great! The Wolfgang coffee was so much better than the usual hotel coffee! The stains on the carpet. It looked clean though.
I liked how close it was to everything. No balcony from the room.
Location, towels, vending machines, price, TV and channel selection, pillows Greeted by a faint smelly odor in the room as if the guest before us was still there. Made us uneasy about the quality of the cleaning that was done.
Staff was great Location was good Price was good Room is good not great but it was great for a quick two day trip Overall I will stay here again! The breakfast isn't good Need more options
Friendly staff, excellent breakfast (the mini omeletes were a nice surprise), very comfortable room, good location in Destin. This is the forth or fifth time we have stayed here and we always have a good experience. Just like the last time we stayed here last year, the toilet paper is really horrible--just falls apart. But this time we brought our own TP, and so problem solved.
Friendly staff & excellent breakfast Mattress had soft spot on one side as if the springs had failed.
The hotel was very clean and the bed was super comfy. I would stay there again when I visit Destin next time.
Clean easy to get around They hogged the beach with there pricey umbrellas and didn't let us into the gym because we had a child with us therefor we couldn't work out the stay because we had a child.
Our oceanfront suite was very impressive! It was modern, comfortable and romantic. It met all our needs!
High cost of room service for basic items
Location In room safe and refrigerator were not operable and had to be replaced. Upholstered furniture is stained.
I like the size of the room and the staff was great! The only thing that made is not as good was the floor was wet and we had to wear shoes while on the carpet because our feet would get sticky from the carpet and dirty. The toliet was dirty and there was some mold arounf the bath tub.
rooms were large and comfortable. Beds were very good. Beach view was great, shopping and golf nearby was a plus. satellite tv was down Friday evening so unable to watch television
The place is clean although a bit outdated. It has all the necessary amenities and a huge fridge in the room. Had a flat screen TV, and free muffins, bagels, and OJ/Coffee for breakfast. Overall a good value for the cost especially so close to Destin and to the state park with campgrounds. The only negative was the night attendant lady (middle eastern or Indian region) was very aggressive with us. She called us at 2am to state that we are walking. Yes, that's true, we did walk to the bathroom and around the room, but we were not jumping up and down or being ridiculous. We also were not children or adolescents. What's worse is that in the morning I went to request a first floor room to avoid this and were told by what I assume to be the manager that it would be fine to stay where we were. So far so good until the night shift lady came on shift and actually forewarned us as we walked up to our room to not make any noise. So, if you plan on going to the bathroom at night, or need to get something out of your bag, you may want to not do this at night at this particular place. She's really awful and I think forgets that she is in the hospitality business. Either that or she hates the night shift.
Close to Destin. A bit pricey for accommodations. No back up generator when storm knocked out the power. Four hours with no ac wasn't too much fun.
We checked in late and left early in the morning. Had an efficient check in, the room was clean, and we felt we had a fair rate. King sized bedroom for 2 adults.
We were surprised by newly the remodeled rooms. Hotel was much better than the negative reviews would have you believe but it is as nice as the other hotels in Niceville.
Very courteous staff. The pool was a nice size for kids...clean. The breakfast was somewhat lacking...no cooked food.
Staff very helpful. Clean facilities.
If you want a resort or luxury stay, not the place. If you want a hotel priced fairly and on the main road, this is it. Pros: renovated, fairly priced, friendly, conveniently located, full cable TV (not limited chain hotel programming). This hotel is recently renovated and looks nice. It isn't a luxury resort, so don't expect the bells and whistles of one. Check in was easy and the staff is very friendly. Room is exactly as I expected, new and comfy. I had no issues with the hotel or room. The bed is comfy enough but not the best there is, like a 4-5 star Hilton. But it is not cheap like a Motel 6. The bathroom looks nice, but the shower has a cheaper feel to it. None of these shortcomings is a deal breaker. The only bad area I experienced was hallway noise traveled into the room very easy. It sounded like my door was open and I was part of the conversation. Turing on the AC fan helped the issue but didn't solve if. Breakfast is complimentary and offers hot and continental offerings. Seating is limited, and I suggest arriving before 8am as everyone tries to eat after 8. If you want to go to the beach, don't walk. It is a little far and carrying everything will be tiring. I suggest going to Henderson State Park. Best beach in the area! And its across the highway from the hotel. The hotel is located in a good spot and easy to locate. I recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in Destin for a bargain price. If you are willing to spend more, then get the hotel with the resort feel and resort price. Cons: hallway noise can be heard, small TV, not beach accessible.
Everyone was really nice and it's a great location for the pricing The gym was a little too simple
I paid $110 (taxes included) for a suite that would've cost me at least $150 at a more popular chain. The room resembled an Embassy Suites with a TV in both the living area and the bedroom. I will definitely be back!! There was nothing not to like.
The room overall was quite nice. I like that I had a fridge and microwave. The pullout couch was nice for the extra sleeping space, especially since I was traveling w/a friend. proximity to the beach and the pool/courtyard area were all great! Was not a fan of the bathroom. No exhaust fan meant it stayed steamy, and of course nothing to suck up any smells. the shower design allowed water to get all over the entire bathroom floor. And lack of usable counter space as well. If the shelf above the toilet was flush with the wall instead of having that 1 inch gap, it would have been helpful, stuff kept sliding and falling through that gap, which was pretty annoying.
We came for our anniversary with the intention of getting a nice room on the beach especially for the amount charged for the room but instead we got a motel like room with an horrible view of the parking lot it took all I had not to busy out in tears.. The staff was not friendly and when asked about changing rooms was told no.. I am very disappointed. Proximity to the beach. Rude front desk staff. Housekeeping chat it loudly in the hallway, so I'm just standing around looking annoyed when you need it to pass through. Called before booking and wasn't told hotel is under renovations. Need it 10 extra minutes to check out and was told it was OK bye front desk. Minutes later front desk called back and tells us it's not OK. Get third call saying it was OK... all of this for 10 extra minutes.
Being right on the beach with a balcony facing the ocean was great! Heated pools and hot tub were nice to have since we came in winter months and ocean was cold. Also liked having a full fridge and microwave in room. Noise, there were a lot of families with children staying near us. You could hear them in the halls running and above us. But I guess that's to be expected in a hotel, just felt that I could hear them well.
On the beach. Could use an update
Proximity to beach. We were placed in a handicap room with walk in shower, the shower over flowed and entire bathroom floor was flooded every time we showered. We had to call multiple times for extra towels to dry the floor. The channels on the tv kept going in and out which is frustrating when you're trying to watch a game. Thin walls and loud guest made it impossible to get a good nights rest. Will not be returning. Front desk was beyond indifferent to all complaints.
Hotel room weren't in same building as advertised.
The staff was friendly. If you stay ocean side, the view is beautiful. Our mattress was hard and not comfortable at all. The shower head dripped and we had to hold down the handle to flush the toilet. The refrigerator noise was irritating while trying to sleep. The hallways aren't carpeted, so anyone walking by made excessive noise. We won't be staying here again.
Nice and fresh looking decor, breakfast was delicious, overall a great time
Location Breakfast and elevator
Staff was super attentive toward myself and my best friend. They made our stay better than expected and will most likely return. Door was often jammed.
The staff was super nice and that is very important to me. The hotel was fun and cute, very family friendly. The veiw is amazing. The price is affordable. Overall we had a great stay and would stay there again. The kind and cheerful staff really left an impression on me. My favorite staff member is Dan. He sets up the umbrellas and chairs on the beach. He is very nice and hard working. We had a large group and he rearranged our umbrellas to make sure our group could sit together in the shade. The front desk people are extra nice too. The beach waitress was friendly and happy as well. While the rooms were clean, the maids totally skipped our room repeatedly. We called the front desk and asked to have our room cleaned, and they sent them up, but we always had to call. It wouldn't have been a big deal, but we were out of towels and sand gets everywhere. We didn't want to sleep another night in a sandy bed, so we decided to call. To no fault of the hotel, but important to note, we went in June and the ocean was full of what the locals call "June grass" it made the water green and it was gross to swim in. The grass stuck to everything. It had a light, moss like texture. If I go back I'll go in July.
View, room, location.beach chairs Towels, both beach and room, breakfast,no close place for dinner
Is was a very enjoyable trip to Walton Beach our stay at your facility was great we had a great breakfast the staff was friendly and helpful our room clean and comfortable No dislikes
The staff was friendly and helpful. This hotel sticks out like a sore thumb along the Blvd. The color, decor and overall condition of this Hotel is poor and distasteful. Our room was clean but yet in need of a renovation. I was so disappointed in the quality, for the price that I actually inquired elsewhere for a room, and was just eat the price of this room. Unfortunately all was full on the strip. In my younger years of staying in hotels during spring break, this would have been ok, but with a family no!!
Upon arrival our reservation couldn't be found. Eventually we received a different room and accepted after traveling all day. After 5 minutes of being in the room, I called and cancelled the rest of the stay due to how dirty the rooms were. Still haven't seen my refund for the cancelled nights!
Location was great. We were in walking distance to the boardwalk. We brought a kayak and paddle board and put in at the hotel and paddled around the harbor. The staff was very friendly. They have done some renovations to make the room and property more modern. Enjoyed the balcony overlooking water. It's an older property and while they have done some updating, it's still has a way to go. The bathroom tub and commode were old making it feel dirty even though it wasn't and it was very small. It was fine for one or two nights but I probably wouldn't want to stay there longer. The breakfast was ok. It was cereal, muffins, yogurt, choice of breads and pastries and instant oatmeal. Wasn't great but wasn't terrible either. I would stay again.
Great view of the bay! It's walking distance to all the restaurants and bars. You can wake up, go to your balcony and watch boats leave the harbour. Staff was great. The building is from the 50's. It's not in bad shape cause it's been remodeled to fit in but if you are looking for super schnazzy, this might not be for you.
The view and location was great. Very run down facility. Stains on ceiling, smelled musty and was very dirty overall. Found 2 cockroaches in the tub one morning, linens smelled sour, no liner for ice bucket, no plugs for tub or sink, security chain on door was ripped off, and cracks around door were so large (specifically under the door) that I had to roll a towel up to block the hallway light from coming into room at night. Not worth the money I paid. Very disappointing.
I loved the location on the harbor. It was very peaceful and the balcony let in plenty of afternoon sun if you didn't want to go down to the pool or small beach area. The continental breakfast was nice and though it didn't have any hot options, it had a good selection: hard boiled eggs, yogurt, Jimmy Dean sausage biscuit, muffins, cereal, etc. The staff was very nice. The beds were comfy. It was also a great location to walk to various restaurants in the area. The bathroom was very small and had some mildew spots at the ceiling. We also had a problem with our toilet running consistently which didn't make for as restful sleep as we could have had. The pool and beach area were quite small but seemed mostly sufficient for the size of the hotel.
This hotel was awesome!!! Staffing made it even greater, they took such good care of us while staying for our honeymoon. Will we visit again, of course! They even gave us postcards to mail to our parents & guest - outstanding! Breakfast was good, just add real breakfast meat.
Now my review is based on knowing this is an older Hotel and staying here several years ago. I'm not sure how long ago but they remodeled the Harbor side rooms with hard wood floors, the beds were surprisingly very comfortable, and a nice touch to an older hotel. We stayed here mainly for the Harbor view of the New Years Eve fire works. It's in the western part of Destin. Staff was very friendly!
I've stayed at this hotel at least 5 other times in the past. The location is great and the hotel facilities are good. Great waterfront pool. A nice continental breakfast is available and includes the Sunday paper. Hopefully, it was just our room but the toilet never worked properly and the A/C broke down the second day (stayed 4 nights) and someone fixed it but it broke down again in the middle of the third night...hot September night. We had to "negotiate" a new room with the front desk and they gave us a waterfront room (ours was city view) which regardless of the view was totally upgraded unlike our city view room. The cost was not that different. I don't think the customer service was all that great either. I like the hotel and might stay again but only if I can afford a water view room. Ours water old and distressed but still not a cheap stay.
Nothing at all, needs updating!everything Everything...
Good location that's convenient to numerous points of interest in Destin. Enjoyed the option of the pool or the private beach that was on the harbor. I appreciate the fact parking was available without issue despite the fact the hotel was sold out. An older property that definitely shows its age. Bathroom area was cozy with older fixtures. Furniture was worn to the point that it should have been replaced. Beds had some mileage on them. Despite the convenient location, I'm not sure I would stay here again unless the price was more reflective of the age and size of the rooms?
location could walk everywhere on the harbor Had to leave and pick up daughter at airport . Sea Food Fest. visitors had taken over parking lot and we had to park one half mile and walk to INN with baggage and back to get car in moring
The desk staff was friendly in all cases but one but he seems less interested in us as customers. Then on the other hand one young man was great and very cooperative. The bathroom facilities in the rooms were very confining for two people. Great place to just relax and nice location. The bathroom was tiny.. Traffic was hard to safely exist at times. The facility is older but well kept. The continental breakfast was lacking. The facility was great but breakfast was a bust.
Extremely clean, very friendly, and overall just a great place to stay.
Location is outstanding. ...staff was very nice.
Accommodations Cafe in Lobby Friendly Staff Nothing.
The rooms were very clean and the service was excellent. The pool area was one of the best I have stayed at.
Rooms were not very sound proof. Could easily hear activities in other rooms.
The location of the hotel was great. For the rate of the rooms, a continental breakfast should have been included.
The hotel was very clean and comfortable. Convenient to shopping and restaurants. Beach access was nice. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful.
everything was awesome. i would definately stay here again. the suite was great and homelike. the breakfast was awesome as well. i would definately recommend embassy suites to everyone.
The complementary breakfast, the exquisite atrium, and proximity to beach were the best points of this hotel. The bed in the bedroom was too high. The hideabed was too hard.
Free Buffet...close to beach
It was nice that they have " happy hours" included. The water is very close and convenient. Overall very nice experience.
I stayed here for Memorial Day weekend with my husband and a couple friends and we had a great time. The place was very spacious and clean. We would definitely stay here again. Only complaint is you have to cross a major road to get to the beach but they do offer a shuttle service that runs every 20 minutes.
Everything was great. NA
Overpriced for the distance and navigation to the beach.
Aaron at the front desk was amazing. Very friendly and knowledgable.
I'd go back in a heartbeat. The room had a gorgeous view of the Gulf and was very clean. The pool and hot tub are right outside with island music playing. We went at the end of the season so it wasn't crowded. 2 minute walk to the very clean well maitanted beach. It's also about a 5-19 minute drive to all the action in destin like water sports. The resorts has gorgeous golf courses, ship, restaurants...it's a gated secured community and I felt like I was driving through some rich neighborhood. Lol definitely recommend it!!! Especially in September after the summer season cuz the weather is still perfect and rooms are cheaper. Lol perfect for romantic getaways and families of all ages. We stayed at the luau tower and they didn't have room service. Only a pizza delivery service. But that's ok
Loved the beds!! So comfy!! The view was nice, the pool was nice too. My husband and I plan to return next summer. That housekeeping doesn't clean the rooms daily. Kind of a pain to make your own beds and buying a broom to sweep the sand off the floors ourselves. We were supposed to be on vacation. And they wanted to charge $55.00 to send housekeeping to clean.
The view Outdated, felt very cheap
The attraction is a walking distance. Everything was great.
The location was ok had a nice beach and downtown sandestin was a nice atmosphere. Have stayed at Sandestin 3 times now I liked the resort until this stay. The pool was filthy with all kinds of cups floating or sunk in pool a diaper had come apart on the side and it stayed there all day. We asked about getting someone to clean the pool and there was no one to do it (supposedly it was there day off). We stayed 3 days and the pools were dirty the whole time. No coolers were allowed at the pool so you had to buy water or whatever you wanted to drink from them. Didn't like the fact they charge a resort fee plus a cleaning fee on top of your nightly rate. You cant get a cup of water with your meal just bottled water waiter said they do to much volume to give a glass of water with your meal. Overall just thought they take advantage of whoever is staying on there property. I love the Destin area but will find a new place to stay.
Perfect location!! Everything you need is right there or super close. We loved the Sunset Bay Cafe! Delicious food with an amazing view.
Rooms are a bit dated
Beautiful property! Room was very dated. Needs some repairs. Room was a long way from the beach.
This being a great Location was the only thing that saved this review. The stench of mildew was overpowering the room. It left everything feeling damp and musty. A good suggestion would be to install a dehumidifier in every room. I could not walk on carpet without shoes on. I will not be going back nor do I recommend to anyone. Hope this review helps someone who is considering this hotel.
Very worth the money for one night before checking into our condo. We will definitely try to stay here again next year. Check in was easy Breakfast was great (waffles, biscuits, cereal, pastries, coffee, juice, etc) Rooms mostly Looked and felt clean Beds comfortable Staff very friendly The floor/carpet had my bare feet dirty after just a little bit of walking be around barefoot, but I'm not sure that can be helped because so close to the beach. Wasn't a huge deal, We just kept our shoes on once we realized it. It won't keep us from staying here again bc the rest of the experience was great.
Price. Inclusive Brkfst. Location to Beach & other amenities Staff was friendly & courteous The Room Service started off OK but slowly declined. I.e. No bed making unless told, no fresh shower mat. Room seemed somewhat damp. Nothing dried out very well especially bathroom. Brkfst items declined after 9am on certain days. Poor ventilation thru-out. A nice heat lamp in bathroom would b ideal Condition of room clean but ceiling & curtains need upgrade
Beds were comfortable. Room was clean. Nice buffet breakfast. Clear pool. 1 minute drive to free parking for beach. 6-7 min walk to the beach from the hotel. All the staff were very nice. 5 minute drive to Destin with no traffic. 15 min drive with traffic. Short drive to the grocery shopping at Publix. Short walk or drive to restaurants. Room door opened to the open hall way.
The location is great, very close to the beach (we walked there several times) the staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were a bit smaller than we anticipated ( had double queen) we had 2 couples and it was a bit cramped with luggage and coolers. However for a quick stay the price was great and convenient for a very fast beach trip.
i liked the short breezeway type hallways poor parking lot
All the staff that we dealt with were polite and helpful. Rooms were clean for the age of the hotel. Close to public beach and restaurants. Easy location. Shower heads were weak and had a very wide spray. It was difficult for my 6 year old to wash her hair.
how close it was to the beach the construction in the arae
It was very clean and right off highway. There is no real dining room to have your breakfasts so you have to grab food and go back to your room. It was very hot as hallway have no a/c and the one elevator in whole building was very slow and hot! Also it is not "right across from ocean" as your view is other buildings actually on the water.
-Quick entry/exit process (seconds for each). -Staff responded immediately to an issue with the TV and repaired within 2 minutes. -Bedding was reasonably comfortable. -It was clearly either a smoking room, or the previous tenant smoked in the room. There was no mention of that. -Small detail, but it seemed odd to not have even a small trash can in the bathroom. -Could use some modernization (mini fridge/microwave/coffee pot).
The beds were great! The continental breakfast was good. Sometimes hard to get out of parking lot due to traffic but manageable.
Great location with a water view from the top floors. Building showing its age despite a modern updated feel. Some peeling paint in the bathroom.
Location is great, the resort is beautiful it is within walking distance of a lot of nice places. Hidden charges, I was charged about $180 over my bill no one could really tell me what it was for beside taxes. If I had known that I would have never stayed at the Resort, that is crazy. I stayed my first and last stay there. It is nice just can't stand $180 in hidden charges.
Everything was perfect Checkout time was early!
I liked everything about the resort. It was in very good location to the malls, restaurants, grocery stores. Whatever you needed wasn't far at all. Everyone was super nice at the resort & made you feel welcomed. We will moat definitely stay here again!
The location was excellent, right on the beach. Room was clean and comfortable, and the view was wonderful. Would have liked to stay longer, but had to leave for prior commitments.
Love the close proximity to the beach and great things for kids to do! We come every year and love sundestin. Bar and restaurant are great, and we love the service on the beach! Staff is very accommodating and friendly. Only complaint was at check in they told us the door to the balcony was broken and maintenance would be by to fix it. The door handle was completely off, and there was no way to secure the door. If my husband and I were traveling without our five year old it would have been no issue. Maintenance never showed to fix the door at all during our stay.
Cheap Ants in the room
location, convenient to good restaurants and nightlife. WiFi connection hotel needs to improve on landscaping and upgrade the rooms
price was good
Only thing we liked was location. Dirty, dirty, dirty! We didn't like the fact that we had to wear shoes inside. Even after a shower, as soon as we walked on carpet our feet turned BLACK. The light above sink kept going out and there weren't enough outlets to turn on lamp that was in room. There were too many appliances plugged into an attached plug in outlet. We came back from beach and maintenance was airing out our room. They said we left coffee pot on and it burned the outlet, wires, microwave, fridge. When we told them we made sure twice it was turned off ( I'm OCD about these things) it was our word against theirs. They didn't bother telling us that we were being charged 236.00 until we checked out. The comforter was filthy, tub and floors filthy. Also, the wifi only worked about 10% of the time.
For the value in fall you can't beat it. It was within walking distance to restuarants and the Harbor Walk shopping. It is across the street from the Harbor. There are all kinds of way side parks to go to the beach. The beds have been updated and are super comfy. A little older facility but still nice for the vaiue. In fall it was only 60.00.
The only thing to like about this place is the location and that there is a Waffle House in the parking lot. When we first got to the hotel, we could tell that it was going to be dirty. The parking lot is a wreck and suffers from no upkeep. The lobby had a very musty, awkward smell to it and is very confused in terms of decor. The only thing worth looking at were the fish on the walls. Check in didn't take much time at all and the lady at the desk was friendly. When we got to our room, (214) it as well had a musty wet smell to it that was covered up by the smell of Lysol. The floor had huge stains everywhere, there was thick dust everywhere specifically on the headboards, there were small roaches in the tub, and to top it off, the maintenance man was not finished in our room (even though we were told it was ready). He had to run an extension chord to the lamp next to the door from the 1 outlet between the beds just so that lamp would work. There were no available outlets in the room... We couldn't plug in our phones next to the bed because the 1 outlet had lamps plugged into it. Wouldn't have been a problem if there was at least 1 light on the ceiling, but there wasn't. The bed was absolute hell. I woke up feeling worse than i ever have in years. The pillows were flat and had no support unless you used 3. Yes, 3. The bathroom towels were really small and very rough... The next day, the safe in the room (that we were NOT using) randomly started beeping over and over. We hadn't touched it or even looked at it untill this started happening. Finally we had enough and called the front desk. They sent someone up 20 minutes later and fixed the problem. No apology was given... Needless to say, we will never stay at this hotel again.
It was in walking distance to the boardwalk at the Destin Harbor.
Swimming pool, soft bed there was no outside picture of the hotel on the website and I felt a little deceived about where I was going to stay. The exterior of the building reminded me of one of those sleazy hotel and there was a guy hanging out his door nude trying to speak to the children.
