I stayed in this hotel last week and I had great experience, I travel twice a month in that area and I will stay in North East hotel only.
We stayed here just for a quick overnight on the way home from Canada. It was super clean and comfortable with a full breakfast. I would reccomend this hotel to anyone. we didnt get to swim in the pool but it looked very clean and nice. Everything was well kept.
A very good hotel. Quiet, clean, comfortable. Breakfast on Sat. and Sunday was great!
Its brand new opened hotel near by i90 interstete. rooms are clean and specius. swimming pool is clean and warm. breakfast is excellent. staff is excellent and helpful. i will definetly stop at this hotel bz its very convient to get back on road.
This hotel is brand new. The hot tub was lovely! The pool was warm. It is August and my husband and I were the only 2 people in the pool and hot tub. There are an abundance of towels , lovely tiled and clean bathroom and rooms. We drove about 10 minutes into the downtown and had a lovely Italian dinner at Rizzo's , a local resaturant. Then on our 10 minute ride back, we stopped and had ice cream at a Dairy Bar!
My husband and I stayed three nights at this hotel for both business and a mini vacation. For the most part, the stay was fine. We checked out at 10:15 on a Tuesday morning, turned in our keys, and were told we were checked out and had nothing more to do. We live 3 hours away and shopped and toured a bit on our way home. Upon returning home at 6:30, we realized we had left our laptop and laptop cooling pad in two small tote bags in the corner of the hotel room. Upon calling the front desk to inquire, we were immediately referred to the general manager (who was next door at the Super 8 motel that he also manages...I'll leave it to the reviews and pictures on this site to speak to THAT hotel.) When he called me back, I was already on my way to retrieve my laptop...a 6 hour round trip. I was informed that they would be happy to give me my 'luggage' as soon as I paid for the room....$* plus tax. When I questioned the manager, he informed me that he could not clean the room because I had left items of value and he was legally not allowed to touch them. Therefore, he could not sell the room for the night and therefore, I was responsible for the price of the room. I called Holiday inn Express national headquarters and they informed me that this was not their company policy. The woman I spoke to at the national headquarters called the hotel, ostensibly to solve the problem for me. While I waited, I had decided that I would just suck it up, pay for the room, collect my laptop and chalk it up to poor customer service. However, when she called me back, she informed me that the general manager had said I wasn't telling the whole story, and that I had left clothes on the bed and electronic items in the room as if someone was still staying there. Apparently it is company policy to leave a room alone if it is clear someone is still staying there and assume that they will be staying for another night. Never mind that we had checked out and turned in our keys. Thi...
Clean, spacious room with refrigerator and microwave. good price. Newer facility. decent hot breakfast included. Amenities: pool; fitness room Could not control temperature in room though and bathroom door would not lock. Aside from that, great stay!
So I got to my hotel room, as I walked in, I step on a rusty safety pin that was embedded in the carpet.. The room seemed clean but that was definitely not true either.. After staying the night in the room, I woke up the next morning with my fianceè, and we had 5-10 bug bites on each of us from the bed.. After looking at them, and doing a little research, we found out they were bites from 'bed bugs'. Extremely disgusting. I will never stay in another holiday inn again. I wouldnt even take a free room at this point. I recommend to never stay in a Holiday Inn. Get a quality hotel.
I absolutely love this hotel. Friendly staff, very clean, warm indoor pool (great for those cold Northwest PA winters), and the most comfortable king-sized bed I've ever slept on. I've stayed there three times so far and would not hesitate to go back again.
I was unsure about this hotel because we reserved it as a stop on our way home to Iowa from Maine. The hotel is right off the interstate which made it's location ideal. The staff were incredibly friendly when we checked in. Our room was clean, renovated in modern style, and the bed was comfortable and inviting. The room came with a mini-fridge and microwave. The sample toiletries were very fine quality and had a faint smell of cinnamon. This hotel bed was the most comfortable I have ever stayed in and the LCD tv was quite nice to watch in bed. The internet connection is one of the better wireless hotel connections I have ever used and the comlimentary breakfast was delicious! I did not know the area but the guy at the front desk recommened a great place to eat and the town down the road from the hotel was quite pretty and historic looking. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay there again. They forgot o clean the coffee pot but that was so minor with how wonderful the room was.
Very outdated and rundown. The batteries were ripped out of the smoke detectors, the dresser drawers were broken and falling out of the dressers, the couch in the room was ripped open with the stuffing showing, and overall not very clean I'm not normally one to complain but the red carpet inn was very disappointing.
It was inexpensive. I could park right outside the room. It was clean. It was quiet. There was a fruit bowl in the lobby and you could take and apple or banana. The room's physical condition was shabby. The picture above the bed had broken and the frame was messed up. The tiles in ceiling were warped. Several pieces of cove molding were missing. There was an odd odor.
Small, neat room, friendly staff, right off hwy, quite on other side, breakfast was voucher for McDonald's Noticed some dirt on the walls and doors but overall clean.
Room appeared at first glance to be neat and clean. Staff were cordial. My family and I arrived late at the motel after a long day and were welcomed by drunk fighting bikers in the parking lot. Left the next morning covered in bug bites. We do not recommend this place.
Nice rooms, close to the airport, A/C worked great! no comment here. I have no complaints.
It is newly renovated I stayed for 4 nights No business support (printer etc) Odd room layout (desk chair hits the bed) Room faced the interstate (100') very loud This is a hotel/motel so 1st floor rooms are outside entry Got a good rate through booking.com - RedRoof rates were $20-30 higher per night
The front desk staff was very friendly and accommodating during my stay. They provided me with a corkscrew for my bottle of wine and silverware for my takeout. I like the large work area that is available in the Superior King room because I work when I travel. The hotel is easy access from the highway, but GPS does not recognize the location and may lead you in the wrong direction. My bathroom had an odd smell during my stay, and the shower/tub combo was not in as good condition as rooms from previous stays. The cable channels are not very good even though it is supposedly expanded. Wifi works well for laptop and small devices, but is inconsistent with my Wii, so I'm not always able to watch Netflix or Hulu. Guests are always very noisy at inappropriate hours. In the middle of the night, a woman was yelling to get into her room and she used profanity. Also, very early in the morning, someone was trying to rally people to get up. Not a good choice of restaurants to eat at because mainly fast food.
Very clean and well maintained
Great staff, they were helpful with any questions I had. Nice accommodations for the price, close to the colleges. Really close to the highway, so make sure you get the backside of the motel if you do not like car noise. I couldn't hear anything on the backside compared to the front facing the highway.
Clean, nice room. Good for price. No WiFi. Slow service at front desk. No roll out cots available. Loud noise due to highway.
Quiet, despite being near highway. Clean. It isn't worth $80/night unless you are desperately tired. More like a $50/night hotel.
It was very nice quiet, clean, and it made the weekend perfect for a one night stay. Size of the bathroom, was a little noisy, and I felt they charged to much for what you got.
The rooms were recently remodeled and it showed. Our check in was fast and easy. Our room was clean and comfortable and a good value for the money. Our cats got to stay at no extra charge, too! I should have called the front desk, but the guests across the hall were having a party and people were in and out of that room until 5am. I told the front desk agent at checkout and she's sending me a voucher for a free nights stay. I thought that was very kind of her.
Megan and Joyce are amazing! Their customer service is excellent.
The breakfast was fantastic! Rooms were very clean, and very comfy. Check out time was 3pm, would liked to have checked in when we got there at 1. It wasnt a big deal but would have been nice if we would have known the check in time ahead of time. Not enough towels on the pool area.
Very clean. Staff was very friendly. I was beyond impressed. They also offered a fantastic breakfast. Pool could have been a little bigger
Great staff Room could have been cleaner. The sheets on one bed had a hair and the shower had some mold.
The staff were excellent rooms very clean access off the interstate was very convienent Did not get a good nights sleep due to the constant truck noise off the interstate.
The staff were very kind, and the rooms so very nice. I've never been to a hotel that smelled do pristine.
A clean, well maintained hotel with spacious, comfortable rooms. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Nice indoor pool and hot tub. Breakfast should include more fresh fruit. In-room A/C unit was very loud.
Friendly staff VERY THIN WALLS !!!!
Everything was clean and the staff was amazing! We got a free upgrade, which was very nice. My husband and I will be returning.
My "boyfriend" and I stayed here one night just so we could get away from everyone and have some privacy after a HORRENDOUSLY stressful week including the cancellation of our planned vacation to Washington D.C. This hotel was only about 45 minutes away from us. We personally know the Erie area well, but the hotel is super easy to get to if you're from out of town. The room was clean and smelled clean as soon as we walked in. It was nicely sized if you're looking to just relax for a night or two (room 329 is where we were; PERFECT view of a marina and State Street and honestly, the sun rise was really pretty too. It woke me up but the sun beaming on me made me smile). If I were staying more than a couple nights, I'd probably want a bigger room. The bathroom, again, nicely sized but the layout itself was weird with no room between the sink and shower. But whatever, not like you're going to be dancing all around the bathroom of a hotel, right? Had plenty of room to do whatever (straighten hair etc.) I'd ask for more towels, next time. Just a thought. The bed (mattress, linens, pillows) were clean and HEAVENLY. Neither of us wanted to get out of it in the morning (which wasn't really morning because check out isn't until noon! BONUS) Seriously, SUPER comfortable bed. I'll stay again just for the bed. Not even kidding. The bar downstairs was nice and convenient. Good selection of mixed drinks, wines, and beers plus the food from the restaurant looked delicious. A pretty large, top shelf martini was $10.... and they pour them STRONG. Hotel WAS under construction while we were there but did not affect our stay at all. Heard someone walk in the hallway once but they sounded like they'd had some fun at the bar lol. Didn't hear our neighbors, don't know if we even had any. This hotel is RIGHT on the water and it was windy as heck when we stayed BUT I can only imagine that when it's warm out (and not November) that it's BEAUTIFUL. OVERALL, I will ABSOLUTELY stay here again and without question, I recommend it to anyone and the "boyfriend" agrees. There have been a few times since where one or both of us has said "We need to go back to the Sheraton." It was just a nice little escape from the world. And it felt really great to exhale.
I didn't not like how noisy the room was. You can hear people walking in the hallways. You can hear the people next to you, above you, and below you. Very loud for the price
View was awesome Windows could of been cleaned better
It was a perfect setting by the lake. People were kind. They charged me for incidentals which said that it would be on my credit card the same day and did not receive it. Also, a worker was interfering with an argument my girlfriend and i were having and basically not letting me speak to her.
The Hotel was very nice and clean ... you cam use the sky bridge to go to the convention center.. No early morning free continental breakfast...its a paid extra breakfast...and paid new parer too.....$12.00 extra for parking
Wonderful value. Wonder rooms and incredible breakfast buffet. ..... And my kids loved the room and pool too
Friendly staff Very comfortable bed Good breakfast Noisy guests in the room above but not while we slept.
Great breakfast included.
It was clean and convenient. I had booked on line and because health issues came up and we had to come home a day early, the front desk said there was no way to get our money back for the last night and there were no coupons for another nights stay at a later date.
Convenient and affordable My bed was gross. There was hair in the sheets and the comforter was stained with who knows what. It looked like all they did was make the bed after the previous people checked out and didn't bother cleaning the sheets and comforter.
Nice big room Very noisy. Beware. This hotel is across the street from a casino and lots of noisy/drunk people. Our room only had a shower and no tub so we couldn't bathe our kiddos
way too much money per night.
Nice hotel - clean, comfortable, friendly staff, quite, convenient.
Our room was near the elevator. And Everytime someone would get on there was a loud ding noise.
Clean. Well maintained for the price. Very loud hotel! The walls appear quite thin as you can hear doors closing in the hallways, others walking on the above floors and staff cleaning the adjacent rooms in the AM. This hotel is not for light sleepers or those who want a quiet getaway.
Hotel was nice, clean, fee breakfast. Staff doesn't know what they are doing and not helpful. When we arrived at the hotel they said we were already checked in and had to put us in a different room then when we checked out they said we are already checked out. Didn't ask us how our stay was and they were kind of rude. I would government the staff at -10 Came back from the casino at 11:30 had to park at the store across the street cuz there was no parking. Staff didn't even care. Eggs were terrible. Waffles were good Don't think I would go back.
Have stayed at Baymont several times. Always clean. Friendly staff. Comfortable beds. Good value for the money. Parking lot. Should have been bigger.
New and clean.... Bathroom was small, sink and mirror was in outside the bathroom...
Everything was good.
Complimentary breakfast and hot beverages throughout the day. Some of the staff were very friendly and helpful. One of the staff did not allow us to use a microwave and we were forced to eat our leftovers cold.
I would have liked to have more TV options. There was not a lot to watch such as movies to buy etc.
clean room with great shower facilities. pool was clean and not too much chlorine to burn eyes. hot breakfast was good with eggs, both scrambled and boiled, along with bacon and other standard continental fare. hotel was quiet as sat back off the main road in back of a strip mall area. Had no problems or complaints.
Very affordable/high value! Rooms are small but tidy. Towels were perfectly clean. Breakfast is very good; make-your-own waffle, scrambled eggs, Canadian bacon, bagels, yogurt, and cereal, juice, and coffee - all included! The "gym" is just a broken treadmill and a working elliptical. Very close to Mill Creek Marketplace and close to Presque Isle. Fitness Center is just a broken treadmill and a functional elliptical.
-great location. Right by a gas station -easy to find -pet friendly. Pet rates are affordable -hot breakfast was filling. They has eggs, sausage and waffles -friendly staff -non smoking hallway reeked of cigarettes -Tiny rooms. Hard to move around when you have a baby with you -rooms were musty -AC was blasting. If you turned it up to make the room warner then it got too hot -slow elevators. It's easier and quicker to take the stairs
Breakfast was good. Carpet was dirty and bathtub was clogged. Yuk
Clean. Friendly staff.
Location, price Breakfast
We stayed here before a college visit to Edinboro University. The hotel was easy to get to and our room was ready when we arrived. The front desk was very friendly. It was very helpful that the Hampton provided breakfast - one of the reasons we choose them. The price was great and I would definitely stay here again. The hotel was close enough to the highway that you could hear trucks at night. I would recommend getting a room on opposite side of hotel from highway. In addition, our room window would not shut completely so we also had an issue with a "whistling" sound during the night. The size of the beds was listed as queen but they seemed a little smaller than that. Not sure if the bed size listed was accurate.
Convenient to splush Lagoon water park. Easy to access to room.
Clean, comfortable and convenient with friendly staff and wholesome breakfast N/A
The hotel is conveniently located close to the freeway, shops and restaurants. Staff was friendly and quite helpful. The rooms are a little dated and room very noisy due to doors slamming and other guests talking on the hallway.
Clean, spacious, and modern room. Loved the full side refrigerator. We were iin a room right above the pool. Definitely avoid those rooms. It's loud in general. But, the person at the front desk allowed a group of kids in the pool @ 3:30 in the morning and they woke us up. The breakfast setup was weird. It was a crowded setup and made it difficult to get my breakfast ready.
New hotel, roomy & bed was very comfy. Will book again.
Everything! This hotel is new and fabulous! It is incredibly clean and trendy, the staff has been wonderful. My husband and I didn't know the breakfast time and slept through. The girl at the desk Alexis did not hesitate to get us breakfast anyway, and she did it without us asking. We extended our stay by two days because we could not leave yet!! The beds are beyond comfy with the best sheets and pillows ever. We booked two queen beds and our sleep has been amazing. The suite kitchen is beautiful and the room is large. The tv is hd and big as well. The bathroom is so clean and the shower fits two. The hotel is green and lovely. And all appliances are stainless steel and great brands. This place is wonderful and we will DEF be back. Everything was wonderful.
We really enjoyed the friendly staff and the bed was comfortable. It was central so there was so much to do outside the hotel. The overall hotel room needed updated. There was paper pealing off corners and the overall look wasn't great. The spa tub shouldn't be considered two people and there was only two jets and many rules and instructions with the tub. There was a huge spider in the shower and the mini fridge wasn't very efficient. The pool was open until midnight but there were so many children there that it wasn't relaxing. If you are looking for a romantic weekend, this might not be the place. there was a water bottle sitting there that was $3.25 and if we drank it we would be charged. After all the money that was spent, you'd think they would give you a complimentary bottle of water. We simply went across the street to Walmart and bought a gallon of water for less. It wasn't anything special. Just a basic hotel. We won't be staying again for that price. We could have stayed somewhere much better for less money. Other than the friendly staff and how central it was, it wasn't worth it. It was a big disappointment.
For almost $200 per night I expected a comfortable bed. He beds and pillows were rock hard.
Location - close to main road and shopping Staff weren't overly friendly, only one out of many we ran into greeted us. Room was musty, water was like warm for shower. No breakfast included and paid $189 cad. Just overall we could have went to a budget motel for same experience. The Baymont down the road was incredible all around for a wonderful experience. Will try to go back there instead.
The staff were welcoming and friendly. The room had a small kitchen with a full sized refrigerator, microwave, small stove and dishwasher. We had condensation dripping from a vent on the ceiling in the bathroom, just in front of the toilet on the 1st night. The fitted sheet wouldn't stay on the mattress so we'd wake up in the middle of the night because we'd be brushing up against the bare mattress. The bed cover was weird as well. It was almost like a mattress pad and a coverlet that had a small foot wide fold over that the pad fit into. I'd never seen anything like it. The TV had a weird smear across the whole screen which was noticeable and was never cleaned during our 3 night stay. And like another guest noted, the left elevator was slow and it didn't seem like the door close button worked at all since you had to wait a very long time for the door to eventually close. We won't be choosing this hotel again on our next visit to Erie.
Was able to check-in earlier than 3pm. The room was a nice size. The hot tub was great! The complimentary hot breakfast was very good. Check-out at 12pm was very nice to have. The shutterfly free book coupon was a nice perk too. Full fridge/freezer, stove top, dishwasher & sink was great to have in the room. Room was listed as a "queen" suite, but we only had a "double/full" bed, not a queen. The pool water was too cold to be enjoyable. You had to get out right away. The left elevator was very slow. The door close button wouldn't work. It made noises when running - a little bit scary. Back sidewalk was not salted so there was a lot of ice on it. My mom is handicapped and it was very difficult for her to walk on the ice. We tried to help her, but we were afraid of falling ourselves. No ice machine available to guests.
Beautiful place.... I will stay here again. The complimentary breakfast wasn't stocked and tables were not cleaned.
Hotel is great and great Location staff are terrible Staff Andrea is very rude. Still waiting for a return call from the manager
I had reservations for a room with 2 queen beds, but they gave me a room with 1 king bed. I asked to change to the correct room, but they still only put me in a room with 2 full size beds. They claimed they were queen beds, but they were not. Also, the refrigerator in the room did not work and I left a iPhone charger in the room and called a couple of hours after checkout, but they claimed not to find it. The room was definitely overpriced and the staff was not very helpful.
Staff was friendly and the breakfast good. In the middle of the town and a parking garage! The room was dirty - spiderwebs, dusty behind the bed and the pillow inside was nasty!
Location No air conditioner . Ask the front desk twice if there was anything that can be done . They said put the thermostat between 60 and 70 it works better that way !! What it was 90 degrees in the room very uncomfortable not acceptable
Staff Very dirty and in need of updates. Lampshades had stains on them. Old tv, filthy behind furniture. Parking lot in need of security cameras.
The front desk had event flyers. Free breakfast. -the room smelled rank -the room felt dirty -the TV was older than me (I'm 22). -breakfast was free, but did not taste good at all. Ended up going out to eat breakfast elsewhere. -our first set of room keys didn't work the first time when given -the whole place is just outdated and falling apart -I honestly considered sleeping in my car as an alternative -We ended up buying a cheap comforter set from the local Walmart because the room and the bed sheets smelled so bad (even after leaving the windows open for hours and using a decent amount of Febreeze) -the parking garage was dirty and wet and sketchy -we were on the 6th floor and there were no screens on the Windows. Someone could easily just fall or jump out.
Nothing the air conditioner was not working in the hotel. It's was over 90 outside and 85 or so inside. The bathroom barely had any lights and the ceiling was like caving in and looked like someone tried to cover it. The pics of the hotel weren't accurate. The hotel air conditioner wasn't working. The bathroom was disgusting. The pics on the website didn't accurately reflect the actual hotel. The parking garage was horrible. We didn't even stay there and I finally got my money refunded. We left after 20 minutes. We will never stay here again.
Cold room hardly slept
very loud guests! No hot water and we weren't even compensated in any way. Pretty much told oh well by front desk staff.
First, we checked in and there was already someone checked into the room. That was weird. Second, the carpet looked as if it had been set aflame in places. Poor lighting. Tvs from 1998. Furniture from the same period. There was a party patio on the floor below us which meant screaming drunks until 2am. Parking garage was less that ideal in terms of security. All in all a poor excuse for a hotel.
parking garage below nothing really.
Location Heat/AC didn't work, huge hairball in shower drain, garbage from previous guest left over, spiders in the room, very outdated technology, coffee in the room was terrible, on site parking was very crowded.
Location Everything needs updated!
Every thing was adequate. The room was huge and clean. The bed was super comfy. Almost an entire wall of windows gave a nice view. The staff I spoke to were all very nice and helpful. The continental breakfast was decent. It was nice to have the parking lot below the hotel, as well. The room was a bit sparse, compared to what I usually get for the same price(no microwave, or fridge, a single desk chair). The water was slow to drain from the tub and built at my feet.
Was easy to find right off interstate There was only cold water in the shower in the morning. Lobby staff gave no remedy or applology. Only offered to take $10 off my bill after I specifically asked. Could hear interstate traffic all night long. Breakfast was exclusively carbs. No protein, no dairy, no fruit.
The shower had no hot water never going there again
We've used this hotel the last few years to break up an 11 hour drive to Kentucky. It's inexpensive, convenient, and the staff have always been cordial. It could certainly use a facelift ...but you're not going to get that at these rates.
Convenient to the highway. Staff very pleasant and easy check in and check out. The floors felt tacky and the bathroom was not as expected. You would figure that they would have toilets that would accommodate people that have had hip replacements. The shower, shower curtain and walls had mold . Plus shower had hair in the tub..
