9.3 Excellent
Pros: The room was excellent and the welcome wonderful. Breakfast was superb. Really enjoyed the walk in shower and the overall comfort of the room.
Cons: Parking. We asked specifically for a car parking space but we had to use a public car park across the road. Very close and easy to get to but not what we wanted. The restaurant we used, one of several in the High St, was not good at all. The food was over cooked and badly presented. Taste was wrong too. Also they had a wine menu with hundreds of wines. This was silly, confusing and pretentious.

9.7 Excellent
Pros: I don't usually write reviews. We travel extensively. This family owned and operated Inn was the highlight lodging of our 2 week journey through France. Very quaint beautiful village and inn, most complete spacious and comfortable rooms and shower, lovely breakfast area and the best breakfast we had! The price was too low, I insisted on paying more but she would not accept. I cannot over recommend Logis Saint Martin ! Fantastic stay.
Cons: No negatives but is in the hills above Nuit Saint George and Beaune about 5 minutes by car. Not a problem.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was a beautiful gem of a B&B. Location is in a small, quiet and very pretty village. The owner is charming and welcoming. Our room was very clean and exceptionally comfortable. The breakfast was carefully presented and delicious. I recommend this place without reservation.
Cons: Nothing can be improved.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Location was very quiet and lies in a small village without much infrastructure on the central place. The lady of the B&B told us about a nice playground and rest area at the side of the village where we took our supper and our little one could play after a long driving day. She lives in a different house across the street. When we were there were only 3 rented rooms. The room was very big and tidy. And could even accomodate two others upstairs which we didn't need. Breakfast was very nice! Everything was done upon wish (if could name it in French :-)), so we had a perfect start towards our next driving day home. Highly recommended, very pleasant stay!
Cons: A little hard to find. No air condition, but a fan. Payment only possible in cash.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly people, interesting old house in a central position, a most delicious breakfast.
Cons: Nothing

Pros: We really enjoyed our stay at Logis Saint Martin. Our host was warm, friendly and very thoughtful (even though my husband and I don't speak French at all). The room was spacious and very, very clean. We also enjoyed the breakfast very much - french bread are pastry are delicious ;) If you come with a car, there are car park lots just around the house and it takes around 15 minutes to get to Beaune city centre.
Cons: Nothing!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Everything was excellent! Breakfast very good!!! Thank you !!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our room was spacious and beautifully maintained. The host Paulina is super friendly, and rightfully so, takes pride in her establishment. Great breakfast with lots to choose from. Glad we had the time to spend 2 nights at this great accommodation in a small village in the magnificent Burgundy wine region.
Cons: Everything was great.

Cons: Nothing
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly land lady Very pleasant stay
7.5 Good
Pros: The situation was good. Good sized room good bathroom.
Cons: Breakfast on. Asked the night before if we wanted eggs for breakfast. No eggs. The outside picture of logis Martin showed nice sitting area. It was awful no where to sit full of weeds.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: One of our best experience we felt like home with our friends
Cons: We would like stay more time
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was a very intimate experience where we enjoyed meeting the other guests for dinner. The new owners are doing a superb job to make this a very beautiful place to relax and stay. We had a delightful dinner which was delicious, and our dog Harley had a fantastic time playing with Shadow, the owners dog
Cons: I didn't like the fact that on entering the property the electric gate failed to recognize that my car was not clear of the gate, and this resulted in the gate crashing into my new car. I have been left with three very small dents in my otherwise pristine car which I am not at all pleased about. If I had caused any damage at the property, I would have immediately taken responsibility and would have offered to pay to fix things !
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A true hidden gem. But not far from all the places you wish it see. Although staying put and reading by the pool with a glass of wine from their wine cellar is a wonderful way to spend a day too. The owner recommended a restaurant about 10 kilometers away in a beautiful little spot that was so very “this is why I come to France” great food and amazing prices and service. We will be staying here on our way back to Frankfurt that’s how much we enjoyed it. Plus it’s pet friendly.
Cons: If they could control the weather that would be great!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Rooms are clean, new swimming pool is excellent during warm days, breakfast also nice and Corinne and Jacques are very nice and helpful ! The rooms with airco were needed during our very hot stay !
Cons: Nothing negative to say, only a very small suggestion to add a central light in the meursault room. But this is a minor detail...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hosts offer an absolutely amazing dinner with multiple courses and a wine bible. They also take the time to help with everything (e.g. make a reservation for a local activity) and are really friendly and make time for a nice conversation.
Cons: A small fridge would be nice for the amazing local wines (and some lunch), but we didn't miss this much.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We really loved our stay here. The room was very nice and clean. We also had a nice little outside area where we could sit with some privacy. The garden was very nice and peacefull, with places to sit down/ lay down and relax. The pool was clean and relaxing. And the owners of this chambre d'hotes where so nice, very friendly and very helpfull. 10/10 experience =)
Cons: -
9.5 Excellent
Pros: LOCATION...This is located in a small French village in the country. Surrounded by farmland, trees and fresh air. We picked this location because we could not decide which city, Beaune or Dijon, to lodge in, so we stayed in-between and drove the car to visit. We booked dinner at Chambre d'Hôtes L'Orée du Bois 2 of the nights we stayed and it was top notch service. Corine & Jacques are excellent at dinner presentation and explanation of the local food, wines, and cheeses. Attention to detail is not lacking. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. Breakfast is served as a traditional French style breakfast with fresh bread from the local bakery, and fresh eggs from their chickens, fresh squeezed juice. Our Hosts took extra time to share the best places for us to visit and tour and then booked the trips for us and made our dinner reservations. This is quite helpful for those of us visiting France and not speaking French! We are learning, but cannot speak the language yet. I highly recommend this place for couples, it is quiet and adult oriented. No children or pets allowed. We WILL be back! Thank you Corine and Jacques!
Cons: Don't forget that you will be staying in the COUNTRY. Wifi is available, but not always a strong connection. We drove our car so it was no problem for us, but if you want to come by train and use public transportation, this will be a problem. Everything else for us was perfect!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: What a beautiful chambre d’hotes !!! After a long journey on the route de soleil from the south of France, you take the exit and you are immediately relaxed: along the grain fields you arrive in an oasis of peace and tranquility. Two very enthusiastic people, who together ensure that you lack nothing; there is a swimming pool, a cool wine, air conditioning in the very neat rooms, different seating areas, wide views, chirping of birds, chickens in the back garden: “la douce France” Before leaving, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast in the garden under the umbrella! Thank you host and hostess for the warm welcome and care, it was wonderful!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A really peaceful setting and a fantastic welcome from the hosts. Dinner was the highlight for us, a truly unique experience. We loved it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything is perfect there. I’ve spent nights in approximately 40 Chambres d‘Hôtes all around France and this was the very best. The hosts Jacques and Corinne are amazing, they are super friendly and they offer everything a guest could ever wish for, such as homecooked meals (better than in any restaurant) and wine tastings within a little boutique on premise. Awesome place!!

Pros: Marsye treated us like family and was very generous with her time and advice. We stayed three nights and each morning at breakfast we were greeted by return guests and friends they had brought along. That is really all you need to know, It is a lovely property with great amenities and location, right on the Grand Cru Route and about a ten minute drive to Beaune. Just somewhere you would like to stay a week or month!! Even had a beautiful pool for relaxation.
Cons: We found no negatives.

Pros: Small and personal bed and breakfast conveniently located on the road between Nuits-Saint-Georges and Beaune. Very short drive in to Beaune. Private access to spacious room. Heating worked well. Tea and coffee tray with a few extras in the room. Interesting shop linked to the B&B with some good local wines and other items. Swimming pool and lots of space to relax in the garden which will be fantastic in the summer after a hard day wine tasting!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Spacious room, tastefully decorated, lots of little touches like apples on the pillows and tea/coffee making facilities. Bed very comfy, breakfast excellent. In warmer weather the grounds would be lovely. Good location as a stop over if your heading to the Alps or the South of France, would be a perfect location for exploring Burgundy for a weekend or longer. We've started discussing when we might come back!

Pros: Small hotel in a sleepy village. Easy access and attentive helpful service. Very large rooms were a bonus when travelling with pet dog.
Cons: Adjacent restaurant is separate from hotel which only serves breakfast. Had to drive to local town to get a choice of eatery as no other options at the hotel location.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: We were looking for a stop on the road to the south. Nice and quiet, have a very good restaurant next door. Staff is very nice too, and the room are clean and big.
Cons: Would love to have a coffee machine in the room. The church across the street will replace the alarm clock... which was not appreciated by my wife :-)
7.5 Good
Pros: Large room in small Burgundy town. Handy to the small villages south of Nuit Saint George.
Cons: The air conditioning did not work nor did the wireless. Owner wanted to charge me for an extra night when I explained why we must leave in that nothing worked. The temperatures in Burgundy were over 100 degrees and sleeping upstairs in an old building was not restful at all. Then when the wireless did not work either I explained we must leave and she insisted I pay for the 3rd night, even though I was checking out.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The best breakfast ever in France. Nice older couple with a passion for hospitality. A perfect stop halfway the Netherlands and Spain.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Les Cistelles, in Saint-Nicolas-lès-Cîteaux, is situated in the heart of Burgundy and offers a great base from which to visit the multitude of high quality wineries, villages and medieval towns or simply as an excellent stopping off point on the way south. Genevieve and Roland, owners of this splendid chambre d’hôtes, have created the perfect idyll where you can relax and unwind in a lovely peaceful setting. In the evening guests are invited for an aperitif on the terrace prior to sitting down together for dinner (outside, if it is warm enough). The food is sourced locally, including the garden of the house and is lovingly prepared by Genevieve and served by Roland along with wines which accompany each course. The food is of an exceptional quality (like the wines) and the hosts are very attentive to all of the quests’ needs. My wife and I have stayed twice at Les Cistelles and both times we were delighted not only by the food but also the company which, in our case, included Belgians, Dutch, German, French and English, who the hosts encourage to mix together; conversation is good. There are no tvs in the rooms but the wireless reception is excellent. The rooms are excellently furnished and very clean and guests are made to feel very much at home. It is unquestionably the best chambre d’hôtes my wife and I have ever stayed in and many of the guests we met were regular returnees. Accommodation and dining costs are also very reasonable. Highly recommended.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff were excellent, well trained, and very attentive. The breakfast was very good. It was peaceful and with beautiful views of the surrounding vineyards. The little river running through is very nice with a nice patio to enjoy reading a book or sipping a drink. The bed was very comfortable. It was close to Dijon so easy to find places to eat not too far away.
Cons: During lunch break the office closes and access through the restaurant area to the back patio is not accessible. Also the tables inside are not accessible during this time. Although there were some brochures for local attractions, I did not really see anything on Dijon. The shower door would not close properly. The room only had one window that was a little small so it was not too bright during the day, but this did not detract from the beautiful environment.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Appeared to be newly renovated externally although the rooms seem a bit tired. Helpful staff (don't speak much English) and an excellent restaurant next door (not part of the hotel so needs to be booked separately - they were happy to do this). At the start of the Route de Grande Vins just south of Dijon with a lovely drive to Beaune past the vineyards. Minutes off the motorway.
Cons: It would have been nice if the swimming pool had still been open (early September).
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Exceptionally warm welcome from owners; lovely buildings and grounds; newly refitted bedrooms; impeccably clean throughout; excellent attention to detail
Cons: Coffee from machine.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: GREAT DECORATION OUTSIDE & INSIDE
Cons: Lack of Air Conditionning in our room
6.0 Good
Pros: Physical facilities are very good. Rooms are fairly spacious and interestingly varied. Location is excellent for the Route des Grand Vins - just a wonderful north/south strip of land.
Cons: On a Friday evening the (small, corner of room) bar had closed @ 18.00!!. There was no resturant in operation - new owner is investing in new rooms, but not maintaining facilities. Obviously a property developer, not a hotelier. Worse still, he'll probably do well - if he hasn't destroyed the repeat visitor base (such as us). Fortunately there was a resturant immediately adjacent to the hotel. Good layout, good local food, and one of their wine specials that night was a St. Aubin (a lesser known gem of Bourgogne) - plus good local staff. Without this happy coincidence this review would have contained several expletives. Net effect. Good room and physical hotel - but even better resturant nearby. Might visit the latter again, but wouldn't take another chance on the hotel. Just have to pay the "new" higher prices and go to the Castel des Tres Girards up the road near Chambolle-Musigny.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very spacious and clean
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The room was spotless, large, extremely well-appointed, and even had two showers and two toilets, perfect for a busy family! Everything was tastefully appointed and the service and staff were polite and efficient. Especially nice was the pool/spa area, extremely clean, modern, and loads of fun for families as well as couples. We did not reserve a table at the on-site restaurant, which apparently is very popular and was full. There are not many locations nearby in which to have an unplanned meal, but we managed a simple but tasty dinner in the next town (Nuits-St. Georges). All in all a very memorable stay at a true four-star hotel with class! --the Wentzell family from Marietta, Georgia USA
Cons: nothing was less than perfect!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Had great time with family in spa . They even brought a small bathroom for my two year old . It was cute . It has a great restaurant onsite which had a very good vibe selection . Very close to many great vineyards . Loved it
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Big comfortable sunny room - felt no need to leave it. Fabulous restaurant with thoughtful delightful staff
Cons: The only tiny thing is the absolutely state-of-the-art coffee machine also provides hot water for tea but the tea tastes slightly of coffee - no problem for me because I always travel w a small kettle.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Warm n cozy n very clean

Cons: Dinner restaurant definitely to improve
6.3 Good

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Best ever bath. Fabulous food & wine by the glass. Beautiful good dog walking country. Parking.
Cons: Honestly nothing -well maybe a separate kettle - fab coffee machine but not so good for tea
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Spotlessly clean, modern furnishings, attentive staff
Cons: Insufficient room extras coffee, tea etc. If more than two coffee capsules required then apparently an additional charge.

Pros: I would describe this Chateau as a B & B. This is a charming country Chateau in a quiet setting with a delightful French breakfast served each morning. To visit the towns of Nuits Saint George's and Beaune this is a perfect location. An easy drive for us to visit several wineries in both towns.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was amazing.
Cons: The roo.s could have had facilitated coffee making
7.5 Good
Pros: A very interesting and well presented old building with a variety of standard of room. Our basic room was adequately resourced and clean; the swimming pool was a welcome addition during the exceptionally warm weather we experienced. The host was charming with a wealth of local knowledge and very attentive to our needs, recommending local restaurants in Nuit St Georges and making reservations when required. The delightful, partly shaded grounds within the quad are thoughtfully provided with benches and tables, particularly appreciated by guests in the evenings.
Cons: As is often the case in older properties, there is no air conditioning and the room was hot during our stay. The proximity to the motorway meant there was a small amount of traffic noise, only evident because we were road facing and had the windows open.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic property, great location. We used for a stop over en route through France and it was perfectly located! Very helpful and accommodating staff - thank you Great pool!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Nice and comfy rooms. Excellent breakfast.
Cons: Deserves some investment to make it even more exquisite.
8.8 Excellent

Pros: Everything, location, staff, beds, but especially Raoul
Cons: We liked everything
6.3 Good
Pros: The scenery is gorgeous set in a small village in the heart of this wine region. Views across the properties vineyard are lovely. Friendly and helpful staff
Cons: It was especially hot when we visited and our room was in the loft of this old property. Obviously no aircon but a fan made it bearable for our two nights. No bar or restaurant at the hotel so this needs to be considered but with one restaurant in the village our needs were catered for
7.5 Good
Pros: Nice stop in the winefields
6.8 Good
Pros: The breakfast was very good however we thought it was included in the price so that was a surprise as well as a disappointment. The view of the vineyard from the back yard was very pretty and they were kind to let us park our bicycles in the garage.
Cons: The room was shabby and feeling very outdated. Very bare minimum in furnishings in terms of quality. Mostly bare, dim walls along with the exposed dark beams in the room (which used to be the attic) made the room not a very nice atmosphere in which to be.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location is excellent. Breakfast is excellent. Host was excellent.

Pros: Large car park. Friendly, welcoming owners. In the countryside. Area to sit out in the sun. Good food. Coffee making in bedroom.
Cons: Could not use debit or credit card to pay bill. On bar to buy drinks. No shops or bar in the village. Was not aware thay did not serve food on the night I stayed, but the lady and man who owned the hotel made me what they were having which was very tasty and supplied me with the local wine which was very nice and they were very kind
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Peaceful and calm, owners very helpful and friendly, will stay there again when on route to the south of France
Cons: A little bit off the autotoute but worth the drive

7.5 Good
Pros: The bed was comfortable and the terrace with table and chairs was a good touch.
Cons: The pillows could do with updating and being more comfortable.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Secure parking, on site facilities for food and drink, quiet location near to good priced petrol and the autoroute. The proprietor is friendly, helpful and manages to cope well with my limited French. Stayed here a few times before and already booked to return.
8.5 Excellent
Pros: Well kept and modest hotel. I loved that each room had a table and chairs to sit outside. Pool area looked nice and there were many welcoming areas where we could enjoy a glass of wine. Service was professional and very friendly.
Cons: could use some art on the walls of the room to warm it up.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff and breakfast were excellent also the grounds and pool was lovely.
Cons: Although there was a fan in the room , it was still very hot, would be nice to have some air conditioning or windows that open to let some air in. Also the pillows were not very comfortable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff
Cons: Bathroom
5.0 Okay
Pros: The breakfast was very adequate with excellent croissants ham & breads
Cons: The toilet wasn’t as clean as it might be. There was no coffee, tea, or milk, only mint tea provided until we went to reception & were given 2 teabags & 2 packets of sugar. The bath towels were small.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We arrived here on our way back to UK from the South of France and were absolutely delighted with what this hotel offers. Lovely rooms with little terrace, swimming pool and wonderful staff. Great meals available and Patrick (think I have remembered that correctly but apologies if not) knew everything about what he was preparing and serving - the most wonderful pate, cold meat and cheese and even brought to our terrace! We wished we were staying longer and will definitely go again.
Cons: There was nothing at all to dislike
5.0 Okay
Cons: The WC had evidence of past use and gave the impression it and the rest of the room had only been superficially cleaned. The evening meal on offer provided a poor selection and so we went elsewhere to eat.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: This was an oasis on our travel down to South of France. Quiet and lovely environment for an overnight stay. Pool area much appreciated after a long drive. Perfect with some tasty small restauration provided by the friendly owners.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect: location (for those who want to “wine travel”) , the place, the room, breakfast... would stay again for sure. Also the owner was very kind and the most pleasant. Lovely.
7.0 Good
Pros: Basic motel style rooms, that where good for one nights stay while heading home. Good safe parking. Pool looked good, but arrived to late to enjoy.
Cons: Worth taking or buying a bottle of wine and snacks to consume on the Terrance in the evening. Though wouldn't like to stay here on a cool rainy evening, if we'd had to sit inside, as minimal windows.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice breakfast and very nice owner. Quiet place in a good location.
Cons: The room is very very small, just for one night is OK. A/C is missing and in hot summer it is a big minus...
5.8 Okay
Pros: Good location, breakfast
Cons: Small room, strange smell in the room, owner did not speak English, she promised to prepare the breakfast outside, but didn't do it
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly host, helped us with lots of things. Lovely clean room
Cons: Nothing
8.3 Excellent
Pros: It was quaint and typically French, surrounded by beautiful countryside. The owner couldn’t have made us more welcome. She even booked us a meal in a restaurant in the village. Breakfast was included in the price, which was excellent. Very good value for money on our overnight stop from Fréjus to Calais.
Cons: Bit isolated. We found it easily enough, but when heading off the next morning, got a bit lost.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly welcome. Excellent breakfast.
7.5 Good
Pros: Breakfast was good and substantial. Proprietor very hellpful with information on local area and restaurants.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The hostess Mme Esmonin was very helpful and friendly and recommended a good bistro in Nuits St George. Spotlessly clean.
Cons: Aircon would have improved a very hot and humid night. There was a fan, but it wasn't adequate. Breakfast was adequate, but nothing special
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Typical French breakfast, location a bit isolated for some but fine for us. Owner very friendly and accommodating
Cons: Lack of air conditioning prevents a higher score.
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very center to the Burgundy region. Good location
8.8 Excellent
Cons: More could be expected of food and service in the restaurant.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location was beautiful and the staff were very helpful
Cons: Dog not allowed in the restaurant and food provided outside of that was very limited. No room service apart for breakfast
5.0 Okay
Pros: Location. Dinner good, sommelier helpful.
Cons: Poor value for money. Pool not open. Reception staff unfriendly and unhelpful. One room noisy at night, other room had smell of drains.
6.3 Good
Pros: The staff were lovely. Location was convenient.
Cons: Very poor value for money! The restaurant has high prices, and whilst the presentation was good the food lacked any noticeable flavour. The room had a dirty carpet, chipped hand basin, a shower head without a bracket on the wall. We were kept awake beyond 3am by the room above in spite of asking reception to ask them to reduce the noise. Very expensive for such a dreadful experience. Definitely does not deserve to be a “Small Luxury Hotel “.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Grounds, hotel and restaurants
Cons: Nothing
7.5 Good
Pros: The overall feel was very good
7.5 Good
Cons: The service in restaurant was not good. There need to be improvments for a restaurant that have ambitions
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the historic feel
Cons: Wait staff could be more attentive.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The grounds are spectacular, beautiful stone floors.
Cons: I think the pillows, and bed could have been more comfortable, one of the pillows very spongy and one too soft, a little investment in good bed linen and pillows would go a long way for the weary traveller. The room also only had 1 small window and no airconditioning so airless.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: We did not like anything about our stay.
Cons: The hotel was advertised as 5 star. The hotel posted seemingly nice pictures of the grounds and a nice pool. The hotel posted nice pictures of food. But none of this was there when we arrived. The hotel was more like a 3 star. The grounds were poorly kept (brown grass and weeds). The pool was horribly maintained and freezing. We could not swim. The bar food was disgusting. The bathroom did not have the amenities one would expect in a 4 or 5 star hotel (no body lotion, no qtips, cheap products). The bathroom was last renovated, maybe in the 80s. The buffet was low budget. They packed everyone into a small dining room. No intimacy. Cheap floor fan in the room for heat. What a joke. All of this for a price that matched a 4/5 star hotel. Rip Off. But the manager kindly reimbursed us for 1 night of our stay and our meals. This was correct.

Cons: Isolated location
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The beauty of the Mansion and the antique furnitures. The breakfast with home mafe jams.
Cons: I liked everything
5.5 Okay
Pros: Friendly owners; secluded, quiet location.
Cons: Very difficult to find via country lanes. No restaurant or bar so reserve early! Rather too rustic for our taste.
5.5 Okay
Pros: Charming, breakfast, large room, parking, man of the house is very nice
Cons: Lady of the house has a constant attitude, all furniture including beds are old but not solid, all outdoor furniture as dirty, difficult to find, no baby bed, no baby chair
