Location-we walked everywhere and where we couldn't, we took the bus. But lots of restaurants, shopping, beach and nightlife within walking distances. I also like the decor and overall look of the hotel. It was clean and the pool was lovely. Spacious room and loved the makeup mirror, lots of light, hairdryer and whirlpool feature of the tub in the bathroom.
The couch and bed weren't the most comfortable and the couch was from frayed and threadbare at the corners. Air conditioning and WiFi weren't that great. I also thought I had an "in" with Kayak when I received that early check in email. I checked that we'd like a before noon check in if possible. We got to the beach at 8am but did not get into our room until 3:15 (check in isn't until 4:00). We were a little disappointed because we had our hopes up, but the hotel was very nice about letting us change for the beach in their lobby bathrooms.
I expected the room to be smaller but it was big and spacious for my small family, The hotel was close to the beach it was a 5 minute drive and the employees were very friendly.
I didn't like that on the sofa bed mates it seems someone peed and the stain and smell were very much present. The whole hotel room wasn't perfectly clean, I didn't mind since I was only there for one night.
Room was spacious as was the bathroom. View of the pool, bay, and Fagers Island was great
They need to do something about the elevators. They went extremely slow. Was the worst when you're trying to carry luggage up and down the floors. Especially with a luggage cart that's hard to steer
The staff was outstanding! This was definitely a nice hotel. A hidden treasure. Definitely coming back for another stay later this summer.
The elevators. You couldn't tell what floor you were on. And the reaction time to hitting the floor button was incredibly slow.
It was a great location, perfect in that it was tucked away, further from the hustle and bustle, but still within walking/very short driving distance to the boardwalk and some really great restaurants and a cool club. Checking in & out was pretty effortless, and when we asked the concierge for two dinner recommendations, one for pizza and the other for a nicer evening out, he was quite quick on his feet. The pizza place was great; when I looked at the nicer restaurant's website it looked a little hokey to me and different from what I wanted so we ended up going somewhere else.
The amenities were nothing special, perfectly adequate. The walls are also relatively thin. Didn't really have any problems until a bachelorette party came to stay the second night and we were woken up several times at pretty random hours by knocking and people talking loudly. I realize that this is not the hotel's fault in and of itself, but definitely affected our stay.
The location was good. And the price was okay too.
The air conditioning didn't really work too well, especially in the bedroom where there were not any windows or circulation. We ended up buying a fan to make the bedroom bearable.
