Pros: The bed was REALLY comfortable! The staff incredibly friendly, heaters were on when we arrived and it was super clean. 8.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice location at the end of Ohakune, just a few minutes from the town. Plenty of parking. Very easy to check in even if arriving late at night. They have nice facilities including a spa and drying room.
Cons: The room was a bit messy but there were already people staying there for a while. There wasn't a TV in the room.
7.5 Good
Pros: We appreciated the gesture of assigning us a beautiful, cozy unit. It was well maintained, provided with dining & bath amenities, and the bed was really comfortable.
Cons: We didn’t like that the area didn’t have late night places to go & grab food. We realized it’s a small town, but in this case, it would be great for the accommodation places to stack some nibbles like cookies or nuts in their units. Also we had some issues with our parking space as it was tucked in a location where there’s some barrier and other cars have blocked the way. There was no one to help so we had to park somewhere else every time.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff. Electric blankets were a nice touch. Spacious little cabin. Handy/effective drying room on site. We were only there for a weekend but the set up was ours have allowed for a comfortable base for a week at the snow.
Cons: That I hadn’t read there was a spa so didn’t bring my swimsuit!

4.5 Okay
Pros: Breakfast was good -However, it was cheaper and nicer in town. The lounge was large and the single/bunk beds were a good size.
Cons: We paid for a private four-bedded room and said we would have 3 adults in there (we paid the same amount as we would have if we had 4 adults in the room). We were told if the fourth bed doesn't appear as it was beforehand (perfectly made) then we would have to pay for the costs of re-making that bed.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A great place to stay and very warm. Great staff that are willing to go the extra mile, and all the facilities are of a high standard. I would definately stay here again. Thanks Team- Goto LKNZ and Check it out!

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Really good facilities. Lounge area was great had everything you'd need. Breakfast menu was great and food was delicious
Cons: Not enough car parks but not too big of an issue as there is on street parking
9.5 Excellent
Pros: location was perfect- close to everything. and the room was always at a good warm temperature which was awesome since it was freezing outside when we were there. didnt have to worry about the temp in the room after getting back from skiing so that was great.
Cons: breakfast could have been alot better in quality and presentation. good selection of breakfast foods but i was just expecting it to be cooked and presented better. would have liked more variety of vegetarian cooked options.
7.0 Good
Pros: We had 2 rooms, one en-suite with private bathroom. It was very good and up to expectations with Microwave, kettle, TV - very comfy. The other room was pretty basic with shared bathroom. The room was clean, very basic with beds and a cupboard. They also had a drying room, which was great for skiers. They also had sauna and hot tub for $6.
Cons: In the room with shared bathroom I expected to have some towels there or at least to be told about where to find them. Some other travelers where noisy at night, I don't mind ppl having fun but there are families too. Mngmt needs to put signs about noise level at night.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything about the actual accommodation was amazing - staff; restaurant; facilities; COFFEE! All amazing. Had a run in with another customer letting her kids run around at 9pm at night when ours was asleep, but that is no reflection on the place itself...just people being inconsiderate
Cons: Other customer said the sign said to keep quiet after 10pm...family friendly should be earlier
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Easy to find and access room
6.8 Good
Pros: 1: the location 2: room is warm
Cons: 1: I was charged 14 days before arriving which is the only one place have this practice during my 10 years with booking website. The condition that the booking cannot be cancelled 14 days prior to arrive does not mean customer has to pay 14 days in advance. I totally dislike this practice. 2: The room is very small and each single bed is also small. 3: the shower water can be changed very quick and hard to adjust some time. 4: They do not clean room and only empty rubbish bin upon request. The staff did not even bother to check if tea bags or milk is enough. For $150 per night paid to this small room, this service is totally unacceptable. I stayed 6 nights with only 2 times empty rubbish bin when asked. 5: The wireless is very slow and my iPhone getting dropped off so often. It also take time to get connected with wireless modem.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff were great about me turning up super late
Cons: I was a bit cold with the one blanket on the bed.

Pros: Friendly staff, very clean and well presented room, comfortable and warm
Cons: Some road traffic noise due to location
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The house catered very well for our group (2 adults, 5 teenagers). I wasn't expecting an ensuite, so that was a very pleasant surprise, and the house was way more modern than it looked in the pictures. The drying room was a god-send and the neighbours were very quiet, and yet we were close to great social facilities. Awesome place!
Cons: Only minor negative was that there was little storage for food in the kitchen because it was so well equipped. We came prepared to be self-catering, so had to do a bit of juggling with space.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: It was our first B&B. The place was very clean and tidy. Nice and quiet area without all the traffic noises. Our Favourite thing would have to be the breakfast, it was absolutely delicious and was a amazing surprise to wake up too. We would definitely stay again sometime.

7.5 Good
Cons: Room 216 smells moldy and when we arrived there was a massive leak through the window. The lovely person on duty cleaned it up but it did it again but not to the same extent the next day. I could be bothered fussing about it because we were not there much but it is definitely something that needs to be looked at.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: The heater was on before we arrived, so it was nice and cosy when we entered. The bathroom was clean and the shower pressure was strong and hot enough. Free DVD was a bonus and we enjoyed it, but they should register which DVD the guests took, just in case some guests don't return theirs.
Cons: We couldn't see any mountain view, properly it was a rainy day. Some parts of the kitchen were not cleaned enough, and the room service didn't put back the dishes that we cleaned, the carpet was not vacuumed and the beds were not fully made up.
7.5 Good
Pros: just right for one night and to go sking
Cons: spa was cold and not clean

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We have booked a family room. Heater is on 24/7 and you are able to adjust the temperature yourself as well, so the room was very warm and comfortable for a late check in and cold nights. It also has HRV system installed so it's good to have some fresh air. The room was clean and tidy. There are some DVDs that you could borrow from the reception for free if you want. Overall, it's a great place to stay! Highly recommended.
Cons: Nil
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The person at check in was very friendly and nice. The motel is on the way to the mountain and not far from town. We had a nice view.
Cons: It could benefit of a heat pump, there was an oil heater which takes a while to heat the place. The room was cold when we checked in. The floor in the bathroom needs heating too, it was freezing.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Comfy bed. Great shower pressure. Lovely and warm
Cons: Would be good if there was a curtain over the back door as the outside light made it bright to sleep.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very warm, room heater on when we got there, very happy with all, thankyou, very much recommend

7.0 Good
Pros: Nice house in a quiet location. Appeared to have everything necessary for a comfortable long-term stay. Definitely a good spot for a large group. Not a hotel-style place, more of a 'book a bach' type situation. Good selection of tea.
Cons: Shower head was broken in the upstairs bathroom. Serious wasp situation in the garden meant sitting outside was a challenge. I think it was wasp season though.
7.0 Good
Pros: Fantastic property. Lots of space. Very secluded. Lovely cat.
Cons: House cat pooing on floor after I let it out at 5am to go to the loo. I cleaned it up.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hubby and I choose Beech Tree Lodge as a base while exploring the area. Because of poor weather we ended up spending more time in the house than we planned but honestly I didn't mind cause it was VERY cosy. Would like to bring my whole family there next time.
Cons: Wish we knew we could order gas for the fireplace. Would have been even more cosy then!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely quiet house in secluded location. Good wifi, channel range on tv and comfortable beds. Kitchen well equipped.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: A home away from home....my daughter calls it a holiday home...
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location, and the property is beautiful. Extremely spacious for a family of four adults. Sufficient entertainment indoors and out! The owner was very friendly and responsive to messages- she went out her way to provide us with grocery shopping alternatives as new world was closed for Easter. And the cat was a bonus- a real charmer!
Cons: Everything was great really. Mostly because it was a big house, it was cold but sufficient heaters were provided to warm us all up! The shower pressure was a bit low, but we didn't mind because everything else was very comfortable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A true gem! The house is huge, super cozy and modern. We stayed 2 nights only but wish we could have spent more time...it was a pleasure going back there in the evening. The kitchen is huge, super well equiped, the living room is comfy and a place you want to spend time in. And the landlord’s cat is the friendliest you’ll ever meet! A huge garden too that must be great for kids during the summer.
Cons: n/a
10.0 Excellent
Pros: much better than what we expected ,very cozy and quite ,Linda left everything we need here ,highly recommended :)
6.3 Good
Pros: The house was roomy, modern and clean. Kids lived the pool table. And the kitchen facilities were excellent for a large group. Linda was great, so friendly and willing to answer all our questions and made us feel welcome.
Cons: The house is a large home, with insufficient heating for winter time. While there was oil heaters throughout the house left on for us, they didn’t really warm the place up enough, really gutted to find out there was an extra $160 per night charge to use the gas fire and the spa pool leaked and could not be used. No other complaints. Just that. The house needs heat pumps or some other more cost efficient heating.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great location, very convenient being able to take our dog with us on this trip. rooms had exactly what we needed during our stay
Cons: a bit of condesation in the toilet & kitchen windows which resulted in a bit of puddling, but we just wiped it down
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Place was near the Turoa ski field and 30 mins away from Whakapapa ski field. Big rooms
Cons: none
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Clean room, great location, short walk to catch snow shuttle, short walk to cafe, bars and restaurants. Sunny location. Great to have own fridge to store food. Loved the fire in lounge, added warmth.
Cons: Room was cold even with panel heater, beds were a bit too soft.
6.8 Good
Pros: Pleasant hosts - always available.
Cons: Continental breakfast was lacklustre. Instant coffee in 2019? No juice either? Better to charge a bit more and bring the breakfast up to scratch. Place was somewhat dated/in need of an overhaul.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is very close to the Powderkeg and other bars. Handy size kitchen. Pool table in the main lounge.
Cons: Not much space left in the drying room.
7.0 Good
Pros: Location to skifield.
Cons: Sharing the hot bath and it was only for 20minutes
5.5 Okay
Pros: Location good for shuttle, staff seemed friendly enough, both the chalet we staying in (#1) and the studio loft unit (#13) were clean. Studio loft has a decent induction cook top. Chalet #1 has two good large beds and is generally a spacious place (there were 9 of us), better suited to 4 adults in the two decent beds and remainder of guests as children.
Cons: Beds...arrrgh! Studio loft #13 had two extremely uncomfortable beds (to the point of pain), noted to staff, who exchanged the single mattress for another more comfortable but not the double one (or if they did still as soft and uncomfortable) made for two miserable nights sleep between three of us rotating beds. The chalet was a bit chilly with limited heating, I would not want to be here if the weather was any colder, as such a large space to heat. Plus the studio loft had a leaking toilet and chalet a dodgy cold tap at kitchen sink but all else minor compared to the uncomfortable beds.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The Loft is great for small families
Cons: Some of the amenities are a bit rough - separate hot and cold taps can be a hassle with young kids
8.8 Excellent
Pros: small country town friendly people
Cons: wrong side of the mountain and limited transportation
6.8 Good
Pros: Clean. Good location
Cons: Not good for value. But its not just this hotel, all this area is expensive.
