Had a great time in Ojai. Dinner and a community play. People were very friendly at the hotel. Bungalow was ok with a little more privacy.
Flooring was separating. Bed moved on flloor. Headboard was leaning. At $200 for the night (tax included), just an ok value. Even for CA.
Close to a lot of restaurants and some attractions. Nice view in front of the hotel. Price was descent for Ojai. Staff was friendly.
Rooms are small. Walls are very thin so can hear neighbors turn I their faucets and walk around. Patio was shared with neighbor and had construction so was not useful for dog (Patio room was required to allow dog). Floors squeaked in our room. Shower mirror had black splotches on it.
The Outside of the Inn is very quaint. The rooms themselves are larger than you would expect. They also seem to have little cottages as well that were bigger. Would definitely come again.
The only real thing I could complain about is that they didn't clean out the fridge, there was an open bottle of Pacifico and a couple other random drinks.
The staff were friendly and super accommodating. The location was a short walk into town but far enough away to be private and less expensive. It was next door to a golf course which permitted me to surprise my husband with the opportunity to play golf, since I knew he always has his clubs and paraphenelia in his trunk. The room was very comfortable, with two queen beds (although we only needed one) with very comfortable quilts and throws on them (also plenty of pillows), a mini kitchen with microwave, fridge and electric kettle with teas and coffees) eco-friendly goods for shower, soaps, etc., a large flat screen TV, and anything else you might need and had a lovely view from the back window. (our room was on the second floor. We noticed that the first floor rooms had little patios un back.) The hotel accommodated our request for an early check-in and a late check-out.) All together a lovely stay. Oh, and they had a continental breakfast with a wafflemaker.
The only things I would suggest would be: (1) perhaps to have an option for a softer pillow rather than all pillows being on the harder side and (2) consider adding hard-boiled eggs or some other form of non-dairy protein to the continental breakfast for people whom dairy is not an option. These are only suggestions, not really dislikes.
