Pros:Minshuku Unzenya is a good bargain in a beautiful location. Next to the river in Hatonosu, you can hike to the mountains or along the river. The hotel is also near the Hatonosu train station, which you can take the frequently running Chuo line to any one of the towns in Okutama. It is not so near that you hear the train over the running river outside your room window though. The staff is very kind and made sure we had hot water and green tea bags every night. As we were the only persons in the hotel at the time, my wife and I were able to relax every night in their natural hot bath after exploring and hiking the river and mountains.
Cons:The hotel is a bit worn and there is no off hours check in. My wife and I did not mind as that seems to be common place and practice for most businesses in the area.
