10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved everything about El Sequer and had a truly wonderful holiday in a beautiful environment. The accommodation was spotless, breakfasts were great and the staff were really helpful. We walked down to the sea or up the hill to the panorama every day and enjoyed the more rural location. We also enjoyed being at the pool and relaxing in the well kept gardens.
Cons: We wish we could have stayed longer than a week!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful welcome, a real find, felt like family and will definitely return.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was very clean and comfortable, the continental breakfast was great with eggs or eggs & bacon being made to order. The surroundings and atmosphere were superb and the staff were super friendly and helpful!
Cons: Maybe not the best location if you want to be in the centre of town or close to the beach but it was close enough for us and provided a very peaceful stay.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Excellent settings, beautiful large bedroom and bathroom, excellent hosts
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel; good pool; friendly staff who were very accommodating. We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was excellent, more than we could eat, with a great variation, of cold as well as hot choices, served by a very cheerful and efficient Rosa. The terrace room with balcony was roomy and comfortable and the bed was probably the best we've slept in away from home. We cannot praise this place enough, the owner, Pablo, was extremely welcoming and the grounds surrounded by orange groves a delight. We had our dog with us and she was made welcome also. Thank you to all the staff.
Cons: Nothing, except maybe tea/coffee making facilities in the room, but these were available downstairs
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was excellent. The property was like a palace. The owners Berta and Pablo were very helpful and polite. Rosa was a fantastic lady who was extremely polite, homely and funny. A great asset to the place. Tranquility surrounded by nature. We will definitely return.

Pros: What can I say that hasn’t already been said? EVERYONE welcomed us & looked after us in this ‘home from home’ stay. A beautiful family home where you are made to feel so welcome & genuinely nothing is too much trouble.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: One word ....’’fantástico”... the peace, the nice fresh scent when you enter the hotel, the atmosphere, the design of the hotel and rooms, the welcome, not forget the breakfast (which is just too tasty and super fresh) the beautiful garden with sun beds and swimming pool, and last but not least the evening meal (which we only did once) since we have been on the road a lot and visited many villages and towns between valencia and benidorm .:: at the end of the day relaxing on the beach of gandia or just relaxing at the swimming pool .. We travel a lot by car trought Europe and have booked many Beautiful and less beautiful hotels at booking.com but this one was perfecto !! .. value for money, and the photos "are real (that is sometimes the question with the images of some hotels). thank you for your hospitality and should we ever return to Gandia we will definitely reserve a room!
Cons: Nothing ...... tip: if you drive on tomtom, and say that you are at the house he indicates the corner house number 9 (after having driven a square this in connection with one-way traffic) this is not the house! when you look in your rearview mirror or turn your own, you see the big H of hotel as a sign at the end ..
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great place, hidden spot, quiet. Beautiful garden with large swimming pool, good place to relax. Staff were super friendly and you can just use the bikes from the hotel without extra charge. Great breakfast as well! They make you feel like being at home.
Cons: I liked pretty much everything. There are quite a lot of mosquitos so it's advisable to bring a spray with you. And I would recommend the staff to put a darker curtain in front of the bathroom window because the room is quite light now in the morning.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very Nice and quite place. Friendly staff and exellent breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful place to stay, wonderful people and setting. Beautiful food and peaceful quiet location. The weather was aweful for our visit so did not use the pool area, although it looks stunning!!!

RH Bayren Hotel & SPA - Gandia - Pool

Overview Reviews
With a stay at RH Bayren Hotel & Spa in Gandia (Grau i Platja), you'll be within a 15-minute walk of Gandia Beach and Gandia Marina. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
7.0 Good
Pros: The breakfast was very good, big variety, and if you have it at the terrace you enjoy a close sea view. The hotel is located just across the seaside with a wide and long beach. Close to different restaurants.
Cons: Parking was fully booked and we had to pay for a at side public parking spot. We stayed one night, and it was overpaid for just bed and breakfast, though it was a good one :). Location good, if you like crowdy places.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was excellant with fantastic choices. Hotel was extreamly clean. Staff were very helpfull and friendly.
Cons: Location. I would have preferred if closer to city. Not a huge choice of good resturants close by.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is the best hotel in Gandia. Big, nice rooms, lots of space with nice balcony. Everywhere in the resort was super clean. Nice staff. The pool was checked all the time. Good breakfast, we had all breakfasts at the hotel. You can eat inside or outside on the balcony of the restaurant . If you travel with kids maybe take all inclusive option because they have lunch till 3:30 pm and after that you basically have no place to eat since all the restaurants around open at 8 pm. So if you eat late breakfast and skip lunch - you don’t have a place to eat. I highly recommend a small restaurant called La cuina de Karlos Escoto. Very good food.
Cons: Everything was percfect.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: location, kitchen - great thanks to the chef
Cons: some times were problems with language, I do not speak Spanish.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Felt very luxurious and “special”. I was impressed with the great selection of food in the hotel restaurant (only ate there Breakfast & Lunchtime but am sure dinner would be the same) Another benefit is being on top of the beach but with having a nice outside pool area so you could mix up between the two locations to keep variety.
Cons: The bar staff were a little slow. Not a deal breaker and I should mention they were friendly it could just take a bit of time to get a few drinks in. We were thinking about hiring a car but were told we couldn’t book a space in the hotel car park which meant we didn’t risk having no where to leave our hire car. When I had emailed asking about parking prior to our stay I wasn’t given much local advice which would have helped as actually upon arriving I found it was relatively easy to park on the roads. This info would have saved time and money getting to and from hotel from Valencia airport.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Everything. Really nice hotel . We are going to return
Cons: Elevator is very slow. SPA zone is only for adults. Should be time window for children and families
7.5 Good
Pros: Great beachfront location with modern and comfortable accommodation. Excellent breakfast and the hotel provided many leisure facilities and pool, which unfortunately we did not get to use. The beach at Gandia is beautiful and clean and the hotel's location enabled us to use the beach despite staying less that 24 hours.
Cons: No off street parking available; despite pre-requesting and receiving a confirmation text that the hotel car park could accommodate my car, upon arrival I was told there was no secure parking and I could just leave it on the street, which had restricted parking signs! The Receptionist was disinterested and unhelpful regarding other parking in the neighbourhood and in the end, we managed to find a secure public car park a short distance away. Receptionist not very helpful upon arrival, she simply handed us a map of the hotel and left us to struggle with our luggage to find the lift.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Most amazing breakfast, outdoor pool and bar area, beautiful beach just across the road, good restaurants close by.
Cons: Room with a sea view, obviously more expensive.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed in a double room with panoramic view. The hotel, room and buffet breakfast were all of a very high standard and met our expectations.
Cons: Nothing to dislike.

7.0 Good
Pros: Room and bathroom were good. Good size. Staff was friendly. Clean and comfortable room. The bed was comfortable too, and big. Good terrace but did not use it much.
Cons: Too noisy for business travel. Children, family oriented. But I kind of new that. Noise coming out of the elevator and people slamming the doors. Distance to get to second building, were my room was. Breakfast not so good. I missed more fruit, better coffee. But was not bad either.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Room was ok
Cons: Only nice for family stay, not for adults without kids. The high price is for kids entertainment. Breakfast was basic

8.0 Excellent
Cons: Unfortunately booked breakfast option inadvertently. Then had to negotiate with the hotel for upgrade to all inclusive which was much higher than on the booking.con web site.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Really nice hotel. Great food. Kettle in the room! First time ever we saw a kettle in a hotel room in Spain, thank you for that!
Cons: The neighborhood is really quite - like, there's nothing around. No shops, no restaurants, no nothing. Many people - especially the ones who were not interested in animation programs - found nothing to do in the evening after dinner.

Pros: Pension Olivia is a beautiful old building , lots of character, which we love. We had our own car and were lucky enough to find a park in the street just at the front door.

Pros: Value for money. Convienient, lovely staff
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful and rustic, perfect location ,excellent parking and owners(old and new) very welcoming.
Cons: Beds a bit small, broken handle on door- but owner knew about this. Says tea coffee making facilitys, only decafe sachets and no milk. Nothing major really. I imagine the new owners will update rooms at some point as needs a bit of updating then they could deffo charge more.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice host, nice room, good shower. Decent enough for the money we paid. Lovely big room, well decorated. Excellent location, just a few steps away from the main paseo in Oliva. We booked the large family room with double bed and a narrow single bed - mother and daughter travelling.
Cons: Things needing attention: hairdryer in bathroom wouldn't turn on, one bedside lamp didn't work, one window didn't open, outer door handle to the room fell off in my hand each time we went out. The owner had warned us of these last two things which were going to be fixed soon, but not the first two. These are things for the owner to sort out for future. Being a 'family room' I would have expected to have had more than one chair for us to sit on to watch TV or read. It also would have been good if there were any non-Spanish channels available on the TV. I wouldn't expect to have lots of these channels available, but from my worldwide travels in the last 10 years virtually every hotel or B&B has had BBC News or CNN or something. This is something for the owner to bear in mind. Unfortunately, neither my mum nor I like memory foam mattresses or pillows, so whilst they might be great for other travellers, we didn't sleep too well in the beds - but that really is down to our personal preferences rather than something wrong with the room. Perhaps it could be mentioned in the hotel's details that the beds have memory foam mattresses and pillows, so that travellers know in advance.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: The only complaint wasn’t directly with the hotel, which was wonderful in every way, but with close neighbours who played very loud music. Twice this happened from 04:00 and once from midnight, all three times right through to the morning! This issue is not directly linked to Pension Oliva but did affect our ability to have a good night’s sleep...three nights out of six. Claudia and the hotel made up for any inconvenience but I suggest this could affect other hotel’s clients.
7.0 Good
Pros: The house is beautiful in a perfect location. Ideal for shops, restaurants, bus stops and within walking distance of the stunning beaches. We had room numbers 101 and 201. Room 101 is absolutely stunning looking with original features and plenty of room for 3 people. It would be perfect if the accommodation offered breakfast.
Cons: Room 201 was ridiculously small for two adults. Actually the smallest twin room we have ever seen. The bathroom door does not close properly so no privacy and the bathroom is tiny - you cant turn round in it. This room would not be suitable for anyone who is remotely big. We felt it was completely unfair that both rooms were the same price when one was a huge triple and the other a teeny tiny twin. Upon check-in we were asked if we would like to see the rooms before paying - not something we have been asked before! - we replied that no, I'm sure the room is fine and paid the bill. When we saw the size of room 201 it was obvious why we had been asked the question. My mum and adult son were sharing this room and it was not suitable for them. When we pointed out our dis-satisfaction to the member of staff who was on duty that day she agreed that the price was wrong and the room size was ridiculous, however, she made no attempt to put things right by offering a partial refund for room 201. The staff could have been more helpful - she never showed us round the property and told us how to get to the terrace etc.

7.0 Good
Pros: Location was good, lovely views from the balcony, room was clean and the area was quiet at night.
Cons: We had two issues 1. the central heating was set too hot and we could not change the setting to cool the room. so the room was unbearable day and night. 2. We expected to get English TV as it said in description ' international channels available'. There was no English TV only one channel CNBC was available at times if we were lucky to find it. The staff serving breakfast were miserable and very noisy banging crockery while collecting. Breakfast was poor quality.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very good location and easy to find, very friendly stuff (even you don know Spanish, there is no problem with communication). I liked room service and the quality of food
Cons: There were no minuses in this hotel for me
7.0 Good
Pros: The rooms are clean and comfortable and the food is good.
Cons: It wasn't possible to get any drinks from the bar. Bar staff were never about, and at 11 o'clock at night it wasn't possible to get a coffee.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Good breakfast but limited hot items, excellent evening meal
Cons: Getting a drink at the bar was restricted to certain times of the day and if a staff member was available to serve you.
7.0 Good
Pros: Balcony and nice bathroom and quiet.
Cons: Breakfast room could be decorated better.........but cold and austere.
7.5 Good
Pros: Position: close to lots of restaurants, bars and the beach; also the bus service into Gandia. The bedroom is a bit cramped with 2 single beds and a long desk/cupboard (and built in wardrobe); has a security safe which is good; bathroom good; nice balcony with great views to the beach. We had half board; breakfast was a bit boring after a few days; although plenty to eat, lots of sweet food, hard boiled eggs, cold meats and cheese, bread/toast and fruit.... but the same thing every day.
Cons: We stayed last year; and it didn't seem as good this year. Staff were often uninterested, and in the case of one waitress at breakfast plain rude and aggressive (I was looking for pepper which the previous day the lovely waiter had found for me in a drawer). As a guest paying 100/euro a day, I don't appreciate being spoken to like I am a naughty greedy child. Dinner at night frequently is 'recycled' from previous days, so that's a bit off putting (eg the sardines appeared a few days later as a topping on a pizza type dish). The room was not as clean as it could be; floating dust and hair (not ours!) under the bed. Waited 20 minutes to check in, as the receptionist was busy on a phone reservation; but the manager stood there and looked at us; spoke with the receptionist and then left without even offering an apology for the wait - and I'm sure she could have checked us in and not left us standing around.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Good value -no frills hotel, reasonably priced evening buffet meal - breakfast excellent choice available, room clean tidy, quiet and comfortable, shower adequate.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Loved everything about the hotel, the location, comfort, food
Cons: Disappointed to have to pay for car park in the hotel at €7.70 per day.
5.5 Okay
Pros: The bed
Cons: Location

Pros: Staff very friendly and helpful. Waiter service not buffet was excellent.
Cons: The food was great except the 2nd course. This was not as good.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location near the marina, and the great beach with the soft sand I ever seen.
Cons: Small portions of food, second dish with meat and thre choops of potatos is not enough not even for a child.Late dinner 20:30, poor breakfast.
4.5 Okay
Pros: It is directly on the beach and, if you are travelling for holiday it is a plus, for business trip it is not.
Cons: personnel quite sterile. my room was very, very small. there is no car parking. Breakfast service starting at 8:15......I was on the road doing my job by that time. Hotel looks oldy and does not give a good feeling.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff, location
Cons: Nothing
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Location to the beach and local area. Friendliness of the hotel staff
Cons: The mattresses on the beds were a bit too firm for us. Would have preferred to have a Buffett service for full board
7.5 Good
Pros: The location is superb. The staff were great and very helpful. The bar is very reasonably priced and it's nice to sit on the patio with views of the Marina. Overall the property matched the price bracket but was let down by the standard of food.
Cons: We stayed Half Board. The Continental Breakfast was fair but evening meal was abysmal. We've had standard menú del dia in many places which were far superior to this. One of the joy's of going on holiday is to eat good food so take my advice and eat out.
9.5 Excellent
Cons: The bed is a little hard for us.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very close to the ferry I was taking in the morning to Ibiza.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Easy to find with paid parking possible. Literally in the middle of the old town with entrance to the Mosque less than 50 metres away. Comfortable rooms and a great breakfast. Try and get a room that looks out rather than into a light well.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: I travelled with a friend for 4 nights, having never been to Gandia. The room was small but very comfortable. It had a lovely hot, powerful shower, small fridge, balcony overlooking the Marina and two comfortable beds. It was cleaned every day with towel change also. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. We had to check out by 12 noon but were able to use a room to keep our cases until the evening. We were also able to use the poolside showers and changing facilities before our flight home. Although we went 'room only' booking, we were able to buy food in the restaurant if we wanted. Lots of cafes and restaurants were closed as we travelled in October, but there were still plenty of places to choose from to eat evening meals and snacks during the day. I loved it here - the location (right across the road from the long sandy beach), friendliness and general lovely feel about the hotel. Would definitely recommend and will be returning.
Cons: Nothing during my stay

6.8 Good
Pros: Bungalows and caravans basic but clean and functional for a few days. On the beachfront, nice area.
Cons: We have just returned, so was surprised to see it was quite busy here for Oct. The area has a few shops and restaurants but most were closed. The campsite restaurant refused us service on the two evenings we attempted to eat there and also the same refusal at the neighboring campsite restaurant, closing very early and not a friendly service! I would go to the area again but not this campsite.

Pros: Comfortable bed, we were happy with the room.
Cons: Everything was fine

Cons: Not too close to the beach area where I preferred.
7.0 Good
Pros: Very good location near center. Economical
Cons: The installations need renovation. The walls seem to be made of paper, you can here everything from the next door. There was a very nasty cigarette smell in the toilet even if all the rooms are currently non-smoking.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff. Everything very clean. Large balcony with table, chairs and sunbeds was an unexpected bonus.
Cons: The cooked selection of food at breakfast was both cold and oily. The fruit juice was from a machine and not fresh, had a synthetic taste.

Pros: The swimming pool

6.3 Good
Pros: Staff. Easy parking. Breakfast.
Cons: - non stable wireless connection. Mostly don’t work. - very very noisy room if you are on ground floor. - interesting single piece 2 person pillow :) - hotel needs renovation - rooms need renevation ( check no 004 bathroom floor etc) - price / performance ratio is not good. - far from beach, you can walk 20-25 min or need to take your car.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: I found the hotel very well run. A relaxing place to stay and staff friendly and helpful
Cons: The room as good as it was could have benefited with a fridge, tea making facilities and a comfortable chair.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The garden is definitely my highlight: the plamtrees all around offer shade when the teperature rise; the pool is cleaned everyday and is big enough to swim; and having a good breakfast outdoors with the song of the birds is one of the things that I enjoy the most on holidays.
Cons: The hotel is close to the highway and the noise can sometimes be annoying, nothing serious though. The location is also not favorable because the only way in and out of the hotel is by car, although both the beach and the town are only a six minute drive away.
