Pros: It's our second stay. Lindsay upgraded our room free of charge. Everything about this place is a luxury and I feel it's totally worth the money. Lindsay is so friendly and she really runs the place in a super-professional way. My husband and I have been to many holiday places in NZ. This one has to be the best so far! We would highly recommend this place!!!

Cons: Absolutely nothing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our hosts could not have been more welcoming. They let us check in early and then gave us lunch. There was a spa we could use, including a sauna and hot tub. The breakfast was amazing and so huge we did not need lunch.
Cons: Nothing. Everything was great.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice people
9.5 Excellent
Pros: This is a beautiful place to stay and the owners are helpful and friendly. The ocean view is fantastic and you can reach the beach by walking just a few minutes. Great restaurants are only a short drive away.
Cons: While it was outside of the control of the owners, the water service to the house was shut off due to a nearby water main break. With no water for showers, toilet, etc, until the next morning, our stay was not as pleasant as it should have been. In most cases, a B&B or hotel will make some adjustment to the rate for the inconvenience. This B&B made no adjustment to the rate, so due to the inconvenience, I felt that we did not receive full value for the money spent.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The house itself, the layout, the stunning views from the balcony, the room with a kitchenette, the big shower, the comfy bed, the absolutely brilliant breakfast, the spa bath, the lift, and last but not least our discussions with Lindsay and Kevin. It was overall a very relaxing and comfortable stay. As we were there shortly before Christmas we even got a ginger bread man and woman. And the fridge was full of water, milk, bubbly, and beer. Sigh! It simlpy cannot get any better! Thanks, Lindsay!
Cons: We had to leave this haven after three nights to travel further along...

Pros: Elisabeth and Peter are great hosts. Very helpful and informative. Accommodation provides a separate room with kitchenette on the ground floor provides a privacy and beautiful view on the sea below. It is so quiet during night. Our stay was more than pleasant!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location, very welcoming owner, excellent cleanliness and very good value for money. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast more than adequate. Lovely view of the sea .
Cons: There was nothing we didn't like.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location and view and we did enjoy our three night stay. Hosts Elizabeth and Peter are so friendly and did everything possible to make us comfortable including providing a fan for the warm nights and camp chairs to take on our picnic . The facilities are great but for a couple of items. Hot water isn't connected to the kitchen sink so you need to boil the jug to wash your dishes. In the toilet, the basin is nice and big but it is really too big for the small space making it awkward for oldies like us to use it and to squeeze past to access the shower. The shower is excellent but the access is up two steps which are difficult to negotiate as there's no handrail - well, there's a handy towel rail but it is a bit light and doesn't feel safe to bear much weight. Despite these problems we recommend Duncansby Road as a good comfortable place to stay.
Cons: See above

Pros: Yummy breakfast. Beautiful view. The clean house. The alpaca turned up in our view! though you can’t get into the farm, it was good enough for kids to stay a few meters away and feed/throw them bread :)
Cons: That we were nagged about not sitting on the couch bed edge though we were not. And not to put a used towel on the bathroom floor but the floor was so cold to put feet on and we didn’t have a spare bath mat.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great hospitality
Cons: shame one other guest stole all the internet bandwidth
10.0 Excellent
Pros: What lovely people..Karen followed up on my ETA and when she didn't get my text, rang to check further. She came out to meet me, then explained that she had noticed I had stayed before, and advised that as other guests were arriving at midnight, and her husband was to leave at 4am, she had placed me in a room in an adjoining property where I was the sole occupant so I wouldn't be disturbed. Place was scrupulously clean and one of the men kindly helped me manouevre my car out of the carport. Definitely staying again! Highest standard of service I've ever encountered.
Cons: Nothing to complain about! Highly recommended! A++
3.8 Mediocre
Cons: I was not happy with the setup, this is an airbnb, not properly stated this is a sharing accomodation. Shared a 3bedroom house upstairs with no idea we would be coming back to strangers in the bedroom next to us. Told we have upstairs but at not point told we will be sharing with strangers. Between 10 of us we shared 1 toilet and bathroom.

Pros: Quiet location. Friendly approach from owner. Clear instructions given.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Close to downtown area and good sized kitchen. Host very accommodating!
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: It was a shared bathroom, which one only could know when clicking on the bathroom icon. The TV didn't work and cleanliness wasn't really the best. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. It was very overvalued for what you got.
Cons: Mostly everything!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was ideal, quiet part of town very close to the centre. Quick trip and easy to navigate to get to the supermarket/eateries etc. Spacious living area, great for when you're travelling with a bit of a group.. Shower pressure was on point - perfect after a big day out. Nice having a view out to the coast from the living area too. Thanks again!

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Bed was comfy, room very spacious and bathroom and toilet was very clean.
Cons: It was very hot in the room, a fan in each room would be very good to have in summer time. And extra toilet paper in the toilet ☺.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The host Mimi was fabulous. Super helpful and attentive. She put on a lovely breakfast with croissants, rolls, cheeses and meats and had an espresso machine for the coffee hit in the morning. The bed was comfy and bathroom clean and tidy.
Cons: The only thing that would have been a bonus was if there was a TV in the main bedroom. Because when you book you have the 2 bedrooms and bathroom to yourself, everything else is communal with the host. So a TV in the room would be good so you can relax on your own. Other than that everything is excellent!

There was a 50 inch flatscreen tv, comfortable clean and warm bed, all the things you could want for breakfast both savoury and sweet. A microwave, kettle and toaster, hairdrier, the list goes on. One of my favourite things ( which will seem silly to some, but not to those who travel a lot like me) is that there was excellent toilet paper! Excellent free wifi.
