Was a very clean room. It was close to several resturants and shooing. Beach was nice close to a couple of ramps. The pool was salt water and there was no gym.
the hotel was in poor repair both inside and out, bed tipped everytime you got in, paint and plaster falling everywhere.
Not a whole lot. Old run down facility that needs to be torn down. I kinda felt like it was for hookers to rent on an hourly basis. Carpet torn and damaged, kitchenette dirty, roaches included. No curtain on bathroom window, in bathtub so when showering you could be seen from street. Had a window air conditioner with no air tight seal, therefore the room was constantly hot and never cooled off. This was a hot 4th of July weekend. Had to buy a fan just to sleep.
Staff was phenomenal.
The property is nicely kept up by the owners who take great pride in it. The pool deck and patio are kept very clean, nice and inviting. The beach access and view is just wonderful, especially if you get a room with a view. Having balconies, microwaves and fridges in the rooms were great for making our stay more homey and comfortable. Everything was clean and inviting. The breakfast is just some gas station food and hot brown water, don't book for the free food. Also, only one car per person and get ready to fight for a parking spot. You can park across the street if it's full but it looks shady. You should get a parking pass for one vehicle, and the lot fills up at night. While we were there seemed to be lots of bugs outside. Not sure if it was an infestation, or just the season we visited.
The staff was so great and the beach access was incredible.
t he that worked there was very nice and professional no
room decoration an very clean check in confusion, price shet I had from Kayak said the tax recovery charge and fees were included. When I went to check in I was charged tax of $19.65. After lengthy discussion with the check in cleark , who was nice, got too tired and said forget it I will pay it in protest. Checked in. They need a sheet in the room to explain the television operations, has to get clerk to come and help.
great location - right on the beach, clean swimming-pool, parking slightly neglected
The best things about this hotel are the beds are very comfortable, easy access to the beach and the oceanfront efficiencies are very roomy. I did not like the fact that there were no power outlets in the bathroom and there is no overnight staff. They all leave at 11 pm and don't return until 7 am.
It was really nice and comforting. It was really laid back as well. Very clean and right on the water.
Was alright beachside view is not all that considering the location. Woke up to construction from their facility too early by 6'30 am
The beach is incredibly beautiful, and it's really what we picked this hotel for. The pool was great- clean and deepand overlooking the beach. The shower was really nice too. The breakfast was really not enough to write home about. Toast and coffee. We ended up eating breakfast at IHOP every morning. Although the rooms were redecorated recently, it's evident that this hotel is fairly old. For the price and location, however, I can't complain.
I liked the bathroom shower and the closeness of the beach. Watching the sunrise with an unobscured view was nice. There was no window in our room, and the outlets next to the bed did not work. Also, the bathroom door did not lock, and our outside door would not shut unless slammed shut (which I'm sure our neighbors appreciated ). It felt like they took a janitors closet and made an extra room to make money. There was limited parking, and the continental breakfast was a joke. Thank goodness there is a dunkin donuts across the street. We only needed a place to sleep and wash up as we were traveling by motorcycle so for the money it worked for us. For a family, group, or romantic couple...this is NOT the place. Only use this place for a 'stop on the way to your NEXT location'.
The price was right, the view was beautiful from the ocean front room, restaurants in the area was good, beds were comfortable, mini kitchen was perfect, a/c was ice cold. For the Ocean front view, on a scale from 1-10, I give a high 8. Staff is full of Sh...., They tried to put me in an ocean veiw, I reserved a ocean front, I was told that Booking.com could not reserve that room for the price offered, and besides, if the ocean front is booked before I get there, I would have to take the ocean veiw. My husband went balistic, he requested to speak with the property manager, and requested the clerk to call Booking.com and explain the bull sh.... To Booking.com. And would you beleive this, our reserved ocean front room became availabe, shows what will happen when the hubby gets pissed. Other than the booking of the room with the clerk, we loved the stay.
Great location, frendly staff, good value. Wifi is terrible,3 dollar parking charge a day.
I love the size of the rooms and the functionality... Everything was very clean and well presented in the room. Balcony area was such a plus with a fabulous view of Ormond Beach.. Staff were friendly and accommodating during our stay.. Direct access to the beach was a huge plus.. Continential breakfast offered alot of choice and set us up for the day nicely...!! Whilst overall the corridors were clean - they could pay attention to the main windows which were dirty and unwashed. Whilst direct access t the beach was available - the stairwell could do with come clearing of grass/weeds.
The location was awesome- right on the beach. And everything in the bathroom was brand new. Pretty sure the hotel was recently bought by new owners that fixed up the bathrooms, but nothing else. There were cigarette burn holes in the bedding, the couch in the room was old and gross- wouldn't even sit on it, the headboard for the bed was cloth and falling apart. It was not posted in the room when checkout was and we overslept thinking it was at noon. At 11:30 there was a loud knock on our door- a woman from the front desk was there with a member of the cleaning staff. She informed us that checkout was at 11 and it is now 11:30. I apologized and told her we were finishing getting ready and would be out ASAP. She said we had 10 minutes to be out bc the cleaning crew wanted to go home. She was very rude about it! I apologized again and we quickly threw things in cars and left. I would never stay here again or recommend it. The pictures of the room were expecting on your site- "Premier Oceanfront Suite"- was not at all what was delivered.
Location is amazing. Housekeeping staff were awesome Owner pacing around property hovering over all guests. Construction going on all days including Sunday and Christmas Day. Owners family very creepy and absolutely unhelpful. Furniture looked like it had been picked up at a junk yard. Water splitting wood. Mismatched
It is a good location near Daytona Beach, the malls, and close enough to the speedway and very close to Wyotech.
Staff was very nice.Easy on and off I-95 Pleasent stay for both nights. Not far at all from Speedway Big spot in middle of Carpet, besides that everything was fine
Hotel is very convient to the attractions we were looking for
Nothing First of all the bed was TERRIBLE. I woke up about 100 times with a piece of metal poking me in the back. It took about 9 hours for the room to cool down because it was around 90 degrees in the room when we checked in. The people next door and about 3 dogs that barked with every move you made. Every time you flush the toilet leaked. The WiFi connection had 1 bar.... that's right 1 bar so it was absolutely useless. The air conditioner plug in looked like it could catch fire at any time (picture included). The remote to the tv only worked partially. I kept voicing my concern to my husband about there not being any kind of lock on the door because it was broken (picture included). Then as we were getting ready at 9:30 AM (checkout is at 11 AM), I was just about to put my clothes on, someone starts OPENING the door!!!! I was standing there naked screaming don't come in. They didn't even freaking knock. So my husband finally agrees with my concern about the door lock. He goes to the door and asks what the person wanted and it was an employee asking if we were checking out. I WILL NEVER EVER STAY AT AN ECONO LODGE AGAIN!!!!
There were a few bums hanging around between parking lot and service station next door.
I liked the distance to the Harley Davidson Destination .
We liked the location because it was across the street from the Harley Davidson Shop and Outlet and J&P Cycles. The room smelled terribly musty. We think the carpet had been cleaned but was not aired out. We had to carry our luggage up to the second floor because they did not have an elevator. The restaurant food was terrible. The steak was uneatable.
nothing when you ran the water it was orange, rusty, the fan in bathroom inop,by the morning room smelled muggy, when you check out they are rud,all the employees outside front door smoking with the door open, bad place
Worst Hotel Ever!!
The location is great and right on the water. What has been updated (bathrooms, some floor and exterior) is very nice. It is clean - we accidently opened the a/c filters trying to turn it down and they were clean. Moved the nightstands looking for outlets and it was clean. The rooms are large. Not child friendly in its current remodel. Some banisters are shaky and a toddler could easily climb from our 2nd floor hallway onto the roof. The banister near the pool is exetremly loose. The tile in the rooms is slick when wet (shower/pool/ocean). If you're kid is older or you constantly are attentive it's fine but I wouldn't want to keep an eye on two toddlers here. There was drywall, hammers, etc. with construction workers even on the weekend. There were only outlets in the bathroom and kitchen, none by the bed. The a/c was on the wall furthest from the bed with a table blocking most of the air. We let it cool down 5+ hours and called down to ask if they had a fan - they do not. You stand up and literally feel the 10+ degree difference near the ceiling. We think either the ceiling/rooftop isn't insulated or they really need a larger a/c or ceiling fan. The nonsmoking room had residual smoke odor and heavy air freshener scent. We don't have asthma or allergies so we managed. Kids and dogs were abundant and loud, we were on a corner with only 1 connecting room but we were awoken at midnight with toddlers screaming in the hall. Not the owner's fault but annoying. There is not sufficient parking, not even close. We had to park next door (another guest told us that's what the office told them, we weren't even told) or have 1 of us get out and signal for the other when it was safe to back out. We were in our compact sedan and barely made it work. Housekeeping never attempted to come by, there was no doorhanger but there was a prominent housekeep envelope in the room for tips.
The ocean, pet friendly, and private. The staff was not very friendly other then the night manager. The other lady during the day was crazy over the top crazy. and the beds were so squeaky you moved it woke you up.
The staff was absolutely wonderful - I got in way later than expected and still had no trouble accessing my room even though the office was technically closed when I arrived. I also thought the location was pretty phenomenal. It was near enough to Daytona Beach that I could easily drive back and forth between the hotel and the racetrack during the day if I needed to, but it wasn't so close that I had to fight the traffic, extra people, or general chaos. And it was right on the beach which always makes me happy. The room also had a mini fridge, microwave and coffee machine. I am a HUGE fan of that. The rooms were very clean, but a little run down. It wasn't bad and I didn't really mind, but I know that some people can be picky about things like that. Parking can be a little tricky because the lot is small, but there was an option for overflow parking across the street that was perfectly acceptable if you didn't mind a tiny bit of extra walking.
The way its right on the beach No housekeeping so my room stayed dirty no ice it had no view just to a dumpster outside the ac didn't work very good
Rooms were very clean I have no complaints
For one night it was tolerable Few peculiar things that make feel a bit unsafe as a female traveler alone.. first was issued a metal door key not a.plastic card. The room door.opened out not in and with the dead bolt not working the chain didnt feel that secure with opening out. Not having the office staffed 24x7 was.inconvenient
The hotel was very clean and well kept compared to any hotel, and when you consider that it's an older property, it's pretty amazing. I was very impressed. Hotel staff were very helpful also. When I booked the hotel I didn't know the difference between ocean front and ocean view. This hotel has an ocean view, which means that it's on the beach, but situated so that you can see the ocean from your front window at an angle, and from a common walkway, not from a private balcony. This was my mistake, but they gave me the best room they had for viewing the beach and it was very nice. I would stay there again for sure.
The Atlantic Ocean Palm Inn was a great location. It was not all that we had expected but it was nice. We would stay there again.
I enjoyed everything from the time of checkin to the time I checked out. I stayed from April 7-17, 2016 we had a family room, which included two double beds a full kitchen fridge and microwave and I seperate room with a king size bed. Beds were comfortable and clean good friendly staff. No problems, no bugs, nothing. Everything was great.
The location, the warm welcome, the informations given at the front desk, the private parking Really nothing for that hotel category !
great location, direct access to the sea, fairly big rooms as a couple we got a room with 2 beds, hotelpool small, not usable for longer swimming
Location and newer renovation Price good ...
great location, spacious and clean rooms needs a general renovation, looks a little bit old
It was very clean inside the room and the maintaince guy had the outside perfect. I would definilty stay there again.
It was a very quaint place. Staff were nice. Over all cleanliness was good, just old building. Perfect, PERFECT location. Right on the beach, not a lot of noise. Perfect for two young women who just want to get away to the beach for the weekend. beds weren't that comfy
Located right on the beach, Ocean and beach view from our room No continental breakfast, only coffee
Location was great. Beds are too small. Room was too close to ice machine. We were woke up at all hours of the night by the ice machine. Otherwise, this is a decent place to stay.
The main objective for my stay was to photograph the Daytona Beach Pier at sunrise. The inn is just a short walk to the pier which is easily visible from the pool area. Hotel fees...
Location is great ! Staff is great ! Rooms are clean ! Don't go during spring break! To much partying and noise. We stay here often and love it never been this loud before.
Nice...somewhat clean...they have their old furniture sitting right up front of hotel, kinda ugly. I had no shower curtain. The ac was made when the parted the red sea Not really nuch i f was plain nane
Price was great and nice pool area. Very short walk to beach. Beds were comfortable Room was extremely small w no balcony. "Breakfast" was bare scraps of oatmeal, fruit cups and coffee. Hotel is out dated fridge was rusted on outside and smells like pee all over property including our room.
Location was great. Within walking distance from everything. No need for driving once you get there. Beds are old. I didn't rest well. One bed was good and the other one you could feel the springs.
It is very obvious this hotel is in the process of renovation, and when it is completed, it will be beautiful. The main room was very clean, well decorated, nice flat screen TV. The sheets were horribly scratchy on my first night, but great the second leaving me to believe they are cycling out old linens. One of the beds had collapsed in. I only needed one, and I'm sure if I had called they would have fixed it for me because the staff was amazing! Also, you can tell they are still fixing the bathrooms because mine was awful! But in a "we are fixing it up" way. Old shower head with new curtain and curtain rods, broken tiles in the wall but new tub. You can tell they are doing things little by little.
I liked that it was ocean front. The hotel is outdated and I heard the people next door to me talking while I was trying to fall asleep.
Location is great Bathrooms need update
Pool was amazing Door was hard to open and close .balcony light had no bulb
i liked that it was located close to the boardwalk walk and directly on the beach. i also enjoyed the pool. we were given the worst room in the lot directly above the office, even though i booked over a month in advance.. the room had bright orange construction extension cords all over, connected to every outlet and they even got in the way of the balcony doorway and the bathroom. multiple outlets didnt work at all, so all of my family members were not able to charge our phones overnight. there was a leftover chicken bone under the coffee table, so i guess no one actually vaccumed prior our arrival, and the microwave shut off everytime we tried to use it. we were constantly unplugging cords and replugging them just to make it work somehow. they werent even concealed, they were completely visable, as well as directly next to a leaking air conditioner... thats definitely not safe at all. the information on kayak, expedia and every other site is wrong. they charge more than 7$ per extra guest, and do not advertise it as a nightly charge. when i tried to talk to the front desk attendant about all of this he told me "next time dont book through another site". the sign outside has multiple burnt out letters and the parking is a nightmare. this place is not in the appropriate shape to be rented to the public. im a fairly easy going person and im not even exaggerating. also, i called every week for four weeks to make sure i had the correct information about the safety deposit. on the phone, i was told by the attendant that it would be a 25$ charge, no surprises. i even asked if it would definitely be the same during the 4th of july holiday week and i was told it would be the exact same. when i get there the attendant tells me 50$ cash only... there are other places worth the money, the grand prix motel is not. go nextdoor to the flamingo motel.
Overall- good value. Especially considering this is an older hotel, it was maintained well. Staff were friendly. Was quiet and relaxed. Large pool and small 'paddling' pool were both clean. Easy beach access, and sea view. Clean sheets and towels. Carpet area could have been vacuumed more thoroughly due to pet hair, especially under beds, and bare floors could've been cleaned/mopped better.
It was right on the water, has a great pool, bbq pit. We just wish we could have stayed longer. The hotel is a bit old, but I liked the older feel of Daytona. Had a balcony view and the beds were super comfy. For what we paid it was AMAZING!! Great staff, Virginia was so sweet and very helpful. Great customer service. We will be back!!
