Pros: LOCATION!!!! Hands down the best place I stayed in during my visit to Norway Staff was kind and helpful. Guides can help you with activities (hiking etc) around the hotel. Stunning scenery and views from the terrace I would recommend taking the boat (which can be rented from the hotel) out to the fjord to enjoy the magical surroundings
Pros: Excellent hotel,in a stunning location next to the fjord. Everything was perfect: friendly staff, comfortable room, wonderful facilities, and excellent and delicious breakfast and dinner. After being there we regretted having stayed only for one night. The scenery is amazing,a hidden gem!!
Pros: Wonderful location with great view , superb personnel and great facilities
Pros: The views and location were perfect if you prefer peace and quiet over the tourist hordes at Geiranger and other locales.
Cons: I really wish the staff had more of a “concierge” style to them— I asked several times about optional activities (sea kayaking, hiking, etc.) and while they said they had those things, they didn’t really seem motivated to help facilitate making it happen. As a result, we only wound up hiking around (the trails are STEEP) and I really wish we had gotten out on the fjord. We also rented bikes for some of the time but several were in very poor shape and we had to walk one of them back to the hotel because the shifters were broken. A little more attention from the staff would have helped make a good stay, excellent. They were quite friendly— I just think more training on how to help create experiences for guests would really make a difference. In addition, while we cannot be sure, I am afraid one in our party got food poisoning (a hamburger). The food at breakfast was excellent. Dinner left quite a bit to be desired and there are really no other options in town so you are pretty much stuck with what they offer (and it is not cheap). We enjoyed our stay overall but compared to our two other locations in Norway (Hotel Hjelle and Hotel Brusundet) this one was just a little bit short on the details for the price paid.
Pros: Wonderful experience. Great service. We loved the location -cozy and quiet. Good restaurant and breakfast. Plenty of hiking routes.
Pros: Food was great,
Cons: Bedroom was a little cosy and reception staff struggled to help with our queries regarding a tour. We ended up sorting it out ourselves and brining the info back to hotel for them!
Pros: A beautiful location. Food was excellent and staff very accommodating.
Cons: We needed to be aware of Ferry times in the evening.
Pros: Lovely location, right by the fjord and very close to walking trails. Nice breakfast. One lady in the reception very helpful and pleasant.
Cons: It's an ok hotel but the images you see are mostly from common areas. We were placed in a cottage away from the main building which wasn't very nice. The cottage did not have TV for instance as promised when booking a double room. If you travel with your dog, note that it is only welcome in the room and not in the restaurant or other common areas. It is not a very dog friendly hotel and to be honest not all staff are very service minded either. The general feeling is that this hotel is run by amateurs, and it lacks experience and service. It's not very professional and it's a shame as the location is lovely.
Pros: A fabulous hotel in a stunning setting overlooking the fjord and the mountains of Saska and Slogen (we climbed Saska - views from the top where incredible!) Very comfortable, modern and relaxing hotel - excellent staff, always willing to help. Breakfast and evening meals were spot on. Stayed for 2 nights - could easily have stayed longer. Would totally recommend.
A stay at Quality Hotel Ulstein places you in the heart of Ulsteinvik, a 1-minute drive from Ulstein Church and 8 minutes from Sunnmore Golf Club. This hotel has facilities measuring 54 square feet (0 square meters), including a conference center. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: very well room and breaksfast.
Cons: lack a little care of the guests! I ended up forgetting my engagement ring in the room and when I called to find out if they found they made no effort to help me find out, or someone in the establishment got hold of my object of great value! I think they should take a little more care and give more importance to cases like this! I sent you an email and no answer! because my ring was forgotten inside the box or is nothing so hard to find! a piece of advice! the hotel is good but never ever neglect your personal belongings in the rooms because you will never see them again!
Pros: Good and clean rooms and a good air conditioning in the bathroom. Breakfast and Dinner were awesome.
Cons: The floor mat in the entrance is a real annoyance when trying to pull your baggage over it.
Pros: Superb hotel in remote Ulsteinvik. Helpfull and hospitable staff making the stay very pleasant!
Pros: Breakfast was quite good. Janett at the front desk was very helpful.
Pros: Breakfast was fantastic. Staff was incredible.
Pros: Good hotel for an overnight stay. The rooms are big and clean. Very good breakfast
Pros: The staff members were extremely helpful and always gave us detailed and easy to follow directions whenever we needed them. I was really impressed by how concerned they were about us catching the last ferry back from Alesund. This was by far the best the breakfast I had in Norway and I loved the location of the hotel right by the water. I initially booked this hotel because it was close to a friend's wedding venue but I will definitely come back!
Pros: Nice clean rooms, comfortable beds, very very nice staff (!), really great Breakfast with a lot to offer. We also had dinner there and it was delicious, with a great waiter(Andreas!) who gave very good tips for our travels. Very satisfied, the best experience I have had in any hotel so far.
Pros: Very good location with great staff and services. Rooms are very comfortable.

Pros: The beds were much better than anywhere else in Norway
Cons: Lighting in the bathroom
Pros: location, room size, balcony, internet.
Pros: The bed was comfortable and our stay at the hotel was good.
Cons: Cold in the resturant. Food took long time and was tasteless. Breakfast was cold, dry bread, dirty plates, not cleaned table, not signed what the food was, the food was dry and not fresh.
Cons: Terrible noise from the street.
Pros: great and clean good service food was good too
Cons: no table in the balcony
Pros: The staff were excellent and extremely obliging.
Cons: The beds are dreadful and much too soft, especially if you have a bad back. These soft mattresses should be replaced with firner orthopedic ones.
Pros: Nice staff, god comfort.
Pros: The staff were helpful and very pleasant. And the whole hotel relies on the fact that there is amazing nature and scenery outside.
Cons: Where to start? This hotel is outrageously over-priced. Incredibly noisy in the room...a generator or engine going constantly, no sound insulation. Embarrassing to hear neighbours above using the toilet. Shower grubby and flooding the whole floor. No minibar. Ridiculous to have no socket next to the bed to charge a phone...that's a basic requirement. Very basic breakfast. Disappointing. Clearly, being the only hotel in Ørsta allows them to charge far more than the room is worth.
With a stay at Volda Hostel & B & B, you'll be centrally located in Volda, 26.8 mi (43.1 km) from North Sea and 16.3 mi (26.2 km) from Saebo Marina. Featured amenities include multilingual staff, luggage storage, and laundry facilities. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Very friendly host and freshly renovated and modern room.
Cons: Shared bathroom was bit outdated.
Pros: Nothing really but given the price you get what you expect.
Cons: The place badly needs refurbishing, breakfast was beyond pathetic.
Pros: Nice hostel, friendly staff, got prepared breakfast earlier since we needed to leave, overall clean and comfy. Available kitchen with appliances where you can prepare light meal yourself. Bathroom and toilet in the end on hall - clean.
Pros: The best hotel-manager ever. Fantastic service.
Pros: Very nice people and comfortable room. Good quality for the price.
Cons: The entrance was not inviting. It is a disadvantage for guest not decided to enter or not. The inside lobby is correcting this 1st bad impression.
Cons: Noise from other guests late into the night.
Pros: Decent hostel, simple but clean. The hostess was very friendly.
Cons: Haven’t received the receipt despite 4 reminders, if you are so concerned then your team Must ensure that I get it.
Pros: The personell was very nice and helpfull. The bed was comfortable and the room clean and tide. We got a big room with a nice view and the location is very good. The administration guy brougth us a thermos with good cofee in the morning and placed by the door, without disturbing. We appreciated that.
Cons: The place is a former police station and the rooms don't have the propper isolation, so we must had the heating at high to keep us warm. In adition the noise from the street came into the room, fortunatelly Volda is not a big town, so it was quite after some time, but still was a litle difficult to get to sleep. The information about the food service was a little confusing.
With a stay at Volda Turisthotell, you'll be centrally located in Volda, 16 mi (25.8 km) from Saebo Marina and 16.3 mi (26.2 km) from Saebo Church. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, a 24-hour front desk, and multilingual staff. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Clean room, friendly staff.
Cons: Little to choose from during breakfast. Not worth ca.150kr that a breakfast usually costs. Everything in the buffet was in very little small plates and you basically empty it before other guests can have the same. No tomato beans to the omelette. Only 2-3 omelettes at a time, need to wait extra for them to come. Disappointing in comparison to a standard norwegian hotel breakfast.
Cons: the toilet
Pros: very good breakfast. Dinner was excelant!
Pros: Location was great, just about 7kms from Volda airport (I had a car)! The staff esp. the Chef and his wife were very friendly, courteous and recommended food to me explaining the reasons for suggesting the dish! Highly recommended.
Pros: Room was very clean, with beautiful views of the fjord around Volda. Breakfast was great, WiFi quick and steady. The staff polite and helpful. Car parking huge.
Overlooking the Herøy Fjord, these cottages feature wooden interiors, kitchenettes and a private bathroom with shower. Herøy Art Museum is 2 km away. A seating area and cable TV are featured in all cottages at Lanternen Marina. Kitchenettes include a stove, microwave and fridge-freezer. Some cottages have a fireplace. Motorboats can be rented on site. Guests have access to a fish gutting room on site. A laundry room with ironing facilities is also found at Lanternen. Traditional Norwegian dishes are served at the on-site café. Snacks and beverages can be bought at the kiosk. Popular activities in the area include hiking, diving and sightseeing by boat. The bird island of Runde is 15 km from the cottages. Ørsta-Volda Airport is a 25-minute drive away and Ålesund is 1 hour away.
Pros: Easy to find, location near the Atlantic as well as the island of Runde. Situated near the water we could even watch the Hurtigruten ships from our breakfast table. We had hytter nr 8, which was a bit apart from the other ones and therefore quite undisturbed. The location has basic facilities for cooking and cleaning, bedsheets and towels we brought ourselves.
Cons: Hytter could have been a bit cleaner, especially the kitchen and the bathroom floor. We were missing a kettle for boiling water (I don't know if we could have asked for one at the reception).
Pros: Nice location. Good size cabin.
Cons: Window not able to lock. Door to shower broken, WiFi did not work properly.
Pros: Was new floor and new sofa. We not expected nothing, but we was surprised...
Pros: Large cabin
Cons: Poor maintenance and not very clean
Cons: It was dirty!!
