Small, friendly, off the beaten track
Very pleasant hotel, the big and spacious room, cleanliness, an order and service at very good level.
Superb service attitude of staff; very helpful at every turn; couldn't do enough for you. Lovely dining room and great food!
Friendly helpful staff. Very clean. Enclosed car park. Excellent food. Very good value for money
We only stayed over night on our way somewhere else - arrived very late (just before they went home for the night 23.00) and had breakfast in the morning. The beds were very comfortable, the rooms spotless. The hotel had a cosy feel to it and is newly refurbished. The girl on reception in the evening didn't speak anything but Italian, so it was a little difficult to communicate. Last possible check-in is 11pm, as the staff go home then, so make sure not tobe late.
Kindness and Elegance.
Helpful and friendly staff. Super dinner and breakfast. Comfortable room despite not being able to control the air conditioning which was regulated by the hotel staff.
Only stayed one night but staff very friendly, room newly renovated. Walls very thin, Girl on reception in evening only spoke Italian but there was someone who spoke a little english and was very helpful.
Nice location on a quiet street, with a lovely mountain view and a picturesque church at the top of its hill. Olyx itself is a nice town to walk through and is in easy driving distance to ski slopes and a myriad of valley and mountain villages. This small hotel is nicely decorated, very clean and well maintained. Good breakfast, and the restaurant is excellent for dinner. Service was friendly and helpful. Convenient, ample, and free parking is provided half a block away. It would have been nice to have lobby computer available for guest use.
The room was clean and comfortable, and after several issues, the staff finally did try to be helpful. The food in the restaurant. It was of a very poor standard, hot dishes were served cold, the meat was too tough to eat.
Quite and peacefull pleasant staff
Exceedingly helpful and friendly staff. Excellent food.
Excellent service by friendly staff. Good hotel-ski pass deal. Very comfortable and clean rooms and facilities. Good food.
We very much appreciated the splendid hospitality offered by the manager, Francesca Buono, who in fact did the design for the interesting renovations that were completed shortly before the Olympics in Torino. She gave us a sampling of regional specialties, as well as information on restaurants and attractions, and she even found us an excellent local mechanic for our rental car. The hotel is nestled high in the Italian Alps above Torino, a perfect location for outdoor activities all year long. We were there only for an overnight on our way from Tuscany back to France, but we would certainly enjoy staying there much longer on another occasion.
The Manager - was the rudest women I have ever come across. If you made your own arrangements outside of the Hotel and she wasn't going to make a Euro or two out of it she turned into a beast. Never in my life have I been spoken to like that from someone whom was meant to be looking after us in our stay.
Staff was very friendly. Bus service to skipiste was very well organised. Good skipas discount via hotel Breakfast was very poor
Modern fixtures and furnishings. Well maintained. Friendly staff. Staff failed to provide breakfast on time two of the four days of our stay (breakfast room was locked and lights were off). Room a little too warm; no air circulation without opening balcony doors which allowed noise and insects into room.
hotel staff does not speak English well, which caused some problem/s on communicating between guests and staff. the policy of the hotel stay that the guest MUST throw away his/her waiste and SHALL be checked before check-out, was NOT advised at the time of booking. This is not a fare rule on business manner to the customers.
Great location and well designed hotel. Being built for the winter sports market meant that there were solid floors everywhere which made it very noisy. Not much choice of food during the summer period.
close to ski lifts etc and good value faciliities in the hotel all geared to Italian customers rather than other foreigners and the staff not that friendly or helpful
Near the skiing areas and city The poor service
Relaxed atmospher, friendly staff. Very helpful on last day and let us have use of a room until we left late afternoon for no charge Food was average
Fantastic views, excellent facilities
The location of the hotel is excellent right on the slopes. The prosfessionalism of Roberta (hotel Receptionist) was outstanding and a person who is on top of their profession Minibus service to and from the hotel was inconsistant and depending on who was driving the minibus, one excellent driver there and totally realible. We were two adults staying in the hotel while the Christmas period saw alot of kids no proper facilities for adults after dinner and kids seem to run the show with creche facilities closed in the evening, need a larger lounge area for adults only
Wonderful staff.Management, restaurant, reception, bar everyone made you feel like a valued guest at the Jafferau.Incredibly helpful. This hotel also has the most spectacular location and great facilities for a superb holiday.
the staff were all very friendly and were happy to help with any questions i had. the hotel is situated in a perfect place for the slopes and for the bars. the window in my room was small and looked on to a wall.
I was very disappointed with this hotel. It was clean and the staff were pleasant. But the hotel has poor facilities. The room was very spartan. There was no phone, no curtains for some of the windows, a radiator was missing and just had the fittings sticking out of the wall, no hot water on at least three occasions when it was needed, reception smelled very badly, the bathroom was badly fitted and very old and scruffy, a tiny telly with no non-Italian channels, and reception staff with poor English. Does not deserve to be described as a three star hotel.
Location, nice staff. No kettle in room. Curtains didnt go right across (just a net curtain on most of window).
Comfort, kindness of the staff, position
the weather and skiing, food was poor food poor and beds uncomfortable
The staff were very friendly at all times and were always there to help. The front desk organised transfers for us without a fuss and the location of the Hotel was right in the centre of Sauze D'Oulx.
Good value, nice staff, loads of breakfast, close to action It was fine for the money
The location could not have been better, about 7 mins walk to the main ski-lift but yet situated on a square in the centre. The hotel is quite basic but is clean. It is classed as a 4* hotel, but seems more like a 3. The staff were incredibly helpful.
friendliness of staff and relaxed atmosphere
The hotel was comfortable and the staff accommodating but the tru benefit is the excellent location and superb family friendly surroundings
Good service. Nice view across the town Sestriere in clear weather! Soory, I did not pay for a battle of stiil water from mini-bar when I left your hotel. When I will be in Sestriere next time i`ll pay... Please, make an instruction about internet connection in a room, or rather make Wi-Fi for all hotel!
I like this hotel, i like Sestriere, i like ski, snow and mountains! Thank you for good vacation! Please, make breakfasts more various!
tutto ok, personale gentilissimo letti scomodi
A nice, simple, family run - and very family friendly hotel, which proved an ideal out-of-town base for our ski trip with our children. A car is essential as it's a 10 minute drive to the town/lifts (there did seem to be a bus service but we didn't use it). Great value if unspectacular dining, lovely mountain views and clean apartments...we'd stay there again. Recommended.
beautiful view to the mountains, comfortable kitchen. kitchen needs to have cleancers to keep the tidyness. For tourists it is unreasonable to buy cleaning fluids for 3-4 days. In winter the floor in the bathroom is icy. The battery did not always waork, so it was cold to take the shower. It would make sence to make heat-insulated floor ot at least provide the bathroom with controllable heater
Cleanliness and modern facilities As it was self catering limited kitchen utencils. No wine glasses.
bus to the ski lift everyday was like a personal taxi-excellent extra. no walking up that steep hill! room was a little too hot and could not ajust this
The external hot tub with a view of the alps and the breakfast!
Staff were fun and extra pleasent. Great spa.
Small but nice SPA - ideal after skiing. no blanket only bed sheet so you have to sleep with full heating on, WiFi did not work, had to go to Irish pub in the village
Any extra is really expensive: coffee 2 euro, 500ml water 2 euro, wine bottle 18 euro.
The staff at the hotel were warm and very helpful. The spa: very relaxing, very welcoming staff; excellent after exercising on the slopes. The dishes on the a la carte menu were delicious. I'd stay here again.
very nice for this resort the spa was poorly run and quite dirty in places, we all came out with coughs after a few days and would not use the spa after this.
Superb location, great staff
Friendly service, good food, great jacuzzi in the room ..
The accomadation was surprisingly standard, despite the reviews I had read. We were all quite satisfied with everything. It is a bit off the town center and the lifts. A pity there is no Wi-fi in the rooms.
wonderfull mountan veiw from the room. Big balkony. Comfortable undeground parking is free of charge. Comfortable big sleeping bed. Night portier does't speeks English.
location, view, staff, market, laundry, Wi-fi connection garage is very dark and tight parking spots (need better lighting system), access to master thru other bedroom and no windows in that bedroom
