Reserved a parking space, non available on arrival , few team members dismissive and arrogant, others fine. Room air vents absolutely clogged and dirty so no air in the room and therefore no sleep and dubious cleanliness When I checked out they had applied a refund but absolutely no interest from the GM to receive feedback to improve when contacted, I would rather had an nice experience not a refund! Breakfast super poor.
Location, you are 3 minutes walking from the city center, a shopping center in the next street. The old jail-castle is amazing, also the room, common spaces, gardens and geeneral decoration is really good.
Well the staff was not as friendly as I expected but my biggest concerns is the price and the value. I know Oxford is expensive but compering what you pay for what you receive is not worthy. I loved my weekend trip there and it was super romantic!
Two nights - two rooms because shower didn't work Breakfast and service terrible both days TV unwatchable - pixellating Staff seemed to think that because it was a converted prison that we should be happy because of the quirkiness The hotel responses demonstrate this as they don't learn
Location, rooms and staff
Location was great and the Concierge was really helpful, kind and knowledgeable. The rooms were quirky and very comfortable.
The reception staff when we checked out were aloof and a little rude which was disappointing. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere but the staff are inexperienced and the food was very bland.
