Pros: Amazing crew, fast boarding.
Cons: Uninspired food. I was served the same meals 30 years ago.
Pros: Amazing crew, fast boarding.
Cons: Uninspired food. I was served the same meals 30 years ago.
Pros: I really enjoyed the ease of boarding and how smooth the flight went. The airline crew was friendly and the food was great.
Cons: I wish that I was informed ahead of time that SAS GO LITE flights do not include check-in baggage. I ended up paying $109 instead of $60 because I was unaware that the fees change the day of departure. This upset me.
Pros: Professional crew
Cons: I think for the price I paid for the flight there should at least be a free snack to go with the free drink.
Pros: Crew on EWR to ARN was so-so. They lock restrooms at the back because they don't people hanging around the kitchen in the back. Also, the one cabin crew does not say Excuse Me when he needs to pass- he just touches you and pushes you aside Also, the one cabin crew
Pros: See previous note about lost bag.
Cons: See previous note about lost bag.
Pros: The onboarding process was awesome! The rest was mediocre at best. The cabin was friendly but not helpful. They had weird policies which we have never heard or seen elswhere. The flight had huge screens that won't turn off, it was freezing cold and the crew had no idea how to help.
Cons: More knowledgeable crew and maybe more crew members, as there were too few and the service took more than 2 hours to complete. Never seen that happen on a 7 hour flight.
Pros: Crew was business only.
Cons: More engaged crew. The
Pros: Excellent and professional crew members
Cons: Nothing, the flight was smooth, most enjoyable
Cons: The food offering
Pros: The crew was amazing but delays upto 2 hrs
Cons: Nothing as not in control
Cons: I don’t like how the food on premium economy is packed in a cubic box that is really messy to eat from which the small plastic cutlery. Food quality is good, but feels like being an animal being fed from a bucket.
Cons: Missed connecting flight from Copenhagen to Geneva since flight from Newark left over an hour late.. They booked me on a flight to Zurich and then to Geneva. Had a connection to France booked separately that I had to move.
Cons: Got asked to leave my seat in row 3 for one further back because I couldnt pull up my ticket mid flight to show it was my seat. Their system had me in another row so I missed out on the extra service offered to that row.
Cons: Upon landing in EWR on United, per my reservation on this site my connection was on SAS to Copenhagen. Upon arrival in EWR, I received an email from this site saying my SAS flight "may be canceled". I immediately headed to the terminal where SAS was and went into the lounge to speak to an agent. The women I spoke to could not have been more rude. She told me my flight was canceled and that she did not have access to any details because that was United's responsibility. I told her that could not be the case because my flight was on SAS so if they canceled the flight, I would like to understand what my options are given that I had a tight window upon arrival into my final destination into Dubrovnik so I could not be too late in landing outside of my original reservation. She told me that I had to talk to United and did not even acknowledge why there was a cancellation or anything other than the SAS flight I was on was cancelled. She barely even helped me to understand where my luggage was which I was very concerned would be lost given the issue with the flight cancellation. As a result of all of this, it turns out I was put onto a United flight that now had MORE connections. I had to now go to Frankfurt to Vienna to Dubrovnik, all with really tight connections AND now I no longer was on the same flight as my friend who I was traveling with. SAS did not help with any of this or care to assist in ANY way. They told me it was out of their hands and I had to talk to United. AWFUL service when SAS had cancelled the flight! I had no choice but to take the re-routed flights. I ended up running to my gates and barely catching all of my connections which made for a very stressful travel experience to start my long awaited vacation. After paying the high cost I did for my flight, I am extremely frustrated with my experience as I ended up having more connections, tight connections, awful customer service and a really stressful trip. This is NOT would I would expect for how much I paid and out of the quality of an airline. I would like to receive some type of compensation for the extreme inconvenience of landing 3+ hours after my original arrival time, being broken up with my friend who I was traveling with, not being given any options for my travel, terrible customer service assistance, and no acknowledgement from SAS to help me in any way.
Cons: We arrived late in Copenhagen and I had 20 minutes to catch my connecting flight. Even though I was checked-in for the Copenhagen to Athens flight it left without me. I was then transferred through Prague to get to Athens and again missed my connecting flight through there. Now I am stuck in Prague looking for a flight to Athens and most likely will miss my next flight from Athens to Karpathos and will again be stuck in Athens because there are no flights out to Karpathos until 19 of May, 3days from now. I was physically in the Copenhagen airport and could have made that flight, I feel that since I was already checked in they should have waited for me and allowed me to board. Now I will Be missing work!
Pros: The crew was great and the food as well
Cons: Boarding chaotic and Newark airport is very inconvenient. No signs to terminal B and the sky train with the compartment system is not very functional. I am tall person and sitting in the middle of the middle row was very inconvenient wilh not enough leg space.
Pros: Easy boarding. Friendly staff
Pros: Really appreciated how helpful everyone was, from check-in at Newark to arrival. The entertainment system worked well, too. Aside from the two issues I describe below, SAS seems to be extremely efficient and well-run.
Cons: There was some mix-up - not sure where - but I did requested a vegetarian meal and it wasn't in the system. I'd also requested an aisle seat due to a hip issue and was told I'd have one - but when I went to check in, I'd been put in a center seat in a bulkhead. I was able to change but it was the last row of the plane. We the gate they were able to move me up at the last minute - but this all could've been much easier.
Cons: This has nothing directly with SAS, but since I experienced it during my flight there, they are responsible of it. I was waiting for the flight at the OSLO airport waiting for the flight to LONDON. I had ample time to work on my computer. In the big room by the gate there was only one spot where I found three electrical sockets hanging from a pillar or post. To my dismay none worked. My plug would fall off from each. To document, I took the pictures of the useless sockets... I complained to the lady at the boarding desk (she left before the SAS staff moved in), she did not even care... This experience frustrated me and turned an otherwise pleasant trip into a bitter one. Please install some working sockets in your waiting room! Flight SK 809 Confirmation: LN9M6O Departure: Oslo & other airports (OSL) Arrival: Heathrow (LHR) Time: Sat Dec 2 2017 3:05 pm CET - Sat Dec 2 2017 4:25 pm GMT Peace, Edip Yuksel +1 520 481 1919
Pros: This is obviously a very well-run airline. Boarding was efficient, the crew were warm and professional, and the overall feel of the aircraft was very Scandinavian-cool. I was most impressed with the meal service. We were served twice on our 9 hour flight, and both meals were hot, healthy, and the best I’ve had during a flight. The passenger in front of us was having a hard time with her sinuses, and the flight attendant (whose name I wish we had gotten) was very attentive and concerned for the comfort and well-being of the passenger. She insisted on doing anything she could to alleviate the woman’s difficulty. It is clear that the crew care about the passengers’ experience.
Cons: We were unable to sleep at all during our overnight flight and landed pretty exhausted. Our seats were comfortable (complete with a moldable headrest to keep your head from bobbing around) but we felt too upright to fall asleep. The passenger in front of us reclined, but we were concerned about reclining into the already tight space of the passenger behind us. So we weren’t able to sleep, despite trying to get comfortable/somewhat horizontal. It seemed to be a mixed bag of asleep and awake passengers on the flight, so some people were unaffected by this issue.
Pros: On time, easy boarding
Cons: The flight was nearly full and everyone seemed to have at least two cases. This caused lots of jostling for space in the lockers
Pros: Pleasant crew
Cons: Boarding was shambolic and the 737 is not as nice as the new A320 in terms of comfort or amenity. Boarding was all over the place - and the gate agents clearly need extra people around for a full flight. One person for 170 ppl didn't feel right.
Cons: They only offered tea and coffee for free as a drink and nothing anything more, and were not kind at explaining this.
Pros: Again, the flight was fine, and cabin crew was friendly
Cons: When I went to the SAS counter to print my boarding pass, the counter lady couldn't find my information. She left me at the counter and went inside to find out more info. Then when she came out, she started interrogating me forcefully, about why I got United involved with my check in for my first leg of the trip, because I am causing her to have all this extra work and etc. How dare she!!! First of all. I didn't want to involve United, the service counter at SAS was closed the entire time, and the flight on my first leg was operated by United, so i had no choice but to go to United. In fact I should be the one asking why I had to involve United in the first place. Where was SAS when I needed their help and guidance???? Why was their counter closed the entire time??? Such a poorly organized airline, I'll be wary to fly with SAS again.
Pros: This wasn't a very long flight and I didn't eat or drink anything so there isn't really that much to say. But I can say that nothing was a problem at all
Cons: There were no problems
Pros: Nice TV's. Good selection
Cons: Flight attendants were rude to English speakers.
Cons: Unable to select seat/baggage until 22 hours before flight because not booked through SAS. Thought bagged was checked in online and had to pay More than the cost of the flight. Flight was delayed due to mechanical problem. Cabin very warm throughout flight.
Cons: I was really disappointed at finding out at luggage check-in that I had to pay extra (£60.00) for my one regular-size suitcase. On the return flight I was told that this amount would be - as it turned out in my case - less than half, if I called SAS a day before departure. Why did I have to pay for the checked luggage at all?
Pros: I was running late for the flight due to bad traffic en route to the airport. Nonetheless, the staff was very understanding, and called me to the gate once I finally arrived to assign me a seat since I wasn't given one when I checked in online. They upgraded me without my asking... to an economy plus exit row, so I had lots of room during the 8 hour flight to Copenhagen. The plane was new - an Airbus A330 - and the flight crew was friendly and helpful.
Pros: I chose SAS since I have used this airline on most of my travels to Norway. It has been without any problems and I highly recommend it. The staff all try to make you comfortable and do not hesitate to get whatever you ask for. I have no plan to change plane. Thank you.
Cons: I do not like the way they conduct their business from the office. I know they are very busy like any other airlines but please return our calls and answer questions as we are fully entitled to their attention using their airline. . Thank you.
Pros: Made it safely to destination
Cons: Series of unfortunate events: 1. No air vents in seats. Plane was very warm the entire flight. My husband and I spent 6+ hours sweating in our seats. 2. Dinner was not served until 9:30/10PM. By the time we received our food in the back, it was cold. 3. For guests who wanted to sleep during the red eye, the lights were not turned off until after dinner and cleanup, which meant only 2 or so hours of sleep in dark.
Pros: Good experience. Nothing extra-ordinary. Only complimentary tea, water and coffee.
Cons: Flight arrived on time.
Pros: The airline is very professional and the crew were very courteous.
Cons: During my layover, the airline did not post the gate for my flight to Athens until an hour before, which caused me to have to run across the terminal to another set of gates.
Pros: boarding is different and they were talking over pa announcements at heathrow so you could not hear what to do. you go through one ticket agent to the down stairs to another ticket agent. everyone knowing what to expect crowded around the second ticket agent and there because of that forget about boarding by row or zone you couldn't get throught the crowd. plus the second ticket agent was right next to the downstairs escalator so people coming late got on before us.
Pros: I was able to sleep most of the flight.
Cons: Plane left Newark an hour late and I missed my connecting flight in Oslo. Once I did get on a flight from Oslo to Copenhagen, there was no room for my carry on luggage. The stewardess took it and said it would be put in cargo, but now they can't find it! Two bad experiences with SAS in a row. Don't want to use them again.
Pros: The food was very good surprisingly
Cons: Again the seats are too tight and they should not be allowed to recline
Pros: I felt valued. The plane was clean and in good condition. The flight crew and attendants were very professional and took good care of the passengers. It was a quiet and stress-free travel experience.
Cons: Can't think of a single thing.
Cons: 1) on the plane, they announced a choice of two meals and I enquired why did I get one without choice and they told me the second choice was an option only for 'economy plus' !! That was a rude situation....I felt cheated and then insulted . 2) CPH - Nice : The breakfast or the included orange drink gave me an upset stomach and bad case of Hemorroides. 3) I accepted a glass of tomatoe juice and when I asked for a coke with my lunch , the stewardess said I had only right to one drink and would have to pay the rest....really ? - wine used to be free and now a glass costs $4...really ?? 4) I arrived at CPH airport for my transfer .. the flight was yet not on the screen but no one gave any instruction and no officials of any kind were around to enquire....a cleaning crew finally directed me correctly. 5) the security line in New York to board was ridiculously long...someone shouted to take off our smelly shoes...really ?? 6) most were directed to the right with four snaking unending lines to one security check . From time to time others were directly directed ed to the left where there was no line and option of two security checks. Half way through my wait , most were directed to the left and all who were 'late', were let out first to their gate. The whole experience before, on the plane and after was not worth the money...least of all a pleasant one.
Pros: Even though I did not get the seat I paid extra for, it was a great flight.
Pros: The flight from Newark to Stockholm was late, so I was late for the flight to Vilnius, had to recheck-in and wait for 6 hours.
Pros: We got to sit in the emergency aisle so I can't complain about comfort. The staff was really friendly (although they were really rude on the way over 10 days earlier, so I guess we just got lucky with a nice crew for this one).
Cons: You only get one free non-alcoholic drink on this flight and that's really stingy for a 7+ hour a long haul. Drinks should be free on a long haul, especially non-alcoholic ones. There aren't any free small snacks like chips or peanuts. You have to pay for everything and the menu is exorbitantly over priced. It's a cheap and insulting customer strategy. They can save a few bucks in overhead on each customer this way, but they are losing money in the long run because I'll never book with them again due to their tawdry actions. I doubt I am alone.
Pros: Did not use their services much but the stewards seemed nice.
Cons: Flight was delayed, no entertainment, not many food options for people with certain dietary requirements.
Pros: The thoughtfulness and competency of the personnel. I needed wheelchair assistance and found that every was very attentive to my needs and very competent, especially the ones assigned to get me from place to place. Even in Rome, where we had to deplane on the tarmac, I had a young woman and a young man to assist me and they helped me in every way possible.
Cons: I needed a gluten free meal and found it rather dry and unappetizing.
Pros: The food and movies were good.
Cons: Didn't have enough money to sit in a seat with leg room.
Pros: Passengers nice
Cons: Food options not everyone eats chicken
Cons: Not even one bag was included!! And to add a bag is extremely expensive!!! Paid five hundred dkk for one bag!!! Terrible service as well!!!
Pros: Easy embarkation, helpful staff.
Cons: Shock to discover that suitcases were not included in price of tickets purchased online. We had to pay the equivalent of $100 (australian) per case. My seat was extremely u comfortable as the cusihion was misshapen. The male passengers seated behind us were drinking alcohol and became loud and garrulous, making the trip most uncomfortable and unpleasant.
Pros: We were within a reasonable range of on time arriving, although we were delayed 30 minutes at the start due to fueling issues. Crew was average: no problems, no extraordinary acts of kindness. Great selection of movies to watch onboard.
Cons: Tight seats, lousy food, even for airplane food.
Pros: Flight was Ok
Cons: Left till last to board flight. Case taken from me. Asked continually when I wld be taken as I am 83 and recovering from major operation. Told 45 minutes before flight but was taken 10 minutes ahead. Rush has left me very upset.
Pros: I was informed by email the evening before my return flight back to London that the flight had been cancelled. I tried calling multiple SAS offices overnight, and finally reached someone the morning of my flight and was rebooked to a different flight, via Berlin. When I got to the airport the booking hadn't been updated, so I had to go through the entire process again with customer service. Because of the flight cancellation and the difficulties rebooking, I was not able to book my luggage so I was charged a penalty fee at the airport when I was finally checked in for the flight via Berlin, and paid much more for my bag than I should have.
Pros: Food service was very good - and the crew kept going even after we hit turbulence. I'd already been served, but I know from past experience with other airlines that there's nothing worse than smelling the hot food and being told that service is being discontinued,,,,while you're now hungry
Cons: Lisbon airport was stressful, perhaps more guidance before releasing us into the melee. I found an Air Portugal email about Lisbon Airport just now
Cons: The clarity about baggage fees, really unclear and very expensive.
Pros: The crew.
Cons: Fake marketing! They said it will be some snacks for economyXtra, and then 2 hours before the flight sending an email saying that the snakes will be charged! Disappointed!
Cons: I paid Xtraeconomy to have some snacks during the fly, and they end up coming with a trolley to pay! Disappointed!
Cons: The flight wasn't full but still had some people seated next to each other. Flights should allow for social distancing right now
Pros: The crew were very nice overall but one flight attendant in particular was incredible. I didn’t get a name but he was friendly, welcoming, and kind.
Cons: I sat in an emergency row with an empty seat to my left and really did not like how the passenger in the row behind me kept getting up and walking into my row to get his stuff from the bins.
Pros: Clear communication about delays and boarding, comfortable seats, great service.
Pros: Amazing punctuality, both on the way out to Lisbon and on the return to London.
Cons: Cannot really think of anything that needed attention on these flights.
Cons: Did you know the flight was changed?? It moved from Nov 24 to Nov 25. I was never informed of this change that was supposedly made in October.. Even you (kayak) didn’t know bc you still think I took the flight that I booked on your site! I was forced to rebook with another airline and will be expecting a refund and then some and possibly dispute the charge all together.
Pros: Very happy with the service and seat comfort. Thank you
Cons: So many delays, no real info provided. When we had to stay overnight they didn’t mention it would take 4 hours to get our bags which actually never came. Airline industry sucks and deltas one of the worst.
Cons: Not cancelling it
Cons: Avoid Lisbon airport and TAP Air Portugal at all costs. A 1 hour connection at the inefficient Lisbon airport resulted in a 9HOUR DELAY. MISERABLE. Air Portugal didn’t allow adequate connection time.
Cons: Not missing our connecting flight because if flight / airport delays.
Pros: flight was more than 4 hours late!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cons: flight was more than 4 hours late!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pros: on time, food was good
Cons: seats are hard, painful for 7 hours..... crew was very noisy, very rough they kept hitting my arm. male crew hit the back of my seat to wake me up, he took away my food due to me sleeping.
Pros: Very on time, smooth take off and landing and friendly staff.
Cons: Perhaps spirits offered other than just wine. And a vegetarian food option.
Pros: Seats are comfortable and room for pack pack under seats
Cons: Passport control in Lisbon was awful and many people missed their flight in spite of them being made aware of the issue.
Pros: clean and fast
Cons: use airport finger in Lisbon airport
Pros: Movies and friendly crew
Cons: Food was not good Too much meat
Pros: Not much
Cons: When TAP couldn’t get me to Lisbon in time to make my connection they added a flight to Madrid where I waited until 16:00 to fly to Seville. I talked to several TAP representatives and none were helpful or apologetic and they offered me nothing for the problems they caused. I missed my only day in Seville due to this. This trip turned out to be a disaster.
Cons: The plane was very small service was not good and the crew were not that friendly
Pros: Boarding, crew, timeliness, choice of entertainment, modern plane.
Cons: Food could be more inspired, legroom is limited
Cons: The 2 hour delay!
Cons: When the flight was delayed the people at the desk did not make an announcement about the delay, what was causing it and what we could expect. People waiting had to find out through rumors. There was no good communication. We also were unable to choose our seat and were stuck in the two middle seats when there were free aisle seats still available. My controller for the tv didn't fit back into the holder easily at all and my husband got a blood blister trying to force it back in. Headrest to hold my head didn't stay put to give proper support while trying to sleep.
Pros: Flight was delayed leaving Newark so we missed our connection in Portugal which was supposed to take us straight to Venice. Instead TAP gave us a replacement flight to Madrid and then from Madrid to Venice A FLIGHT WITH TWO STOPS IS NOT WHAT WE WANTED OR PAID FOR. Madrid was also delayed and we missed our connection to Venice. We got a new flight from Madrid to Venice and had to wait 5 hours for it. A trip from New Jersey to Venice ended up taking OVER 24 HOURS!!!! Due to the disgraceful disorganization and service of TAP PORTUGA we missed our best friends rehersal dinner a memory we would have loved to have. Extremely disorganized, terrible customer service OH AND WE HAD TO PAY FOR OUR BAGS TWICE to get reimbursed later but I don’t believe anything Tap Portugal says so we’ll see. Staff advice did not align and they were unapologetic for the experience we received.
Cons: Everything. The travel experience was a literal nightmare and not what we paid for. It’s criminal actually.
Pros: They solved the problem of my sit. But i almost have a hurt attack
Cons: When I get to check my tickets they told me that I was in stand by. I have to fight to get my sit.
Pros: Food was ok
Cons: The customer service I received was horrible horrible horrible especially from the check in counter the were very rude . After booking my flight on kayak I called TAP customer service just to make sure that everything was fine .I asked them about luggage they said I had 2 free and a carry on when I got to the airport said I had to pay for the 2 i said no told them that i called TAP they didn't wanna hear it i asked for the manager she I am the manager and you bought a discounted ticket and there's no luggage with this ticket only acarry on in a mean way if you want the you have to pay $90 for each I tried to call TAP can't get through them when they finally got through them the guy confirmed that I ve called it on the records but it said now it's too late to do anything I am already at the airport that I have to pay and contact them later. I wasted good hour and a half on this and I had to pay $180. After all that at the boarding gate they announced that they will call by zone .they called especial need called frequent flyers zone A never called zone B all they said last minute was this is the final call for flight #.... and I was right in front of them and guess who were the people making the announcement yep the same people at the check in counter
Cons: bad experience- The personnal was not that good! Lack of manners! Bording was evryone for himself; people with children left behind, evryone got in, all at once. The food was very bad, usual it is good..I dont know if i would fly again with TAP
Pros: Anything I liked feels inconsequential.
Cons: My wife and I arrived to the airport for our honeymoon extremely excited. We had been saving for our trip to Italy for months, and we were finally going to get things started. Everything fell apart when we went to check in and we were told that my wife couldn’t use her ticket because she had changed her last name. We were told that there was no way that the name on the ticket could be changed because of TSA regulations. Of course, we were also told that we could have changed the name had we purchased a more expensive ticket. In other words, we were lied to and told the issue was regulation, when really they wouldn’t help us because we couldn’t afford a more expensive ticket. The only help we were given was the pleasure of paying over $1,500 more to get my wife on the flight. I am in the process of trying to get this refunded, but as of now we have paid twice for my wife to fly, and neither ticket has been refunded. We may have accidentally broken a rule, but the only function that rule seems to have is to make us pay twice for the same seat. As of now, I would never fly this airline again, and I would warn everyone away from it. I will update this post if TAP does the right thing by two honeymooners.
Pros: Meal was OK.
Cons: TAP changed our seats even though we had paid extra. They were narrow and uncomfortable.
Pros: I liked being able to exit the plane at the end of the flight
Cons: The seats were cramped and it’s upsetting how you can’t select your own. Flying overseas for 7 plus hours it’s best not to be sandwiched in between two strangers, some of which were vomiting the entire flight due to turbulence that the pilot announced would only be minor.
Pros: Fast boarding
Cons: Had to wait forever to find out Gate Number.
Pros: Nice crew
Cons: No VOD No food available in between meals
Pros: the food , drink and the crew
Cons: seats not very comfortable. plane full up
Cons: We booked flight several months ago and it included seating assignment, so we choose our seats. Then when we check-in they had changed them to the last row of the plane. We had received a couple of emails asking for us for option to pay for advance seating. Assume they had changed their policy and now were charging. We had a close connection at LHR and being last off, we almost missed connection. Horrible
Cons: There were no power outlets
Pros: If your traveling with a child they are the best! Legroom was good, seats were confortable, and entertainment system was great.
Cons: Breakfast was terrible but I guess I'm lucky the served it. Didnt like that they changed the baggage policy after I purchased my ticket and wouldnt honor the old.
Cons: No vegetarian option The last seats mean can't lean backwards when someone in front goes backwards :(
Pros: The new Business Class is phenomenal! Best seats I've experienced in a Business Class thus far. Too bad the transatlantic flight from New York to Lisbon is too short to enjoy it longer.
Cons: There is nothing that I did not like, other than that the flight duration was too short. ;-)
Cons: The monitors did not work.
Pros: I was very impressed with the Ground crew who met me off the plane and had already arranged for me to go on a later flight with Emirates. If it had been possible to let me know when I was on the first flight that my onward travel had been arranged then it would have been perfect.
Cons: my TAP Portugal flight from Lisbon to Heathrow was so late I missed my connection to AbuDhabi.
Pros: Some staff were helpful
Cons: To start off our trip we weren't allowed to get on the plane until an hour after our boarding time. After we were allowed on, the air conditioning was not working and continued to sit on the tarmac not even leaving our terminal for another two hours. Within this two hours there were many elderly people asking for help and one specific gentleman whom was in his late 70s, informed the people around him that he had a pacemaker was pleading to get some air conditioning to the point where 6 people on the airplane were fanning him off. It was 90 degrees in the airplane and we had been sitting in the plane without any help even pleading with the attendents to let the elderly off so they did not pass out. Once we reached the 2 hour mark without any ac the gentleman in his late 70s was beginning to lose consciousness and many people had to call the emergency services, and the crew on flight TP214, tried to tell us everything was fine while the plane was pulling away from the terminal ... as they were giving the man oxygen, even though the elderly gentleman had lost the ability to communicate verbally and was about to pass out. They had to pull the plane back off the tarmac fully delaying us 3 hours in the process making us miss our other two flights. Once we were finally in the air for the 6 hour flight our entertainment system was not working so we were left to twiddle our thumbs for the remainder of the trip. It really ruined what seemed to be an exciting trip and I highly doubt we would ever take TAP Portugal ever again or recommend it to anyone no matter the price.
Pros: Everything was perfect! The staff was friendly and the food was nice. I found that there was more leg room than on other airlines.
Cons: I used TAP to depart beautiful Portugal.
Cons: Missed that flight because of previous delay
Cons: Entertainment system wasn't working and will restart itself during 10 minutes EVERY 10 minutes. Very inconvenient. The flight attendants were impolite too.
Pros: The on-board crew was pleasant and professional unlike the check-in staff. Food was ok, landing was smooth.
Cons: The airline makes money by having very low weight allowances on carry-on and checked luggages. The staff at the check in desk act like they are surprised and symphatetic about the overages meanwhile they enforce the weight limits to the gram. Most deplorable of all is the fact that they have one person on staff at a special desk where one can go to pay for the newly discovered overages. This desk and the person assigned to it full time is the proof that the company expects this kind of result before hand. Where on most continental flights the weight limit is usually set at 31 kilograms for checked-in baggages TAP Portugal has a limit of 23kg. Where most companies have no weight limit or around 20kg on carry-on baggage they have 8kg. The overages in weight result in a flat fee of $100 per luggage, even if the luggage is just one kilogram over the allowed limit. The low ticket purchase price is in my opinion a deplorable marketing scheme aimed at getting people to buy their tickets and then be faced with extra charges when it turns out weight alloweances are set at domestic standards.
Cons: I had food poisoning from the ricota pasta I ate in the plane.
Pros: Video was good, seats were good.
Cons: Man doing the check-in in Madrid (site 909) was very rude and unhelpful.
Pros: The tablet selection was very variety.
Cons: The announcement was hard to hear the volume was loud but something not quiet understandable
Cons: Flight was on time and plane clean and in good shape. Crew was very friendly.
Cons: When I booked my flight I was never asked if I wanted to include a piece of luggage so I assumed it was covered, and then I got charged $120 for it at the check-in desk. No apologies whatsoever from the lady, who was pretty rude. I will never fly with them again since the service is not great and this charge made the overall cost of the trip more expensive than traveling with a better airline.
Pros: All the way unti dinner everything went fine. Once dinner started all good things up to now everything went down the drain. The crew were rude, unprofessional and disgusting. Everything else was excellent. Arlindo Fernandez
Pros: Unfortunately there is not one positive thing I can say
Cons: The service was Appalling, this is supposed to be an international flight, I asked numerous times for the WiFi as there is no entertainment on a long haul flight. I asked for water and wine and was more than happy to pay the staff kept telling me they would return and didn’t. I’m not sure what they were always in a hurry to do other than to avoid providing good service. This was not the cheapest flight when I booked and this airline should come with a warning, poor service, equally disappointing food no drinks and no entertainment. If I had know this I would have paid more or flown with an airline that has an acceptable standard for an international flight and the service that should be provided. I feel at fault as I didn’t know an airline like this existed. I just thought it’s european and international and it will be fine. I was truly so uncomfortable and upset. On my way home I was charged $150 euro for my bags which I was under the impression my bags were included. There was no stating of this high cost, once again I would have flown with another airline if I knew of this and didn’t pay leaving America as it said my bags were covered. I hope something is done to make sure it’s clear to customers that this is a horrible and basic airline and it wasn’t cheap. I’m disappointed in all involved and have learnt a lesson but I am dreading this flight home I am about to take. Regards Hannah
Cons: This is a complaint regarding a luggage that was not included in my fare ticket. I was not informed from your company Kayak that the luggage was not included in the price. I had to pay extra money on top of the fare ticket of $150 for just one luggage just because was not mention on the fare ticket. Please give me an explanation of your policy in regard, and please advice people in regard of what I just mention otherwise I think your company tricks people without mentioning clearly that suitcases are not included to lower prices
Cons: No tv for an 8 hour, overnight flight.
Pros: I loved the selection of movies and games. I was surprised to get two meals, both dinner and breakfast; the food was good and appreciated.
Cons: Boarding was a little confusing, but I was happy to get on the plane and have space for my Carry-on
Pros: People and new plane
Cons: We have to take a bust to catch the plane. It ya to drive for ages! We left about 40mins later than schedulled.
Cons: After 2 days at the airport I still waiting for the airline to give me a date and new time for another flight since the airport is having problems after the storms on Wednesday, they don’t have a counter or anything where travelers can ask questions and have problems solve. They keep making you come but with no guarantee of anything. No one knows nothing, it’s very bad the way they are managing the situation.
Pros: Low Fare
Cons: No IFE in Coach
Pros: It is comfortable flight . The problem of air Europa they do not have special arrangements for Halal Muslim food . The sandwich was made with pork .
Cons: The problem of air Europa they do not have special arrangements for Halal Muslim food . The sandwich was made with pork
Pros: Flight crew was accommodating. Moved us to an empty row so our infant child could stretch out and sleep.
Cons: Have to pay to secure seats in advance. No access to a bassinet even though we were traveling with an infant
Pros: I'm a big guy, 6ft 4in, over 300lbs and I had an exceedingly comfortable 6 hour flight. Staff was friendly and just the right amount of interactive.
Pros: Will never fly this airline again
Cons: No complaints besides the seat cushions are so old they are hard as rocks now. No more padding in them.
Pros: Food was good. Crew was friendly but not attentive at all.
Cons: Left late; 40 minutes. The Airbus A340 business class seats from JFK to MAD have a serious design flaw. Three people had their cell phones or iPads slip down the side of the seats, requiring the seats to be disassembled in flight, and getting down on the floor to reach in and get it....if you have small enough hands. Boeing aircraft are far better quality. Noisy aircraft, again, not Boeing quality.
Cons: I am a skyteam member and have platinum status with delta and prior to leaving for my trip I had contacted air europa with my skymiles number and was told baggage was included. Upon arrival to airport my status was ignored and I was refused when asked to speak with a manager. I ended up having to pay 60 euros in baggage fees and then was not allowed to board as sky priority despite showing the airline my status.
Pros: In my opinion this to me was the best customer service experience ever on an aircraft. Crew was polite and attentive. Offered food and drinks which most airlines don't do anymore. A+!!
Cons: Leg room was a bit tight for a 6hr flight
Pros: The airplane was clean, and the staff were correct and professional.
Cons: The seating is very tight. I also didn't appreciate the ongoing videos on the main screens, many of which were distracting in a negative way. Boarding was also a bit chaotic. Rather than call us to the plane by rows, we were asked to form two lines, right at the moment of boarding, and the passengers all had to scramble together and jostle our way through.
Cons: Still haven't received been over 2 days.
Pros: Food was ok.
Cons: Very tight space on longer flight
Pros: The crew was very pleasant.
Cons: Did not like sharing a screen with the entire plane. Wish there was individual screens behind the seats.
Pros: The prive was ok
Cons: Late, disorganized boarding, group pf adolesccentes traveling behind me were very rowdy and on an early morning flight they have to be asked by the flight personnel to be respectful to the other passengers
Cons: Gave conflicting answers and slow status updates when the flight was rescheduled the next day, handled communication of rescheduled connections very poorly. No one, either at the gate or back in Spain, seemed to know what was going on. Will never fly with Air Europa again.
Cons: Website not working. I had to call and was sent a PDF boarding pass without a barcode. I ended queuing at the checkin counters again.
Pros: Almost nothing
Cons: No entertainment per Seat, Small seats and the crew was terrible and not polite
Pros: I was upgraded to business class which was very spacious and comfortable. The chair fully reclined and I was given a pillow and duvet. Details like a travel bag with socks and a toothbrush were a pleasant surprise. I was thrilled that I could charge my devices all at the same time due to ample outlets.
Cons: The food was just okay (only one option) and I had to ring the attendant to ask for water. There was no beverage service on a 7 hour flight and that seemed odd to me.
Pros: Was delayed getting into a gate once we arrived but other than that, overall a good flight.
Cons: People were boarded by standing in a line instead of zones. We stood in line for a good 30 minutes. Also, while standing in line, a gate representative decided to take the back half of the line and move them to the priority line to "expedite the boarding process". As one of the last people in the original line seeing everyone behind me board before me, I was annoyed. This was poor form.
Cons: No outlets!
Pros: The flight was great, had seen some negative reviews. But for me nothing negative to say about air Europa, wonderful seat, great flight crew, everything was on time. Just and overall great experience.
Pros: The movies were good.
Cons: The breakfast was horrible. Just bread and yogurt while firat class got sausages. The flight to madrid was 3 hours late that those with kayovers were scared of missing flights. Inefficient and unprofessional.
Cons: My flight was changed twice after I purchased it and it was delay over two hours. When it finally was time to"board" we found ourselves getting into a packed bus where we needed to stand to get to the actual plain. They never anouced it as such, elder people that night were struggling without previous notice. Very unprofessional and insensitive airline. Never again.
Pros: flight on time
Pros: Overall the experience was pleasant, once we figured out that things were fine. The crew was friendly and the seats are better than United Airline.
Cons: We arrived at JFK early 4 hours before departure, and there was no sign and no one to ask questions. The check-in did not start until 2:30 before departure and there was no announcement.
Pros: The staff was friendly, but that´s about all.
Cons: NO way to fly overseas. I am a 5´0 ft petite woman and I barely had enough room to in my seat, let alone trying to sleep. The window seat was in economy so I did not expect much but I did not expect to have the person in front me in my lap when they put their chair back. The movie player also did not work: sound going in andout, turning off, pausing- it was irritating.
Cons: Airlines provides no customer support. Do not take it. You have been warned. If you need any changes or any cancellations the policies are extremely unfair. Complete garbage.
Pros: The flight was delayed for five hours.
Cons: The waiting.
Pros: I got there
Cons: Be prepared to take a bus to the airplane. No perks of any sort.
Cons: The flight was supposed to leave at 10:05pm. It was inexplicably delayed to 10:35- not a big deal BUT we didn't take off until a little before midnight. We sat on the Tarmac with the bright lights on in the cabin for over an hour (I asked if they could dim or turn off the lights and was given a surrly look by the flight attendant). Boarding was a mess with little method but they did allow families with children on early. Exhausted, with toddler in tow, I was excited for the plane to get going to turn the lights off but no, first there was dinner service. Really? At 1am? Finally, lights out at 1:45 and we could sleep only to be awoken 2 hours before landing with breakfast service. And they weren't even quiet about it. There were no individual tvs in coach and the wifi doesn't allow any streaming (plus it's $50 for the flight) Can't wait for the 6 hour flight back
Pros: Plane made it across the ocean.
Cons: Crowd like cattle at boarding. Seats poorly designed so you can't eat without spilling down your shirt. (Coach, natch.) My (and many) entertainment stations didn't work at all. Pilot didn't say a word the whole time altho lots of turbulence. English announcements fast and incomprehensible. Food really pretty wretched. All this in comparison to other transatlantic carriers at this point is frankly poor. (I do this 4 or 5 times a year. for years.)
Pros: Food portions were generous.
Cons: Possibly the most uncomfortable chairs ever. Entertainment was also outdated.
Cons: The seats didn't have their own screen.
Pros: It was quick
Cons: Porly maintained interiors and tight seats
Pros: Super friendly and accommodating.
Cons: No problems
Cons: the flight kept getting delayed. There was NO AIr Europa represtentatives at the airport. Telephoning them was not helpful. They either hung up on me or kept saying to call back later. Flight ended up being cancelled. Shuttle busses to hotel, which was a a full hour away took us hours to get to. Arrived at hotel at 5 am! Return was said to be at 10am but wasn't until noon for what they told us would be a 3 pm flight. Ongoing lies. Flight didnt leave until 10:30 pm and then there was a 45 min delay on the plane. Plus lots of waiting in lines all day. It was horrible. Missed a full 24hrs in madrid. Hope to get some money back as compensation.
Pros: Went to Barcalona for a wedding, Air Europa was the best price by far. We didn't get delayed once and our checked luggage made the transfer in Madrid.
