I read many bad reviews about this hotel, but I had great time in this hotel. It had good swimming pool, but spa was too old. the room was quite good, clean. Food is not bad... anyway it was good to stay.
It was located at the entrance to the town of Pammukale; three kilometers from Hieropolis and the mineral deposits; view of the surrounding area was beautiful; two kilometers from city center and shopping; staff were extremely polite/helpful; spa treatments/thermal pool had a little something for everybody if you like firm beds then this is the place for you
Location and the Thermal Spa
Proximity to the travertines and the Roman city of Hierapolis
The pool is very lovely. The hot thermal mineral water is relaxing, the hotel is very clan and the breakfast is generous.
its cheap and tolerable for 1 night. Our room had a balcony. I have no idea why this hotel has good reviews (which is the reason we booked). The location on booking.com does not represent where its located - its way down a street from the center of town, took us a while to find it. Hotel itself has decor from the 1970s; the hallway's carpet is stained and dirty; the stairs carpet is coming off the steps. Breakfast was mediocre, not even a buffet - they bring you one plate with a couple of slices of cheese. Couldnt wait to get out of there! Ok for 1 night, but for longer stay close to town.
The staff are so kind , helpfull. Every time we talked each other. The room is confortale, enough for us,with Big bathroom.Hot water can use 24hours.
The staff is very very nice, we having welcome drink & biscuits. He provide valuable info to us as well. We have late check out without charges. They made you warm. I really recommend this hotel to everyone.
Friendly helpful staff. Nice hot breakfast. No hot water.
Room was spacious and clean. Staff was regardful, look like a family, but didn´t speak/understand english. Good value for money. It was a bit hard to find for the first time; it is distant from the most of the other hotels but everything is close in the town.
The location is great and the staff was excellent. We were on a family trip which consisted of husband and wife and one teenager, but because I booked online for three people they provided us with three single beds. This is of no fault to the hotel, it's an internet issue.
very friendly management
Very helpful staff. Good price for the room. And owner give us many excellent suggestion and drive us to the entrance free of charge! Recommended
The hotel proprietors are an engaging and helpful couple and excellent cooks. We had one of two rooms for 4 which was large and airy -- perfect for a traveling family. The hotel itself is immaculate, with and atmosphere conducive to meeting with other guests and sharing stories of common travels. I would highly recommend this hotel both to visitors of Hieropolis and for individuals interested in the not-to-be-missed day trip to Aphrodisias.
very nice, kind family, easy to find the hotel
The staff at this hotel was very friendly. Also their home made dinner was delicious. I would recommend my friends to stay at this hotel if they visit Pamukkale.
The staff -- very friendly and helpful. The garden is shady and pleasant, the pools are refreshing. The owner collected us at the otogar in Denizli and drove us to his pension -- much appreciated. The second pool with the Pamukkale water needs to be cleaned; the first pool (which was clean) is difficult to get into and out of -- they need to re-do the steps (which are very steep) and add a hand rail for safety.
Wonderful friendly service, delicious home cooked food and a room full of character and charm. I can find no fault in this wonderful little gem of a hotel.
The outside garden's a very cozy place to enjoy the sunshine of Pamukkale and the housekeeper of this hotel is very nice & passionate, as well as his wife. btw, luv the white big dog named 'Batto'?!
Melrose House was the best hotel that we stayed at in Turkey. It was my wifes birthday so the owners upgraded and decorated our room for us! The owners were very friendly and helpful - they picked us up from the bus station in Denizil when we arrived, gave us advice on getting around town and made us feel very welcome. Our hotel room was amazing, it was really big and very clean! We wished that we spent more time there. The hotel is a 10 minute walk to the main attractions of Pamukkale. The food at the restaurant was delicious and very reasonably priced. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Pamukkale. Thankyou so much to the hotel owners!
Everything and most of all the kindness of the owners of the hotel (incl. the dog :-). We felt very welcomed at this hotel and enjoyed our stay a lot. Thanks for it! No
Tastefully decorated room and sitting room, overall ambiance and helpful owner and staff; extremely good value for money.
Very affordable. The location, room, breakfast was great.Very friendly and helpful staff. Hassan helped us throughout our brief stay. We were supposed to go to Fethiye the following day, but decided to visit Patara instead. He helped us with our accomodation and transport. (the place we stayed at in Patara was great !) We felt almost like part of the family at Venus. Thank you so much! no complaints whatsoever
Exellent value for money. The staff is all very helpfull and go out of their way to help the guests. The rooms are clean and comfortable with good beds. The bathrooms is a bit small but more than adequate. This was our second stay and the hotel and we can highly recommend it.You can also have a lovely home cooked dinner in the eveving. Liked everything
Friendly staff, nice, simple breakfast, nice rooms
Hotel staff was helpful and provided various information on what to do, where to see, how to get to the place and etc. Same breakfast everyday.
Staff and owner were very helpful in getting the most from our visit to Efes. Rides to and from bus station and tour sites really made our visit hassle-free. And the food was great! Can't think of a thing. Wish we could have stayed longer.
I really liked their hospitality, felt like home We had to pay cash iso credit card which was inconvenient cause I was not prepared for cash payment
convenient; was met at the town limits by owner on motorbike to lead us to the hotel. Family-run.
Excellent staff, very nice and in the centre. Clean and good breakfast. No credit card accepted.
We loved the proximity to Heirapolis, the location is great. Also, the overall cleanliness in the hotel is good. There's a swimming pool in there, which we didn't get to use mostly because of our short visit to Pamukkale, but this place is good value. There isn't much to not like around here.
This hotel is an outstanding experience - The owners took a personal interest in ensuring that each guest was fully aware of the local attractions.
Pleasant small family hotel with wonderful view to traventines. Good meals, stuff. -
lacation and staff everything was good
Convenient location and friendly staff.
Very nice owner. good sized pool, excellent food too near to the road.
The family that runs the hotel is very friendly and welcoming. They even helped us find a hotel in Cappadocia. I highly recommend you stay for dinner. The dinner was delicious and the price was great! We would have loved to stay longer but had to leave for our next destination.
Stay if you'll like to experience true Turkish Hospitality. The room rate was also great value. Room was spacious and very clean. The outdoor balcony was a nice touch.
Excellent location, the owner is extremely helpful and the buffet breakfast is excellent. It's exactly as we expected from the reviews and it is likely one of the better hotels in Pamukkale. It's not a large western hotel chain, so adjust your expectations before you go and you will not be disappointed. Understand that this hotel is around 30 years old and it doesn't appear to have had much updated during this time. Its like walking into a time warp with the room decor. However, the rooms are clean, the owner is helpful, the breakfasts are good, and its near the trail for the travertines (2 min walk).
Quaint little hotel. Well kept. Great breakfast and view from dining area. Loved the pool on a hot day. Owners willing to give that little extra that some do not give. Reasonable price.
everything is perfect, good price, good location, clean room ,friendly staff, above all the breakfast on the terrace is wonderful !!
Close to Pamukkale site. Room clean and cosy. Staff friendly and helpful. No view on Pamukkale site.
Very close to the Pamukkale travertines. Small family running hotel. Nice restaurant on the terrace.
Everything about this hotel is very good!! Friendly staff, good location, value for money, nice food and the owner even offer us a room to rest while we waiting for our overnight bus to cappadocia. Thank you so much Ozbay Hotel.
Staff is excelent, they make everything they could to make you feel home. Location is very near of Hierapolis (5m walking Distance), I stay at least 30 nights each year in hotels and this is not a 3star hotel for sure, maybe 1Star perharps, But for this price I probally stay here again if I return.
Very friendly staff. We arrived in the middle of the night, and were kindly let in to rest. Room was clean, with heat and hot water. The hotel is very close to the entrance of the travertines (20 meters). Highly recommend!
the people, staff, were amazing and very ingaging. the beds very uncomfortable. Very hard
hotel staffs are really friendly and welcome which is very good. Location was good.
We got to the hotel around 6am and the owner check us in, very nice. Great location, everything are great and people at Pamukkale are very friendly None
Staff was very professional and well organized. Everything I wanted to do they provided with perfection. I did not need to use the pool but it seemed it was unavailable to clients (leafs floating around, etc.).
Staff was excellent. Especially Youssef, the scenery was great and the food was also good. We had an opportunity to taste nice wines too.
I found the advertising and photos nicer on your website than in reality. Fine, price was low but I have been surprised when arriving. It is a bit 'vétuste' as we say in French.
friendly , helpful staff,
swımmımg pool and locatıon no
In general it is good although the home-made food may not be tasted good for some people.
Good location, small but very clean room. Very nice home cooked meal at night. The owner (Adam) and his wife were very helpfull and friendly. Although we arrived rather late, they insisted in prepairing a very delicious meal for a fantastic price! None
The bedroom was clean and warm - even central heating was provided which was a reall nice feeling when coming in from a cold night out walking. The bathroom was very clean and had plenty of hot water. The bed had a duvet cover which was a surprise having travelled to many different hotels throughout Turkey and been only offered a blanket and a sheet. The host and hostee were very accommodations and the food was nice and served hot. It is very close to the sightseeing areas of pammukule. Overall a very good priced hotel with excellent services given. no
Everything,but especially the hospitality.
The location is perfect for the Travertines, the food was excellent Turkish food and well priced. The hosts were personable and helpful.
Adam Bey and his family were so accomodating. We felt at home the moment we arrived. Thank you Adam Bey. For the drive to Pamukkale and the best lunch!
Nice staff, good food in breakfast and dinner. Very near the Travertines and the bus stop from Denizli. I´d reccomend it. too much sunlight at first hours in the morning.
Great little place to stay if you have a tight budget. I booked a dorm bed and was given a master bedroom that was quite large and also had a nice and large bathroom as well. Walking distance to Pamukkale. Security was not ideal - no lockers - and reception desk was not open 24 hours.
Meeting other travelers. Our mattress was worn and not too comfortable.
I liked that hotel location is very good for traveling to Pamukkale and also to Denizli. Rooms are clean and nice, hotel staff is also nice and very friendly! It is good to stay there if you love countryside and want to be fare away from noisy daily life.
The people were very nice and accommodating. The food, whilst very nice, was slightly overpriced.
Comfortable, clean and spacious room. A cozy living room with free wi-fi. Good turkish breakfast. We arrived at 7h30 am and the room was ready for us. The owner also drove us to the bus station. Great place, no dislike.
The owner antıcıpated our needs. For example, there was someone at the major bus statıon lookıng for guests of the hotel -- obvıously also drummıng up busıness. He led us to the ıntercıty bus to take to our hotel, and had someone waıtıng at the rural ıntersectıon to stop the bus and lead us to the hotel. He suggested excursıons and transported us to the travel agency offıce for our return trıp. Well, lıke most lower-prıced pensıons ın Turkey, the shower arrangement ıs not separated by a partıtıon from the rest of the bathroom facılıtıes but ıt was a comfortable sıze room.
The owner, Hasan Ali Guzel, was very courteous and friendly, and looked after us throughout our stay. Our dinner, cooked by his wife, was also quite tasty. Thanks for the Raki! Rooms, while basic as expected for the cost, were also clean and spacious. The activities recommendation for Fethiye was also spot on! The rooms were a little cold (same as every other hostel we've stayed), but thankfully the room a/c had warm heating settings. The lounge could be slightly cleaner;
Great hospitability, hotel is close to the Pamukkale/Hierapolis entrance (only about 10 - 15 min. walk), dolmus from Denizli stops about 3 min from the hotel and the main village bus station (otogar) is about 7 - 10 min walk in the direction of the Pamukkale/Hierapolis entrance. In April Pamukkale/Hierapolis it is not soo busy. Entrance to Pamukkale/Hierapolis is 20tl (in 2010) per person. In April Pamukkale has slightly colder climate and it rains there more often, so take some light jacket or cardigan if you are traveling in April.
Friendly staff, brightly coloured place, excellent home cooking, free internet, very good value for money Distance to town may be a bit far for some people. I personally enjoyed the 5-10 minutes walk to the travertines
The family that ran this hotel were extremely welcoming and provided excellent service. We were given a complimentary drop-off to the local dolmus stop by the male owner, and also had a series of wonderful meals cooked by his wife.
