As an American in Paris, to be welcomed into The HPA is, in a profound sense, to be welcomed into the heart of France . . . into Parisian luxury. I must, in truth, admit that I am a person of exacting standards (my professional life requires such standards). Thus, for me to state highly complimentary remarks about a hotel amounts to deeply resonant truth. And too, I am deeply aware that the world contains people who have great means and those who have little or no means. Given this as background, my fervent wish is that all persons could experience the luxurious delight of The Hotel Plaza Athenee.
