What are the pros of staying at Hotel Ramey?
Beautifully renovated hotel, comfortable rooms, very friendly staff, communal shower and toilet services very clean. Very fair price. Spacey room clean location near the Sacre Coeur. Great location and good price. It's clean and modern. All went well. Clean room, comfy, spacious, nice and professional staff. The room setup is great. The hotel is located in my favorite area in Paris, close to every facility and metro station. I choose the room with private bathroom, it was proper, with a fantastic view, very warm and cozy. The staff has always been super kind, supportive and helpful, even at late night! Recommended! Clean, great staff, great location. I loved the room! It was comfy and clean for a good price. The rooms are beautifully decorated and warm and the staff was really kind and helpful , I accidentally booked the shared bathroom option and asked to change and they kindly did. Perfect size of the room. The location was great, with a window-side view of the Sacre Coeur Cathedral. The receptionist was really friendly and we could drop our bags before check in as we got there earlier. The room was pretty decent, the bed was comfortable but if you are big like me you would prefer a king size as it was a bit tight for two big people. Perfect location in very nice neighbourhood. Staff was really helpful. Rooms were cosy and spacious. I was moved to room with amazing view of Sacre Coeur on request, I was very grateful for that !! Everything was excellent. Coming to Paris, I was looking for a reasonably priced hotel located not too far away from the center and which would have a private bathroom. Hotel Ramey met those expectations. Even though it is located quite close to the infamous Barbes-Rochechouart neighborhood, the area around the hotel is nice, with a lot of restos, bars and a couple of supermarkets. Sacre-Coeur and Montmartre are a 10-minutes walk from the location. Moreover, the metro is around the corner as well. The room seemed to be huge, when comparing it with similar variants in Paris. It was clean and had a large window, so I quite liked it. It was amazing! To start with, I got an excellent spacious room with a lovely view, a king-size bed and a huge bathroom. The staff - a gentleman working on reception and a cleaning lady - were extremely nice, friendly and welcoming. The location is also perfect, cosy area with lots of bars/shops, etc. Sincerely recommend this hotel! Clean and near a bus stop and metro. Great location with plenty of bars and shops nearby. Metro and buses are in a couple of minutes. The room was spacy and clean with a comfortable bed. Additional THANKS for the help with my delayed baggage :) Huge room, not sure why it's billed as an 'economy single room' as it certainly is not! Easy check-in, nice bathroom, close to Château Rouge line 4 metro station and Sacré-Coeur, as well as a nearby a Carrefour and plenty of restaurants. The building is very authentically Parisian with winding staircases, high ceilings and a traditional juliet balcony. If you're looking to feel like a local for a few days it is definitely a place to try out! I am very much satisfied with my stay there. The room was good and other facilities were comfortable. The staff at the reception was very nice. Staff was very nice. Thoughtful furnishings in room, comfortable, noise-cancelling window. Gorgeous bathroom. Would stay here again!
What are the cons of staying at Hotel Ramey?
6 staircases and no elevator, not ideal with luggage Area around the metro did not feel 100% safe at night. Bathroom not in the room but if you're know it its not a problem. Why no restaurant within the facility. One more towel per person would have been perfect! Rooms are not very isolated, and there is noise during morning coming from the room service. Would be nice if there is an elevator, making carting luggage easier. The sheets come off the mattress and the duvet cover didn’t close. And the heat was broken so it was extremely hot. I didn’t like the location, despite having some good restaurants and cafes around I found it far from the center, it is not bad but personally for someone that comes from a smaller city for me it is not doable to do every single day 20/30 mins of metro to go from location to location, yes it is near the sacre coeur but it is still far from some locations I had in mind. It is also extremely noisy , there was not one day I could sleep well , you can hear noise from the outside and even from the inside the hotel , you can hear people flushing toilets , alarms going off , and also there is no elevator, the bathrooms are also not renovated and kind of old and the room’s floor wasn’t very clean, unfortunately I do not thinking it was a good value for money. It’s a bit cold when I stayed in the room, and I didn’t know how to turn on the heater. I know it's a Parisian thing but my room was on the 6th floor, and there are no elevators, so this was obviously the less unpleasant thing about the stay. However, we planned our days well so we would only need to walk up the stairs once a day. That could be considered an exercise, looking on the bright size. The room temperature was a bit too high without the possibility to change it. But the open window helped :) no elevator so 6 floors to climb , outside toilet and shower. The stairs. The area itself seemed a bit sketchy, lots of people seem to aimlessly wander around the metro station and surrounding streets after dark. Apart from Sacré-Coeur it isn't a very touristy area and you will stick out like a sore thumb, so keep your wits about you. Area can be noisy with drunk people, restaurant-goers and the constant screeching of mopeds. The windows are soundproofed so you can close them but it can get very humid without them open so keep that in mind. Also there wasn't a bin meaning I had to leave my rubbish on the floor, cleaners were very good but I didn't like making them have to pick rubbish up off the floor. The location was a very weird area of Paris. At the same time, the Reception was never available there, so I only saw the reception the first time I arrived (after 5 minutes waiting and trying to call someone!) he gave me the key and then disappeared. I stayed there for 3 days but I did not see the reception there in any of these days, even though I approached the reception every single time I was going in or out of the hotel.. He was there ONLY for check-in and Check-out but not other times. This added to the bad area, made me feel very very unsafe during my stay there. The room should have a fan, it was bit hot during night. Street were a bit noisy so I didn't open the windows. I think providing a fan at night would have been amazing. No AC required opening the window, which was fine and easy, but the street was always loud.

Request a Room with a View
Several guests recommended requesting a room with a view of the Sacre Coeur, as it offers a lovely outlook and enhances the overall experience.
Be Mindful of the Neighborhood
While the hotel is close to Sacre Coeur and Montmartre, some guests found the area around the closest metro station (Chateau Rouge) to be a bit intimidating, especially after dark.
Consider Room Selection
If space is a priority, be aware that some guests found the rooms to be a bit small, so it may be worth considering this when selecting a room.
Be Prepared for Stairs
The hotel has six staircases and no elevator, which could be challenging for guests with heavy luggage or mobility issues.
Check the Room Facilities
Some guests noted that essential facilities, such as an iron board, were not available in the rooms, so it may be helpful to check with the reception for such amenities.
Be Aware of Noise Levels
Several guests mentioned that the area can be noisy, especially with street noise and the lack of soundproofing in the rooms, so consider this if you are sensitive to noise.
Take Advantage of the Location
The hotel's location offers easy access to the metro and buses, as well as proximity to restaurants, grocery stores, and pharmacies, providing convenience for guests.
Consider the Season
As some guests found the room temperature to be too high without the possibility to change it, it may be helpful to plan for ways to manage the room temperature, especially during warmer seasons.
Be Mindful of Check-in Hours
Some guests experienced issues with late check-in, so it's advisable to agree on check-in hours in advance to avoid any inconvenience.
Plan for Luggage
With no elevator available, it's important to plan for carrying luggage upstairs, especially for rooms on higher floors.
