The Résidence des Arts combines the comfort and quiet refinement of a typical Parisian apartment, with the services of a modern luxury hotel. The decor and furnishings are very much in the French tradition, with lots of antiques and charming old pieces introducing guests to the delights of French culture.
room was very clean, location - great!
small rooms, reception is in another building, air-con was not enough even for a tiny room we had. i did not really understand why our room was called superior. for 180 eur a night (no brkfst) it was too small. reception staff was not very interested in helping.
The location was excellent, situated on a lovely street with many shops, restaurants and metro stops nearby.
The mini refrigerator in my room was not working. I tried to have the problem corrected but the hotel staff never did attempt to fix this issue.
Small dark room. Clothes fell of hangers all the time in wardrobe. Sink plug jammed. Staff failed to correct. Began to be smelly.
The hotel has an excellent location, especially for younger people looking for the energy of the Latin Quarter. Very close to Metro and RER, and plenty of enexpensive (for Paris) restaurants and clubs nearby that are open well into the morning. The staff was fluent in English and were very friendly and helpful. The Junior Suite was quite spaceous, being double the size of the smaller rooms.
The noise from the clubs below make it a must to keep the windows closed, even at 4 am. Fortunately, the windows do a pretty good job of shutting out the sound.
the hotel was in an excellent position, with cafes , bars and The Notre Dame within a few minutes walk. great position, but very quiet in the hotel.
i would have liked tea and coffee making facilities
the location was very good
it was located above an irish pub and next to another one with lots of people making lots of noise until the morning. for the same reason, the whole room was full of cigarette smoke coming from the pub, especially at night so that we had to open the windows to clear out the smoke. The entire hotel smelled bad and old cigarettes and the room itself was very small and the bathroom even smaller. I would say it is not fair to rate this hotel three stars, rather two.
