The young gentleman on reception was lovely, really helpful, he made our stay really pleasant. Room was clean and quite large.
compare to other Parisian hotels it is new, however it is "Ikea" new, do not think it is a design hotel...It is convenient if you are staying for couple of days, not the kind of hotel where you can have the ultimate Parisian experience though...
when arrived we have been told that our reservation was cancelled, surprisingly the same incident happens to our other friends as well... after giving us an hour long stress, somehow the receptionist succeded to find a double room on the first floor -which she called "a great favor"-, although on my initial reservation I clearly requested a twin room on the 3rd or 4th floor to avoid the noise..
The place where the hotel is situated, the contemporary look
No thing i didn't like at all ...
The room design is nice. The black&white scheme makes for a clean, modern look. We got upgraded to a "double lux" room, which I assume is slightly bigger than a standard room (though it only had one window, while the other rooms had two). The bed was very comfortable.
Some compromises seem to have been made for the sake of design: no stationary, no shower curtain, no alarm clock. Despite the lack of an alarm clock, there was no chance of sleeping in: there is a church right across the street that starts tolling its bells at 8am. It's a bit of a walk to the metro.
Cool hotel, nice design, free internet, hot staff
No drawer space for clothes, could not switch on just bedside light
