10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing view, extremely spacious room, fast wifi, great staff and service
Cons: Could improve food quality (I did not want to take buffet but they said a la carte would take a long time), credit card machine did not work (already known from other reviews: they said telephone line did not work)
10.0 Excellent

9.6 Excellent
Pros: The property is beautiful and with great views. Deluxe rooms are lovely and spacious with a private balcony. The staff is very nice and the food was good. We got the option of private dinning at the restaurant which was lovely experience. The spa was good and they made our anniversary really memorable by there sweet gestures. Overall a superb stay and would highly recommend this property in Paro.
Cons: Would prefer more food options.
7.5 Good
Pros: Beautiful location and architecture
Cons: Rooms very very cold, barely any WiFi, food wasn’t nice
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was the last hotel on our trip. We had particularly chosen this hotel for its location. We saw the photos and they were exactly like the real - actually less beautiful than the actual views from the hotel. I had informed them beforehand that we were celebrating our wedding anniversary - and oh boy did they make it special???? YESSSSS We got many surprises upon checking-in and my wife's happiness knew no limits. The room was decorated, which most of the hotels do. But what followed in the next 2 days was beyond our imagination. It was like our family had made the arrangements for the celebration!!! We got a candlelight dinner in a cabin specially decorated for us, the Hotstone spa bathtub was awesomely decorated by the staff, they lit candles everywhere, they wished us, in the same manner, our friends would. Screaming with joy!!!!! My wife totally enjoyed the time we spent here. What can I say I am a happy man!! And upon checking out they made us wear the White scarf - which is a high form of honour in Bhutan. We were humbled. Thank you Naksel family, we will see you again for sure :) :)
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely fantastic experience. Would especially recommend Hotel Khamsum for female travellers. The location is a three minute walk from the main street with all the restaurants and shops and less than a minute away from the main taxi stand. The staff was extremely helpful and efficient, please talk to them as they will be able to give you directions and tips about the town, and even taxi rates etc. The breakfast was fresh and healthy, eggs are available to order (the cheese omelette is great!) If you're going for the Tiger's Nest trek, tell reception the night before and they will pack an early morning breakfast for you. Excellent value for money, would definitely stay here again.
6.3 Good
Pros: The room was very clean and tidy. also the location was good.
Cons: The payment system, even though they have a credit card machine But It didn't work. It took me almost an hour to settle the payment. they expect their guest to pay cash But these days people rarely travel with huge amount of cash. also they have the facility for currency exchange But you have to exchange at least 100 usd. So I had to exchange 200 usd for my 120 usd Room rent. and eventually I ended up 80 usd worth Bhutan money with No idea What to do with those as I left early Morning around 5.30 am and every shop was closed. Also the wifi was not good. may be my Room was on the corner. Anyway i expected better services from the hotel stuffs on settling payment.

2.9 Mediocre
Pros: The hotel just did not meet even the basic requirements of a Le Meridian property. The hotel was not even clean and the rooms were dark and dingy. The food was terrible and the restaurant had food and litter on the floor. Overall a very expensive but terrible experience
8.3 Excellent
Pros: It’s located st a very nice place
Cons: The food was not up to mark not that it was bad but just a few more touches required
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The location- spellbound by the beauty of the place .it is picture perfect. The architecture - unique, inspired by Buddhist culture . The highlight is the Stupa in the middle of the property which stands out with a night lighting.
Cons: A.The breakfast spread wasnt really great ..with limited choices and not really what you expect in a Le Meridian hotel. B. The hotel is about 15 mts distance from Paro town and you would need a taxi to commute and the local taxi charged 200 Nu. The hotel Front Desk offered us help one such time, by asking us to use their taxi for which they would charge us the same rate as local taxi. We confirmed the same with the driver as well before boarding the taxi and took the one way drop to town. However it was billed at 1200Nu one way in the final bill and they refused to reduce it despite us highlighting and we ended up paying it. The staff may be working for a reputed hotel I really did not get the feel they really have been trained well to be compassionate and to listen to a client. There were quite a few instances where they were keen to repeat that even a glass of milk for the baby is chargeable ( 300 Nu + taxes) . Little things like these and how you say the things go a long way in differentiating brands.
10.0 Excellent

8.8 Excellent

8.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff listen to feedback and make every effort to address any concern so as to make my stay very comfortable. The cleanliness of room and towels etc. Is very good. The shoe cleaning service is excellent.
Cons: The toilet drainage system may have some challenge as at times as there is a strong ordour in the toilet. The restaurant menu can include some Chinese or Thai menu will be good. Too much Indian cuisine which may not suit international guests.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The location was on the river it was lovely

Cons: The places needs renovation, its a little dated and it is a little far from the town.
7.9 Good
Pros: View from the room
2.5 Mediocre
Pros: The place is very far from Paro town/airport. Although the hotel details on booking.com said that the hotel will provide free airport drop, when we reached the hotel, we were informed that there was no such facility and that we would have to pay extra for airport drop!!! Further we learnt from the staff that we were going to be the only guests that day in the hotel!!! The number given in the online hotel details is of Thailand.... calling for directions meant an international call... Finally we decided to look for some other hotel to stay.
5.4 Okay
Pros: + nice forest view from the room + clean bed and bathroom linens + staff not competent but pleasant
Cons: - the resort has aged, rooms and public areas are old and poorly designed. - we felt like we were staying in an abandoned place, no other guests, lost and confused staff, zero presence of manager or supervisor. - lacquered wooden floor is dangerously slippery, most of the light switches weren’t working. Hot water in bath is on and off all the time. Empty mini bar! Writing desk with papers that has strains everywhere - restaurant empty all the time, street food in Bangkok is way much better than their Thai food. - no privacy in the room, since there is no guest in the resort, staff had plenty of time to laugh & scream close to our room - on the first day, we had early flight and wanted to catch up on sleep but this was just not possible. Reception is unattended most of the time. Housekeeping never knock, they would just come in. No go for a resort who charges $240 a night ! - On the morning of check out, we were told the credit machine is broken and that we have go the town, withdraw local currency and come back to settle the amount - the bill was close to $1000. After few minutes of arguments, we found out that the machine was actually working, it was just that they preferred cash. This insane, because of this we almost missed our flight! I will write to booking.com because they also charged me additional 3% credit card fee on top of the rate I booked through booking.com I recommend not to book this resort!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Almost everything. The entire staff especially the manager - Ms. Choney Dema - ensured everything is perfectly taken care of - the cleaning of rooms, the restaurant service, the food quality. It was a home away from home. This was my first solo travel and I loved the place.
Cons: The approach road is not good but the hotel has nothing to do with it. The trek from the base point is good if you don't have luggage.

5.8 Okay
Pros: Good location.
Cons: Reservation not found at check-in, but booking.com received a no-show note! Construction outside my window. No bottled drinking water. (Left outside the door later.) No hot water. No one at reception when checking out. Door to main building locked in the morning--had to negotiate the construction area to get down to the door where cars pull up. (The driver returned later to pay my bill.) My flight was scheduled for 7 a.m., which information was provided at check-in.
7.9 Good
Pros: The location is very good but compare to other hotels in Thimphu, this hotel is bit expensive. Room space is not wide enough with ordinary furniture and curtains. Bathroom is clean and good enough.
Cons: Most unlikely is the dishes. It’s pretty ordinary with very high price. For the buffet there is not enough options to choose. Overall the food is very ordinary with very high price.
7.5 Good
Pros: Clean Friendly Staff Breakfast
Cons: Restaurant closes by 8 No options for food cafe etc No fan
