From the front desk personnel which includes people that greeted you are very friendly and made me feel at home. Whether they speaking to you in person and over the phone they exceeded my expectations. Overall stay was excellent. Prompt and well informed with flight information since I have to picked a family member, they have services that will accomodate your needs. They have a nurse in house, thats an A+ for me even if I did not avail for that services, my sister was diabetic so at least I know there is help if we need one. Breakfast was okay but not much for a breakfast but I was expecting authentic foods for breakfast as choices. Coming from a different you are craving for filipino food for breakfast but service was always excellent wherever I go. My sheets are changed everyday Oh my gosh! thats an A+ since my sister has allergies, she never had any symptoms nor did I got any allergies from linens. I brought work with me so internet was my link to the other part of the globe but it was not free. It was reasonable but that was the only thing that I did not have. The place was very spacious and clean, safe and very friendly. This place is highly recommended and it is very accesible to malls and for dinning. Thank you.
All things was great at this hotel. I cannot think of anything that would have made my stay better. Its close to the Mall. There are many places to get a bit to eat. The staffs was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. It easy to get a taxis transportation if need, but everything we needed was nearby. Only 45 minutes away from the airport.
I have stayed at Discovery Suites four times. The service is great. They have a fine exercise facility. The suites are clean and comfortable. It is located close to SM Mega Mall and The Podium.
This was my 5th stay at Discovery Suites, I will not stay anywhere else while I am in Manila. You are treated like a family member returning home. 5 star service!!!
Check-in is at 2pm. I arrived with a friend from the province very tired at 6am. Had breakfast at a nearby McDonalds while staff prepared a room. Allowed early check-in at 7am. Front desk staff very friendly and accommodating, Always greeted by the bell hops with a greeting and smile. Very nice lobby. Our suite was great! Very nice kitchen (fully equipped with frig., microwwave, coffeemaker, pots, dishes, utinsils, etc.), living area, desk, bedroom and bathroom. It was just like a 5 star hotel back in the U.S. The bathroom had a separate bath and shower. All the typical ammenities were included. The queen size bed was VERY comfortable. We didn't have an ironing board in the room and when asked for one, it was delivered in minutes. When also asked for extra sheets, they delivered them within minutes. Thinking we were cold, staff asked if we would like the temperature in our room to be adjusted. The location of this place is perfect! Within walking distance to SM Mega Mall and Robinsons shopping center, all within 1 to 2 blocks. No taxis needed, however, no problem in getting one. Eateries are everywhere, the Podium is right across the street from the hotel, Starbucks next door and also across the street, McDonalds and Shakeys Pizza a few steps away. The hotel is located in a not so busy street. We felt safe and secure in the hotel and walking the streets in the evening. OH MY, breakfast was included in the price of the room and we had a buffet breakfast on the 22nd floor that was to die for! Again staff was very pleasant! This hotel made an everlasting impression on me and next time I travel back to the Philippines with family, we will always stay here!!!
You are treated like a family member. Excellent customer service, They pay attention to the smallest detail. The hotel is located in the perfect spot, close to shopping, food, and night life. I visit the Philippines two times a year and this is the only hotel I use.

had a great experience staying here. very close to everything you need. walking dist to podium and mega mall. cabs are easy to get. rooms are nice and spacious. im from los angeles and it felt like having all the comforts of home that u are used to if you are from america. the staff are mostly girls and they were all really cute! i think they only hire good looking girls, but hey thats great for a guy like me. the rooms are all modern and the beds/pillows are very soft. anytime i called for room service of any kind, they were all fast and courteous. i will definitely like to stay here again
Discovery Suites is spitting distance from the ADB (which uses the hotel a lot). It's very convenient to 2 Starbucks, the Mega Mall, 7-11 and lots of restaurants. The rooms are little suites, with kitchen facilities and a very large bathroom with rain shower (low pressure) or hand held shower-attachment tub (no curtain can = wet floor, hot water supply is not limitless). There are 2 televisions with full cable packages and broadband internet for a fee ($ 15/day). Lighting in the desk area is rather weak (I had to unplug the desk lamp to plug in my laptop) and one could wish for a real lobby in which to wait for cars and people, but room-wise, it's a great location and very acceptable rooms, especially if visiting the ADB.
Location---access to different places. The room we stay smells like it's been used as a smoking room---Did request a non-smoking room.
I was very pleased with the size/design of the rooms assigned to me, and my daughter and son-in-law. They were roomy and very comfortable. The only thing - I believe it's not very visible. Many cab drivers did not know its location, there was not a giant hotel sign.
Staff were friendly but poorly trained. Buffet was good but very limited. Definitely not worth paying extra for. I stayed at this hotel years ago, so I didn't hesitate to book a room there. I've tried all their rooms. I've stayed in their 1, 2 and 3 bedrooms for days at a time sometimes. When in Manila, I would normally stay at the Peninsula, Shangri-la or Crowne Plaza, sometimes for a few days; other times for a couple of months. I was looking for a hotel with an indoor pool and I thought the Linden would be perfect from what I remembered. This stay was a complete disappointment and disaster. There were cockroaches on the wall & floor in the room when we woke up the next morning. The toilet was situated right by the door, so when someone opens the door, it would hit you. The night stands were bed level and very close to the bed. When you turned to your side, you would hit the sharp edges of it. The buffet was very limited and the servers had to be flagged down for the simplest thing like coffee or water. No one approached us the whole time we were having breakfast. The floor was slippery and therefore, posed a danger. Service was lacking throughout the hotel and indifferent. We requested turn down service and it was never provided. You don't get value for your money and sad to say, I'll never stay at this hotel again. The service and the hotel was like night and day from what it used to be. It has gone down considerably.

I like the convenience of having the kichenette and the living room.The procimity of the hotel to the shopping malls is great too. They charge you for extra towels and linens,phone use for local calls.
The motel was fine, I had not read the fine print about tax charges and was a bit disappointed to know that it would be so much more than I had planned on.
The 2 BR Suite was of good size for the number of guests approved by the hotel. Staff service was good, prompt and courteous. Rooms in Tower 1 require some modernization for today's standards. This is planned for 2011 according to information by the hotel. Tower 2 rooms have already been refurbished. The breakfast buffet is sufficient, but could have more variety. The exchange rate PHP/USD used by the hotel is an issue, as it increases the USD rate confirmed by booking.com by abt. 10% . But after pointing this out,one agreed to use the daily rate to settle the bill.
I like this Hotel,,, the rooms are spacious and very clean and very comfortable and the service is excellent... All of the staff from the front desk to the personnel that come to room and clean room and pick up laundry and personnel in dining room are all very nice and friendly to me....I am very comfortable at this Hotel and the Staff... I recommend this Hotel.. I know I will stay there again...

It was a room. Hotel is old and needs renovation. I'm sure there are leaks in the bathroom behind the shower walls. Convenient to the airport at 5am.
I could not find anything wrong with this properties amenities, customer service and their focus on customer satisfaction I have only found in 6star properties and exclusive resorts. I would definitely make this my first destination for business and family, I would also recommend Dusit Thani-Manila to all my colleagues local and abroad. I came to this property for 2 reason's, 1st: came recommended by a family friend which I trusted and thankfully took her advice, 2nd: for our honeymoon getaway, which is close to everything(e.g. shopping, airport, other friends and easily accessible to public transportstion(e.g. Uber, Grab, taxi, buses, jeepney and tricycle). I would highly recommend this hotel, the frontdesk staff and concierge are well above my expectation but over staff members we were awesome. I wish I could've stayed longer but I had to get back to reality, but I can't wait for my next visit next year for my first year anniversary and to bring my extended family to experience true customer service.

The old rooms are very bad. The moldy carpeting and musty smell will make you sick. The new rooms are nice. But they are also carpeted, and even though the carpet is new, it still smells. Stay away if you have allergies. I was initially sent to the dungeon upon arrival (old room), but was then upgraded to a new room after insisting AND paying extra. The Thai restaurant excellent. The Japanese restaurant should add traditional western wines to its menu - i.e. French, Italian, Spanish wines. The sushi is mediocre. Carpet is not a sustainable building material. Carpet accumulates dirt, allergens and mites deep within its fibers. Moreover, carpet is made of petrochemicals, it does not decompose in landfills and is generally not recycled. The room's flooring material should be tile.
Breakfast was very good and staff pleasant It's an older hotel! Way over priced! This hotel should be a $60-80 hotel! Unless they have newer rooms I haven't seen, mine was old but hot water was great for Philippines!

I asked for them for a cab and was charged 40 dollars for a 4 dollars ride to the airport. When I said I was not paying I was promptly told it was already charged. At this point I didn't have a lot of time to argue since I had to go to the airport.
Employees goes extra mile to give a good customer service , definitely my 25 th anniversarry we will stay in Dusit Manila, and everytime a family or friend will visit Philippines I will recommend Dusit hotel I really enjoy staying in that hotel.not to mention I came 14 hours ahead of my flight and Dusit was fully book but they still find a way to accommodate me that was 12 midnight and they just want to make sure I can rest that night after 20 hours flight . N/A
It is only good for night life, adult guests. It was clean and staffs are friendly. Location wise is great for travelling via air. It was close to the airport and they have a shuttle free of charge. I wasn't happy with their centralized A/C. It was so cold and it was hard for my young kids. Their room phone is useless, no one answers from the front desk. There was really nothing for the kids to do in there. Price is expensive. the Rbar breakfast don't have much to offer.
The staff was very helpful and friendly. The lobby is absolutely gorgeous, but the rooms were lacking a little in cleanliness and comfort. Nice for a one night stay. Great location for shopping at the mall, just a short walk across the street. There was a crazy amount of street construction going on. It took 1.5 hours to get from airport to hotel. You must use an experienced Philippino taxi driver!!
It was good. The hotel was clean and staff were very attending. They need to work in the water that comes to the shower. One moment it was hot and the next very cold.

Location Have to walk thru traffic and rain for breakfast .and with the traffic officer the driver does not yield to the pedestrian very disrespectful to the pedestrian.it seems like the pedestrian must obey the drivers way

The hotel is located at convenient location (close to a shopping mall and McDonald's). There are shuttles between the airport and the hotel every hour. Staff are very friendly and helpful.
The rooms were OK. The shuttle service provided along with the resorts world manila was great. Resorts World Manila and Remington seems to have a coordinated efforts to charge as much money to tourist while you're are at their facilities. Resorts World Manila and Remington Hotel have promotions they advertised online that was a waste of time trying to get because of a coordinated effort to send you back and forth for requirements they needed for the promotions. The hotel will give you a blank look when you ask about the promotions, and the Resorts World Manila will change their requirement based on who you speak with at the membership counter. They will things like "We don't accept online booking reservation anymore", "We don't accept the hotel print out anymore", "This is not the hotel print out that we need. You have to go back to Remington and just ask for a print out. They should know", "All you have to do is show them the booking reservation", "We don't accept booking reservations anymore." It was a frustrating first night for a tourist. The free internet service they advertised is only good for checking e-mail. It's not good enough to surf anywhere. The internet speed is super slow, and I only get internet reception while I'm in the room when I stand by the doorway. Forget using it while in bed.

The bed was comfortable and the staff friendly. The wifi was expensive, slow and you had to go and get a token every hour or every day (depending upon what length of time you buy). Business hotels should have free wifi in my mind. The breakfast was almost inedible. One day in particualr the lobby smelt so bad i almost retched. The bathroom had insects and electrical sockets unattached to the wall.
Nice clean newer hotel! Like most hotels in Manila Area , they are starting to charge a premium like they are New York or Paris ect! It's still the Philippines but poeple are coming and paying these prices so I really can't blame them! I just don't see it, coming here the last 15yrs! the traffic is impossible, so plan on walking!

Nothing Horrible nightmare. They threw me out on the street due to a glitch in kayaks own get a room site. Get a room claims that my credit card had issues, which Is inaccurate. On the second day of my stay, they told me to pay double or go. What a disaster! The manager on duty showed no compassion to make a common sense decision to charge me the agreed upon rate with a new credit card. They refused to do something so simple and off I went onto the street. I will never stay at a shangri la again, the makati property gave similar problems to me and I had to pay twice in order to stay there since it was 11 pm. Shangri la is not shangri la . It is hell.
I could not say anothing bad about my stay. It is my favorite hotel in Manila. We showed up 4 hours early and was able to get a room hours before check in time. I was also upgraded to a better room since they ran out of regular rooms for us. The guess relations person who helped us was very helpful and pleasant. We had a great stay and the Chi spa was an awesome experience. Though it was on the expensive side, it was well worth it. Bit on the expensive side.
Very good breakfast and gym. Very friendly personal. The booking price was given in U.S. dollars but final settlement can only be done in pesos (PHP). This becomes a problem when the hotel uses an exchange rate of 50 (correct official rate is about 46 - the official exchange rate at the front desk is about 47 something). I spent a lot of time arguing about why I would not just pay an additional 50 US$ for my stay because of this - I had to discuss it 3 times until it was eventually fixed, but I was very late for my plane because of it (even though I had gone twice before checking out to make sure it was ok!). This is my only complaint about the hotel which is otherwise very good. Just make sure you do not pay overprice because of the exchange rate also.
i very much appreciated your upgrading me to a corner room which i have enjoyed during a previous visit (room 909). for several years i stayed elsewhere in manila because i did not like the room assigned to me. but this time i was very happy -- thank you. no complaints...i was very happy at the EDSA shangri-la this visit.

The folks at the Ascott were super friendly, from the front door, to check in on the 6th floor, the restaurant was very good, staff attending to the room all were outstanding. Have been coming to PI for 10 years 20 plus trips. 1st stays were at New World, last 6 years have been at the Dusit...price/value was better in comparison than both of those hotels...we were in the old wing, rooms were spacious, we did check out the newly remodeled wing and it is newer for sure...the location next to Glorietta was great and only a 12 minute walk thru the mall to get to the Greenbelt Mall and theaters. We will be staying at the Ascott from now on. PS loved the pool area and the Jacuzzi There was nothing to complain about at all
The space of the apartment was excelent... Front desk friendlyness might need to be improved.

We stayed here only because we missed our flight and the Holiday Inn was full. We wanted to stay near the popular shopping areas (Glorietta and Greenbelt). The location was excellent and they upgraded our room so we had a washer/dryer, kitchen and separate bedroom. This was perfect because we desperately needed to do laundry and didn't want to spend extra money on laundry service. It was also nice that we could cook our own meals and didn't have to spend a ton eating out and the Landmark grocery store was only a short walk away. We will probably not stay here again because they allow smoking in the rooms so once we made it home, all of our clothes that we just washed smelled like cigarette smoke. The worse part was the little ants that crawled around the whole room even the dining room table. We noticed it the second day there and had all of our luggage on the floor so we were paranoid that ants got into our luggage. We even found some crawling in bed with us. We were very ready to leave.
The service and security level provided by the Ascott's was excellent and to 5 stars international standards. Honesty and responsiveness of front desk personnel is commendable. Bathroom furnishing needs to be enhanced in order to improve averall staying experince.
The floors were extremely dirty. Always had to keep shoes on otherwise feet were black on bottoms. We were even in the penthouse suite where you would think they take more care.
Location Ascott could not locate my reservation even when given my confirmation number and booking agents number. Front desk did not know what to do, they wanted to charge me double my original paid reservation and credit my paid reservation when it came through.....WHAAAAAT! Very late and tired, no one offered to make it right, front desk seem to have attitude. I finally called Kayak and had them locate original reservation which was faxed to front desk. Front desk calls me to tell me they have fixed it and I clearly told them... I FIXED IT BY CALLING KAYAK...which is something they should've done in the first place!!!!!
Top things about this hotel in order: Location (you cant find any better), Staff, The Bed, Bathroom, Minibar, Spa, The Cityview, and Security. The rates are too exaggerated, You can find other much cheaper hotels with similar qualities, nothing very special about it for such a price

I was able to do early check in and late check out with no hassle. Also, left my baggage for a couple of days with no problem as well. Hotel amenities were great. Great location if your want to be near the airport and MOA.
Brand new hotel
We stayed 3 different times within 3 weeks in this hotel (we went out of town twice between stays). First of all, the service is impecabble. The staff is very warm and welcoming. The location next to 2 huge malls means the availability of many restaurants and retail shops and services. Being a fairly new hotel, the interiors are very nice and clean, yet it feels homey. I totally felt comfortable here and would go back and highly recommend this hotel to others.
Rooms are great, we love the great big windows giving us a great view of the city and the pool.

Location . Close to airport and walking distance to mall of Asia. The rooms were nice and the staff is friendly and helpful. The hallway carpets are dirty and smelly.While the breakfast is free and there are is a lot of variety , it's not good quality. The dinner is overpriced and the food isn't good. Also we got a room with a king size bed and the bed was a double size.
Location Wifi kept cutting out. Phone for staff was always busy so you have to go all the way down to get help with the wifi, and after a few minutes it would start cutting out again. Also if the weather is bad, the hotel does nothing to discourage Taxis from price gouging. It should be 46-52 pesos to MOA, but you'll be charged 100+ because the hotel does nothing. H2O won't allow Taxis on their property if they overcharge the guests, and these guys could learn from their example.
location, size of room, quality of room breakfast included the carpets in the hallways need to be replaced immediately. it is a shame because the rest of the hotel is terrific.
The bellhops were very friendly and helpful. The included breakfast buffet was great and they switched it up daily. The rooms were decent sized and had mini fridges. The front desk ladies were not very friendly or helpful. The rooms looked nice at first but had a lot of flaws. Our first room had cardboard covering one of the window panels. The second room smelled funny and had a lot of unfinished or broken parts.
