Very polite staff. Nice pool. Decent breakfast. Hotel is very dated. While I felt the room was clean and served its purpose as a place to sleep, I wasn't overly impressed. Lack of hot water in a.m., worn/stained carpet (not dirty...just old and needing replacement). Outdated furnishings. Tiny TV.
Carpet in the room was always damp.

Very family oriented with the pool for kids and exercise room for adults. Super convenient location. Very helpful staff, both day and night time staff. The comp breakfast was all carbs, unless you count the peanut butter on you put on your bagel. Or you could have sausage gravy on a biscuit. If this is not a priority, everything else was great
Nice roomy hotel room in a quiet location.
The staff was friendly and helpful. The bed was like sleeping on cement. The hotel is not near anything. And the water smelled like rotten eggs, was not able to shower or even brush teeth with it. It made the whole room smell disgusting. Also there were no outlets to use.
Easy to find In need of an upgrade. No elevator, pool was ok, but you had to go to front desk for towels. Front desk person seemed to be in the back somewhere,so always a wait.
The staff was great, breakfast selections were very good. There is a nice pool and amenities are good. Room had refrigerator and microwave. The bathroom had long hair on the floor next to the toilet when we arrived, and hair was left on tub our 2nd night. Bathrooms need to be cleaned more thoroughly.
It was very loud and the hotel doors to the each room slammed when they shut and also were difficult to shut! The breakfast was terrible and there was not too much to chose from! For ----dollars there should have been better quality!
Our experience at the Pellston Lodge was very nice. It was clean, quiet, friendly, about perfect. Enjoyed the pool. Nice facility.
Friendly staff, nice room for the price, close to downtown
Room was very clean and well maintained. Lots of reading material around the room, such as various lists and instructions on how to do things like turn the heat on, that were kind of cute. They also had some neat features, that we didn't end up using but sound like nice perks,,like dvds to rent for a dollar, popcorn and cookies in the lobby, and free dining area. The location is also a definite perk being only a 15 minute drive away from Boyne Mountain. Shampoo and soap in bathroom are in little dispensers that only dispensed a tiny amount. They may have been almost empty, but I would bring my own next time.
the only thing that I can see is the rooms were a bit dated but I was impressed with the cleanliness and that matters the most to me. The continental breakfast and food availability was awesome. Definitely where I will stay next time in Petoskey
Friendly staff. Small bathroom. Not enough tables to accommodate everyone in the cafeteria.
When we arrived we were informed that there was no room for us. My relatives still had a suite, but no room for us. They said they had tried to call us that morning, like it was our fault. We were moved down the road to another hotel which was nice, but away from family. Very disappointing.
I really enjoyed the location of my room. This time I had ground floor facing the parking lot. It doesn't sound like a winner, but I really enjoyed it. I was able to park RIGHT outside my door. This made it VERY easy for loading and unloading. No long hallways or stairs to climb this time. It was awesome. Also - Pretty good free breakfast. The room at first looks was decent. However, when you lay down you notice dust on the bed post and a floor that appears to vacuumed. There was a lot of slight dirtiness to the room. I even found the previous guest glasses and a bottle cap on the floor along with a couple spider webs and spiders. Since this is my only concern, I'd consider it a pretty good stay and I will be returning.
Room was too crowded, door was difficult to close and open, frig control was broken, tv remote didn't work
it was good for what it cost. close to everything in Mac city
On the water room. Furnishings were worn. Paid for balcony but could not sit and see the water view as solid wall was too high! Waste of money. Would be better if on an upper floor.
After getting a not so clean room they did put us up in a lager room by the beach. The bathroom was not clean....at all. Nasty
Large room, very clean and close to shopping and dining. Breakfast choices were plentiful.
Great staff, comfortable beds, beautiful location, good value. Very clean and up to date. This is my second summer vacation here and I plan to continue to come back. My screen door was broken, which wouldn't be a big deal, but northern Michigan has SO MANY BUGS!!!
I liked the area, rooms were good too, very nice front desk staff. The beach had nice chairs and was clean. Hotel was quiet too. The outdoor concourse was not clean, the drainage pipe on the beach was definitely an eye sore, pool hours are not very good as it needs to be open much earlier than 11am.
We stay at this Best Western every year. We like the location and the breakfast buffet is great. the staff is always very friendly. Even though I had paid for the room when I booked it, I was charged again when I arrived. However, everything was straightened out when I left.
I had no stay at the Best Western! It was closed when I arrived at the INN about 6:30 PM. They were closed. A note on the door said to go to a different Inn. I did and paid a higher rate. KAYAK or BEST WESTERN I do not know but GOOE on you and Best Western!! A PHONE CALL TO LET ME KNOW WOULD KEPT ME FROM BEING SO PISSED.
Great location. disappointed to find out it would have been $30 (approximately) cheaper if I booked direct with the Hotel
Room was clean and in good repair. Bfast buffet was very nice. Front desk manager very nice and helpful. Hotel location central to most everything in Mackinaw City. We got a good deal on the internet. Overall facility looked clean and in good repair. A good deal on the internet meant a poor view out of our room--we looked out half to part of the parking lot (which always-every day- had laundry and carts and other maintenance items and half to the opposite side of the hallway. A good deal also meant lots of foot traffic by our door at all hours. Our mattress was very worn and needed to be turned or flipped or something. When we arrived, we encountered women from Haiti working at the front desk and they were still on the learning curve w/regard to checking people in. We were not given all the info we needed. Our key cards lost their programming to unlock our door twice during our three-night stay (annoying!).
What we liked best was the way the rooms are set up. There is an open suite with a private room on each side. The rooms are lovely, nice linens, towels, pillows, and comfortable beds. We were traveling with my brothers and their wives, whom we haven't seen in a long time. It made it easy for us to spend time together. Plus, the location was central enough for us to walk to restaurants and local stores. I would happily return to this motel/hotel in the future.
Staff were friendly, rooms spacious and comfortable and breakfast was very good. No complaints
Easy In and Easy out. The price was about right for the facilities. Check in was fast. Breakfast was great. Beds were pillow tops and comfortable. I have mobility problems and the elevator was a one end of the complex and our rooms were at the far end away from the elevator. There were ramps but I still had to walk too great a distance. I would not stay here again even if on the ground floor because I would have to go upstairs for breakfast with no direct elevator.
Impressed by the size of the room for the price we paid. We were not in the room much - only to sleep. We had a lakeview room that had an awesome sunrise the following morning. The room was clean and the heat worked great. We were freezing from being @ the island most of the day in 32 degree weather and when we got back to the room it was super warm and the beds were comfortable. Good selection of TV channels and a decent free breakfast the next morning. Great location to everything. Would recommend.
Neat & Clean
This place was really great. It was the closest hotel to the Sheplers dock. The gentleman at the front desk allowed us to check-in early and check out late. I would absolutely stay here again.
Easy to find, right on the main street! We walked to everything!! Including the boat to Mackinac!, Restaurants, and shopping! Very clean and updated.
Didn't have to drive anywhere, nice hotel very convenient. Clean and friendly staff
It was right in the heart of everything. Walking distance within all the shopping and restaurants. I thought the breakfast they offered was very basic. Kinda disappointing. They had coffee, juice, english muffins, dry cereal, and something that was suppose to be biscuits and gravy. Not very good. I would suggest skipping it and hitting a local restaurant,
The proximity to downtown and the ferry was great. Was able to walk everywhere. The beds, the pool, the showers, the breakfast, the price per night.
it was within walking to everything we wanted to do prices
location, easy in and out, peaceful, very clean, staff is kind and pleasant I would definitely improve the breakfast!!!
The person at the desk was over the top helpful with attractions and getting around town. Manager was hands on, and everyone paid attention to every detail. Place was excellent in every way as noted above.
The location was great. All of the staff we dealt with were very friendly and pleasant. The room we stayed in was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was a little limited in number of choices and quality. It was not bad, just not great.
Baymont inn was great from when you pull up till the time you leave. The staff was very friendly and hotel location was good within walking distance to all the shops and reasterants. Our room was very clean and comfortable. We definitely would stay at Baymont again.
It was super easy to get to, right off the highway. It's super close to everything. We had wished that the hotel staff would have let us know that there was a very large senior tour during our stay. Only because the morning ended up being so crammed full of people trying to get breakfast and people waiting for the bus to load all of their luggage. We could have rearrangedone our schedule to try and avoid the mess.
Each room has a lake view and a small balcony. Our room was the XL size which was quite spacious. One King bed in a smaller room at the end by the balcony, 2 Queen beds and a sofa bed were in the larger room by the entrance door. Between the rooms was the bathroom and a small sink, frig and microwave. Easy location with views of Lake Huron and Mackinac Island. Would be nice if there was a door to the room with the King bed for more privacy instead of just a doorway. The pool area, while in the same building, is a very long way away at the very far end of the building. This made using it less appealing.
Clean, spacious, great lakeside location and an outstanding value. Great free breakfast. Wish they would include some sausage or bacon.
The in-room microwave, refrigerator, and coffee maker were a useful addition to our hotel room.
The facilities were fantastic for the price. About time motels upgraded to lcd tv'S. We had an extra roll of tp (one guy with four girls). Very good maid service and service all around. Desk people were great - like they took pride in their workplace. Did not smell any smoke in the room. An ashtray with chairs were available for smokers in the parking lot away from the entrance. Private decks lake-side to relax after a long drive or just read a good novel (Please do not feed the seagulls) The pool area and other common areas were well kept but we didn't use them this trip. The continental morning feed was very good with plenty of food and seating. I really love this motel and plan to stay there next year.
Loved how spacious the room was! The view was beautiful...right on the water, with the Mighty Mac as the backdrop! Great location...plenty to do around the hotel, as well as on the Island. We will definitely come back!!
The view from the room was the only good thing. The staff was incredibly rude. Couldn't connect to the wifi from my room and when I brought it up with the staff, they became defensive and arrogant. They didn't bother listening to my concerns. They also weren't helpful when I asked them about ferry times to Mackinaw Island. They rudely told me that they didn't know and that I should look it up myself. The breakfast was awful, not much to offer and had stale low-quality food. They also didn't have enough food for the guests. The rooms could have been cleaner. Found stains on the sheets and towels. Not all of the lights worked. Overall, a terrible experience and won't be staying here again.
A little bit away from the heart of the city but close enough to walk wherever you want to go. Love the location Reception at the front desk was a bit chilly. The woman checking us in seemed to be in a bad mood upon arrival and also the same woman upon check out two days later didn't seem to have improved
The location was convenient for taking the ferry over to the island. Nice view off balcony. This hotel was somewhere I would expect to pay $50 a night. Outdated color schemes, dark and gloomy rooms. There was a bra inside of the fold out couch which tells me no one had changed the linens in it. The breakfast in the morning was not very appealing inside a room with no windows. The pool and spa area looked like a basement- the water was gross looking. Call me crazy, but for $250 a night, I expect a very nice hotel! I would not recommend staying here.
Location The hotel is more like a ran-down motel. The carpet is moist and dirty, the furniture and room needs renovation. Purchased room online and it did not meet my expectations as per online listing and photos. Not a good start to a family vacation for such a great unique town
Good value for location. Accommodated friends that arrived with me at same price that I booked for room.
Not much. Pool is ok. Room old and out dated, beds sucked real bad!
They had a room available. Staff was rude to children. Hotel room was expensive and quality of room was terrible. Room was filthy, carpet had stains and had bugs in room.
People were very nice Rooms were not very clean
Balcony did have a good view of the lake and the free breakfast was decent Overall condition was poor. Bathroom was not clean andhad hair in the sink and tub. Wallpaper was peeling off In several places and there was a chunk of plaster Missing from the ceiling. I would not stay here again.
The Perry is a great old hotel experience. Just a wonderful spot in an amazing town.
History was evident. Well maintained. Easy to get to. Walking distance to shops. They had a large group rent their main lobby and restaurant. Noisy! Took away the quaint.
This is her second time here. We brought my inlaws with us and got them a room also. I love that all of the rooms are different with their own touches. The view of the bay is awesome. You feel like you went back in time 100 years staying here. When we were here in the summer they had the bar open on the patio but that was closed this time so we sat on the big porch outfront and had a great time
terrific locale -- right in the heart of downtown Petosey. It's walkable to shops and restaurants. the amenities, furniture and rooms left much to be desired. Yes, it's a boutique hotel, but it felt like my wife and I had broken into a 100 year old woman's attic and were sleeping on a family heirloom straw bed. Nothing was comfortable (or clean). The TV was smaller and older than my parents' computer monitor. I'm not sure what my $250+ "deal" paid for.
I really enjoyed the comfort of the bed and the pillows. It was a beautiful room and the attention to detail was perfect! They really did everything they could think of to make the room as comfortable as possible. I also loved the "thickness" of the towels!
All staff, a.m. p.m. shifts were excellent, very friendly. Calling the room bay view was a stretch, you could see it in the distance but saw more of the building's roof next door and their rooftop equipment.
Centrally located to all the activities in the area Pool had WAY too much chlorine. Our room was right off the communal fathering area and was quite noisey
Room was very spacious and loved the patio walkout with the bay view.
Clean, comfortable rooms Friendly staff Coffee always available in the lobby
Very clean and comfortable! Staff was very friendly and its right across from the bridge. I would stay again.
Nice view of the Bridge, right across the street. Friendly and welcoming hosts. A nice place to stay after the busy tourist season winds down.
The pool was wonderful. Large and heated nicely. It was warmer than any hotel pool I've been to. Not crowded. Needs some new paint, but overall the pool was very nice. Smelled funky. Carpet left our daughters feet black. Paper thin walls. Loud guests, we could hear neighbors and others in the parking lot all night. breakfast was sub par only 3 hot options and they ran out of food knowing the hotel was fully booked.
Ideally located near the heart of lovely Harbor Springs; updated historic property. No internet access from the room; were not informed that there was dock/water access at the bay a block away.
Brian at the front desk (and every where else) was extremely pleasant and helpful.
Great spot, great town , nice rooms, good walking area, nice Brady. Really lovely.
Nice pool Very 1960s. No renovations but clean. Lamps were ready to fall over, the beds were cheap and lumpy. We wil not return to that hotel.
Cozy like a log-cabin. Friendly/helpful staff. Beautiful landscape/location. They advertise a heated pool which was neither heated or clean. Other than that we loved the place!
Bed & room were comfortable. Location is close to downtown Harbor Springs & Birchwood Country Club. Room has a musty smell. I fixed that by putting an air freshener in the air conditioner. No iron in room. Pink restroom tile should be changed. Newer TV's would be nice but not a must.
I liked the location. Yes the grounds were nice and cared for. The owners were very nice and family oriented. I love supporting small business instead of cooperate business. I really liked the seating provided on the grounds. No other hotel offered it. The room smelled like moth balls or old, old wood. It was overwhelming and unacceptable due to the price of the room and the area competition. The grounds were nice however the pool looked dirty, needs repainted or something.
Charm and pleasant staff. No.
