Pros: We loved how Paul had singlehandedly restored period features of the B&B, so cosy and quaint with an artistic flair. We felt really welcome and received great advice about hiking routes in the local peaks.
Cons: It would be great if there was shampoo provided in the bathroom. Everything else was perfect.

Pros: What’s not to like. We stayed at Lyndene as it was close to Cubley Hall where we attended our nieces wedding. The property was spotless and tastefully decorated. Our host Paul was extremely helpful and pleasant as well as a good cook. The breakfast had everything we wanted

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, owners, breakfast, price, in fact nearly everything.
Cons: Bed we had not long enough for someone 6'2" plus. Shared bathrooms, others are not always as considerate as you!!
5.5 Okay
Pros: Beds were comfortable & owner was friendly & helpful once she’d returned from holiday.
Cons: Breakfast was worst I’ve ever experienced- lukewarm tinned chopped tomatoes on 1 piece of cheap sliced BURNT toast. Helper was unfriendly, didn’t seem to know what she was doing & looked offended when we asked for 2nd piece of toast. No jam provided and TV on showing terminally ill girl & animal cruelty whilst we tried to eat the disgusting breakfast. We didn’t bother returning for breakfast the 2nd morning even though we had paid for it. To be fair to the owner once she returned from her holiday she was very friendly & helpful but the woman appointed in her absence neither smiled, or was helpful. She showed us to a room with a broken handle that came off each time we shut the door and is not cut out for hospitality. Lastly whilst we were happy to stay in someone’s family home our ‘deluxe double room’ had photo frames of family children which made us feel uncomfortable and numerous sharp parts from racing cars around the room that we had to avoid. No bedside light for 1 of the beds.
