Truly the best stay at a hotel I have ever had! My birthday weekend, we planned on staying one night, but had a car breakdown on Saturday, leaving us stranded until Monday when we could get the car repaired. We made the most of it, had breakfast at the hotel both Sunday and Monday mornings. If you can't find something you like with their vast selection of breakfast food, you aren't trying very hard! From Belgian waffles, to scrambled eggs/omelets, bacon and sausages, toast, pastries, fresh fruit, oatmeal, the list goes on! Fresh orange and apple juice, 2% and skim milk, coffee with specialty flavorings, if you like. You name it, it was there! Then we walked the grounds. The hotel grounds were really impressive, offering horseshoes, volley ball, ping-pong, a place to grill and picnic, as well as a fire pit stocked with split fire wood for evening festivities, playground equipment for the kids, and more. We heard the laughter of kids and were surprised to find were surprised to find Wildwedge Mini Golf, just around the corner. We golfed 18 holes and had a blast. Came back and played pool on their excellent pool table which offered a great selection of straight pool cues in various weights and chalk! Only $1.25 to play. Then we went for a whirlpool and swim in the very clean pool. Finally we walked across the road to the A-Pine Restaurant, where I had the Best Rueben EVER!! The staff Donna and Tina was so friendly and helpful in our situations and were very accomodating. This hotel is impeccably well kept and very clean! I read a review before booking, and thought, there's no way a hotel could be THAT good, but it WAS, it really was!
Having to go home. I would have liked to buy a Pequot Lakes sweatshirt without a hood. There were only hoodie sweatshirts and t-shirts available. The colors were numerous and there were youth, ladies and mens sizes.
Breakfast was okay. Had a problem with sour milk otherwise good
The Pet policy
They had a great variety for breakfast. So it fit a wide range of tastes.
It could have been a bit cheaper in price.
Loved the Northwoods decor. Bed was very comfortable. Outside patio overlooked a very large, landscaped area with a fire pit. Breakfast was not great but good enough. Overall this is a wonderful place to stay!
Breakfast selections. More fresh fruit; better quality eggs. Minor issues really.
