Gerda and her team were very efficient and received our two families with 2 children and a baby cordially. Value for money was excellent, considering the quiet nice rooms and the full breakfast included in the price. Whenever we had a wish Gerda would see to it and she even lended us umbrellas for a day. The hotel is located in a quiet and idyllic subsection of Pfronten. The only small thing to quibble about were the heavy "nordic" down covers that require some getting used to for "Floridians" in the way of sleep/temperature management. Otherwise we absolutey recommend the hotel.
very kind staff, nice and quiet, big rooms and bath, wonderful surroundings. Ask nicely and you can use the Internet for free. It was hard to find.
Surroundings, price/service ratio Only german language. Breakfast from 8am - a little late for someone...
It was quiet and in a pretty location. There was no hair dryer, no shampoo and no kleenex in the bathroom. Also they did not accept visa.
Great location, nice, peaceful, fantastic view from the balcony, free parking there was only one minus - no english speaking staff. and they looked not so friendly (but porbably because of they were not able to say anything in english). of course absence of internet and possibily to pay by credit card is minuses also.
The place where is located
Food and people
Country, farm, and small town area near mountains. Local charm away from business of city. Clean air.
Hospitality, parking place, it has an elevator that is very useful to carry the luggage at the top floor, placed into a nice landscape, great food
good weather and nice view
the landscape the towels: bad quality and too few
It is in a really nice place... nice views. It is run by a family so everything is really comfortable and warm.
It was excellent! What more can I say?
People are very nice and the rooms on the mountain side offer a splendid view. The place is quiet, you need a car if you want to visit around ; but walking can start directly from the hotel. Breakfast is nice and restaurant is good and offer local specialities: try the Apple Flamenkuch.
Friendly staff, good food, nice room. The view is great! The outside of the hotel could use a little paint.
Great view from balcony, good location
Cozy clean hotel, good breakfast
Ideal peaceful location at edge of town with wonderful views. Perfect for walking from the hotel plus cable car station and railway station very close. Excellent meals in restaurant. Would like to have stayed longer.
We stayed in Berghof two nights. The hotel is pretty well located, however it was not easy to find. Rooms are very spacious. In our room there was a small kitchen which is good, as a grocery store is around the corner, so we could arrange an afternoon tee on the balcony. Swimming pool and sauna are a good bonus as well. We could not get connected to wireless internet and hotel staff had no idea of how it works.
For being a 4 stars hotel, I missed a mini-bar and a more equipped and larger bathroom. The staff also could not speak much English and did not warned us about the kitchen was closed at 21h. I was expecting a better service for the price we paid.
Clean, Friendly people, Nice tooms
The hotel was perfect, our room opened out onto a little shared patio and garden and the sound of the cow bells is the surrounding fields is totally charming.
The hotel was a charming hotel and the owners were a lovely family who were very helpful and recommended various restaurants and things to do. This made our stay very relaxing and extremely enjoyable.
quite and perfect position, wellcome milka, good breakfast, clean room with terrace, nice staff none
The place is wonderful, more silent, birds singing,it s heaven on earth. everything was perfect.
Very kindful staff. I called reception because of late arrival, check in time is 20:00, but he waited us for check in untill 21:40. Very wide and comfort room equiped kitchen. Breakfast is served from 8:00, but we had to leave 8:00, so they served 7:40 for us. Perfact hotel for guests notthing
Very friendly welcome, nice common area to sit and have drinks. Good typical German breakfast. Also staff were helpful with information about the town. Room was spotless and well maintained. The location is beautiful and peacefull away from the main action of Fuessen and the castles.
Staff very friendly 'Hotel' misleading. More bed and breakfast.
absolutely everything, especially kind welcome, good prices of beverages and very very good breakfast no
We were very happy with this hotel. The hotel manager is very nice. They provide a nice lounge area for guests with board games and a stocked drinks fridge with reasonably priced drinks (e.g. less than 2 euros for a beer). The rooms were clean and well appointed - at least some of the rooms have balconies. The included breakfast was excellent. Pfronten is a nice small town and the castles are easily accessible if you have a car (less than 15 minutes drive). When we left the hotel in the morning a herd of cows were mowing the grass across the street. Highly recommend the 500-year old Gasthof Adler restaurant for dinner if you find yourself in the area.
Out of the way but has a lot of charm. The staff were great. Food was great and breakfast WAS included which made it one of the best and best value rooms we had on our trip. There were several bathrooms to choose from and they were clean and updated. No TV in rooms, but it may have changed the feel of the area if there had been.
The friendliness and willingness of the staff to meet our every need. In fact, when we had to leave earlier then they served breakfast, they made a lunch for us to take with us instead! No, I cannot think of one thing I didn't like about this hotel.
The hotel is in a beautiful rural location between two towns with a beautiful country feel inside. We upgraded our room for a few Euro and got a suite with an included bathroom, balcony, huge bed, couch with a hide-a-bed and beautiful furniture. the staff didn't seem quite as friendly as I'm accustomed to in Bavaria, and their English was really rough for an area that I would think would attract so many tourists.
The owner was exceptionally enthusiastic and took time to show us all the features of his hotel. We had a large room with balcony and views of the mountains. It was as described and then some. Sadly we were only there overnight.
The owners were extremelly courteous and helpfull. They answered all of our questions, helped us with local roads and attractions, they received us very late at night and helped us to accomodate our large family in extra beds, this is a charming hotel in a wonderfull mountains with an excellent customer service, wondefull restaurant with nice views of the mountains, the excellent users rating reflects exactly the service you will receive.
A great place to stay whether en route elsewhere as we were, or as a base for touring the Allgau with its lakes and castles (e.g.Neuscwanstein), for walking or simply relaxing. The swimming pool and facitlities are a great adavantage too. Our two "single rooms" were more like a suite: separate, yet entered through one door from the hall, and self contained with shower/loo etc. The owners were extremely helpful too, giving us not only fantastic onward directions towards our next destination - over a high, little used mountain pass down into Austria thwe would never otherwise have known about - but also a small bottle of sekt - to enjoy when we arrived! A highlight of the trip! the only thing that might be a disadvantage for some was that The only thing that might be a disadvantage for some, was that it's a 15 - 20 minute walk into Pfronten itself to find a restaurant...........an attractive walk, along a quiet road though, - with the Krone or Adler (where we sat ourtside) Gasthofe - pubs - being the nearest just at the end of it.
excellent staff - spent a lot of time making sure I knew of nature trails, hiking paths, sights, etc. Very kind and informative. no desk for computer.
welcoming and helpful owners, wonderful breakfast, very clean, good parking, quiet location, very pleasant stay
Nice place, friendly owners, cheap, the impression has been absolutely positive. We didnt have the chance to see the surroundings or use the outdoor facilities due to bad weather, but the sauna and pool were a relaxing addition to our trip to Bavaria. Nice position a few kms away from the castles area and 130 km from Munchen. Has been a nice weekend, thanks!
The owners were very helpful and nice! Spoke English and showed us a map of the castles & suggested a fantastic 600yr old restaraunt to eat dinner. Room had a balcony w/ amazing view of the alps. Wish we could've stayed longer to enjoy the sauna and pool!
Good view of the fields and mountains from our south-facing apartment balcony, the garden and the indoor pool.
owner very friendly & helpfull, good view
awesome little place only a short drive from Fussen, in a beautiful quiet little town, with a view thats nothing but spectacular. The rooms are well appointed, the setup is typical of quality Gasthof's. Breakfast is excellent and the service provided by all the staff especially the owners is top notch, you couldn't ask for anymore.
The owners are very polite, friendly and hospitable. The place is very comfortable and cosy. National typical German/Tyrolian flavor/culture are well preserved. We wish we could come back again. We strongly recommend this hotel to other potential clients. Nothing. No complaints at all.
Beds were very comfortable and the room was a good size. Toast was not available at breakfast for our son. Informed hotel we were arriving at 11:30pm were 10 minutes late and had to call to get the key.
The breakfast :-) To find it we use car GPRS. Without it I think we might get lost.
The Gunterbergs were perfect hosts, the facility was very quiet off the road and location excellent within Southern Bavaria.
Excellent location; wonderful hosts; beautiful countryside! The rooms were comfortable and spacious.
Very kind staff, wonderful view and good facilities. The internet is very slow.
Add 2 euros/person / day tourist tax
Staff was very helpful; provided laundry service Good location to explore area besides castles
very nice staff / large and beautiful room
Near to the point of interest. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was good. We like to stay there again. No light near the shower aerea
Gea & Dirk were very accomodating and friendly; helping with directions and places to see. The room and food were very good. We enjoyed our visit there and would go back again.
I especially enjoyed meeting the owners. They greeted us each morning at breakfast and we found them to be very enjoyable people to know.
All very well None
Very close to Ski ski slopes, new rooms. great beds and very friendly and helpfull hosts. We loved everything!
Size, cleanliness and decor of the rooms. Staff Courteous. Strategy for the visit of the castles, Fussen about 10 km.
Good location and very friendly owner who spoke to us in excellent English. She gave good advice on places to eat. no
Only stayed B&B. Good welcome with instructions on where to visit plus good directions. N/A
Location is great, landscape all around is beautiful, peacefull, relaxing; restaurant is very good and for good prices; very nice personnel The bathrooms need some renovation, the facilities are quite old
We loved the location, the food, the location of our rooms, the staff, our balcony with a view! Another pillow would have been good. Also, maybe fan when the nights are really hot.
Very quiet, access to the swimmingpool
Comfort of the environment The uppermost floor is not accessible by lift
Wonderful views, clean everywhere. Quiet room. Owner speaks English. Plenty of parking. Adequate breakfast with good coffee. Charged 2euros each for use of internet. Room was only basic for the price charged.
15 minutes from Neuschwanstein by car. Very quiet place. Good view from the room. Breakfast had good variation. Good swimming pool. Unfortunately hot water was not available in our bathroom. That was the only problem.
we went to neuschwanstein and used the koenigspass to go up the alps. the staircase out of stone
