When you stay at Khaosok River Home Resort in Phanom, you'll be within a 5-minute drive of Khao Sok National Park. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services and a 24-hour front desk.
Pros: The host (Kate) was so helpful right from when we booked back in rainy England up until helping us on our way to get the bus at the end of our stay. The location was peaceful and the wildlife was fantastic. Loved lazing about in the river watching the world go by. Kate booked our trips for us and made my wife's holiday with our elephant experience (one on one) The food was home cooked to order and very tasty.
Cons: There were no fridges in the rooms for things like cold water etc and no real storage for clothes and belongings (as the rooms were cosy) obviously the mosquitos (but your in the jungle so what do you expect) the rooms come with plug in repelants and mosquito/ bug screens so your safe while sleeping. The beds were firm got into the swing of them after just 1 night though.
Pros: I couldn't recommend Khao Sok River Home Resort more! Kate went above and behind to make my stay comfortable. Not only is the place gorgeous, it is also clean and they offer amazing food! Skip the Khao Sok town and head to this resort instead, you won't regret it!
Cons: Couldn't think of anything I didn't like.
Pros: One of the most remarkable and beautiful place where we have stayed in Thailand. It's just you and the relaxing nature around you with super lovely staff and amazing food. The rooms are very clean and quiet. If you need a place to stay in Khao Sok and you would like to avoid the touristic and noisy places, this what you need.
Pros: Everything was perfect ! The owner was really nice and helpful, the food was excellent, the location perfect, with the river downside to swim, the room was really clean and comfortable !
Pros: The bungalow is super nice! It’s new and very nicely decorated. It’s in the middle of the jungle, so you hear many birds and you’re surrounded by trees. Amazing pancakes and food in general at the small restaurant at the resort. Tours and transfers can easily be booked at the reception as well. It was super relaxing and definitely exceeded our expectations!
Cons: When we arrived we were dropped off at the main road while it was dark, so we couldn’t really see the resort and we had to take our luggage trough the sandy road. It would be better to ask the driver to drop you off really in front of the resort. We also had to take our luggage down the stairs from the bungalow.
Pros: Wonderful place to relax in a beautiful setting right on the river (so bring insect repellent). Kate and her husband are awesome hosts. Food is excellent with great variety and fair prices. Portions are huge. Kate makes an awesome pina colada! Lake tour was excellent and very well organized. Room is basic but clean and has a beautiful view of the river from the balcony. Would not hesitate to come here again - it's like an oasis. Be sure to book the private car from the airport - it's worth it.
Cons: Nothing that would keep me from returning in a heartbeat Would be nice to have some place to put clothes/stuff. If you have one of those hanging canvas cubbies, it would be good to bring if you are a family staying multiple nights - there are only a few wall hooks. Nothing within walking distance as others have said but can safely do a nice, peaceful walk along the highway which is not busy, and take some beautiful photos Nitpick, but would have been nice to have a light on the bedside table and a trashcan in the room FYI - need to climb some stairs and a steep incline to access any room. Bring a flashlight and toiletries. Payment for room/tours is only in Thai Baht.
Pros: Individual bungalows in small guesthouse above a small river. Clean, functional and good value. Owner made good sandwiches at 6.30 am as we had an early start.
Cons: Isolated and down a dirt path about 1km off main road
Pros: Very nice and professional host. The river for a bath.
Pros: This lovely resort is exceptional. The resort located next to the small river and close to nature. Katya (Kate) is such an amazing host. She gave us a lot of tips, information, and made our stay perfect.
Cons: The wifi is rather weak in the room and there is no television in the room. However, it was a great opportunity to disconnect and really relax. Prepare to experience power outage but it should come back after a few minutes.
Pros: The owners were very helpful and friendly. The food was very good and reasonably priced. The breakfast that was included with the rolm was excellent and included fresh fruit. The room was nice and very clean. The location was set in the jungle along the river and is secluded and very quiet. Nice balcony for relaxing and enjoying the outdoors.

A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Everything...most of all...the staff are beautiful people..best in Thailand and maybe the world
Cons: i only stayed one night. I had a flight the next day and i was also paying for a different hotel in phuket while i was staying here (spontaneous decision) which happens to be trash in comparison to Belong the jin resort.
Pros: Beautiful rooms with pool access.spotlessly clean.staff were very friendly and accomadating.
Cons: Food wasn't great.
Pros: This is an amazing place to stay, staff couldn’t do enough, location perfect, 10 mins to the lake and beautiful views and the most comfortable bed ever!!!
Cons: Nothing it’s amazing
Pros: Clean Comfortable and Full of service mind staffs.
Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: place needs some tlc, place falling apart a bit. overpriced
Pros: Very welcoming staffs with excellent altitude. Nothing is too much trouble. Special mention about Kob who got up early so that I could have a cooked breakfast before hitting the road.
Cons: Location and surrounding areas are stupendous apart from line of huts right outside the compound built not with bamboo or wood but corrugated iron.
Pros: Modern, highly comforted. Terrace with access to pool with great view.
Pros: Proximity to the dam and lake and general setting of the resort
Cons: Construction work on the site meant the tranquility was shattered by hammering and other noise. Belong Jin is ideally located for visiting the dam and lake and perhaps when the building work is completed it will again be a great place to stay but we left feeling very disappointed.
Pros: First and foremost the staff was amazing! They treat you like kings and queens. Kob one of the ladies there (not sure if owner) set us up with a private long tail on Cheow Lan Lake, she took us to all the beautiful areas, we then stopped at the resorts on the lake and got to feed fishes, kayak, swim, and then they had a huge and delicious lunch ready for us. It was a magical day! She also booked our transportation to the pier the next day and had a cooked breakfast to go. For the resort itself they have a cool restaurant/bar area with really good music. The food was a bit hit or miss. The rooms were clean and the access to the pool was really cool. During our stay no one else used the pool so we felt like we had a private pool. Also the view of Khao Sok from the rooms was so cool and it's only 10 min drive to the lake so you are right there.
Cons: Biggest complaint would be the stiff bed. The bed was clean but very hard and springy.

Pros: Very nice and quiet place. Staff was very friendly. Good location to stay if you go to Cheow Lan.
Cons: The pool was pretty dirty. It had a lot of dead insects in it.
Pros: Very clean and quiet place with nice service!
Pros: We stayed over night whilst visiting the lake. This place was ideal as we had our own transport. Lovely pool. Really friendly. Great value
Cons: The sign at the end of the property was a little difficult to read. There is a large sign on the other side of the road saying the property is 20m away, otherwise it would have been hard to find.
Pros: this hotel is ran by the friendliest woman ever. She made our stay unforgettable.
Pros: the garden and pool were fine. good localization and free transfert to the airport. So facilities to keep your room during the journey if necessary.
Cons: The bedrooms in the building were just acceptable. Some unpleasant smell problems and a toilet problem made us change room. staffs don't speak well english and it was difficult to communicate and to obtain informations.
Pros: Staff were very nice and helpful, close to entry to the lake
Pros: Excellent service by the super friendly staff. The rooms are perfectly kept and the pool is really good. If you need a place to stay overnight, choose this o e
Cons: Nothing basically
Pros: We had only one day at this wonderfull place, but we really enjoyed it. The host was Very nice and helpfull . The property is quite clean and relaxing!
Pros: Nice place near of the lake of Khao Sok! I and my khu hman, we will came back :-)
Cons: All top!!!
Pros: The owner was super nice and helpful, she offered a transfer to Ao Nang for reasonable price because we couldn’t manage to book a minibus. The place is lovely and super calm.

Pros: nice experience in the jungle with very friendly family near the river and the elephant sanctuary
Pros: The room was amazing! You are literally staying in a tree with a 360 degree view of the forest. Get to sleep with the sounds of the jungle. The restaurant area and grounds are also very beautiful with flowers everywhere and right by the river.
Cons: The floor in the room was pretty sticky. Also weak shower pressure.
Pros: The tranquility and the peace surrounded by nature. The tree houses were amazing.
Cons: Low lit walk ways, a breakfast variety would be great or a breakfast buffet.
Pros: The resort atmosphere itself was very authentic. The houses were in a jungle and they gave a feeling of this place. The staff helped us with our backpacks and were very friendly and helpful. The treehouse was clean and spacious. For me it was important that there are no bigger insects like bugs or spiders inside and everything was perfect. I felt save ;) The private outdoor shower was a highlight.
Cons: When we arrived, there was nobody who could speak English because our contact was not there. She had a good reason why but I was wondering why nobody else could speak English - it was very confusing. The bed was very hard.
Pros: Beautiful family run tree house resort! They couldn’t be more accommodating! The room (tree house) was lovely and even had a hot shower! The only think I’d mention is not to leave anything out as the ants will find it! We ate in the restaurant on our first night and it was the best food we have had in Thailand so far! Also, once we had eaten they sat down and had their family meal together before getting the kids ready for bed and school in the morning - it was so lovely! Really authentic <3 Couldn’t recommend this place more!
Pros: Nice place to stay and lovely people!
Pros: Great place and staff! Really helpfull and kind. House was super with tree in the bathroom so you can feel the jungle atmosphere! Amazing place! I recommend to buy two days lake tour at the hotel!
Cons: Maybe breakfast could be better.
Pros: The lady on the reception (owner I supouse) organized every wish we had for good price. Always everything on time and as present. They also gave us ride from and to bus station for free. Lovely family run the place. Delicious food in resort restaurant. Lovely tree houses, but be aware, you might not be alone in the house ( frogs, spiders, ants, geckos). Remember that they were here first. Short walk to the small village and to the park entrance. Thank you again!
Cons: It is a tree house and a lot of ants because of that, so it would be good to empty the bin daily. We would like fresh towels daily (but probably we get fresh towels if we asked).
Pros: Polly and Lek who run the place are amazing. I wish I’d more time to experience their hospitality, and their incredible home. I walked around the entire neighborhood and this is by far the best place to stay in Khao Sok. Next time I’m in Thailand I’m going to add a week to stay just to relax, I did far too much hiking and trekking. I wish I’d spent more time just eating their food and playing with their dog, Milk.
Pros: The treehouses are very well made. (By the owner himself!) They have the feel of a proper room, good bed, and nice deck between the leaves. Good atmosphere, good hosts, good curry :)
Cons: Nothing! Polly, her husband Leg, the children and dog Milk make you feel at home.

The area is popular for cycling, and bike hire is available at the accommodation. The nearest airport is Surat Thani, 63 km from Rai Eingpu, and the property offers a paid airport shuttle service.
Pros: Lovely staff who are very helpful. Very nice restaurant where we're enjoyed our dinner and were given a good breakfast that was included in the price of our room.
Cons: Mildew on one wall.
Pros: The room was nice and clean and breakfast was just amazing. The next morning owner gave us a ride to the pier which was very nice of her as we don't have a car or bike and it would be difficult to get there with backpacks.
Cons: Would be great to have mosquito nets on windows to have a possibility to sleep with fresh air instead of AC.
Pros: Staff were lovely. This is a spot of tranquility. No frills be perfect for the price. It’s accommodation at a family home. Stunning views and away from the normal tourist hustle. I stayed in one on the tents.
Pros: Good breakfast, nice and kind stuff, beautiful view
Pros: Quiet and friendly staff
Cons: Room is a bit too small.
Pros: Good hotel but too far from city.
Pros: Calm, good and clean. Good breakfast (eggs and sausage)
Cons: Little expensive, only one restaurant near this hostel (left after the bridge)
Pros: Owners went above and beyond to help us with transport. They came and pick us up, and left us at station for minivan to pick us up. Same minivan they called and checked for us. Place is peacefull and owner is great cook as well :) would recomend to travel with veichle but if you get in some troubles like we did owners will help you out. Thank you for your hospitality.
Pros: The clean room!
Cons: Well the staffs English could have been a little better. However they where very pleasant and we had no problems communicating with them
Pros: Easy to reach even on a small car, the road is paved. Restaurant on site works rather late (until 8pm) and the food is fine. Rooms are okay for the price. Unexpectedly new and quiet A/C units.
Cons: The staff was friendly but barely spoke English. The 'mountain view' is only in tents, the rooms face jungle and apparently a construction plot for more roms. River not visible and not audible. No brewed coffee on breakfast.

Featured amenities include a business center, dry cleaning/laundry services, and luggage storage. Pros: Its an amazing place. With everything you might need on site. The employees are absolutely amazing. The nicest people I met in Tailand. Totally recommend.
Pros: Staff was very friendly but couldn’t speak English very well. Also they gave wrong information with the tours. Was difficult to communicate with them. But at least, they tried to help you. The location is great, nearby the entrance of the national park.
Cons: They give you wrong information. The breakfast was the most horrible breakfast I ever ate. And they charge you 180 bath for some horrible eggs. The rooms had there best time, but for the money you pay, it’s correct. But there are better accommodations in the neigherhood
Pros: Very nice bedroom, comfortable bed. The older woman who arranged our tour and the boat to koh samui did a good job But know if you take the one day tour you will not go into the caves. Is not possible from june till december. They donnot tell you this . They tell you you go into the cave but it is not true. So that was dissapointing for a lot of people.
Cons: The so called manager was not friendly, it felt very fake friendly. It is all very touristic .
Pros: The owners were super lovely and very helpful!! They organised the 1 day lake tour and tubing for us and both of those activities were definitely worth every cent. With the one day lake tour I recommend not going on the hike to the cave which is not incl in the price and kayaking around the lake instead for 2 hrs, some gorgeous remote areas to see!! Also bonus addition to this place is the lovely garden just outside the door and the resident dog named Coffee, she would often lead us back to our room and even joined us tubing down the river. Overall very good value for money and would stay here again.
Pros: Free taxi from bus stop to the hotel Spacious bungalow
Cons: Poor light in the room
Pros: The staff was very friendly, they booked our overnight trip to Khao Sok national park. The bungalow was in the garden so there was no noise from the street.
Cons: The bathroom was not that clean.
Pros: Very good service and support.
Pros: Green valley hotell is a good place to stay over night or longer. The houses are situated in a very green garden with lovely flowers. Rooms are clean and spacious, the food in the restaurant is very good and the portions big.
Pros: This was a really great stay! They helped us a lot with arranging activities, the room was nice and clean and the staff was really kind and helpfull.

Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available on request), and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: This little resort was a paradise for us. Comfortable bed, fantastic nature, kind host. We highly recommend to everybody, especially nature lover backpackers :)
Pros: The owner is very friendly and helpfull. If you want to go out on the Lake early this is a good place to sleep. The view on the rivier from your room is nice.
Cons: The room was warm, the bed very hard and the bathroom not so clean. We payed for a private bathroom. But the extra money spent on that was not worth it.
Pros: Great staff. Quirky Place. Close to the Damn to get long-tail boats out onto the lake.
Cons: The road going in is a bit rocky just be carful.
Pros: Great location, jungle experience
Cons: Have to pay in cash
Pros: The host was friendly, and seeing our interest in the local fauna showed us an occupied nest of a tailorbird, which was quite remarkable. He also helped us book a boat for a custom trip on the lake, which was very helpful. The room itself was nice, and the included breakfast basic but good.
Cons: The beds were clean, but the high ceiling was not cleaned in a long while, and dust threads were hanging from it.
Pros: Host was nice and friendly as your home
Cons: A bit weird outside bathroom
Pros: The place and the people : familial business with Nice people. Beautiful outdoor bathroom. One restaurant at 2,5km. The natural swimming pool. The dogs were our friends too
Cons: It’s a little far away from the lake so you need to take a cab (200 bath).
Pros: Quiet location with friendly staff. The bungalows are pleasant and integrated in the vegetation around them which makes a relaxing environment close to nature.
Cons: Poor water evacuation in the bathroom (pipe to be cleaned)
Pros: The location, the hot water in the open air bathroom and shower, although had to flush everything with water to remove ants etc. Comfortable bed, a/c and fan worked well.
Cons: No breakfast menu, no info on tv channels, only 2 medium towels for two persons. Very small single use shampoo and shower gel for two.
When you stay at Panvaree Resort in Ban Ta Khun, you'll be on a lake, just steps from Cheow Lan Lake and 5 minutes by foot from Khao Sok National Park.
Pros: The view is all you need at this place. Absolutely amazing
Pros: The place is beautiful. The staff at the resort was helpful and kind.
Cons: Not easy to contact the resort. They didn't often pick up telephone. Once they gave us the wrong number so we couldn't call the taxi who's supposed to pick us up at the airport.
Pros: We were surprised by evening your where we saw the monkeys.
Pros: The staff was particular friendly and kind. The location is fantastic. For people, which like to relax and escape from crowded areas, it is perfect. The lake is amazing. I paddled with my SUP many kilometers.
Pros: Perfect location, wake up and jump in the lake. Trips were well organised. Best view ever!
Pros: Very nice well decorated houses at the side of a beautiful lake. Very friendly staff, some women speak a lttle english and one lady speaks it well. The man speak Thai. Although both days (1 night) were rainy, it was certainly worth the visit!
Cons: Initially we were put inthe room above the restaurant but we booked a floating house with a kingsize bed. My daughter told them we were unhappy with the room and they admitted a mistake had been made. Bathroom can use a little renovatiion. Nothing serious, but for the price asked (we pay 200 euro for one night) I would expect everything to be perfect. Wifi is not that good, but can be missed.
Pros: Nice location. Stunning view. Away from all the noise. Full nature contact.
Pros: Cool place to visit. Very chilled out. Great dinner, perhaps a bit pricey but the lake is worth a stop. Spend a night or two max before heading elsewhere.
Pros: The view was amazing and the location was great
Cons: The restaurant is expensive and there is no a la carte choices. The whole place was dingy for the price they charge. The upstairs loft had the light and the fan on the same switch so you’d have to unscrew the bulb to keep the fan on at night. We asked if they could change our room and they said no, only they had nobody come in and use the room next to us, which actually has a king sized bed. We had twins for my husband and I.
Cons: Bed were incredibly hard, staff was less friendly than the other places we have visited. The electic breaker in our room kept blowing and they basically just said that's just how it is. The place was practically empty but they wouldn't move us - so cold water showers and no lights for 2 nights. Does not except any credit card for anything.
Pros: - The property was very well constructed and maintained. All the tree houses/bungalows were being renovated when I arrived. Beautiful Bungalows and Treehouse (I tried both types of the room). It was warm, comfy and clean. AC and hot water were well-functioning. - The surrounding area was green and very natural, feels like you are living in the jungle but with a peaceful atmosphere. - Even though it's not on the street side, it only takes you 2 minutes to walk to the restaurants/bars/minimarkets/tour offices area. - The Manager was such a gentleman (Gregory), he was very responsive to my calls and messages. He provided very detailed information about transportation and Khao Sok in general. - The staffs were excellent, especially Nat - Front Desk, she's never turned down on my requests but tried her best to help me out. Natha and Gregory had done their best to arrange the Birthday surprise for my girlfriend. The other staffs (kitchen/room cleaners..) were really friendly. - The foods were delicious with restaurant standards and well decorated, the taste was just a little salty to me. You should let the cook know so she will adjust. Khao Tom for breakfast was a wise choice. My girlfriend had it for Breakfast for the whole stay. - I love that the Resort cares deeply about protecting the environment and it was put on actions. You should read the leaflet instruction in the room to understand more about the Resort, the room, and the area.
Cons: - The walkways from the Honeymoon Hut to the reception was a bit dark at night. But it will be OK if you carry a flashlight.
Pros: Great spot! Close to the center, ac and amazing outdoor bathroom.
Pros: Refreshing escape from the city/day to day life. You can really feel like you’re in the jungle tent but without compromising your comfort. Nice staff and cute house pets
Pros: Great accommodation given where you are. A real treehouse style right within nature. The staff were amazing and so helpful. Also thoroughly enjoyed the food on the restaurant.
Pros: Food acceptable if you like to see cats arround the kitchen...
Cons: Catastrophic experience , book 3 nights and stay only 1 ! very old resort without maintenance and water in the morning...
Pros: - Lovely staff - Beautiful place to get in touch with wild - Stunning treehouses - Good breakfast options
Cons: - Monkeys have us a fright the first night on the roof but the sounds of wildlife are amazing when you get used to them - No WiFi in our room was inconvenient despite good speed in the lobby
Pros: The bungalows all look nice. It’s a shame they don’t maintain them well. Breakfast was okay. We got a free upgrade to another bungalow for the second night.
Cons: I slept in the same resort four years ago and I loved it so much then, therefore we booked the same resort again. Unfortunately it did not meet my expectations at all! The first night we slept in the bamboo bungalow, which smelt like mold and you could see the black spots on the walls. The second night we slept in a treehouse bungalow. The shower was really too hot and had very little water. I eventually had to wash my hair with the toilet shower. Besides that there was a rat in the bathroom and the airconditioner was bad so it was very hot at night. The staff speaks very poor English and is not helpfull. The bowl of honey she brought with my pancakes was full of dead ants.
Pros: The staff was very friendly and there were restaurants right down the street!
Cons: The bath tub water ran yellow, we waited to see if it would clear up and it didn’t. I guess that’s what happens when you stay in the jungle lol
Pros: Really nicely constructed bungalow with AC. I loved the private bathroom that was outdoors. The common area with the restaurant and lounge area is comfortable. Good breakfast. Friendly staff and the cutest frenchie puppy Bella (she is the best part!)
Cons: Like others mentioned I think a lamp in the bungalow would be nice for a little extra light, but no significant dislikes!
Pros: The staff were actually quite lovely and helpful. They even tolerated my irritable outbursts upon check-in which I appreciated. They allowed us to leave our bags there for the day after checking out. The bungalo was clean and atmospheric. The shower and toilet is outside the room in an outdoor enclosed area which is an interesting design. I wish the bed was a tiny bit bigger. There are some animals scurrying across the roof at night which I presumed were squirrels or monkeys but I liked it.
Cons: We arrived around 8.30pm on motorbike and were soaking wet after passing through torrential downpour. I was not in the best of moods upon arrival and was very irritated that the check-in was so slow and clumsy. I was standing soaking wet at reception, which they could see, and even though I booked through booking.com they slowly combed through my details, photocopied my passport then asked me to write my details down all again. Then they did not have eftpos, which I assumed they would have considering they were a resort, so we had to ride to the ATM. Then they had to check that the room was ready, at 9.00pm :-| I was not in the best of moods . So this check in process could be quickened and streamlined quite a bit. I suggest either getting eftpos machine or to allow the booking.com to handle the payment process.
With a stay at 500 Rai Khao Sok Floating Resort in Ban Ta Khun, you'll be in a national park, just steps from Cheow Lan Lake. Featured amenities include multilingual staff, luggage storage, and coffee/tea in a common area. For a surcharge, guests may use a roundtrip airport shuttle (available on request) and a ferry terminal shuttle.
Pros: The location, setting, clean & comfortable bungalow & tour guides.
Cons: Excessive and unannounced boat transfer charges (initially 8000bht later 5350bht) I suspect the room charge via booking.com is excessive too but at least we knew this ahead of booking (this apparently is the only one with AC and 24hr power in the floating bungalows). Service levels/offerings did not meet this pricepoint ( at no fault from the staff), fortunately the unique setting more than made up for all of this.
Pros: 1. Staff was friendly...true Thai hospitality That's about it
Cons: 1. Overpriced 2. Very limited food items on menu 3. It was raining but we were given an open boat (no roof). The resort is almost 1.5 hours by boat
Pros: The view ,canoes, trips in vicinity
Cons: Overpriced restaurant and very poor food eggs not fluffy they were stone cold both days. Food equivalent to a cheap tour group standard Attempt to cheat on safari trip for 2 hours saying only 1 hour until challenged..very concerning as another guest fell for the trick.
Pros: Location, amazing Staff on resort very friendly Vila, beautiful!
Cons: Staff on office (not same as on resort) no communication/no English Resort is very expensive you except some costumer service for that price
Pros: Staff were excellent. Excellent boat trips. Room clean, comfortable, good size. Location
Cons: Food options limited (esp for vegetarians). Pricey.
Pros: Food and amazing views
Cons: Unfrofessional Staffs and check in time on app and property, it doesnt match, we have to wait 3 hours for preparing room and staffs do nothing just let us wait. It costs already expensive but the property ask for more additional fee for boats and activities which are nothing much for 4000 baht . We are so dissapionted!
Pros: Friendly staff, great scenic location and very quiet.
Cons: The menu was a little restrictive with not too many choices. The air conditioning is only on from 19.00 -06.00 and the rooms are like saunas during the day.
Pros: Location Boat trip to the location was stunning Kayaks
Cons: Food was very very spicy, did do another menu but wasn’t very tasty Lots of rules, costs for breaking a very basic glass
With a stay at Art's Riverview Lodge in Phanom, you'll be a 1-minute drive from Khao Sok National Park and 8 minutes from Mae Yai Waterfall. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, luggage storage, and a safe deposit box at the front desk. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Friendly staff. Nice location
Pros: The gardens and river
Cons: All good
Pros: The location is stunning and the house too! Such a shame this really good be a high quality resort!
Cons: So far the most dirty accomodation. A bunch of hair in the shower drain, dirthy toilet and I got the idea that the tiles on the wall never had been cleaned and the floor was sticky. Dont take me wrong I have nothing against simple but this was not acceptable. Not for this rate.
Pros: The amazing location and the beautiful vegetation all around the bungalows. A small monitor lizard beneath the bungalow and a mating display of gliding lizards just in front of it were enough to make us happy. The fish eagle and the kingfisher across the river topped it off. The bungalow itself was basic but nice. Better lighting could have improved it a lot.
Cons: Like many other places with a perfect location, almost everything else could have been improved. In particular, the reception staff's attitude seemed to indicate that we were interrupting them in performing some other, more important, job...
Pros: The a/c rooms are new, comfortable and clean. The tubing is easy and relaxing and the guides were helpful. My 5yr old was able to do it alone.
Cons: Initially we booked a room for 3 with a double and a single bed. It was an old wooden hut with a fan. It was really dark with light coming in only through the holes in the walls. We were unable to open the doors and windows as mosquitoes and monkeys would come in. It looked like something out of a horror movie. My children were terrified, which was actually a bit of a giggle. Fortunately we were able to upgrade to an a/c room!!! In general Khao Sok is very overpriced these days compared to what you can get for your money in other areas in Thailand.
Pros: Price quality is good.
Cons: It is a simple bungalow, a roof over your head but don't expect more. Very simple bathroom but enough for one night.
Pros: By mistake we booked a cabin that was not separate and we had a group of people over us on second floor. The facilities are quite primitive and obviously have no isolation. We asked for a possible upgrade, and the staff was generous to offer us a separate cabin with no extra charge.
Cons: This place is not recommended for the squeamish or overdemanding type. However if you happen to not mind a few bugs in ur bed, quite large cracks in the floor and walls (oh, heck this is the jungle anyways), no air conditioner - but a lovely pair of fans that sounds like a jet engine (it’s a vacation anyways - who cares about sleeping), and I almost forgot to mention the creature - probably a rat, that ate its way through my bag during the night.
Pros: It was so tranquil and the views of the river were lovely.
Cons: The bathroom was quite small with the shower pretty much on top of the toilet

Pros: -nice, helpfull and friendly people -Beautiful views -good breakfast -excellent dinner
Cons: -Far away from the park and the centre with facilities such as restaurants etc -Rooms were not clean -No cleaning during pur stay
Pros: Place us new, clean, comfortable. The staff are terrific and eager to provide any assistance you may require. The restaurant is really good in an area of really good restaurants. The park is awesome. Check it out.
Pros: Morning scenery breath taking
Cons: No lunch or diner available at location. Closest restaurant not close.
Pros: Netrural and fresh.
Pros: Private house with great view. Friendly staffs.
Pros: Food was excellent and plenty. The surrounding area is nice for swimming or doing some canoeing. Wish I had stayed a day longer.
Pros: Great view and breakfast. Very nice owners.
Cons: One small lizzard in the room - my girlfriend didnt like it HAHA :)
Pros: The location is beautiful. The resort is situated along the river and 30 minutes distance to the lake. Staff intentions were good and tried to do everything possible for us. Overall we had a nice stay and it is OK to stay here for one night. We advise the resort to have more English speaking staff if they want to host more foreign visitors.
Cons: It seems the resort is not used to foreign visitors. Only one English speaking staffmember if present. It took some time to check in and to have a trip booked to the lake because of our language problem. They used Google translate to understand us. Also ordering from the menu was not easy to do. Breakfast was cold fried eggs and cold 'hot dogs', some white toast, jam and cold chicken porridge. After we explained that we eat those items hot, they made new eggs and sausages. The house we stayed in need a renovation of the bathroom. Also we advise linnen for al beds.
Pros: The location is not bad. The view from the open windows is nice. But make sure to take the standart bungalows, they have the best view on the cliffs.
Cons: The breakfast was horrible, just a bunch of fried eggs and toats, all covered in flies. Personell speaks almost no english at all. We decided to stay there on our way from Bangkok to Phuket, but it would have been much better just to drive for a couple more hours and get to our final destination. If you have been to Bali before and expect to see the beauties of Ubud in this jungle and in this hotel, DON`T!

With a stay at Khao Sok Island Resort and Spa in Phanom, you'll be a 1-minute drive from Khao Sok National Park and 8 minutes from Cheow Lan Lake. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The bed was comfortable and the room was cleaner than expected. You are in the middle of the garden and close to nature so it is relaxing to hear the birds and monkeys around you. It is not far away from the restaurants.
Cons: Just to be aware of that the wifi in the room does not work but that only adds to the real nature experience.
Pros: Cheap and many monkeys around, you can easily listen to the jungle sounds :)
Cons: Wifi did not work in our bungalo
Pros: Basic bungalow, but absolutely okay for what you pay. Great place for monkey spotting, you'll see a lot more than in the park. Recommended for people who prefer a natural setting rather than comfort.
Pros: Great hosts, they couldn’t be more welcoming or kind. They food was also good value.
Cons: It is isolated and a lift from the host is required to get to any shops, restaurants etc.
Pros: The staff were very friendly
Pros: Last minute, late, availability and we were able to get a meal.
Cons: The bathroom: no hot water, no flushing toilet, the bed was hard and poor value for the amount paid.
Pros: Nice and clean fan room. Could be cheaper though.
Cons: Would be great to have mosquito nets on the windows and sleep with open windows instead of using a fan. At night they turn on bright lamps that light directly to the balconies and windows. And it's not possible to turn them off by themselves.
Pros: Welcomed by monkey family on arrival, who seem to live in the area. Which for the kids made up for the very worn out and rackety and not so clean cottages.
Cons: Worn out accommodations. Not very clean either.
Pros: Location is awesome. They sell cold water, plenty of parking. Super close to the national park and the travel agency. Staff is really helpful and they serve breakfast early. Its really quiet and also safe.
Cons: A few cockroaches and spiders but that's the real jungle experience :)
Pros: Great location, between trees, felt almost like in a jungle. This place is for people who are not afraid of small insects because the floors and bathroom walls were not totally closed so the small insects like spiders, ants, etc. can easily enter. However, there was a mosquito net above the bed which solved this issue. Other then that, the beds comfy and the village is so small that you can just walk to any restaurant/shop from there.
Cons: The receptionist was not very friendly and did not help much with our questions about what to visit in the area. Just gave us a catalog with tours and that was it.

Pros: Nice garden. Caring about guests worker men.
Cons: Luck of signs directing to resort. Everything was in Thai. Tailes in bathroom and fridge was dirty
Pros: Clean comfortable covered space to park..
Cons: As your basic No-tell motel it was fine.. except for the other guests arriving and leaving at all hours..
