Only location is the key
The staff is lazy and rude. Breakfast buffet was pathetic. Not tasted fresh at all.
We stayed originally 3 nights in a standard double and decided to stay another night as there was a bit more in the city we wanted to do. We asked at reception if we could stay in our room and they said it wasnt possible, so I simply booked online. We moved rooms which was fine - they kept hold of our bags. The rooms are nicely decorated and comfy beds. Shower was powerful enough and hot enough. Not too much noise and blackout curtains, not bad for the price but could be better. We paid 20usd for a standard double but most of their rooms were 40usd plus! The rooms we had were nice but youd expect working aircon and wifi for the price if its included in the specs.
The food in the restaurant wasnt great and small portions, but breakfast was better. The air con in the room was so bad that we woke at 3am boiling, asked reception for a fan and they came into our room at 3am and waved their hands in front of the air con. We were shocked and said "please can we just have a fan, we dont want to do this right now, its 3am". Thankfully they brought us a fan so that was fine in the end. Staff were friendly enough at reception but not very helpful. I'm not sure if it's just a language barrier but communication with the reception proved difficult at times. I left a product in the bathroom in the first room and asked 3 separate people at different times if they could check - finally (when I waited at reception) they sent housekeeping up and retrieved it. This could have been much more efficiently dealt with. Also the wifi in the second room we had was awful and barely connected for 2 minutes.
Late check in. Need to wait
Great value hotel near the central market with friendly staff and a good included breakfast. What made it a 10 for me was the gym - very small but amazingly equipped if you're into CrossFit or weight training (rower, air bike, kettle bells, heavy weights and bar plates). It's rare to find that in a hotel gym and I was really impressed with it!
The hotel is nearby the central market. It is just about 200m to walk there and 1,5km to Wat Phnom. The managers was very very supportive. Really appreciate their help when our bag was snatched
The hotel is nearby the central market. But there is a dangerous area to walk at night even before 10pm. We were snatched all money, phone, passport on the first night arrived (about 9:30pm), 70m from the hotel. However, The managers was very supportive to help us to obtain stolen report from the police officer. We met so many tourists was snatched their purse in Cambodia in the immigration office and the terrible thing was that we all had to pay kickbacks to the officers to get the exit visa, even the bodyguard also asked for money to let us in. Anw, Finally we landed home safely, thanks Pacific hotel management team and for other want to travel there, please be super careful when going to Phnompenh.
