Beautiful property with historical grandeur. Extremely comfortable room. Bathroom was dated, but exquisitely so. Competent personable staff that wasn’t intrusive or slithery as I’ve encountered elsewhere in the region. Unfortunately my stay was short and busy and I did not have time to enjoy all the facilities but this hotel has authentic classic style as opposed to the newer boutique hotels with superficial ‘bling’.
Excellent hotel and you must have dinner there.
Amazing staff...sincere, friendly, engaging and helpful. Couldn't have asked for better people.
It IS an old hotel, after all...so bathrooms were a little old fashioned, the water pressure wasn't great, etc. etc. The hotel has been modernized, but it's still a very, very old hotel--keep that in mind before you book.
The room is very comfortable and perfectly clean. The hotel in general is absolutely beautiful ! Service is amazing and all the staff are very helpful and professional. Everything will be taken care of for you. The pool area is great (although a little bit noisy due to some renovation work at the moment) and spa facilities are very nice.
Rooms with windows on the street can get noisy with the morning traffic from 5.00 and In the evenings.
The staff was excellent, with the front desk representatives welcoming us back after outings despite this being a rather large hotel. The hotel itself is an old style French building with lots of atmosphere, providing a sharp contrast to the contemporary cookie cutter high end hotels. The major sites are generally a Tuk Tuk ride away, so the location is very good. Overall, we were very happy with this hotel.
The rooms were a bit dark.
