Everything was great!
Breakfast area was crowded.
Large Rooms, abundant in-room amenities, good breakfast.
My room is too close to the engine--which often get noisy in the evening.
We had a beautiful picturesque view of the fall trees and the mountains. Great location on quiet street. Good hot breakfast. Everything was nice and clean and well-kept. Staff was friendly. Suite was nicely decorated. Loved the little balcony.
Shaky elevator (but it worked fine).
comfortable bed. Good location
near 20% tax and fees.
It was very clean and it felt like home in the room.
They should instruct guest that there is in fact a second elevator down the hall. Several people had no idea and the main one bogged down a lot.
The free breakfast was amazing. The pools were very nice also.
I expected the suite to have its own bedroom not connected with the living room.
Fine hotel and room suite. Clean, nice pools and location.
Peaceful, clean, very friendly. Pools were wonderful.
Beds were comfortable.
The hotel needed updating. The blanket in the closet was worn out and had holes in it.
The rooms were excellent and very clean
The staff was not very friendly. We left a phone charger in the room. Went the next day to ask if they found it and the lady just said I haven't seen it and didn't even look. We went back later and a man went and looked in lost and found and it was there
Everything they said they had they had. It was like an efficiency stove, refrig, microwave, coffee makerand all. Very nice location away from the main distractions but not to far, you could walk there, Quiet no problem sleeping . The only thing I didnt like was an old TV with a poor cable connection not a flat screen. This is a nice htel with a nice staff .I had no problems.
Pros: Room was spacious and modern. Loved the swimming pools and outdoor hot tub. Great location. Cons: Office staff unfriendly. They always gave us short answers and made us feel as if we were bothering them. We needed towels on 2 occasions, and they supposedly were all out of towels. We never did get them as requested. Beds were hard and uncomfortable. Indoor hot tub was chilly - not hot at all! Elevator slow and annoying. Overall, we are used to hotels who bend over backwards to please their guests, and MainStay didn't even come close.
The Mainstay Suites in Pigeon Forge, Tn was beautiful . It is a very clean hotel and the staff was very nice and helpful. Surrounding the hotel is the beautiful Smokey Mountains. Very quiet since it was about 1/2 mile from the Parkway. A trolley arrives daily so that you do not have to drive anywhere if you dont want to. The breakfast was very good. Rooms were spacious. There is a beautiful heated swimming pool and hot tub. I would definitly stay there again when I go back to Pigeon Forge. This hotel is highly recommended by me.
My husband was impressed with the check-in. No standing but an invitation to sit & check in. The room was small but super clean. 2 TVs...one remote. Breakfast was typical but included so no problem here. I would consider staying again.
My wife & I plus our two kids had none of the poor experiences. The room was very large, very clean, and had nearly a full kitchen. No pest problems whatsoever. The breakfast was a typical continental (pastries, cereal, coffee) plus waffles, biscuits & gravy, and one meat. And there were no 'hidden' charges applied to us. It has a great outdoor pool, hot tub, and a 'lazy river' for kids to float on with inner tubes that are provided for free. (Kids loved it.) There's also an indoor pool & fitness center, which we never used. It's centrally located in Pigeon Forge, but is actually about a quarter mile off the main drag on some farmland. So it's much more quiet than the other hotels in the area. My only complaint was that the Internet access was not great. It is wireless, but the signal was quite weak in our room. I often went to the lobby with my iBook. It worked fine there. Otherwise... what's not to like?
The breakfast buffet is always empty...plan on several trips just to get coffee and food. Also an additional ''pre-booking'' fee applies - plan on spending about $25.00 per day extra than what you pay
our reservations was mixed up and they would not fix it. they said they would get the manager to call, but he never did. room was smoking also, what a smell. it was such a huge disappointment for my children. the room had a pest problem. ants everywhere. i went to the front dest to report this and the clerk was asleep. what a nightmare, we spent practically the entire weekend trying to fix their problem and mix up. we would have went to another hotel if they would have been honest, and quit trying to put it off on the manager (who I dont think actually exits)
