Room was reasonably clean. Walking distance to the beach. Bathroom needed a fresh coat of paint and better lighting. Neighbors were loud.
Very friendly staff, loved the close walk to the beach as well as the pool and hot tub.
We really enjoyed our stay. I booked this last minute while we were on a road trip up the coast. I liked how it was so close to the beach and we even considered staying another night. We had to keep going, but this place and the Pismo Beach area was definitely one of the highlights of our entire trip.
The beach is at walking distance which is great. The wifi was not connecting and very slow when it would, loud neighbors, and the lights would sometimes not turn on.
Bed was comfortable, lots of television channels. Very close to the water- you can walk right down to the beach. Great proximity to restaurants and shopping. Front desk staff was friendly and recommended a good place to eat. Not the most luxurious, but good for a vacation on a budget
We liked the view of the beach from our room and the close proximity to the beach. This hotel is also very close to the pier and main shopping areas. The breakfast was pretty basic. I've stayed at lesser hotels that have a better breakfast than this hotel.
Although the property is older it was clean and the location was fantastic. The value was awesome.
It was a great location. No food available arriving after 830.
Loved the close proximity to the beach! No complaints here! Wifi not working too well
There was no heat for our room..,freezing
Its a great location- it's right on the beach, and it had a nice area to relax with a beer and take in the sunset. It was a perfect place to stop while driving down route-1. Nothing
Loved the location! So close to everything I wanted to do and can't beat the amazing view! Will definitely be staying here again! N/A
Location Kids in the hot tub after sunset
Nice room great location
The hotel was wonderful. We enjoyed the hot tub on our balcony and the fireplace in the room. The continental breakfast at our door was ok, I think the hotel could make it a little nicer by making it more 'home made'. Our only complaint would be on the second morning we had to call and ask when our breakfast would be delivered as it was almost noon when we called. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I am looking forward to coming again soon!
A wonderful experience at the SeaVenture is always a guarantee. The spa deluxe room has everything a couple needs to have the most romantic vacation ever!! This is a favorite of my and my husband for our anniversary. The wonderful service and food is incomparable in the area. Not to mention the beautiful view of the pacific ocean. In room jacuzzi, plush robes, and the daily continental breakfast delivered to our door! It really doesn't get better than this for your dollar. We would recommend the SeaVenture to any couple young or old for the best romantic stay on the Central Coast.
My husband made the reservations for my birthday. The room was nice I enjoyed the jucuzzi and the nice location. The only problem I encountered was the dining room was not available the weekend we stay at the SeaVenture. We had to leave the room when I had anticipated in staying in and enjoying a nice quiet evening. One positive thing occured from this inconvenience we had dinner at the 'CRACKED CRAB' which was totally satisfying. Good atmosphere, good food, excellent service, and a wonderful time!
I thought by choosing the most expensive room on your site was paying for a beach view. I found out you can only reserve beach view rooms by calling directly the hotel. The rooms are extremely small, especially for the price. I would not stay there again.
Amenities include private hot tub on each balcony; fireplace in every room; excellent beds and linens; right on Pismo Beach. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, and the bottle of Pinot Noir on arrival was a nice touch. There is a good gift shop area in the lobby with reasonable prices. The breakfast basket delivered to the door (order placed the night before) was fabulous, very well done, and what was supposed to be hot, was hot - for $5.00 - REALLY!
We love staying at the SeaVenture. It was our honeymoon hotel back in 1998, and we've been back several times. Being close to the beach is great, except when there's an event happening in downtown Pismo (get's noisy). Rooms are great for couples. Get a little cramped with families. Recommend the Lighthouse in that case...although you lose some convenience walking to the beach. The hot tub balconies are great. Ocean view is spectacular. Rooms are comfortable and quiet. Breakfast in a basket is quite good. Great place to get away.
Well, where do I start? We showed up at 3pm and were told that the room was not ready yet and that they would all us when it was ready. We sat out on the beach and had not heard from them by 4pm. We walked back to the hotel only to find out that they had just checked in the wrong ppl into our room, asked them to leave and then gave us the slightly used room with sand on the bed. Our room was not an ocean view, instead it was directly over an extremely dilapidated residence with a large barking dog and noisy residents. We are used to traveling a lot and would also say that the rooms are fairly small for a family. We most likely would not return here, but if you want to try it out I wouldn't stay in anything other than an ocean view. Throughout the trip the elevator was not working. My husband has a knee injury and carrying stuff up and down stairs was not helpful. I decided to relax in the tub, only to find no bathtub, only a shower. Yes, there is a hot tub on the balcony if you don't mind the dog barking at you. Then we decided to watch a movie, only to find that the movie channel wasn't working and no repairman was around to fix it. The following morning a breakfast basket was delivered, which was pleasant, and shortly thereafter the repair man showed up and fixed the TV. We returned to our room after dinner only to find out it wasn't working again. The front desk said they would reset it and call us.....no return call again, no movie channel, no surprise.
Stayed for a few days in October 2008. Can't wait to come back. We liked that the resort was in walking distance to the pier, shops and restaurants. Staff was very pleasant and was able to answer questions about the local area.
Loved it! Private spa is clean and well maintained
Exchanged room to a room with a view, and extended stay by one night. A good getaway and convenient to pier and restaurants.
I just stayed for one night on a weekday during a trip up the coast, and the SeaVenture was by far the most relaxing experience. The feather bed was divine, the view unmatchable, and the hot tub made the gloomy weather enjoyable. I would reccommend calling in to book an oceanview room, and to stay on a weekday or off season to avoid the noise and crowds. Loved the soaps too!
This is our favorite beach hotel so far!!! The hotel is small and cozy with the closest proximity to the ocean. Step out your door and your literally on the beach. Ocean view rooms are amazing, spent most of our time out on the balcony with the hot tub. Would recommend 100%!!!
I'm not sure I enjoyed myself there, but after a few days on the road and hot shower was nice The walls were so extremely thin, we could hear the couple next door making love. There was no co air climate control. You could hear the highway at night.
The location. 3 blocks from the beach. The room was dirty, holes in the sheets, WiFi didn't work, week old pastries for breakfast. heat control in the room was unregulated.
under $100 and you can walk to the beach! right off 101, but room was quiet at night.
The room was booked because it had a refrigerator & microwave & I presumed a coffee maker as all others we have been in had one. There were was no coffee maker & no cups of any sort in the room , even to drink water from, which is the only hotel in 3 weeks on the road to not even supply a plastic cup!
Good proximity to restaurants, shops and beach a Little noisy as it is next to 101
Rooms refurnished, clean nothing
Room was clean and staff were friendly. Don't expect a continental breakfast. Breakfast consisted of muffins and coffee/tea in the Motel reception with nowhere to sit. The Motel served our purpose as a base from which to travel, but do not expect to be near the beach.
Location. Patti at the reception desk was extremely friendly and gave some great recommendations for restaurants and hiking trails. Also, gave us needed items to lounge on the beach. Our room had mostly a view of the rooftop next door and only a partial view of the beach.

Hotel employee was super helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Walking distance to the pier, downtown, shopping and the beach. Full kitchen if you wanted to cook. We were very close to the beach, but I was hoping for a room that was literally on the beach, we were about half a block from the beach and another hotel blocked our ocean/beach view.
Location was superb. The room was very clean. The beach and ocean view from the balcony was spectacular. The mattress was a pillow top. I need a firmer mattress for a bad back and woke each morning with a back ache. The wood smoke smell from a local restaurant forced us to close up in the evening instead of opening up the door and window for the breeze.
The town and beach. No staff after nine. No wifi. View is blocked by many phone lines. Sunset blocked by telephone pole. No restaurant.
The blue whale, hump back and the Orca all from my bed
Perfect location and great rooms!
Location to the beach and restaurants It would have been nice to have breakfast
The balcony and the view. The room layout was also nice. Everything was OK. The furnishings, specifically the chairs, could have been more comfortable.
Location. Steps from beach and 2 blocks from downtown. No A\C
Friendly staff, lovely view No we love to stay again
this motel was very handy, room was nice, 2 big queen size beds which were comfy. facilities in the room were good. would need a car to get to the beach/town though location was alright but would need a car to get around
located in very veatuful small town. Very close to the beach and ocean. peaceful
Very convenient location, didn't use our car the whole time we were there, just walked everywhere we wanted to go. Room was clean. Housemaids were very friendly. Complimentary breakfast is just store bought unwrapped muffins and cereal in the front office. AIr conditioning would crap out occasionally but was mostly during the day and late at night when you'd expect to be gone or asleep, felt like intentional programming to keep their costs down. Don't expect to drink from the tap, it tastes funky.
The beds were very comfy and it was so close to the beach and shopping. Only 5 minutes from the beach. The room was kind of small, looking at the picture it seemed bigger, but we made it work. There was no elevator also.
Ease of access Tight spaces bed was too big for the room and large shelf so it was a very small squeeze to get through furniture to bathroom. Had to turn sideways abd walk funny side stepping through, probably doesn't meet safety codes because of this reason.
The location was nice They did not give us the room we payed for instead of two queen beds it was one queen bed and a sofa and they had no other rooms available
Great location right on a beautiful beach. Staff is very nice, room is clean. You can walk to Pismo Pier and all the restaurants nearby. Easy parking Rooms are small and simple, this is not some cutesy bed and breakfast place. This is a sleep and shower place because you are going be out enjoying the beach.
The location is perfect. We had a beautiful view, we were in walking distance to many restaurants, shops, beach and pier. The rooms are small, and the hotel is old. But that was expected, as long as its clean, I fine with that and it was.
the location and staff were outstanding! no concerns
I would say location was the best thing. I also thought the staff was very nice and accomodating. The price was the only thing that I did not like. But it was Labor Day weekend and right on the beach so that is to be expected.
Location is great. Door wouldn't close unless it was slammed. Furniture looked as if purchased at a yard sale ten years ago. Only one door lock, the door knob. A 22 inch television monitor,(really, couldn't afford the 32 inch?) no refrigerator, no coffee pot and the pillow
Location: Right on the beach and a short walk to the water. Very old unit in questionable repair.
Location. You could not beat it. The bathroom sink was clogged and took several minutes to drain. The lamp next to the bed had the cord cut off. You had to unplug either the TV or refrigerator if you wanted to use the microwave. Door had no dead bold and had a rinky-dink door knob.
Got it for a good price. The view next to the ocean is breathtaking. Like many hotels in this area, it is old and out-dated, but we got it for a good price and used it only for sleeping. The room had NO phone, NO closet, and of course, no microwave or refrigerator. It was clean, but Spartan
The location of the hotel is awesome and the staff was very welcoming. The rooms are not modern, though they are very clean. Smaller rooms than I am used to.
It was by the beach Dirty. Too expensive for a trashed motel
The best thing about this hotel was it was right on the pier other than that was a horrible experience Well let's start off with there was lipstick on my pillowcase pretty gross then there's bedbugs in the bed I took pictures of them disgusting on top of that tried to call the office to the inform them and the phone did not work
Awesome hotel, been going here for years! It would have been nice if they had more TV channels for kids.
The best thing about the Hotel is the location its very close to the beach and the downtown area. The bathroom has be remodeled and very nice. The staff was very nice. What I didn't like was the carpet were very dirty they turned the bottom of your socks black. The front door was very hard to get open due to excess paint, the windows would not lock not very secure. I told the manager said didn't have much crime in area.
LOCATION Read all reviews. Same bad experience with the owner, room smelled very bad, door lock so old it was inoperable. We checked in and out within 10 minutes, it's that bad
Close to everything.....a minute walk to beach, pier, food, and shopping. Pool was out of service due to construction and never noted on any website....needless to say my son was disappointed. Continental breakfast displayed on sign in front of hotel consisted of only regular coffee ( no decaf), orange juice, and mini muffins.
Great location, room was clean with big couch and extra beds, close to beach and walking distance to restaurants and nite club. Close to the famous cinnamon rolls and coffee for the morning. Pool was down but that didn't matter when you have a beautiful beach.
i really think the price was excellent for location hope they stay like that and the room yes its not motel 6 yet but it was quit nice nope was great
Right near the beach, epic Was no heater and and some outlets didn't work
The hotel is located in a fantastic spot. The beds are comfortable and very clean. The staff(ed) very helpful.
The motel is clean and only a block off the beach in the down town area of Pismo Beach. the motel is dated and the office does not open until 8:00 AM making early check out a little difficult.
Location Room was hot due to heater pumping hot air (unable to turn off). When I booked the room it was for 2 queen beds, got a queen and a double. Room wasn't very clean.
This hotel is a block for the beach and behind Brads Seafood and across from Splash. The location was great, We arrived 20 minutes early and told we could not check in. The room was ready we were sitting on a bench right in front of the window. The room was tiny the staff unfriendly. The breakfast a joke small muffins and coffee. Room is tiny!!!!
The Location Parking should be assigned
one block away from the sea
5 minute walk to Pismo Beach and docks as well as shopping and food places. Heated 4'-8' deep pool. The manager was very nice. Some of the people staying were a bit noisy but it was not the staff's fault.
Very old and tired, rooms were musty with hardly any facilities, pool had seen better days
Close to Pismo State rv Campground. No closet to hang your clothes. They say continental breakfast, but it is only coffee and some rolls. The price I paid was more than the walk in rate. He gave me a discount because I paid him cash. The only reason I say yes I would recommend this hotel is because of its location.
