8.8 Excellent
Pros: The views of the lake were fantastic.
Cons: A little isolated. I prefer places where you can walk to for restaurants.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: It was a nice touch with the locally sourced breakfast meat. Thank you for having hot coffee 24/7.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everyone at Wolf Cove Inn was extremely friendly and we loved the views. The photos on line strongly represented the location. It was beautiful and kept up very well. No detail was spared from the large shampoo and conditioner in the shower as well as a liquid soap. We enjoyed visiting with both the owners and staff. All were extremely nice and welcoming and the food not only tasted incredible but was beautiful as well. The extra touch of having soda and bottled water available at all times showed they totally were thinking about what those traveling could use.
Cons: At this time I really could not come up with anything I would change. We felt like every attention to detail was taken.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was excellent. Great variety, quality and attention to detail. Location was perfect for us for our ideal kind of vacation. Very comfortable and homey, which we liked! Lot of little touches to make the stay pleasant, especially the all day coffee availability! The staff and hosts were very pleasant and accommodating. We liked it so much we hope to go back again next year!
Cons: Lighting in the bathroom could have been brighter around the mirror.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The inn is a amazing. We stayed here on a referral from our close friends and it was a memorable moment to stay at this property. The lake is beautiful and to wake up and eat breakfast overlooking the lake is priceless. One another note the breakfast service was amazing the food and service are over the top.

Pros: Execelent breakfast, two special options plus fresh tea bread and muffins.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was lovely place, clean as a whistle with very friendly people.
Cons: We were on the third floor. I would ask for floor two next time. It was a good climb for us being a little older. Of course they didn't' know that when we booked it..
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: nothing
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely setting on a pond, with parking convenient to the inn building. Greeting by staff (Jackie, for us) was warm and gracious. Also when we arrived: mouth-watering aromas wafted from the inn kitchen: the kitchen staff was preparing for the next morning breakfast, and: freshly baked cookies just taken out of the oven. Self-serve tea & coffee, and cold beverages : soda, water available for guests’ enjoyment. Rooms comfortable: beds/pillows/towels all high quality. Rooms painted in a soothing neutral palette. Bathrooms updated, some rooms feature spa tubs as well as showers. Common areas: dining area, living room area, sun porch all with views of the pond. Decor: warm, wood-paneled walls, large stone fireplace, sofas and upholstered chairs beckon: for relaxing with friends/ family, for curling up with a book, or checking email (the wifi is good here). Breakfast here is amazing, all cooked to order: french toast, eggs Benedict, eggs any way, bacon, homefries, fresh fruit. Served with a smile, and on occasion a story or joke told by the chef. Awesome coffee, served in hand-thrown pottery mugs.
Cons: The only small detail that might improve the experience of the Wolf Cove Inn is more outlets in the guest rooms for charging laptops/phones/ etc.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautifully restored mansion with great attention to detail. Excellent breakfast. Theresa was wonderful. We highly recommend this Inn.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean and comfortable....just like being at home except it's in a beautiful old renovated house. We had the attached bathroom which wasn't a problem at all. The bed was very comfortable and the linens were soft and fluffy. Theresa, the proprietor was gracious and made some amazing breakfasts for us. We were right in town so we could walk to a couple of restaurants nearby. I would highly recommend the Penley house as an alternative to a hotel stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was delicious and Theresa was incredibly accommodating and friendly.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very pleasant and accommodating hostess. I don't like pancakes, so she made me eggs, lol. Nice old fashioned decor. Plenty of hot water, big bath towels. Bed steps (now I'm spoiled and must have them in my own home!).
Cons: House is a little run down in spots (peeling paint and such), but I suppose it adds to the old charm of it, lol. LOTS of stairs, not really a problem, but would've liked to have it mentioned in description, as I have a sprained ankle.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great value for the money. Beautiful house with many nice and large rooms. Very comfortable bed! Delicious breakfast. The house is in walking distance to downtown Auburn, including the river walk. In fact, we enjoyed our stay so much that we wanted to stay another night - unfortunately all rooms were booked.

Pros: Everything the room, breakfast, staff.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The house was beautifully decorated in the Victorian era. Staff was very pleasant and welcoming. I stayed in the Jessica room. Very clean! The beds were very comfortable. There was even a small deck off my room with 2 chairs to sit and drink coffee out!. I would definitely recommend!
Cons: Driveway was not well lit at night,
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Teresa was warm and welcoming with her full attention to our needs, excellent breakfast each morning.
Cons: The proximity of our room to the street made the “Penley” room a little noisy until later in the evening.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I have a really comfortable bed at home but I slept better there than in my own bed. The people were as nice as you'll find anywhere, at any price. Breakfast was always a treat and my room, the Lexi, was so pretty. They went to clean right after I left and called me immediately to let me know I'd forgotten my hat! Thank you so much!
Cons: The toilet paper holder fell off the wall. I'm sure it's fixed now.

9.3 Excellent
Pros: I arrived late at night and left early in the morning so didn't interact with anyone at the property. But the room had old-fashioned charm, bed was comfortable and the showerhead was excellent. They have their own parking lot right next to the inn.
7.0 Good
Pros: Bed was comfortable. Place was clean
Cons: When you are a B & B it should include breakfast, not cost extra. $12.50 a person was a bit steep. Also, tub had large chips on the bottom.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful accommodations, the home is from 1898 time frame with modifications in 1926, updated recently. Excellent breakfast. Host very accommodating.
Cons: This was my first B&B, so none. This will be the ‘bar’ I measure others from.
7.5 Good
Cons: Bed was lil old and squeaky.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed 3 nights to visit family. The Inn is a beautiful and meticulously restored Queen Ann building. Olga served a delicious breakfast each day prepared with locally sourced ingredients. We have stayed at hotels in the area, but cannot imagine doing that again after finding the Munroe Inn.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast they cooked was absolutely amazing!!
Cons: Everything was excellent
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Owner very nice.
Cons: Everything was excellent.
6.3 Good
Pros: The bed was a very comfortable king size.
Cons: This property should be called B.... not B & B, since it is the first Bed and Breakfast that we have stayed that charges $ 25.00 additional for breakfast, Beds and Breakfasts are very clear includes both items with the $ 207. cost. Sorry but that is the way we feel. Also those very old rugs in the bathroom should be thrown out, is not pleasant to stand on them, we used towels to cover them. The Owner, Olga was very nice and very informative. she helped us with choices of restaurants and she called us to inform that she had sent an email with checking in instructions, since we checked around 10 PM.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It's rare to find such comfort and art in a very old home, but the Munroe Inn has it all: beautiful touches everywhere, very comfortable bed, good wi-fi, special soaps, tea and coffee provided, a lovely porch on a quiet street and a funny dog. It's an easy walk to Lewiston.

5.0 Okay
Pros: It had a small pool that we were able to at least cool off in a few times over the weekend.
Cons: We will not return. The service was not good, I had to call the front desk to ask for our room to be cleaned and straightened, the staff was incredibly rude, and the reciept given to me for the weekend and what my card were charged were different amounts

8.8 Excellent
Pros: How friendly the staff was and how clean everything is.
Cons: The pool was was a tad too warm. Disappointed there were no drawers in room but we managed.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The gym and pool were both nice. The staff was quite friendly and helpful.
Cons: A King suite was reserved but the room only had a queen. The room was more suited for business travel. No room service or restaurant. Most parking was taken by the casino guests across the street.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent beds, breakfast, and location.
7.5 Good
Pros: The breakfast was very good and the woman who oversaw the preparation was wonderful---so helpful and interested in making breakfast a very pleasant experience. Also a good variety of food choices. The staff were very pleasant. The room was very quiet. The bathtub had many bars for safety.
Cons: The handicap room only had one chair and the room accommodated 4 people and that chair was small and on rolling wheels which made it very difficult and dangerous for handicapped people. We had to sit on the beds. The room really should have a least one large stationary upholstered chair to sit on. Also 3 channels of the direct TV were not functioning and my Mom was very disappointed as she missed her favorite show. The staff person was very nice and he tried to fix the channels but it did not work. . The halls looked as if they needed to be vacuumed and the rear entrance door had either dried blood or chocolate smeared on the glass door. The room was clean but the bed cover was hanging on the floor which could easily cause a person to trip.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our room was very confortable. The heated pool was awesome.
Cons: The room was small.
6.0 Good
Pros: I always stay at Hampton Inns and this one was adjacent to Oxford Casino. They always serve an excellent breakfast and as much as you can eat. Coffee is always available 24/7 and the staff is always there to help you when you need it.
Cons: Handicap parking could have been closer to the entrance although the front entrance looked very nice.
10.0 Excellent

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Extra cozy bed, compared to my one at home. Slept good. Great a.c., booking was a cinche as well as checkout. Breakfast good.
Cons: Ate breakfast at 630 am , good. However the floor and tables where still filthy from day before it looked like. The ceiling ventilation where covered with impacted dust over the tables and looked they where never cleaned, ever, this was my 4th stay here and never seen the eating area in such a decline.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Neat clean modern and friendly
Cons: Beds were uncomfortable
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The comforter felt like a giant hug
Cons: Everything was perfect
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The continental breakfast was the best I've ever had, both children loved it! I loved the smoothies and green juice!!! The kids loved the pool!
Cons: How loud it was in the pool room, there needs to be sound reducing panels on the walls. Did not care for the crepe paper feeling of the comforters.

Pros: The house was charming with a very interesting history. The location was perfect to walk through a park to get to the main street and other interest in Lewiston. I also appreciated the little touches such as extra toothbrushes, etc in case you forgot and a flashlight by the night stand. Also the locks on the front door and our room were very easy to use and very secure.

Chocolates, wine, and a heart of rose petals were placed on the bed ! Absolutely wonderful, and so very much appreciated.

Cons: Hard to find anything not to like!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: I just love this inn. The owners are so nice and friendly. If you like to stay in New England style (I think) house, this is a place to go for. I got a room with a nice bath tub and had enjoyed that a lot :). They have no on-site breakfast but always coffee (+ fridge and microwave).
Cons: It's not in the best part of the town. If you have a car, you should be fine. I took Lyft/Uber to get around.

5.8 Okay
Pros: The lady who owns the Inn is very nice and friendly. There are only snacks no breakfast. You get coupons to go into town and get discount breakfast. The picture of the room on the website and booking.com was nothing like the room we were given. It was clean, the bathroom was clean.
Cons: Location!

Pros: Our hosts at the Inn were wonderful and the location couldn't be better. There's lots to do in the area and very good restaurants near by. A 50 minute drive gets you to North Conway shopping outlets and the scenery on the way is beautiful. This is an older Inn but very clean and a it was so nice to be able to come downstairs for a great cup of coffee and breakfast. Thank you Rene and Patrick!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly Innkeeper who took the time to show us around. Nice motel accommodations which were super clean. Unexpectedly nice rainfall shower head in bathroom. Very pleased.
Cons: Parking area was challenging due to mud season in Maine.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Liked friendly, cozy, attention from owners and very accommodating.
7.5 Good
Pros: The owner showed us around the property. It was a nice old inn.
Cons: The beds needed updating , spring type mattress. Also were expecting breakfast and we found out latter it was seasonal and then when we got home I had a message that they where serving breakfast. A knock on the door would have been helpful. All in all not bad place.
6.3 Good
Pros: Hosts were congenial. Breakfast was good.
Cons: We were there on our honeymoon, and had booked a room at the Inn--the main house. Imagine our surprise when the host told us he had "upgraded" us to the motel section. The room we got there smelled strongly of Febreze and we managed to change rooms, but still in the motel section, not the Inn. In retrospect, we should have insisted on getting the room we originally booked. Also, the pool was closed by the county for a safety violation, and so that too was disappointing. There was no place to sit outside other than on the motel porch. Finally, the motel is just 50 feet back from a major state road. Not quiet or peaceful.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were so pleasant
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Swimming in the Sebago Lake was a fantastic experience (make sure to not go to the resort, but the state park). Very friendly hosts, cozy rooms, good breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We liked everything about this place!! Property is very nice. Loved having the option of staying at the Inn or Motel. Rooms are spotless. Anything you may need is within reach! Parking is perfect and location is exactly where we wanted to be. Many places to eat(check times) 20 minutes from Freeport shopping - LL Bean and dozens of other shops. By far the best part of the trip were our hosts at the Maplewood Inn and Motel. We were greeted warmly upon arrival, given a tour of the Inn and taken to our motel room. The Inn itself is lovingly appointed with historical memorabilia. The dining areas were very welcoming and homey. Patrick and Rene were available any time we had a question or need. Suggestions of where to dine were much appreciated and offered excellent food! The care that our hosts took in making sure we were comfortable was unlike any place we have been. Their sweet surprise is something we will never forget! If you are looking for a place to stay that is comfortable, clean and welcoming give Maplewood a try - you will be pleased with your choice. If you are looking for a commercial, brand name accommodation with sterile atmosphere, catatonic staff and double the price, don't bother stopping here!
Cons: My own choice to stay at the Motel. Will definitely stay in the Inn for our next trip!
7.0 Good
Pros: Staff was very friendly and accomodating
Cons: Mattress was very poor which made the possibility of a good night's sleep very difficult. For the cost of one night stay I would have hope for something other than the continental breakfast offered.
7.5 Good
Pros: Very friendly and accommodating inn keeper! Convenient location.

Pros: Great place to stay clean and has alot to offer, free breakfast is always a plus. Front desk staff super friendly. Close to casino as well

10.0 Excellent
Pros: SPECIAL MEAL JUST FOR ME
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was lovely and the staff were friendly.
Cons: Bed was hard :(
6.3 Good
Pros: The Innkeepers couldn't have been any nicer! The breakfast each morning was exceptional! The water pressure in the shower was great, with plenty of hot water! Would have been nice to have a couple of bottles of water in the fridge when we arrived.
Cons: We didn't get a great first impression when we walked up to the front door. There were weeds along the entrance, and it just didn't look attractive, unlike many of the previous B & B's we've been to. There were two cats that were running around when we were having breakfast. Something should be mentioned in the website about cats being inside the premises. The pillows that we put our heads down on, smelled. We had to put our fleeces on top of them to sleep, so they should all be replaced. The mattresses seemed like they should be replaced also, they weren't very comfortable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The property was interesting. Nice inn keeper
Cons: No complaints.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We really loved our stay here, it's an extremely comfortable, beautifully furnished, home away from home with very welcoming hosts & a wonderful breakfast
Cons: There was nothing to dislike, we wished we were staying longer than just one night.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Couldn't have been more delighted to stay here. Rachel Lynn (the innkeeper) was super friendly and very interested in our well-being. We had a suite upstairs with a private sitting room, bathroom and kitchen. Throughout the day we could see the inn's ducks and chickens milling about from our suite. The suite is decorated in Americana and there were books and magazines for our perusal. Breakfast always started with a fresh fruit cup and sometimes with veggies right out of Rachel Lynn's garden! She is a marvelous cook and fed us French toast, a kale, broccoli and goat cheese scramble, blueberry pancakes and oven-baked eggs with tomatoes to be put on large English muffins. There was also ham and sausage, orange juice, coffee and tea. The property has two delightful cats, Jack and Jill, and if you want to pet them you can; however, Rachel Lynn is very sensitive to guests' wishes that the cats don't bother them. The George Perley House is a bit out of the way (well, we're from SF, so everything seems like a long drive to us), and we really liked it. One day we took a delightful and very easy hike up the road and into the forest nearby. I think we received Maine's hospitality at its finest- thank you Rachel Lynn and Michael (her husband, who was also very friendly!)
Cons: We were delighted with our entire stay.

Pros: This Hotel deserves an exceptional rating. It was the best of my 16 day solo journey across parts of Eastern USA & Can. The owners, the property, the room and grounds are exxellent. I stayed there twice during my travels. I strongly recommend this hotel.
Cons: I liked everything. They have guest laundry machines and reasonably priced vending machines.
7.4 Good
Pros: Our hotel was an older hotel but it was clean and comfortable. The area was quiet and other guests seemed quiet and respectful, looking for a good value in this tourist location. Microwave & refrig in room. The room was clean & beds comfortable. The desk person was courteous & efficient. All said, the hotel was perfect for our short stay business trip.
Cons: it was a bit confusing to find on our GPS due to the layout of the streets. The lounge area was not very large or attractive.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Staff seemed pleasant but not concerned enough to give a discount because room leaked.
Cons: Cigarette butts everywhere outside, room smelled musty, and there was leak in the corner of the room.
4.5 Okay
Pros: Relatively close to everything I needed
Cons: Out dated air conditioning. To close to bed and to loud
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The lady at the front desk was awesome! Extremely friendly and helpful--she went above my expectations to make our stay comfortable. The room was clean, and everything worked. The bed was good, a bit firmer than I prefer, but nowhere near as hard as I've found in more expensive establishments. The included breakfast was fine and what I expect in an establishment in this price range. Parking was secure and it is close to numerous restaurants and stores. I would not hesitate to stay there again.
Cons: I've honestly no complaints, sorry. :-)

Pros: Great front desk at check in and check out. Friendly, cheerful and sincere. Easy parking. Clean room with comfy bed and pillows.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The bed was very comfortable. The pillows were awesome. Would like to buy 2 of them. The staff in the lounge were great. They worked their butts off. Wish food in the morning was different daily ,but for the price it was good.
Cons: The bathroom is way too small. A notch was cut out of the door just to shut the door. Had an issue with housekeeping the 2nd day but management quickly fixed it .
6.3 Good
Pros: Staff were efficient and service was good. Fridge (very large), microwave and coffee machines in room. Lots of pillows in bed. Next to the highway so I guess this is a good spot for a quick stop?
Cons: Middle of nowhere, you need your car to go anywhere. A good 50 minutes to go to Portland or Cap Elizabeth. Rooms are dated a bit (esp. In the bathroom), and you can hear absolutely anything that are said in the corridor or next door. People were gattering in the corridor so it was a pain a bit. I could hear very clearly the shower in the next room at 6 in the morning, or their toilet. Very noisy.
7.5 Good
Pros: I liked how it wasn’t in a busy area but everything was very close and convenient. I liked how clean it was and the staff was friendly.

Cons: Hotel staff was incredibly rude and management treated me terribly
7.0 Good
Pros: Comfortable clean
Cons: I was booked in someone else’s room and given a key. When it didn’t work I went back to the desk where they programmed another key. Upon entry to room discovered it was occupied - fortunately no one was in the room or I would have been mortified and embarrassed). Staff offered apologies and comped breakfast but frankly that was not enough My elderly father had to wait in the hall in a chair during all of this

9.3 Excellent
Cons: Could've cleaned the jacuzzi
5.5 Okay
Pros: Location, Bed, nothing else

Pros: Rooms surprisingly maintained Vice the rest of the hotel.
Cons: Musty smelling hallways. Very dark hallways. They turned my room key off after 3 days citing hotel policy after 3 days. On my 5th morning security & the maid staff tried breaking into my room before 0800 without notice.

Pros: Hotel is clean, staff are friendly
Cons: For the price, there is nothing fancy about this hotel. The tv did not work. The beds and pillows were generic, not amazingly comfortable. The fireplace in the room does not work. The AC was either extremely cold or hot and humid. The continental breakfast is just okay. If the price was cheaper, this would have been a good value but not at this price-I expect more.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean and new. No frills; it's what you expect from Motel 6.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Bed was good. Tub surround was new
Cons: We are not smokers and our room was very heavily scented with smoke. They had the window open to air it out. But they had no non-smoking room available. The room was half empty. A bed, small table, 2 chairs and tv. All of this was in one half of room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was just what we needed after a long move from Florida to Maine
Cons: Nothing
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Not much
Cons: Room was dirty, floors had blood on them in bathroom, toilet had snot on the lid. Was loud and smelled like someone was smoking pot in a room. No waters available in machine.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was clean and brand new
Cons: Noise in hallway till 12 at night
5.5 Okay
Pros: The room was decent enough. Clean as far as we could tell. Beds were neatly made, and were more comfortable than expected.
Cons: The area was less than overwhelming. There's no actual "housekeeping". I didn't like that the outside door to the back staircase was left propped open... I would definitely recommend locking everything & anything, the room included.
5.5 Okay
Pros: There wasn't any food available at the hotel, BUT there is a Ramada within walking distance that had a nice breakfast buffet and dinner options that were open to the public.
Cons: The room was just very basic. Too "basic". I couldn't even find a spot to put my computer and when I did, the wifi didn't work well. The furniture was dorm quality at best. The bed was comfortable though.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: The location
Cons: Room was dirty. Front desk person was rude and unhelpful. After a 14 hour drive to the location, they woke me and my family up at 1:00 am to tell us we needed to change rooms because they put us in the wrong room. Booked hotel a week and a half in advance and still was messed up. Will NEVER stay here again and will tell others to stay away from the property. Motel 6 corporate should really look closer at this location. Definitely not a crown jewel in your franchise. Now you’ll see the standard property response about how sorry they are but will work harder to do better. DON’T BET ON IT!! Stay elsewhere!!
