The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and quiet. The garden and pool area was well kept and inviting. The breakfast was enjoyable.
They know how to welcome the clients. That's important Not really
Good honest hotel which provides a good bed for the night at a reasonable price
Nivce hotel, good rooms and a good restaurant. Reasonable close to Ardeche and other sites of interest.
It is in a convenient location, yet quiet from the road. It is near other restaurants and bars - and there's a pool
The simple buth delicious meal served by beautiful staff personel! The very nice pool
Relaxed friendly hotel with excellent food. My wife and I stayed here twice, once travelling South, and again three weeks later returning. The hotel stands in its own pleasant grounds and we had a peaceful night's sleep on both occasions. Staff were helpful and friendly. Some English. The shower! It was not possible to adjust it in terms of position and direction. The only answer was to remove the shower head and spray by hand, all this whilst standing in a slippery bath without support. But we still loved the hotel regardless of shower!
Staff friendly and room clean. The bed was the most uncomfortable bed ever,it was sunk in the middle and we both had a bad nights sleep because of it.The restaurant was closed on Friday night but staff told us of a nice restaurant a few minutes walk away, which was good.
Ease of finding and good parking The room was much too cramped and the meal was very poor. Staff were over-occupied with a large group for dinner.
Easy Accesss No
Generaly convenient locacation Staff at this location not very professional, provided rooms that were not ready for occupation and not concerned when this was pointed out .Reluctant to provide safe internal storage for bikes dispite requesting this when booking . "Special meal" not available. Wine of the month unavailable alternative served without comment or apology .Accomodation requiring update bathroom "shabby" with bath nothing more than a shower despite sufficient room for normal sized bath .
The rooms could be a little bigger, but having said that there was three of us and a baby.
Rooms are conformable. Restaurant is nice. Garden is nice as well. On checkout, they printed out dinner's bill with more than half things we didn't have previous night. They added wine, water, sweet buffet and more.
It's relatively cheap (compared to other hotels). And just do not expect anything special. Cheap is cheap! It's a bit filthy.
Very cheap hotel with everything you need for spending a night or two. Free parking and internet is a nice addition!
Basic but very clean None
The hotel was trés bien.
We had a lovely meal in another hotel along the road our night at the hotel was fine and breakfast was good all very basic but good would stay again
The hotel was run very professionally with friendly owners and staff. The rooms were excellent, clean and cosy . Hotel is in a convenient location by the town square. Breakfast and coffee were extra good.
The friendly help of the hotel owners and an excellent breakfast. The fair but that was not your fault just poor timing of the party by our friends
The bright, clean room; the charming, friendly service; great central location
Friendly greeting and warm hospitality - thank you!
If you are going to visit Provence, this is not the place to stay. There are 1000 better places. If you're forced to be in Pt. St. Esprix for a reason then this hotel is as good as any other. Avoid the town all together, if you can.
Good position for exploring surrounding area. Very comfortable. Wonderful welcome from the owners who were very happy to offer suggestions for dining in the town and surrouding area.
Nice comfortable relaxed hotel and excellent helpful staff speaking english and scandinavian, good brekfast,
Well located with good hands on English speaking owners(Managers). Good location in centre of Pont St Esprit
Overall, a descent place to sleep. The staff are doing their best to make you feel super but... ...the place is still an old hotel to stay. Clean but old looking and feeling.
Nice to go to the river/canyon with a canoe or a kayak. Need a car to go there, 15 min. drive from the place you can hire canoes.
Convenient location in town, cheap parking, free internet, owner is friendly and speaks english. N/A
Easy booking. Good, helpful hotel staff. Room was small, hot and overpriced.
Location in town center and pleasant 15-minute drive along the river to Marcoule; owner is friendly and speaks english; free wifi; excellent value. N/A
Liked: convenient location in town; friendly and helpful staff; good breakfast; free wi-fi that worked well in the room. Not liked: very small room; shower fitting kept falling off the wall; unpleasant smoking smell in the hotel, though it had no-smoking signs posted.
The place is central, close to restaurants. However, we could sleep without any problem of noise. The city is wretched.
clean room, nice view from third floor, friendly staff little bit small room
good stopover hotel, easy to find and near the weekend market. make sure you arrive before the 22.30 curfew, or call ahead. This is more like a B&B than a hotel and the owners go to bed.
Wi-fi seems to be weak, and I could not get connected.
Adult TV was open even without any access limitation. Not good for families with children.
The staff were very friendly. The hotel has no ac, but seems to have been designed for it. Thus, my room was like a sauna (42°); it was "cooler" (36°) outside than inside.
We liked the atmosphere of the entire room, and, the forwardness of the person at the reception (the same person was in charge both times we stayed at the hotel this year). The receptionist did a great, but unsuccessful) effort to try to help us filling out the information needed to achieve benefits via Balladins Card Not as such (do not know if that corresponds to utterings that other people have written on your website)
Nothing, the name hotel is too much
well situated, kindness of staff, I did appreciate the fan in the room considering the temperature :-). It was/is perfect to my purpose. Actually, no, it answers its promises very well.
The hotle, situated at the top of a hill, commands a very fine view of the region. We were greeted warmly at our arrival. We enjoyed a very good meal that evening, for a very reasonable price. The rooms were clean and the amenities were a good value and it makes a good stopover while travelling. We do plan to go back there again, as do our friends. The decor is getting dated and could use a refresher. The road running past the Hotel is very busy and the sound does travel up. If you are a light sleeper that could bother you.
Good friendly people. Did not like that people could see into the bathroom
I absolutely loved it. The best hotel of our trip, very charming. Wish we could have stayed longer, and will certainly try to return. Delicious food too.
A very charming cosy hotel in an medieval village. Excellent restaurant with a very good three course dinner menu.
It is only possible to like this "hotel" if one has a weird sense of humour or is desperate to sleep in a museum. It is really a very expensive chambre d'hôte. There was no swimming pool as listed on booking.com. There was no wardrobe or places to stand suitcases, or TV, or any other facility. Breakfast was good quality but very small rations and no choice.
The garden was a fabulous little retreat...so beautiful! I really enjoyed sitting out there and would go back just for that. The room was clean & had interesting decor and a large bath which was nice and relaxing (tip: you can buy lavender oil at vignerons coop at roundabout on way into BourgSt.Andeol for a nice aromotherapy bath.) The A/C worked and bed was comfortable. I liked all the cool old artifacts and furniture in this old converted building. The town of Bourg St.A was kind of sleepy, but sweet and near to Ardeche Gorges. I wish I'd stayed longer there and at this hotel, but I was heading south so only stayed overnight. The owner spoke English and gave info about local sights and how to get there. I couldn't get the wifi to work, but could just have been a service provider temporary issue, as apparently there is usually wifi.Parking for this hotel is in front, in above ground municipal parking lot next to the river, but the entrance to the hotel is hidden & around back (no elevator) so you have to carry your luggage up hill and around the block from your car.I parked illegally for short time, in the back alley to unload/load my bags but this annoyed some locals who yelled at me in French.C'est dommage ;) At first, couldn't figure out how to checkin because noone at the desk & noone around, wandered around ~40 minutes & even contemplated leaving since couldn't find anyone-then saw bell way up high above head on left of doorway~lookUp!
Our host Oliver was there to help us in any way and he indeed did so - we need medicine for my wife and myself and he took us to the chemist and doctor for prescriptions - he spoke about this 250 year huge home with great detail and respect - closs to lovely food - i had the best lamb meal i have had any where in the world - back next year. parking was in front of hotel and we could see our vehicle we had to go around the back to get to it - it was not a major problem - the surround country villages made up for one small inconvience.
