Pros: Very nice! beautiful scenery, especially the farm animals. We are excited and fond of it. After lambs were born, they were abandoned by the ewe, and God sent them to breast feed. We witnessed this great love, the love for life, and filled everything with hope and eternal spirit. He is a good shepherd. He knows his sheep. We have enjoyed a good meal in the country villa. It is the glorious life of the body. Very cute, and calves, we'll come again...

'The Tree House' has a lodge feel and is the magnificent home of Sanna & Ellis. Sanna is from Finland & Ellis, a Kiwi, is a filmmaker for National Geographic. The Tree House has amazing views, overlooking rolling hills to the Kaikoura Mountains. Sanna & Ellis built The Tree House by hand. It has many remarkable features; from two 9m tree trunks in the lounge, to a huge open fire built of rocks up to a ton in weight. The house has featured on TV and in magazines. Your room is cosy with a comfortable Queen bed, electric blanket, bar fridge and beautiful timber ceiling. The room also has an office desk and leather sofa. The room comes with its own private bathroom and toilet (not en-suit). The bathroom is very stylish with natural stone tiling and a timber bench top vanity. The bathroom has a shower and bath. Relax in the lounge with its two massive trees holding up the timber ceiling 9 meters above. Sit back and enjoy the sunset while sipping a wine, eat breakfast overlooking the mountains in the outdoor areas, or take a relaxing stroll around the walking tracks on the property, amongst singing birds and rolling hills. Feel free to exercise in the comprehensive gym downstairs. There is lots of equipment; treadmill, rower, bike, free weights and machines. Use of the gym is complimentary to all guests.
Pros: The place is beautiful.
Cons: The room is more like a storage shed, though a pretty one. The small, uncomfortable bed is in a loft wedged up almost against the ceiling and if it's warm out, look out - you'll be trying to sleep in an oven. The bathroom is not attached to the room. You have to get dressed and go outside to get there. The hot water in the shower was erratic.

Pros: Location was absolutely stunning! Could see that so much love has been thought into the build of this home. Beautiful open fire and wood features throughout. The owners are so lovely and even dropped us off and picked us up for an event we had nearby. Breakfast was a basket of goodies at our door in the morning, yummy homemade bread, fruit, juice, yoghurt and muesli was a very nice touch. Do not hesitate to book here!
